I am the owner of a Chrysler 300c and have taken my car to Crown Motors Service Center several times for warranty work. In the beginning, communication was poor, but the work itself was completed and I received my car back within a reasonable timeframe. Later, when Crown put a new person in charge of the Dodge/Chrysler service area, things improved. On two different occasions, my car was taken in quickly, I was updated promptly, and repairs were completed within an acceptable timeframe. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was the exact opposite. On August 26, 2025, my car had to be towed into Crown. The next morning, I called to confirm they had received my key and paperwork in the night drop box. This immediately became a nightmare. Their AI operator couldn't understand what I was calling about, and it took considerable effort to reach a live person. While it wasn't the person I asked for, at least he confirmed my key and information were safe and assured me that a service tech would call me soon. That call never came. On August 28, I tried twice to reach someone, only to be sent to voicemail. The 29th, I called twice more with the same result. After the long weekend, on September 2, I made three more attempts--again, voicemail only. I was finally given the Service Manager's number, but after leaving messages, I never received a call from him either. Ten days later, someone (not a Dodge/Chrysler service tech) finally called me back, only because (as he stated, "now that the manager has been called) I was told to call you. I explained my situation, and he promised to follow up. Days passed with no word. By day 13, I called again and spoke with someone else who said they would "see what they could do." Eventually, I got another call from the same "not a Dodge/Chrysler" person, who told me the problem, assured me it was covered under warranty, but warned it might take "days and days" to get the part. When I checked with the warranty provider, I was told the part could be delivered within a day. Despite this, I heard nothing further until September 12 at 3:38 pm--day 17. The call began with, "Come get your car." When I asked for clarification, the person apologized and told me who it was, and it (my car) was ready but that the shop closed at 5:00. He offered no after-hours pickup option, no lockout service, no coordination with sales to release my key. I had to call someone else myself to finally arrange one of those solutions. By day 18, I was able to retrieve my car from the sales department. My deductible was waived, which was appropriate given the appalling service. But I never once received a call from the Service Manager, despite leaving multiple voicemails. I never received an apology. The only person who reliably communicated with me throughout this ordeal was the warranty representative--ironically, not even their responsibility. I have supported Crown Motors' Service Department in the past, because until now, my experiences were acceptable. But this time I witnessed firsthand what many others in the community have already told me: Crown's customer service is severely lacking. My Chrysler is now 12 years old, and I'll soon be in the market for a new car. I can say with certainty it will not be purchased from Crown Motors, which is a huge bummer, because I am a believer in shopping in my local community and support businesses that are owned by local people. When I brought it up the next day, I was brushed off with "it's well within RAM specifications." It looked terrible, and only after threatening to return the vehicle did they finally fix it. Fast forward to 2021, my truck's radio failed while it was still under warranty. They replaced it at no cost, which was a relief at the time. However, in 2025, the radio failed again--this time affecting the navigation system. I was hit with a $200 diagnostic fee, and my truck sat in their shop all day with no updates. It wasn't until just before closing that I learned I'd need to shell out nearly $1,000 for a new radio because it was "no longer under warranty." With less than 30,000 miles on a six-year-old vehicle, I feel this is clearly a recurring manufacturing issue, not my fault. Moreover, Crown Motors should be more actively pursuing their customers' best interests with RAM, the manufacturer, instead of leaving us to deal with these repeated problems on our own. Since my purchase I've had them do all the servicing. And I had them install lowering springs. My only fault was with the last service when the mechanic somehow changed the dash layout. This is for the Ford Fleet Department on behalf of my cousin. My cousin brought in his Ford bus because the PCM needed to be programmed, but they didn't ask what was wrong and just made him fill out a sheet of paper, then guaranteed to have it programmed in couple weeks. A month flew by and they never called for an update, so my cousin called and they lied saying they called few days earlier then said they couldn't program the PCM despite guaranteeing it a month ago leaving my cousin homeless for a month and counting. He had no choice to leave it at this dealership because this is where it stopped working and they were the only ones who said *and guaranteed* they'd fix it. They said their technology is too new and couldn't do anything about it. They completely lied to my cousin from the get-go. They recommended another mechanic who my cousin called and said they couldn't do it either. My cousin asked for this dealership, at the very least, tow it down the road to another mechanic but they refused. They then hung up on him - and I was there for this entire encounter. I was moving from So. California to Corvallis, OR, in the middle of August 2020, and my 2017 RAM Ecodiesel truck was full of my belongings and my cat. Suddenly, the truck just stopped running on the 5 about 20 miles into the mountains past Redding. Crown Motors is the only RAM/Jeep repair shop for miles. I called, and was told that they were 3 weeks behind and I could make an appointment. But when I explained I was moving, just passing through, and had a cat with me, they got me in right away. The tow got there late afternoon and I was told they could look at it in the morning. Turned out a sensor in the turbo was clogged. I was back on the road by 11 the next morning. It was a great experience working with them. Very accommodating, they recommended a few motels I could try, had a driver take me to the motel, and picked me up first thing in the morning. Too bad there is nothing lower than 1 star. I purchased a Ram truck from a private party. Was directed by UConnect how to update the software. The update failed due to their issue not mine. Opened a claim with them. Was instructed to make an appointment with Crown Dodge in Redding. The truck was unusable for the 3 weeks it took to get to the appointment day. Truck would need to be towed since the software issue has made the truck not start. Yes we checked the battery. Not the problem. We have the truck towed to Crown Motors for our appointment. When we arrive we are told they can't do any warranty work, for at least 6-8 weeks. The service writer Cody actually said to me "you can have it towed home and make another appointment in 6-8weeks". Then he proceeded to tell me he had called over 60 people today to reschedule them. I asked why I had not received a call since my appointment