This is a great spot for tasty and cheap Thai food. I was blown away by how inexpensive everything was for the portion sizes. I ordered a bunch of items including the khao soi, phat ke mao (drunken noodles), tofu fries, papaya salad, and thai iced tea. I enjoyed the khao soi the most but wished there was a bit more soup to go with the noodles. I thought the texture of the drunken noodles were great. The tofu fries unfortunately did not hold up well on my walk home, but overall a great meal. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and looking for a quick place for take out or dine in. Haven't been to DFW in so long, came back to my ol' stomping grounds and thought we check out some new places that weren't here when I was here. Actually there's a lot that wasn't here when I lived here, never mind that. Came here straight from Love Field and needed a good meal and this was a good option to satisfy that hunger. So many places to eat in Uptown and this spot is in a new modern looking shopping center with a lot of other restaurants attached to it. Came here around dinner time and it wasn't too busy so we were able to order pretty quickly. It's order at the counter and they will call your name type of deal here. We decided to get the "Phat Ke Mao"(drunken noodles) and it was pretty tasty, freshly wok'd up so it came out super hot. Chicken with wide rice noodles, some bell peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes, basil on top of some lettuce, I didn't know there was lettuce til I hit bottom. Not spicy but there is a hot sauce bar so you can jazz it up. Get the "Kra Pao", that was mf'n good!!! Real flavorful! Ground pork with basil, bell peppers, onions, some chilis, fried egg on top over rice. Like I said, super flavorful, tasty and very satisfying! I like the veg is super crisp still, not raw, not overdone. If you get this, you won't want to share with your sig other. We also got spring roll bites as a side order, it was ok, tasted like a fried spring roll to me, you get like 5 to an order. Comes with sweet chili dipping sauce. I have given this place 5 stars on every platform for the past 5 yrs. Now it's very hard for us to support them anymore. I get that everything is more costly now, and that is certainly reflective of their new pricing. Fine by me. But you can't increase price AND compromise the food. Pad thai no longer has tofu- it is now replaced with green beans (which is crazy because tofu is an essential ingredient of pad thai). Additionally...chopped lettuce makes up a larger part of their portion now in the Drunken noodles. This place was a staple for Thai food in our family, we will move on now. read more

Suar Rong Hai (Charred Beef) - 5/5 - Chunks of angus beef. One of the best dishes they have here. Drunken Noodles - 5/5 - This is chicken with wide flat noodles. Industrial & Clean restaurant surrounded by business complex construction. The staff is very polite and the menu is abbreviated. There are daily specials to expand the selection. The food was good, but I think they tried too hard. The sauce/meat to rice/noodle is off: not enough base starch. And, the ingredients are over-seasoned. The curries are fine, but the ground pork was salty. The flavors are on point: it's just too much. That being said, I'd still return. Guy Fieri led me here, and he did no wrong. Fast casual and tastier than most Thai places, and the ability to take it up to any spice level. There is a small but wide range of rice, noodle and salad dishes as well as a few appetizers. I went with the Kra Pao (spicy basil pork with rice), and absolutely loved it. I threw on a little extra chili oil from the hot chili bar and washed it down with a Deep Ellum Dallas Blonde. On a night I was hangry and needed tasty food quickly, Crushcraft came through for me. It's hot, and spicy, the pork is perfectly cooked and the veggies that come stir-fried with the pork are nice and crispy. Large portion. tasty, right temperature. $2.95 - Thai Tea - Refreshing, fresh. I think they have the best Thai tea around. We sat at the patio, it wasn't too hot at the time and the kids wanted some freedom to walk around. The tables were clean, but the birds were relentless in trying to get a share of our food. Amazing food! But terribly rude & difficult to work with staff :( I so badly wanted to love this place, but unfortunately my experience with Grace, the shift manager, ruined it. Why Grace needs to be taken down as shift manager: I ordered two thai ice coffees, and I watched as Grace made the order. She completely filled both glasses with coffee, and there was space for maybe 3 drops of milk, so that's how much milk she put in. Literally 3 drops, I'm not even exaggerating. So when she brought me the drinks, I didn't even ask her to remake them. I kindly asked her to give me a small glass of milk (less than half a glass), so that I could dilute it because the coffee was way too strong. And Grace, very rudely says "no" without any explanation. Finally after asking why she could not give me just a bit of milk to make the coffee less strong, she said "I've done it before and I got in trouble. Everyone always asks for more milk, and I already gave you as much as I could." As much as you could?! 3 drops is the maximum your restaurant allows?! Also, if so many people are asking for more milk maybe it's become you make your coffee too strong! Finally after arguing for 10 minutes with Grace. She said she would call her owner and ask. 30 seconds later, she comes over with a glass of milk, "I got the blessing and won't get in trouble!" Oh yay...a blessing to accommodate a customer...Grace, learn to properly speak to customers. If you genuinely cannot accommodate a customer, do it empathetically and not rudely. The food: Drunken noodles: 3/5, had all the flavors of authentic drunken noodles! The noodles were cooked perfectly, and then vegetables were fresh. I found they made the noodles overly spicy, so it wasn't even edible (and I'm Indian, I have a high spice tolerance!) Thai fried rice: 5/5, really tasty, simple fried rice. