The price point was pretty good (approx. $10), especially for being a restaurant in Uptown. I did like the flavor of the sauce, and the chicken wasn't dry. We stopped by Crushcraft Thai Eats over the weekend. The restaurant itself is pretty cool and lots of different color streamers were hanging from the ceiling. First, we tried the veggie spring rolls which were very good. They were nice and light. Second, we tried the pad Thai which was good, but there were too many sprouts vs. noodles in the dish. Hands down the best Thai place in DFW! The prices are great, the food is always delicious and the ambience is bright and colorful. My go-to order is the pad Thai, khao soi (egg noodle curry), small side papaya salad, spring rolls, and cup of tom kha soup. The food is definitely on the spicy side but never too spicy that is not enjoyable. I love that I can order a small portion of soup and papaya for like 3 bucks unlike most places that make you order a large one for over ten. Great place to eat lunch. They have a very large indoor seating area and even some outdoor spots. They are constructing a quad area in between the restaurant and the other buildings surrounding it. The decor was very unique. They have a small menu so you get your meals hot fresh and quickly. Can't really think of anything bad that happened. I had the drunken noodles which were excellent and had a very good spice. My wife had the Thai salad which she is still talking about. A truly memorable experience. The hype is real! Before I get into it - my only piece of advice is that the staff member calling out our names to announce that our orders are ready doesn't have to yell into the mic hah. She yells so loudly into the mic that it's basically unintelligible! Anyway, I stopped by on a Monday at 12:30pm for lunch and there was already a line out the door. On a Monday! Customer service was fantastic and the food was delicious. And maybe it's because I live in California, but the prices were very affordable and on point! It's all counter service here, and they have an impressive amount of outdoor seating all around the restaurant (head to the back if you can't find any out front or on the side!). The man who took my order was super sweet, and apologized for the long wait, explaining that their system had gone down earlier that day. I had the panang curry and it was delicious! Flavor was on point and the meat was really well cooked. The curries I'm used to always have the curry and rice separate so I was surprised to see the two combined already, but I was cool with it! I also had a Thai tea, which was perfectly refreshing. This is a great spot for a quick, casual meal. Honestly, everything on the menu looks good. I totally get why Guy Fieri had to stop by. I did like that they had a little sauce station which you can serve yourself. The food came fairly quickly. Our dish was pretty small and the khao soi was lacking a lot of broth. We went here after seeing this location featured on Diners, Drive In's and dives but we were less than impressed. Seating was limited but it definitely makes you feel like you're in a Thai market - but from the tv show that's the atmosphere they were going for. The Thai tea was good. The lettuce wraps I got still had dirt in the bib lettuce and I had to wipe off a few leaves to eat with my chicken. Eventually I just gave up and ate the filling with a fork. I was not expecting the lettuce wrap filling to be cold as the menu wasn't very descriptive. It did have an interesting flavor though. My husband got the fried rice that had a bit of a sweet flavor we didn't care for. Was craving Thai food and my friend recommended Crushcraft so decided to order from there on Doordash. The prices were amazing, delivery was quick, and the portions were massive. Started with the Green Papaya Salad. Was spicy, but not unbearably spicy, and tasty. Then tried some of the vegetarian OG Phat Thai and Phat Ke Mao. Both were good. I personally could've used a little more peanut sauce in the Phat Thai, but it was exactly what I was craving. The Phat Ke Mao had a nice smoky flavor and with a good amount of toppings. Crushin' it! Honestly, Crushcraft is better than many of the standard Thai restaurants around town. I'm not sure why there aren't more fast-casual Thai places. Prices are reasonable (under $10 for entrees) although some might notice the portions are smaller than what you'd get for the same price outside uptown. You won't get super stuffed, but I find it to be the right amount of food. I like the Khao Soi. Not many Thai places serve this spicy curry soup, but it's one of my favorite Thai dishes. Crushcraft's version is a very good rendition and even has the crispy fried noodles on top. It was quite spicy for me but perfect on a cold day. Pros: Open till 3am on the weekend to satisfy your drunken cravings. Cons: You can't select the protein for the dishes. Eating your soup from a paper bowl makes you feel like a poor college student. It can be hard to find parking. Overall, one of the best spots to grab a quick bite in uptown. read more

Useful Tip: NO SEAFOOD Vegetation style Khao Phat: Thai fried $7.99 was just okay nothing spectacular to be completely honest and the jasmine rice was a bit on the dry side. Vegetable egg roll bites were pretty basic and blah as well. Papaya Salad was amazing also one of Guys faves in addition to the green curry! We were told upon ordering that they were both medium spice, we asked if we could get them more spicy and they were happy to do so. This place is located in the uptown Dallas area. I really want to give it a 5 star but the serving size of the meal for dinner made me rate it minus 1 star. If the bowl they serve the food came full (see pic), I might have given it a five star rating. The portion I received made me feel robbed-FEED ME . The service was AWESOME; the taste of food was AMAZING; and the ambience was GREAT (see pic). I thought I entered the land of THAILAND. If this is your first time here, it's self seating. There will be a huge menu on the wall( see pic) to the left once you enter the front entrance, so the people you may see standing there are not waiting to be seated. Once you make you selection, move to one of the staffed registers. If it's busy, another employee may come over to open an additional register. Don't worry if you forget what you want, they have smaller menus near the register. Despite some of the reviews I read here, there aren't many selections like I have seen at other Thai places. You can quickly identify the regulars as they by-pass the wall and head straight to the register to place their regular order or the dish they decided the last time they visited they would try next The flow of people going in and out were constant and the audience consist of couples, single people, and same gender dinner dates (friends dining together). So if you are looking for a great meal and some possible single people to meet, this is your place. In addition to a great meal, they also sell Thai and Dallas blonde beer. They have a lot of boxes everywhere but the streamers make it look better. I got the drunken noodles, it was spicy and filling. I loved the flavor and ate every last bite.
