Cute little place. I had the French dip. It was really tasty. And plentiful. The onion rings were crunchy and big and also plentiful. The nachos were good. Just a bit too hard and crunchy. Husband said steak was decent. Son didn't care for the pulled pork. My only complaint is the waiter came by and put 3 empty cups on our table and walked away. We had no idea that there was a soda machine and we had to fill our own drinks. Not an issue but would have been nice to be informed. Was a bit expensive but it is a tourist town. read more

I read good things about this place on Yelp so I requested we grab something to eat here specifically. My husband wasn't hungry so he didn't order anything, but I got the pulled pork Mac. We ordered ahead so my food was ready upon arrival. Employees were friendly, bathrooms were clean, and the restaurant itself had a fun atmosphere. Overall, even before eating my food, I liked the vibe of the restaurant so I was looking forward to trying my food. The pulled pork mac was not really something I'd order again if I'm being honest, but it was still ok. Hear me out on this. I love Yelp and rely on it a lot when traveling. We almost didn't come here because it holds a 3 star review and I am so glad we came!! First, small town restaurants are what they are. I'm not expecting the best BBQ I've ever had and it's a small town with a lot of tourist so service can be hit or miss in places like this. I went in with those expectations and was pleasantly surprised. We were wanting a good dinner and nostalgic Route 66 experience and this place was it! It was a fun atmosphere and our service was great. We waited about 5 minutes before being seated. They were out of beer that night but had alcohol and all sodas. Sodas are self serve on their machine and my kids loved that. Our food came out quick and was good. Again, we were here for atmosphere and experience but the food was not bad at all. Would I drive out of my way just for the food, no. Would I drive out of my way for the experience, yes. Do I leave full because it was good, yes. We were in and out in about an hour. They do have a kids menu. I will add that picture. Portion sizes were good. My suggestion: go on a week night (we did). After eating shop the stores on this block. Great souvenirs of Route 66 and Grand Canyon. They had great people working the stores and great gifts at great prices. The meat feels like previously fully boiled and then slightly roasted. Then the meat is covered with heavy bbq source to make it flavored. And there is almost no meat in ribs and it is super hard to rip it from the bones. The only comfort is that potato salad is fresh enough. Regarding the high price and lousy food, try some other restaurants and do not just pay to see those decorations. read more

We came into this restaurant for ice cream heard good things about eating here. Our experience wasn't good came and stood for 10 minutes or longer and no one asked if we needed to order and we asked to order. The lady that ended up helping us seem so annoyed we bothered her for help and she had to make shakes for us. She kept avoiding us until another staff asked her to help and she rolled her eyes. Noticed another family sitting waiting for service and no came over to them they had to get up and asked if someone could come and take there order the customer said they were waiting for over 20 minutes. I thought it was odd that tax on our $44 purchase was $5 even, but only after I got home was able to see that other establishments in town charged me 10.4%. Such good food. We got the appetizer sampler and everything was great. These were seriously the best sweet potato fries I have ever had and I loved that they were waffle cut. The onion rings were really good and tasted beer-battered. The marinara for the mozzarella sticks was super good and the sticks had a breading that had great seasoning. My daughter's food never arrived and when we asked for it she said it was sitting under the heat lamp, which we could tell because the fries were as hard as a rock. Extremely disappointed. This is a serviceable option if you're in the area, but it's not a destination by any means. Very spacious outdoor seating area, and the one-man band provided live music that was fun, if slightly off-key. Draft beer selection is from the local Grand Canyon Brewery. Our beer choice was bland, but perhaps the other offerings are better. Non-alcoholic drinks are self-serve, and you have to go inside the restaurant. The food was fine. We had the BBQ sampler platter, which is advertised as being enough for one VERY HUNGRY individual, and it wasn't as plentiful as the menu had made it sound. Part of that is due to the beef rib being so absolutely dry, chewy and clearly from the prior day(s) that it was impossible to cut and just inedible. The pulled pork burger came with no BBQ sauce, and the wait staff didn't offer. We didn't see our waitress again until it was time to settle the bill, so we didn't get a chance to ask her for BBQ sauce. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would... so we have a large party 17 people. When we went in we expected a wait the host said it would be 40 mins, ok that's fine we waited over an hour and when we were just about to leave they seated us... no explanation about the drinks until we had already filled and drank some. The service was absolutely god awful and me and my wife were extremely livid. The waitress herself had the worst attitude and any time we asked her a question it seemed like it was the dumbest question in the world. After waiting and as we placed our order we were told the food would be an additional 35 mins... that was the final straw we told them to cancel the order and give us the bill for the drinks. Do NOT come here to eat this place has a nice look as it is a old school looking diner but that's is all it has the rest of everything is horrible and I recommend going anywhere and I mean anywhere else read more

This place has the iconic look and feel of the old Route 66 and is very inviting. The menu has a lot of options that all look great. The burgers I saw coming out looked delicious! We chose the BBQ Brisket plate and the beef ribs plate. I hate to say it, but this was not the best BBQ that I've had, and I wish I would have tried one of their burgers instead. The Brisket was dry, and without some BBQ sauce, it would have been hard to eat. The portion size was huge though, at least a half pound or more. The beef ribs were also huge and not too bad but were smothered in BBQ sauce. The problem with that is the sauce was very sweet and reminded me of the sweet and sour sauce often found at cheap Chinese restaurants. Good BBQ doesn't need a lot of sauce. This was not good BBQ in, my opinion. The drinks were good though, we had margaritas and they had a decent selection of mixed drinks and beers. The service was good, very fast and friendly. Overall 3 stars because of the BBQ. If I had a burger and it was half as good as they look, I would have given more stars. Come try for yourself, and you be the judge. read more

