First time visiting after it was taken over from Chef Tony. Came to dinner with friends. Staff and service was attentive and friendly. The request to move to a larger tables was accommodated rather quickly and without hesitation. That was much appreciated, there were eight of us sitting quite tightly in a table that seem more suited for 6, getting PTSD from Bistro Nah. We tend to order a lot and wished restaurants would understand that family style doesn't mean cramped quarters. The food was delicious, pre ordered some items, squab, large live shrimp and turbot. The steak was good, and the noodles and tofu, so their regular menu items were in my opinion better than the special order dishes. Dinner ended up being quite expensive due to the social order seafood and squab, and was left a little disappointed with the Turbot and shrimp. I might come back for the steak and some noodle dish, but would not spend that much money on the seafood.

Dim sum on a Sunday afternoon, seated quickly, traditional dim sum with modern tweaks that work. Various black truffle oil additions. Really classy upscale designed restaurant with spotless furnishings. Sliced gai lan (Chinese broccoli) salad style with truffle and roasted garlic was a great creation. Each dumpling has actual flavors and distinctive combinations avoiding the typical "everything tastes the same but looks different" happening in so many dim sum copycats. As such, the prices here are similar to Lunasia level but I enjoyed Crystal Palace's recipes a bit better. Covered 3-hour validated parking. Fully accessible. Limited V/V+ options. Definitely worth the return trip. Located inside the Marriott Courtyard hotel behind the coffee bar and in front of Bar Five 55. Tea choices (jasmine, oolong, pu erh, chrysanthemum, and Guan Yin.)

Service here was prompt and polite. Servers were very attentive and check on their guests unfortunately the food was too sweet for me. One complaint was... to present as a fancy spot, why use plastic spoon though? I just don't get it

Located inside Courtyard by Marriott, parking is validated by them if you park in their underground parking structure. There are also handful of parking along side of building designated for restaurant customers. We wanted to try out their dimsum on a Thursday around 11:30am, no wait at all. Not sure how it is during weekends. We didn't personally like this spot for dimsum, overly priced and food wasn't that great. But it's well decorated, table cloth is purple instead of yellow beige if that matters to you. Maybe dinner is better? However, I wouldn't be returning. Pan Fried Radish Cake - arrived lukewarm, plated well and garnished with some microgreens. But lukewarm pan fried turnip cake isn't what I'm looking for. I would rather have a greasy burn your mouth slightly crisp one. Cheung Fun - was good, slippery and silky. Choy Sum with Garlic Sauce - was pretty good, garlic lover's dream. Tons of pan fried garlics to pair with fork tender veggies.

Pretty large restaurant. We came early so was seated quickly. The servers were nice but it was hard to get their attention at times. The food overall not bad but not amazing. I got the liu sa bao (bun with salted egg yolk) and one was filled but the other was not. Same idea for the soup dumplings. The food did come quickly though once we ordered. I would come again! But not all the time.

Located in the Marriott hotel, they validate parking underground. There was no wait for a table for 5. We got their puer chrysantheum tea which was surprisingly good. Spacious seating with modern decor. We ordered some dim sum and regular dishes, including the chicken feet, beef rice roll, sautéed string beans, walnut shrimp, and siu mai. Everything was delicious except the beef rice roll. It's supposed to have minced beef inside it but it was just this dark brown flat filling that did not taste like meat at all. I don't recommend that dish.

Overall, tasty and fresh hot dishes. This spot is a classy, elegant, dim sum and dinner table cloth type. Went for dinner, so no dim sum. The chow mein noodles were huge portion, well seasoned, and piping hot. Very delicious. The sauted fish and bell pepper dish had excellent sweet savory flavor. I would give it a 5 star, but the service was very lacking for a higher end restaurant. We got the service of a small hole in the wall wonton noodle shop.

My family decided to try this dim sum restaurant in the hotel we were staying. The tea was not aromatic. The only thing unique was the shrimp and scallop dumpling in squid ink. The waiters and servers were attentive. Everything was mid and expensive as the Bay Area dim sum restaurants. Only good for special occasions and wedding parties.

The Crystal Palace is located at the Marriot in Monterey Park. They have the best food. We have gone twice now. Once for just Dim Sum and once for dinner. There is nothing not to like about this place. It is ever so clean and it is very comfortable. The last time we went it was so cold outside but the eatery was nice and warm, but not hot. There is great seating and when we were there it was not crowded. We did not have a reservation, but I think you can make one and I would if allowed. The place is really pretty and set up to seat a lot of people. The service was exceptional. They were all so nice and I did have questions about some of the Dim Sum. They know everything. Their dinner fish dishes are great and we love their rice. We loved the beef tripe and all of their shrimp dishes are great. Have fun.

