I was so excited to go to Cuizine for the first time. I am a recent transplant from miami and I consider myself a foodie at heart. It has been difficult to find good restaurants in Brevard... until yesterday. When I arrived I was graciously welcomed and I decided to sit at the bar since I was expecting a friend to join me. The decor is elegant and "nonbeachy" which was refreshing. Don't get me wrong I like beachy casual bar restaurants but I've been longing for a bit more fine dining. I had a nice vodka tonic at the bar prepared by Ed the bartender. He was attentive and on point the entire night. My friend arrived and we decided on the flat bread and patatas bravas. Now my family is from Spain and patatas are a staple there. These did not disappoint! The spice was perfect and they were bravas enough! We also each ordered the escargot. OMG! I wanted to drink the sauce they came in! So needless to say I will be returning to taste all the other things on the menu. Before I conclude my review I want to let everyone know about the in house singer they have. On Saturday nights a glorious singer by the name of Haya performs. She is incredible. The music selection is fun and a good combination of classics and new trendier songs. The owners came out to the table several times to make sure my friend and I were enjoying ourselves which is always extra points in my book. A pleasant surprise. Had seafood spaetzle, creamy and delicious. Hubby had the pork schnitzel and it was perfect, tender and moist. A surprise was the delicious hamburger with Truffle fries and a small root beer float. The decor was understated but sophisticated. Service was good. One hiccup, we canceled bottled water and saw it was not removed from bill. Overall, very, very good and we will go again. read more

Finally tried this restaurant and was very impressed! Bartenders and servers were attentive and knowledgable. Everything is made from scratch from the appetizers to the desserts. We had the lamb chops and veal chop for dinner and cleaned our plates to the bone! Delicious!!! We are planning on being regulars for appetizers and drinks during the week! read more

As indicated in the name, the cuisine at this establishment is excellent, well prepared and well plated. Started with the Charcuterie Board from the small plates menu that was an assortment of cheeses and cold cuts. The sea bass in the champagne reduction was light, flaky, and overall excellent. read more

Ambiance was great, the server did a really nice job and the food was delicious! We had a table of four and had a steak, pork schnitzel, snapper and the veal. All were excellent! First time I've been to Cuizine. Both my wife and I had the Halibut steamed in parchment paper and it was great. You could taste the rosemary, thyme, bell pepper and artichoke and it was so incredibly moist which isn't typical with halibut. Great job and good service. David and Renee did a great job and I can't wait to come back. The brothers that run this place take food serious and you can tell they're artist. Finally, a good place in Brevard. This resturaunt has an excellent atmosphere, superb food for a reasonable price, and fantastic service. The parmesan-crusted veal chop was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and way bigger than I expected for the price. The risotto was a perfect compliment to the steak. Read amazing reviews on this place and was looking forward to trying it since there was a really cool and different menu. Was sat immediately upon entering and was greeted by a masked bartender. We were sat and started to order glasses of wine etc. with all of us still getting used to the mask policy I didn't even realize our server wasn't wearing a mask until she started taking us through the specials for the evening. I asked her if there was a no mask policy and she said they are not required to wear masks but if we wanted her to wear a mask she would. She said "we are all healthy here" I'm sorry how do We know how healthy everyone is in the restaurant. Also the bartender must have taken off her mask after she sat us..shady. I questioned if the kitchen staff wore masks and then noticed an unmasked bus boy. I don't want to eat somewhere that food is being cooked and no mask is being worn. My boyfriend and I said we felt uncomfortable eating there and walked toward the door. The chef/owner stopped me while I was leaving and said they don't have to wear masks and they just needed a "break" a break is when you take it down for a sec to take a drink or are in a private place. No stars here..lost out on a high bill last night due to that. Do you really want to be the restaurant that people leave because you just can't wear masks? Because you need a break? read more

