This is my go-to pizza delivery place. Consistently delicious and always faster than expected (I order on Grubhub). Pizza, rice balls, gencarelli salad, and chicken vodka parm are all great. Honestly, their chicken cutlets are the BEST in town. Huge, thin, always crunchy. Order anything with cutlets! One time our pizza had shifted during delivery so the cheese had slid off and they delivered another one right away without question. Ordered takeout from here today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a pizza and cold antipasto- the antipasto was plentiful and delicious, and even had prosciutto and fresh mozzarella in it, which in my experience is a rarity for an antipasto (a well-welcomed one, at that!) The pizza was good, I would've preferred a bit more cheese but it was hot and tasty nonetheless. Prices are fair- $12 for the pizza and $13 for the antipasto. This place has become my go to date night location! BYO, Family owned wonderful little restaurant. Portions are huge can definitely make 2 meals out of it so doggy bag it up for sure! It's a little pricey but it's definitely a 'get what you pay for scenario' Everything is home made. And I think it's worth every penny... take advantage of the Groupon that's out right now. Service is fast, decor is cute. A few of the dishes I've had: The rice balls are absolutely amazing I can make a meal out of 2 orders of those alone.. The chicken balsamico is great very strong on the balsamic but I loved it! Chicken parm with vodka sauce is my husbands favorite dish.. it's delicious. Chicken Marsala is a little light but I still enjoyed it. Raviolis are great, salad is great, bread they give you prior to the meal is great! The minute we arrived we were immediately impressed by the staff. Our waiter Joe knew the menu and gave us great recommendations based on what we told him we liked. Excellent place for dinner in Nutley! I went with family and it was a Monday night - i'm not sure if it is always a special on Mondays or if this was just a one time thing but they said all chicken on the menu was buy one get one free. Three of us ordered chicken entrées and it was only after we left that we realized we could have ordered a fourth one for free to share or take home. I felt disappointed that the server didn't make this offer a recommendation while we were there. I had the chicken Dominic which sounds delicious on the menu but wasn't quite what I was after. It had a darker sauce and just wasn't as flavorful as the chicken Romano that another family member ordered. If I were to go back I would absolutely get the chicken Romano. I got veal parmigiana, penne vodka and a salad with fresh bread and it was so good everyone enjoyed it and asked where it was from. One of the worst restaurants that I've ever been to. This place is a disgrace to Italian food. The clams oregenato was all stuffing and no clam in it. The Cesar salad was mostly iceberg lettuce when it should be all romaine. The chicken marsala was terrible. We had a welcome package that came in since we moved to the Town of Nutley. The package came in on March and the coupon was for a free cheese pizza. The restaurant refused to honor the coupon since the issue date was February and and it expires in 3 months from the issue date. It was only 11 days expired. The food in this place is good, really it is. The issue is they are not consistent in their preparation of the food. Depending on the day you may get a great dish, salad and or pizza but that all depends on who is preparing it. Today ordered takeout and paid $19 for penne Arabbiata and literally received half of a serving of lukewarm pasta with four small peppers , very soggy focaccia bread and a Gencarelli salad with for whatever reason had melted cheese on top of it. Today is Friday Sept 4rd 2015. Again many times in 2016. Our first time ordering from Cucina 355 in Nutley. At first we called and the girl who answered seem a little bit overwhelmed and confused. She told me to order online the get a 10% discount, also said it would be at least an hour delivery. Ok. So we thought over a hour they must be busy which is a good thing. So we decided to go ahead and order online. Well let me tell you. The food was outstanding. So good and worth the wait. Chicken Saltimbocca was excellent. Calamari Fra Diavlo was tender and so spicy. Mini Rice Balls are so so good. Chicken cutlet salad I highly recommend! It is so hard to get the correct Italian Fusilli now a days. But they got it! Fusilli should be long and thick. Had dinner with my husband & in-laws here last night. Place was full and loud so it was a good vibe. It's BYOB so we brought some wine as well. We ordered starters - stuffed mushrooms, octopus and shrimp in broccoli rabe. It took a while for the starters to come out. Shrimp in the broccoli rabe came out first then the second starter didn't come out for at least another 20-25 minutes. The octopus came out on a giant wooden board which looked nice but it consisted of literally 2 legs. Tasted great but definitely overpriced ($15) for 2 legs. Stuffed mushrooms came out shortly after that covered in marinara sauce which was different but tasted alright. For our entrees, I decided to get the linguini with scallops & shrimp in pink sauce which was absolutely delicious! Husband got the rigatoni and inlaws got the chicken marsala & broncini. Everyone loved their food. So here's the thing - food was delicious & on point however the place once had one waitress attending to the whole place plus a large party in the next room. Busboys took forever to take plates or clean off tables (my father-in-law literally had to grab an extra plate off another empty table because they never brought us an extra we asked for). All in all - I'd probably order food from here but I don't know if I'd come back for a sit-down dinner. read more

