    Fiesta Omelette

The people that work here really do make the place. They were amazing! Explained everything and were super kind! The restaurant was clean and the pastries on display looked delicious.... The Papas Rellenas were good when they come out and are piping hot! I loved the dip that it came with. The side salad was delicious! The dressing was amazing. I ordered the ropa vieja sandwich... the meat was full of flavor and was delicious!! The bread was amazing! Super soft and good! And then an expresso chatta to drink.... Soooo good! We will definitely be back!

I've been going to Cuba Cafe for years and it hits every time! The inside is clean, nothing to over the top but everything is well laid out. The people who work here are always so pleasant and the food is delicious. My go to is the Ropa Veija Omelette, I love the variety on the dish: salad, red beans and rice, side of bread, and the omelette. The bread they include is so so good. Nicely toasted and buttery. My boyfriend usually gets the French toast breakfast, you can never go wrong if you're looking for something savory and sweet. This day we both tried the ropa veija sandwich with the option of sweet potato or regular fries. We decided to get different fries for variety and both were very good. The sandwich was a solid 8/10, the bread was the highlight for me. It was very unique and soft, I only wish it had a bit more meat but I'd definitely get it again. Their coffee is amazing, we got a drink off menu.. I can't remember the name but it was wonderful. I recommend you try this shop and support a good local business !

This review is for the iced macchiato I had. It was very good! The espresso was rich and smooth, perfectly balanced with the cold milk, and lightly sweetened. I would have liked it a little stronger, but overall I really enjoyed the drink. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Favorite Local Brunch/Lunch Stop when in the area. Service is amazing. The owner is always very friendly and never fails to greet us when we stop by. The little host and hostess also bring together the life of this little family owned restaurant. Always brightens up our day! Our go to's are: The Cafe Con Leche. Tried them hot and cold, both, ON POINT! The meat pies are my personal favorite. The guava and cheese Pastellito's, when I am craving a sweet cheesy treat.

I visited Cuba Cafe for the first time recently. You order at the front counter when you walk inside and they have indoor and outdoor seating available to enjoy your meal. Everyone that we encountered was very nice. The young lady at the counter asked whether the meal was going to be to go or eaten in the cafe. I chose to eat there and found a table and waited for my food to arrive. I ordered the pollo con frijoles y arroz with a mango smoothie. The flavors were really good and I loved the rice! The papusas and strawberry smoothie was also good. I will definitely be stopping by again to try some other items on the menu.

After visiting the Miami, FL area only a couple weeks prior to coming to "Cuba Cafe", I still had the strong urge for some Cuban food cravings. But being back in California, there isn't a whole lot of options. And I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across this place as I was making my way from Sacramento to Napa. Established in 2016, Cuba Cafe is located on the northwest side of Vacaville in a small strip mall at S. Orchard Ave. and W. Monte Vista Ave. They do have limited hours of operation being opened Tuesday through Sunday from 9am to 4pm while being closed for business on Monday. I ended up coming here during the early afternoon of Saturday 4/6/2024 at around 12:15pm. Parking was very easy to find while the business was also simple to identify with large green block lettering. The inside, however is very cheerful, well-lit, and very inviting. The yellowish-green walls brightens up the vibe here. The two LED screens show a very vibrant menu showcasing Cuban breakfast items, pastries, espresso drinks, smoothies, and a bunch of sides. Since I was just looking for some small bites, I ended up ordering (2) "Croquetas" with (1) "Guava & Cheese" pastry and (1) "Cafe Con Leche" (which is espresso & steamed milk); their version of a Cafe Latte. Everything came out to a very reasonable $10 + tax. My Croquetas were ready in just a couple minutes followed by the pastry and my drink a few minutes after that. I will say that having gone to the Little Havana area of Miami, this place definitely gives it a run for its money. I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious and authentic everything tasted. I also spoke with I believe was the owner of the business. Him and the staff were very gracious and accommodating of letting me photograph the inside of the business as I even had a conversation how there just isn't many Cuban spots in California with this being the only one in Vacaville. Great quiet locations, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and delicious food. What's not to like about "Cuba Cafe"? My rating, a unanimous five stars.

Este lugar es una Joya. This place is a jewel homie. First off seems and proud to say that the business is doing good. They came out with key chains, definitely means that they are doing something good. Every time I slide through "Vaca" we end up grabbing a Pastelito, cafecito, or a Cubana. Which I recommend you try the Pastelitos Guava con Queso, Carne and I know they have a third one that I can't recall. Super good full of flavor light and crispy pair that with a cafecito con leche or a Cortado. You'll have a great start to a day. Had the Cubana today super light, toasted smeared with some butter on top of the bread. Look chikas and homies stop by and show them some love. You won't regret it. The service is great very Familia Oriented Business.

Omg I can't believe I didn't know about this place! It's a cute little family owned business with very welcoming staff. The place is clean and has vibrant decor around the restaurant. The food is AMAZING! We ordered two different plates and some coffee. We were not disappointed. These dishes are authentic and have so much flavor packed in them. We devoured it lol. The coffee was amazing as well. It was espresso with steamed milk, sugar and made to perfection. Everything was chefs kiss. I'll definitely be back as they are easily one of my top five favorites now.