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the cucumber added a nice taste and texture difference. My favorite dish here! Khao Soi: 5/5, SO FLAVORFUL. This and the fried rice were my favorite. It had a similar flavor profile to Malaysian laksa. The curry was tangy yet spicy. Great dish. Panang Red Curry: 4/5, Ive has better red curry at other places. It was flavorful and tasty. What can I say if you watch DDD diners,drive in and dives you know this place is legit! I'm Thai and the food was perfect! Chipotle meets Thaifood as their bowl and overall look. I have never been so excited about writing a review about food as I am right now. The vendor doesn't allow you to add spice level - DON'T PANIC - just call them after you make the order and they will take care of it. The Tom Kha soup...seriously can you add the option to buy the whole pot, or at least a big bowl?!? This was so good and full body of flavor. Veggie rolls were good and crispy. Green Papaya Salad...my mouth is in Thai Fire in a wonderful way. Not as vegetarian friendly as most Thai places | New location less cool Went to this place a few months back when they were still in their old building. I don't really know if the new place has the same charm. It's much more open and exposed. The staff is really nice though and the lady at the front helped me navigate their notably small menu. Turns out most of the curries that are marked as having vegetarian options are actually cooked with meat in them. They make the "vegetarian" version of the dish by straining out the meat and warn you that you'll have to deal with meat chunks. The only curry not made this way is the green curry. The caveat with the green curry is that only the hottest version is veggie friendly. Luckily I like spicy food and enjoyed the spicy green curry. read more

I always try to give multiple chances, but in general have just been astounded with how consistently hit or miss certain parts of their service are. The most recent time, I came during the very beginning of their lunch rush, and placed a to-go order (3 pad thais, 2 thai iced teas). We waited over 40 minutes for our lunch to be ready, and I honestly have no idea why. I guess since we placed a to-go order, they didn't think we were as important as the 20 other people who placed orders after us. We watched pad thai after pad thai zip off to people who placed orders after us, and only after the entire lunch rush for that particular group had gotten their food, we were able to get our food. I watched our ticket sit there on the line, first (most on the right) in line for at least 30 of those minutes. I felt so incredibly undervalued as a customer, and I honestly probably will not think to come back for a casual meal in the future. Another time, I specifically asked if the green curry was very spicy, and the cashier told me firmly that no, it was not spicy at all. I was confused since it's marked as spicy on the menu. Lo and behold, when I started eating it, there was a lot of heat. Why aren't the cashiers more knowledgeable about their menu? There are only a handful things on there, and it would be really helpful for customers if accurate information was given. Food itself is fine, pretty good overall. I like the consistency of their tofu, and their chicken isn't too dry. I like that their pad thai isn't so saucy, and their bean sprouts are fresh. The food - such an amazing twist on Thai food. I have tried the drunken noodles on previous visits but this time I had the Kra Pao. It is one of my favorites. I like to add crushed peanuts and the sweet and sour sauce on it. It is a bit spicy so you might want to get some water for this meal. Everything here is affordable! This place is some of the best Thai food I have had in my life and I've been to Thailand. The aesthetics inside remind me of Thailand and how the markets tend to look throughout Southeast Asia. However, many people around us each had their own entree. To each their own ‍ I also love how they have a side bar with chili oil, sriracha, sambal, and other spicy toppings, so each person can make it as spicy as they want. Phat Ke Mao: These drunken noodles were fantastic in every aspect. I loved the texture of the wide noodles and how they just melt in your mouth. The chicken was delicious, and everything was just so flavorful. I would have wanted more spice, but I can never get enough spice. Overall, definitely a great option to get. I haven't even finished eating yet and I knew this one deserved a review. So before I get into details, let me tell you what I ordered. I had the OG Phat Thai (the pad Thai), spring rolls, and a Thai iced tea; they were all PERFECT! Now for the backstory: I normally hate pad Thai. Every time I've had it it's had a less than stellar taste, and oddly turned me off. But today I was in the mood to give it another try and I'm so happy I did! This pad Thai hit the mark. It was fresh and not heavy despite the tons of chicken, tofu, and the noodles. It was seasoned perfectly; I would describe it as a recipe they had been making for decades. There was plenty of it and I'm so happy it was because I devoured it. And then the spring rolls. The spring rolls were definitely a hit but not the star of the show. They were fresh and not overly stuffed but they also were on the more miniature side. But still worth eating! And my Thai iced tea, it was everything I wanted it to be. They have specific parking spots for them but not too many, but it says that you can also park in a parking structure nearby. Going in, I thought it would be like street food, where things would be small portions. Got the ohat ke mao: Drunken noodles chicken with wide rice noodle, fresh basil, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, chiles, on a bed of lettuce ($7.99) and the veggie spring roll bites ($3.75) They had a large amount of food here and it made you full. They don't skimp on the ingredients either- a lot of variety in there. It's gonna be a little spicier than I expected, but if you can handle spicy, this will be easy for you. This also tasted really healthy (maybe because there were so many vegetables). The flavor was excellent and had the "wok taste" that one oh so craves. Done very well here. The veggie spring roll bites- if you're a vegetarian you'll probably love this. I did not haha. xD Perfect crisp here tho. The decoration inside is very...colorful. After moving to Dallas about 6months ago, Crushcraft has become one of my favorite places to eat. Really good food and reasonably priced. I prefer the Chicken Drunken Noodles, but the Thai Fried Rice is a great option as well. Either way, pair your entree with the Veggie Spring Rolls or the Tofu Fries - both are amazing and I'm not really a tofu fan either. The drunken noodles have really good flavor and not always spicy. I like to ask for extra spicy, but either way they have sauces and peppers you can add. read more