The Vodka Chicken Parmigiana, Ravioli and the Rice Balls are a few of our favorites. If you come here on a Friday night, it's usually packed- which is a telltale sign of a great place. It's BYOB as well! Parking is never an issue and the servers and staff are always very polite and attentive. If you order takeout and you're within town- it's a speedy delivery! My mom's side of the family is all from Nutley. I've visited there many times so naturally on our move to NYC we had to stop by. I've eaten Ralph's pizza and LOVED it, but I had to search around for a place that could handle my dietary challenges. Cucina 355 popped up on Yelp for gluten-free. The decor is classy- this isn't a place to bring the softball team. There isn't a huge tacky TV blasting the latest sports' scores. But it's still comfortable enough so I didn't feel awkward in jeans and a hoodie. They were more than prepared to deal with cross-contamination. The cook grabbed my toppings from a separate location. While I waited for my pie, one of the servers showed me the GF menu which included lasagna and other options. I don't see this menu online unfortunately. It was about an hour until we made it to our room in Brooklyn. I was finally able to sink my teeth into my prize. I met St. Peter and he denied me access through the pearly gates due to my gluttonous ways, but I didn't care. This pizza was SO GOOD! I ordered the Gencarelli's Special on the GF shell. The toppings were heaped on my pie. The veggies were fresh and exploded with flavor. The sausage was seasoned perfectly. Every bite was paradise. There's a frozen pizza company called Against the Grain. Their crust contains cheese. For some reason, Against the Grain is the ONLY pizza crust I have eaten that doesn't have that dense bite. Even though Cucina 355 has that too-dense crust, it isn't awful. It's completely acceptable. The toppings do a great job of disguising the crust and I can't take any stars away for this problem that almost no one can fix. The next time I'm in Nutley, this will be my pizza stop. read more

Poorly run pizzeria.. bunch of incompetent kids behind the counter w poor customer service ..never consistent with any of their food.. one day a grandmas pie is thick, then it's thin, the sauce is thinly layered or the next time you order it there's whole tomato's in the sauce.. as in my case today thick watery layer of water on top of my pizza..if you order a buffalo chicken wrap one day the chicken is cut up or it's in huge pieces, or they will have tomato's cut up or they stick grape tomato's inside.. never made the same way twice.. Once waited 45 minutes for a soup!! While all the teenagers laughing hysterically in the back wondering how they are getting home.. I don't know who I am more mad at, the owner or me for giving them one too many chances. Will never eat here again!! read more

Came here tonight for my Mom's birthday. I was surprised they would take a reservation for 17 on a Saturday night! I expected things to be slow because of our party but I was wrong! I have to give credit when it is due. We figured we would try Cucina, a fairly new place in town. I was pleasantly surprised to see they have their own private parking lot. As some of you know many businesses on Franklin Ave are lacking in this area. We were seated immediately and waited on promptly, the service throughout the meal was second to none. We started with the rice balls with Vodka sauce, I highly recommend it, they were crunchy outside and soft inside, the Vodka sauce was amazing. My wife and I both chose the Fusilli Frutti Di Mari. (homemade Fusilli with seafood). It was HUGE and amazing. I'm a big guy and could only finish half of the entrée. We will make Cucina our new "go to" spot.