Vacaville is so lucky to have this place!!! The food is SO GOOD. After the first time I tried this place, I ended up going back 4 days in a row. I'm pretty sure anything you get from here will be good. You won't be disappointed. The first thing I tried was the pan con bistec, the ropa vieja plato and Cuban sandwich. Everything is so flavorful and tastes like a home cooked meal. The ropa vieja plato was my favorite. And the fried plantains are perfection. Get extra of that. The pastries are also amazing. The guava one is my favorite. The options they have are the meat pies, guava, and guava and cheese. Aside from the delicious food, the service is great as well. They are super quick and very friendly. I really love the family friendly vibes they have. I will definitely be coming back here!

Potato balls 2 for $3. Yum!

I have had this place bookmarked for-ever. I finally dropped on by for a weekend lunch. The counter service cafe is in a neighborhood shopping center in the suburbs across from a fire station. Once I stepped inside the cafe, I felt the welcoming vibes. The owner was talking to old and new customers in Spanish and English. Treating everyone like a new friend. Luv that. The food was pretty darn tasty. I will be honest, I have never been to Cuba. But my taste buds like what they like. And they luved ropa vieja platos (braised beef stew) $16.50 and the papas rellenas (potato balls) 2 for $3. The ropa vieja meat was shredded and flavorful, spiced right packing subtle flavors. I'm gobbled that up. Delicious. The plate was served with conjer (black beans and rice) and fried plantains. Mmm. The plantations were fried to a nice caramelization to the perfect natural sweetness. The potato balls were made of mashed potatoes filled with a ground beef and deep fried to a crisp golden exterior. Those are comfort food for sure. Every culture seems to have a version of potato balls. Theirs did not disappoint. The pastries are all homemade and sell out quickly. The customer in front of me was a regular. She told me all the pastries are home made and are delicious. But after I ate, when I went back inside to buy some pastries. I was slow on the roll, they sold out. The interior is bright, modern, clean, and comfortable. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It is a small quaint place serving up mighty tasty food. I will definitely be back and to try other menu items and will not snooze on the pastries.

Let's start with the pupusas .. they are not made fresh when I asked when they were made the women said she didn't know that it could have been the day before or a few days ago.. and they were not good.. The sausage that comes with breakfast taste like cheap hotdogs the bacon was perfectly crisp the scrambled eggs were ok the toast was delicious the French toast was eatable but not really good Ok the burger : the patty was perfect the flavor the size I loved that The sandwich was delicious Over all I couldn't really complain but it could very well be better .. it's just not worth the price

    Papas Rellenas and Cuban sandwich.

Mom wanted Porto's and I heard this was similar. We got the Cuban sandwich. Ham, cheese, roast pork, mustard and pickles. The bread was toasted and soft. Really good. Also got the Papas Rellenos. Tastes like Porto's. Took home a couple turnovers. Guava & cheese and coconut. Light, flakey, and warm. I couldn't taste the cheese. Maybe she gave me just guava. Still good. Quick service and friendly staff.

There aren't too many options in my area for Cuban food that I'm aware of, so when I was scheduling a business lunch with a colleague I thought this would be a good spot; and that it was! This little cafe is located in a grocery store strip mall and seems to do a good, steady business. I love the atmosphere! The decor just screams Ricky Ricardo! Checking in on Yelp gets you a free appetizer. I ordered both croquettes and papas rellenas. Both appetizers were really tasty. For lunch I ordered the Pan con Bistec, or what most would call a very special steak sandwich. It was delicious! The bread, the garlic spread, the sautéed onions, and of course the marinaded steak made for the perfect lunch. I chose beans as my accompaniment, which were good. I could have chosen French fries or sweet potato fries, which I would have preferred but I was trying to be good. The owner/cashier/hostess did a good job of providing very good customer service. She ensured we had everything we needed and answered questions to help with making menu selections. This is another spot I'm going to have to return to.... It was really good!

A lot of the reviews mention coffee, does the restaurant have a strong coffee odor? I am very allergic to the strong odors of coffee and some purfumes.

There is no odor of coffee, they are also a frozen yogurt store. They do sell a Cuban coffee, but as I stated I didn't notice the smell of coffee like s coffee shop. It is primarily a Cuban food and frozen yogurt shop

With authentic flavors and food items, there's not many like it around town. Bodega serves up food from the Caribbean Islands. One of their most popular dishes is their jerk chicken. They have this both as a chicken wing appetizer and as a plated dinner. I personally really enjoy white meat when it comes to chicken and the dinner plate was leg and thigh so I opted to go with the wing appetizer. My only complaint about it was its size. I thought it could have had more wings as I thoroughly enjoyed each one with the jerk sauce I added to it. The wings were very crisp on the outside and full of flavor. Adding the jerk sauce or their house made hot sauces enhanced the flavor even more. I could really see myself coming just for these wings! I also had the Cubano sandwich. This hot, pressed sandwich has ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. It's a popular item that also is bursting with flavor. The combination of all the ingredients was mouthwatering. It comes with a side of fries to round out the meal. Service at Bodega was very nice. We found the servers to be very patient with us and the food came out reasonably. I was specifically there for a birthday party where we had cake being served from outside the restaurant. Bodega has a cake cutting charge, but seeing our tiny cake they waived it for us! It's a cute restaurant and definitely different than many you will find around Sacramento. If you're in the pocket area, Bodega is well worth a visit!