Visited Cuizine last night for dinner. We were early for our 5:30 reservation but there were a few people sitting in the bar/lounge area. Initial impression was favorable, nice decor, kind of modern, but inviting. A waiter net us with a tub of table cloths in his hand and told us we could sit anywhere we liked. I find it a bit disorganized when the restaurant is still being set up after it is officially open, especially upscale places like this. We chose a seat by the window which had a booth like chair and a usual chair. Booth chair was shaped to fit in a corner and that made the seat s diamond shape instead of a square or rectangle. It looked nice but was uncomfortable to me as was wearing a dress so my husband sat there. They had a very nice selection of water, I chose cucumber infused and it was delicious although I wished it was colder. We started with Gazpacho soup, fresh pretzel bread, and a Wedge salad. The soup was outstanding, a little kick to it but really cold and delicious. The pretzel bread was hot, fresh, and soft. For dinner I chose the Cobia special. Our server told us it was prepared with Indian spices and had some heat to it. I don't like hot food really and not on my fish so I asked if it could be just grilled without it. The waiter said he thought so. The dish was served with organic peas (I detest cooked peas of any kind) and a cucumber/mint/ yogurt salad to cut the heat on the fish, and basmati rice. I told him not to give me the peas and although he had a look on concern on his face, he said he thought he could do it. My husband ordered the New York Strip which came with sauteed spinach and roasted baby potatoes. I asked him if I could have the spinach instead of the peas and rice. He hesitated and said he would check. The waiter came back in a few minutes to tell me the rice was not mixed with the peas, I couldn't have the spinach but I could have asparagus. That worked for me. So while we are waiting on our food, a person I thought was another server came by to show me the Cobia prepared as it was listed. I quickly realized it was the Chef and he was less than pleased that I ordered it without the spices. It was really weird. A short time later our meals came and there were really good. The fish was done just right and so was the steak. Both were very flavorful but not overpowering. My meal came with white asparagus which I love. When our server came over to check on our food, I told him the Chef came by to show me the Cobia. He sort of chuckled nervously and said he was aware he had come over. I gathered this Chef does not like it when people mess with his creations by substituting. I get that but initially I wasn't going to substitute anything I just didn't want the peas. The overall experience from a food standpoint was very good but the air-conditioner was aparently not working well in the area where we were seated. It was so hot even my 6'1' 145 pound husband was hot. He is all muscle and no fat so he is often cold when everyone else is either comfortable or hot. I mean so hot my hair was soaking wet on my neck. I gave this place three stars because of the airconditioning issue and the Chef giving me a hard time about the way he wanted to prepare the fish and not what the customer preferred. read more

I really enjoy CuiZine's happy hour specials. Everything I've tried here is fantastic. The place is a little bit dark, but it's nice alternative to the beach-y places. It reminds me of some of the places I enjoyed going to in DC and other big cities. read more