Specialty items and some preorder items, with some not even on the menu were outrageously priced. Some per person, some per pound, and some by size. Fresh water shrimp were bland - expensive. Not worth it. Steamed fish amazing, but very expensive. Squab yummy, but overpriced. Not much meat on the bones. Everything else we ordered was delicious and amazing and you need to bring a big party with you so that you can share more items because the dishes are big. Service was amazing! Truly. This restaurant is at the hotel lobby where Chef Tony's used to be. I miss that place. I'd go back again, but I would totally skip special order items and stick to the menu. Service alone would bring me back. Really outstanding! Prices - huge disappointment. Again, bring a lot of people with you or you will miss out. They validate parking.

It's been our Christmas morning tradition since the kids were little to go get dim sum. This year we decided to try some place new and found Crystal Palace. It is in the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in the space that had been held by several unsuccessful restaurants in the past; most recently Chef Tony. Hopefully, this time it would last a while since Crystal Palace turned out to be one of the best dim sum places we've tried in a while. It is also one of the very few dim sum spots that accepts reservations. Unlike the typical canto abruptness attitudes, the service was also friendly and polite. Those who like truffles would love this place for truffle flavor is in many of the dishes. The obligatory hargow and shumai were very legit. The chashiu pineapple bun had the perfectly crunchy outside layer. Basically everything met or exceeded our expectations. The only thing I felt they could improve upon was there were many food delivery people but few waiters who we could flag down for services.

A classic traditional authentic Cantonese restaurant located at Courtyard Marriott- Atlantic area .... Dim sums menu are very attractive and various items for customers that love different kind of Dim Sums choices!! I love the most flavor item - Pan Fried Radish Cake!! Marinated n Pan Fried right on!! Tasty n delicious!!! The decorations of design for this restaurant is so contemporary n new modern designing!!

Overall: Relaxing, family-friendly, solid food, but expensive for dim sum Food: We came with 4 adults and 2 toddlers and ordered many dishes. Flavors were solid, portions generous, and we enjoyed them sufficiently. I would say the beef chow fun could have had more flavor though. Service: Staff were friendly, attentive, and kept a relaxed pace. Atmosphere & logistics: Good spacing between tables; comfortable for a party with toddlers. It's inside the Courtyard Marriott so it is very clean and well-maintained. Bottom line & tip: Would return for a calm, family-friendly meal

The staff are extremely accommodating, but like a real Cantonese dim sum restaurant, you'll need to flag them down for service. We ordered the Iron Buddha (Tie Guan Yin) tea, and it's rare these days to find a place in the SGV still serving loose leaf tea in iron or steel pots. If you value good tea and quality dim sum like I do, I highly recommend driving out here as a local -- it's worth it. That said, the bussers kept missing our bowl once it filled up with bones, so I'm knocking service down to 3 stars. I don't want to come across as nitpicky about the food, but if you're in business or finance, you know consistency -- flavor, texture, presentation, temperature -- is what really costs money. The chicken feet were well-flavored with maltose and bean sauce, with skin that was chewy and tore easily. There was some temperature inconsistency across the table: the BBQ pork buns were hot in the center but lost some warmth around the outer rim. The shrimp in the har gow was savory and not watery. The ground pork in the shiu mai could've been a touch more tender. Overall, I'll definitely be back again and again. The food is genuinely good quality.

I feel like I could get the same fix from other dim sum restaurants that are not as high in price. They do have other elevated options like the truffle xu mai, which was pretty good, but expensive. Not really worth the price in my opinion. The service was good, it was pretty busy and the workers all work together to take care of each table. They're not working in sections, which helps the service. Their ambiance is your usual dim sum restaurant, with decorative chairs and table clothes. They offer tea at an extra cost. The parking is limited and you have to find the garages that are usually behind the buildings. It's a pretty penny to eat here, I'm not sure if I would come back again.

Everything, and I mean everything, was so delicious. One of the best dim sum places I've been to. The pricing of the items ranged from $8-$10 per item we ordered which is expensive but as a treat every once in a while and for the amount of time and effort that goes into making dim sum, it was worth it. I've tried making dim sum at home and it is so hard! The good part about the beef noodle soup was the beef chunks weren't too dry nor fatty. The noodles, however, didn't taste like the fresh hand pulled kind you'd find at other restaurants but rather the dried ones you can get at a supermarket (they tasted like the Quon Yick dry noodle). The broth isn't necessarily bland but I think it could have used more flavor. The soup dumplings had a generous filling, but there really weren't much flavors coming from the seasoning. It just tasted like pork and soup. The skin is a bit thicker than what I've seen at other places, but at least they didn't break. I wasn't a fan of the fried buns though. They were fried too crispy to a point that the skin was dry and crunchy and all the fluffiness was lost. Same with the soup dumplings, the filling could have used more flavor. The ones at Kang Kang Food Court would be the clear winner here. For the price, the portions are pretty fair. The menu is very limited, but it's very carb-focused, so it's not a great place if you're looking for alot of protein options. They don't really offer much in the vegetarian department.
