I was not sure what to expect given I have not had much Cambodian food but this place was a hidden gem! Felt like home cooked food. The prices are a little high but the portions are huge. Also they had run out of some of the soups so if you want to try things, would recommend coming early. The somlor machu kreung was my favorite dish. It was a sour soup that had a flavor similar to tom yum. The eggplant dish was also very good. The beef skewers had some good pieces but some also very fatty/tough/inedible pieces. The beef anchovy was good but also some cuts of the steak weren't the best. Finally, I also really liked the chha kreoung with chicken. It had a very savory lemongrass flavor. Place is cash only.
The food was soo good !! I tried a new Cambodian restaurant & I'm so excited to find a new spot ! The service was great , so sweet ! I love papaya salad & asked them if they can make it Lao style , they were so kind to do it & it was soooo good ! The beef skewers were so big & juicy ! Great portions ! The egg rolls are pretty big also , crunchy & savory . The restaurant gave , very family vibes . Like you'll definitely feel comfortable to just sit & eat & feel like home .
All kinds of mixed feelings after dining here. The good: The young man who took our order was super friendly, welcoming and accommodating! The student noodles with pork was delicious! The iced coffee was solid. The bad: The women who work here were a lot less friendly. The tables were so close to one another that we couldn't sit across from one another. Food also took an incredibly long time to come out even though we only ordered two dishes--student noodles and beef skewers. We also had to wave down a server just to follow up on the iced coffee that I ordered, especially since this was already after the food had finally arrived. Lastly, while it was good that they had their own parking lot, exiting through the almost too narrow alley was incredibly challenging in either direction. All in all, still remain torn about returning.

If it's not obvious, it's cash only as posted in a lot of the signs around the restaurant inside and outside. The exterior is unassuming, with main focus being the food. Almost all of the dishes here are priced at $15 or $25, with one being $30. This makes some dishes well worthwhile while some dishes complete rip offs. I guess they scale the portions accordingly. We got the beef skewers, lot cha, and somlor machu yuon. Beef skewers were 5 large pieces for $15 so value is there. It came with a side of pickled vegetables. The skewers themselves were flavorful but the beef is fatty and some pieces are hard to chew. The lot cha has nice bouncy and soft texture, more ideal to use a spoon to consume and dip with the sauce. I got it with beef which was okay. The somlor machu yuon is a sweet and sour soup with shrimp and fish. The shrimp and fish were too seafoody in taste but the soup is soothing and very flavorful. Service for these places is usually okay, and it shouldn't be scrutinized as heavily. However, it was a pain to flag someone down and regulars have to give them a heads up for them to go to our table and requests are not fulfilled the first time around, so I have to complain about the service in this regard.
Small and cozy hidden gem. The food is really good. This is a Cambodian restaurant. The states Thai food, but that's just to draw in people that haven't had a chance to eat Cambodian food yet. They do have lots of Thai dishes as well as an amazing array of Khmer entrees. It was our first time here and pound for pu, it stands up to the bigger restaurants in Cambodia Town. We definitely recommend the restaurant and will be back.
Everything was delicious and for the amount of food we ordered the price was great. The restaurant is small so get there early or you will have to wait. However while we waited they took our order so when we sat down the food didn't take long. We definitely ordered to much for just 2 people but it was bomb and I will be going back with at least 2 more people
Parking is limited. Restaurant is not that big. We lucked out to arrive on Saturday around 12:30pm to get a table for 4 without waiting. We were with friends who have been here so they knew what to order. 3 dishes and 2 soups were what we ordered. A must is the bbq beef. Amazing flavors. Secondly is their fish / shrimp paste stew-like with raw veggies. Soup servings were huge. Maybe 2 orders were too much for the 4 of us but we had to try it. With rice, homecooking feel. Service was great and fast. Although they were busy, they were attentive to everyone. By the time we were leaving, a small line outside for a table. Worth a stop for good homecooking Cambodian food.
Came here straight from the airport. The food was delicious. There were 11 of us so we ordered a lot. We ordered duck feet salad, seafood soup, boat noodles, salty fish and scramble eggs, curry dish, and Phnom Penh noodles. I ordered beef somlaw myou krueng and the lady forgot the order. She said there were too many of us. Overall, the dishes are big portions and food was good. Make sure to bring cash. They only take cash and no other form of payment. Also, parking is a little tight.