The atmosphere for this restaurant is really cool so we decided to stop here to grab a hamburger. We were seated right away but it took 10 minutes or longer for our waitress to come to our table. I called in asking order to go, they said they don't do orders over the phone no more. When I got there and wanted originally to order a Smoked Longhorn Burger to go for $20 + tax she said they just raised the price to $28+tax showing me a new updated menu (ridiculous price $30 for a burger), so I ordered a Brisket Sandwich which was my second best choice. Came out to $23 and some change and They do charge 3% or so on top for Credit cards so I handed her $25 cash. Tourist trap. The place is decorating in classic 50's diner. The food is overly priced for how poor quality it is. The fries were soggy and tasted old. I added for grilled onions and got burnt ones. The lettuce was wilted. The burgers were rubbery and lacked beefy flavor. It's obvious every ingredient was frozen and cheap which is a high disappointment when paying $22 for a burger. June 13, 2023 - Cruiser's Cafe 66 (Williams, AZ) One of our favorite things to do when we're in Williams is go to Cruiser's 66 Cafe where you can get a variety of appetizers (like Jalapeño poppers), smoked brisket sandwiches, burgers, and a variety of other tasty meals. They have both indoor and outdoor seating at Cruiser's. We always sit outside so we can listen to the music. They have a full bar where you can order tasty beers, wine, and your favorite spirits and mixed drinks as you listen to live music from talented local musician John Carpino, as he sings and plays acoustic guitar, harmonica, and percussion doing a variety of classic rock, country, and audience favorites. On this June evening, we headed over to Cruiser's after having dinner at another local restaurant in town at about 5:45 to enjoy some refreshments and listen to John play. We were seated right in front of the stage, which is perfectly positioned on the patio at the outside corner closest to the street. Our server, Lindsay, came over promptly and took our drink orders, an IPA for me and a glass of Chardonnay for my wife. Both drinks were delicious, and we ordered more as the evening marched on. After John finished his first set, which was awesome- Jackson Brown, Eagles, Neil Young, Simon and Garfunkel to name a few, we invited John to join us at our table. He graciously accepted our invitation and we had a wonderful time talking with him. We got to have our picture taken with him as well. Enamored with the wonderful evening we had listening to John's music and talking to him, we bought a thumb drive collection of his music and signed up to receive his up and coming new CD that will be released in a week or two. We'll definitely be back to enjoy Cruiser's and hear John perform in the future! John usually plays during the warmer months from about 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. My mom and I stop here every time we visit Williams. It's our tradition. We love this place for the nostalgia environment and great food! This visit around (5/25/23), we brought my grandparents who were totally brought back to what they call "the good ol' days!" We all had the Smoked Pulled Brisket Sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The brisket had a good flavor to it and the BBQ sauce was tasty! My mom and I always ask for more BBQ sauce because they often put very little on the top of the meat. The fries were crispy, but a little on the dry side. Although, dipping them in to the BBQ sauce/ketchup helped solve that issue. As for the service, it was okay. Our waitress was Adela. She was also training a new employee at the time, who was very nice. Adela seemed to have a lot of experience as she was showing the trainee how to enter our drinks in to the system. Though, there was a moment when the trainee could not find Adela to help her with taking our orders. The trainee was a little confused as to how to enter the brisket as a sandwich. I applaud the trainee for asking another employee for assistance, who was able to help her locate the sandwich in their system. Once she learned how to enter it, she was able to enter our other orders quickly. Our food came out just as we ordered it! Great job! In addition to the staff, the only part that I found to be a little unprofessional were the younger staff members (women) standing around the front entrance/counter on their phones and giggling at their phones. They appeared as if they were not being very attentive to the customers. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The service here absolutely sucks!! Our order consisted of 2 waters, a coke, a Bloody Mary, Grand Canyon nachos, a half rack of pork ribs with a baked potato and a bbq sampler plate. I asked that the nachos come out first to which he said no problem. We waited quite a while for our drinks that never came. All of a sudden here comes our nachos, the ribs and the sampler plate. At this point he finally brings the drinks to the table minus the coke to which my friend asks about his baked potato and his coke. The server says he will be right back with both. At this point we try the nachos, ice cold! The food was a little better than room temperature. Finally a lady shows up with the baked potato and it's not what he ordered so back to the kitchen. Still no coke! Our server comes back outside and my friend catches attention to get his coke. "Sorry. No charge for the coke." And he went and finally got it. The potato finally comes back out and is made correctly. Never once were we asked if we needed anything or how the food was. We didn't bother complaining about our food and left everything we didn't eat. I didn't want to wait another hour for them to get the food right. The owner needs to fix things before he has to board up the doors. To think channel 3 news was just there giving them good reviews a couple weeks ago. What the heck happened? Oh, he charged us for the coke. Thanks to the owner for his generic response. It shows how much he cares about his customers. 90% of his customers will never be back because they are tourist and unfortunately that's how he treats all of the customers. read more

I had the 1/2 Rack Spareribs with potato salad, Baked Beans, coleslaw and cornbread. Also added a smoked sausage. Ribs we're fall off the bone tender and tasty. The sausage was excellent. Potato salad and baked beans were also quite good. Coleslaw had no flavor but the cornbread was very good. My girlfriend had the bacon cheeseburger. Although it was a bit overcooked instead of medium rare it still was quite tasty. The french fries were a bummer though. Dried little hard overcooked. 1 Star. The chocolate shake needed a lot more chocolate to be called a chocolate shake. Ouster bland in flavor. All in all I would be here again. read more

A wonderful patio for all the Williams people watching along the main strip... The food is excellent & the portions are appreciated. You may even catch live music on the patio if you're lucky. The table service is a bit slow, so this may not be yours stop if you're on a schedule. However, the servers are very nice & the food comes out quick once you're able to order.