We waited a while before trying this new restaurant-so many restaurants have been through this building (good and not so good) that we kind of had low expectations; not fair, I know. We finally dined here on New Year's Eve and we were super pleased and surprised. The interior has been re-done, and as other reviews state-this is the first time someone has made great use of the space. Intimate but open, the lighting and low music were perfect. The gentleman who took our reservation (and may have been the same gentleman to greet us at the door) was very friendly. We had one drink at the bar and the bartender was terrific-smiling and attentive. Our waitress (Vivianne?) was wonderful-patient and kind-our table had many questions and she was obviously well versed on the menu. She was always available but never intrusive-a tough mix. Our food was fabulous, starting with escargot and ceviche, all the way to the desserts. The place was busy but we did not feel rushed. And although our table was kind of in a doorway we still felt that the space was intimate and quiet. This will definitely be one of our special occasion favorites and I would recommend it to anyone looking to celebrate or have a "fancy" night out...if you live in Satellite Beach or the beaches you know that fine dining is not something we have much of, and this totally qualifies. We call it "fancy" because it is one of the handful of spots you really need to upgrade from flip flops and shorts. Oh-one other thing (some will roll their eyes at this) that seems so small but is huge for me-the young man who poured the water never touched the pitcher to the glass-a sign to me that everyone is well trained here. In some restaurants the water pitcher rests on the glass every time the glass gets refilled-a sure way to pass a cold on from guest to guest. The proper way is to pour with the pitcher an inch or two away from the glass, never making contact to rim of the glass. This is a small thing I always look for when dining out-and this young man got it right-a very good sign. I really did not expect to want to write a review of Cuizine; when I don't like a restaurant I don't speak up-I don't want to knock a place on a one-time experience. But I was actually excited to tell people about this restaurant...they got everything right, as we say "from soup to nuts" and that cannot be a fluke. Been twice now. Had the sea bass the first time and the strip steak the second time. Both were amazing. The side was Brussels sprouts and those were awesome too. There is a lot to be said for a perfectly cooked piece of clearly fresh fish. The steak was ordered medium rare and it, too, was cooked perfectly. I have been to too many restaurants where "medium rare" meant "medium." The service was great, too. Never went without water and they were kind. My boyfriend also got the sea bass the time I ordered the steak, and his, too, was perfectly cooked. The dessert was also made in house, which I would expect from this kind of a restaurant. $90 for the 2 of us including one appetizer, one dessert, one sea bass and one 14oz steak. I think that's spot on price-wise too; hits the sweet spot of being priced appropriately for the product. Overall a great experience. read more

Delicious martinis. Tried the lemoncello martini and the huckleberry. Both were delicious. Nice happy hour bar menu. Enjoyed the coconut chicken. The bread pudding for dessert was amazing. Went here with my wife for the first time since the Dove moved some time ago.We were totally surprised how great everything was from the service to the food.They have a fantastic happy hour in the lounge where you can get some of the best appetizers we have had in a while for $5.00.You can also get small plates "that are not very small" for $12.00.Also wine is $3.00 off per glass. We ended up eating dinner in the lounge that night instead of being seated in the main dinning area. We had the warm octopus salad,seafood crepe that "was fantastic" ,the walnut feta flatbread "to die for". and baked coconut chicken skewers.Everything was cooked to perfection. If their was one complaint I had it would be the servers in the lounge area need to pay more attention to the people sitting at the tables instead of everyone at the bar,there were too many times when both servers were working be hide the bar and not taking care of the tables. I very glad we discovered this wonderful place.This might become our favorite restaurant in the future. read more

Nice atmosphere but I felt it is overpriced and over-rated. The staff were overly attentive in the beginning to the point where my tablemate and I couldn't have a conversation without being interrupted for no good reason. We were told that steaks were a specialty but I found my strip steak to be grisly and completely ordinary. My side of potatoes was overly salty, and I like salt!. The best part of my meal was the side salad. I'm not in a hurry to return. read more

I went with family for my uncles birthday, my aunt made reservations and we were all excited to eat there. My wife initially sat along the wall at a bench seat but she had to switch to a regular chair because the bench seating is too low for the table height. The table looked nice and had a modern feel, the menu looked appetizing. The waiter greeted us quickly We all ordered drinks I had a wine and my ordered a Cosmo, both were delicious. We ordered escargot, French onion soup, Wedge Salad, pork snitzel and Sea Bass. My wife wanted a 2nd drink, the bartender forgot to rim her glass with sugar on her second drink. Poor consistency of drinks was was an ominous start to our meal. The escargot arrived and it was good-nothing special, the onion soup was cheesy and tasted good. It took over an hour between appetizers being served and our main course being brought to our table, the snitzel was overlooked and hard like shoe leather, the sea bass was extremely salty and tasted a little fishy, I would not recommend either dish, the chef remade my wife's dish and later came out to apologize for the quality of our dinner...he said they were not expecting to be slammed with orders (it was a Saturday evening, I guess they weren't expecting to be busy) After the waiter gave me my check I reviewed it and gave him my credit card, he ran my credit card for $39 more than our bill, it turned out he put in the amount of another diners bill, he did cancel the charge and ran it again correctly the 2nd time. read more