I ended up ordering the pad see ew, which was gloriously greasy and large enough to take home leftovers. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming, and they were kind enough to provide hot water whenever I was running low. One thing was that they have a TV showing Thai music videos, which I thought were fairly entertaining to watch and really enhanced the experience. Overall, a nice experience - I'd love to come back and try their other dishes, as I am quite unfamiliar with Thai cuisine.
Closest you'll get to authentic Cambodian food outside of Cambodia! Have been coming here since I was a kid with my family because their stews/soups are the best out of all of Long Beach. Great staff; they treat us like family. Come check them out!
We came on a Saturday evening. There was plenty of parking in the plaza, and the restaurant was clean with great service. Keep in mind that it is cash only, which surprised us a little. We had the P'ork Jean, fish served with green mango, pickles, eggplant, and cabbage. The flavors were great. Most of the vegetables were raw and meant to be rolled with the fish and dipped, which made the dish really fresh, balanced, and delicious. We also had the beef anchovy, which was perfectly grilled beef with a great dipping sauce. We also met a Cambodian couple there who let us try some of their dishes, which made it clear this place is not only delicious but also authentic. There are a lot of options I'd like to come back and try next time. read more
Finally made it back to Crystal Thai Cuisine in Long Beach after years! I completely forgot to take pictures of the inside, but the restaurant is pretty small with a small parking lot. The inside is mostly the same as I remember, except for the seating. They still have the beautiful Cambodian paintings on the walls, and they had traditional music playing, which gave the place a really nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly, the service was good, and our food came out super quick. Just a heads up, they are cash only, so make sure to bring cash! I ordered the Thai boat noodles , and the broth was really good and flavorful. The meat was also pretty tender. It was nice coming back after so many years, and I'm happy to see that the food is still good! read more
Long overdue journal about this joint! Came to LBC's Cambodian new year festival at the community college and had such a great time seeing all the locals and culture. We've never been before and it was nice. We really wanted to feast it up at the stalls but the lines were so long and it was so hot. Thankfully we found this amazing gem! This place is strictly CASH ONLY. So please come prepared. We came and it was a full mad house. Lines and parking was full I knew that's when we were going to get a great meal. Came with my mom and we DEF ordered more food than we can take on. My mom hasn't had Cambodian food in a while so we def made people wonder why we ordered so much lol Food was so savory and delicious. Seating is limited hopefully they can expand. I think they deserve it as a lot of people raved about their dishes. Service was friendly as well and short staffed due to the holiday. All patrons were really understanding of that. I would def come back again or wishes I wasn't so far so I can DoorDash this! read more

There's not many Cambodian restaurants where I'm from, Sacramento, so if there's one where I'm visiting (living now!) it's a must. CTCC did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was delicious! We'll definitely be back. Only downside, they accept only cash and aren't on Doordash :( read more