was today. He just looked at me with a deer in the headlights look Then said if I just wanted to pay for the work they could do it. Sounds like bait and switch if you asked me. I will never go back to Crown motors again even if they are the last service provider on earth. For those of you with Fords, Dodges, Honda's, and Nissans stay away. They initially told me they would need my truck for possible 2 months....it's under warranty and because it's their fault they can't get the replacement parts, they refuse to give me a temporary replacement vehicle.I called Dodge Customer care and they had me on the line for 1 hour.....they tried calling Crown Motors and couldn't get through either.........their solution is maybe I could call the dealership again tomorrow and see if someone answers the phone!!! THEY HAVE THERE OWN GAS WHY CANT THEY REFIL MY TANK TO WHERE IT WAS LEFT WITH THEM?! They had talked us into buying this car instead of the one we wanted imagine that. They probably needed to get it off the lot and knew it wasn't in prime condition like we were told and swore. I'm actually blown away. Accessories put on and they new when I signed the contact that I needed a fifth wheel and specifically requested a fifth wheel. Now they are refusing to add the fifth wheel even though it was added in with all the accessories and I signed for. my parents on mother's day drove to Redding from Yreka to specifically buy a New Dodge Truck, my father's favorite type of car and truck for 68years now. They paid close to $70k for a new 2020 truck with lots of add ons, and in a certain color blue etc so it was well over MSRP. They received their new truck on Friday May 15 2020 and it was not what they wanted. Not only was it the wrong color blue but many purchased add ons are missing! The Truck was to be delivered on a trailer but instead, the truck was driven up here by a member of the staff who was not wearing a mask or gloves and didn't even bother or offer to wipe down the inside of the truck that was being delivered. This just shocks me that a company was so careless with the lives of its customers and couldn't even bother to deliver what the customer wanted and paid for. Truly disappointing that in these troubled times not even the truck industry or dealerships will take care of its paying customers. in the photo the light blue truck color is what we wanted on the new truck. I would give Zero stars if I could. I would NOT recommend Crown Motors if my life depended on it. Disgustingly unprofessional and incapable of providing acceptable customer service. I've purchased 2 brand new vehicles from them and have had nothing but issues, let me explain. The first time I ever had my oil changed in their service center, there was oil left all over my engine cover, and then the second time, there was oil all over the inside of my windshield from when they put the service sticker in the window. I am also always missing my tire stem caps after having my tires rotated. I've also called several times to ask questions in regards to my manufacturer warranty, however they never called me back after I left several messages and now I am out of warranty which results in me spending extra money to get things fixed that should have been free. Not only do they neglect their customers, but I have also scheduled appointments to get recalls taken care of, only to show up for that appointment that I had scheduled nearly a month in advance that they didn't have the parts. And then I received a call when the parts arrived, but yet AGAIN, when I went to pick them up, the parts were nowhere to be found. Also, 2 weeks ago, April, the customer service manager stated that she would have the service manager get ahold of me to resolve these issues, but it has now been 2 weeks, and still no call. I will NEVER recommend anybody to this business and I will be looking into another service center/ dealership for all of my vehicles needs. They are nothing but issue after issue. read more

This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I work late and live over 2 hours from this dealership, but the staff stayed over an hour late for me to arrive to purchase my vehicle. Not only did they stay late, they didn't at all seem annoyed with me for making their night drag on. This was a family-style buying experience that felt very genuine. The way this dealer is setup, they have a lot of the major brands all right in the same lot (it's a big lot) so you can easily just walk around to check out all their inventory with the same person. I didn't get to spend much time there as I was in a hurry to get on the road, but they had a very large inventory which was well organized. Every person I came into contact with was helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. The finance guy was hilarious and the manager who allowed everyone to stay late was very polite to both me and her staff. My sales person's name was Steven Roberts. Young guy, very knowledgeable of the vehicle, and most importantly not pushy at all. He said he was going to call me the next morning (didn't say what time) and he called me right at 8am with all the answers to my previous days questions. Steven worked hard to get this deal setup perfectly for me. He was on the phone with Chrysler, straightening out all the little nuances of the financing and gathering the answers to all my questions. It was locked down so good that I literally had to just show up and grab the keys. Phenomenal job by Steven and this dealer. I have never been to Redding before in my life and after this experience I would not hesitate to return. Great town with great people. read more

So He take it home and wife u tubed issue. So come to find out my stereo is stock 2015 radio In my 2018 car. I called manufacturer in Ontario Canada and they said that is normal. I bought a 2018 Dodge Challenger from Crown Motors in Redding, CA in June. I went for the test drive and asked where is the cd player? I was told I had satellite radio and everything else is outdated. My daughter tried to get the radio station she listens to and there was no satellite radio there. The app logo was no longer there! I took it back to the dealer where the service department tech. tried to reboot the radio he asked me to come back next day. I went back the next day and he said he had never come across a problem like this and said they would probably have to put in the correct radio. He said he would call me and let me know what was going on. I never received a call. I learned shortly after that I have a 2015 radio in my 2018 Challenger. I have made several calls to try to resolve this issue with no success. I have called Chrysler corp. they say go back to the dealer the dealer tells me that is the way it is. Buyer beware! Just to let people know. The service after the sale is terrible. I have had my Ram Truck for two years. All 3 times trying to make an appointment I have run into problems making it. They keep saying the will correct the problem, but it is the same every time. Their electronic way of making an appointment, they say they will confirm it, well they never did as they sent it to another email which they had on file, so why ask for it when you are doing the form. Then they give you a run around when you call for an appointment. I would never recommend this business, for any service. I will be driving out of town from now on.