Amazing find in Cambodia Town in Long Beach. Not the most glamorous feel, but that's part of the appeal. It feels authentic. There is Cambodian music and music videos playing on the TV. Cambodian snacks for sale at the counter. And staff are friendly and willing to help. It has a nice casual vibe. Food was terrific. The Lot Cha noodles were unique and delicious. I got it with shrimp, which were plump and tasty. My wife got the Nom P'jok soup noodles dish - honestly a flavor I've yet to have; so different from Chinese and Vietnamese and other Thai dishes. Highly recommend both! A friend got the Beef Skewers and they were amazing. Like a beef jerky taste but soft and tender and juicy instead of hard and dry. Gem of a place. read more
One of the best Cambodian restaurants, if not the best in the area. This is as close as you can get to home-cooked, authentic Cambodian dishes. All dishes are family-style portions. To start, the Beef Skewers were full of flavor, moist, and tender. It is slightly sweet, and salty with a light smoky taste. It is paired very well with the side veggie salad, crunchy. It cuts through that fattiness. The Papaya Salad with salted crabs was delicious, crunchy salty, and spicy. My favorite is Samlor Machu Kreoung, a traditional Khmer sour soup with beef, intestines, and tripe was a standout. It's so good and authentic tasting perfect for the colder weather and if you are a bit under the weather. It is fully loaded with ong choy. We had enough leftovers for the next day. But the star of our lunch was the whole Fried Catfish served with Mango and Tamarind sauce. This is not your ordinary fried catfish. The catfish had a crispy skin outside but moist and flavorful inside. The size of the catfish was good enough for 4 people. The restaurant looks like a family-owned and operated. The service was warm and welcoming. I love to see a steady stream of Cambodian families coming in. They must be doing something right. read more
Came because I was craving Nom Banh Chok- a Khmer style Cambodian fish based green curry soup! It's so delicious here and you get a big bowl for $15. I preface by saying that service is pretty much non existent; at least the few times I've come in it has been. You pretty much gotta flag somebody down to take your order; then go to the front to pay.. But sometimes, the service isn't the star when the food is excellent! This time I made friends with the guys sitting next to me- they were intrigued because I was familiar with their culture so they shared with me a few items from their table.. Yay!! I got to try their beef sticks and papaya salad.. I will say that those beef stick were top tier, and I've tried lots!! I highly recommend!! They were juicy and very well seasoned with just enough char.. They recently had an upgrade inside so the restaurant looks so much better than it used to.. Oh and for all my Tap/Apple Pay friends, stop and grab a few dollars because Crystal is Cash only. read more
It can be tough to find good Cambodian food. This particular restaurant was found by my son and it easily made 5 stars. CASH only so be forewarned The location has some parking and we were off hours so expect to spend some time trying to park if you come during a busy time The Food: Crispy Spare Ribs: Fried pieces of spare rib. Well seasoned and yep crispy. They were tender and just the right give when eating. The excellent house sauce was perfect with them. Beef and Shrimp: Tender beef with green onions, and prawns. The sauce tied it together and the prawns were perfectly cooked. The house sauce again was excellent. I suspect that we (or at least me) was prejudged when it came to heat. It was pretty mild to say the least. Fortunately the tray of condiments allowed us to kick it back up. To be fair I get Gringo's at places a fair amount and it not like you can carry a sign with your "scoville rating" lol Excellent spot and we will be back read more

CASH ONLY Food was good 3.5/5. I didn't like the texture of the sesame balls. I did a pick up so I had minimal interaction with the employee. The parking stalls were narrow. The restaurant was dated but it did have a very authentic fee to it. read more

We've basically eaten our way through the entire menu, but there are a few standouts we just can't resist: the Salaw Machu Kreung with beef is a tangy, savory delight; the beef sticks are legendary; and the beef pleah salad is the perfect blend of flavors and textures. Every dish hits the spot, every single time. Consistency is everything!! One heads-up: parking isn't the greatest, so be prepared for a bit of a hunt. But trust me, it's totally worth it once you get your hands on that amazing food. Service is always amazing here! It's a hole in the wall, mom and pop's shop. As far as food is concerned, everything we've had was phenomenal. It was made fresh to order, delicious, savory, and packed with flavors. Home cooked meals which brought me to childhood, very nostalgic. The only downside was that there were no prices on the menu. The 3 dishes totaled $79 (excluding tip) so I'm almost certain I got ripped off. It's a shame too. I would've highly recommended this establishment if it wasn't for the shady prices. read more

Try their KoKor. I always come here for it. It's tasty, full of veggies and authentic. My 80+ years old dad says it's taste like home, like Cambodia. I originally wanted to put four stars because parking is tight here but decided to change it back to five stars just because we really like how they make Cambodian food here. read more
