Parking was difficult, but we found a parking deck. It was close by. The restaurant is beautiful. They spent a great deal of time making sure the interior was right. This place is a must! If I lived locally I would definitely be a regular! We enjoyed the outdoor dinning, we did not realize how big it was inside, until we went inside to use the restrooms. The brunch pizza (really called sausage, bacon & egg pizza) had the oh so mighty provolone fondue on it, along with smoked onion alfredo, mozzarella cheese, hash brown and arugula. I would kick off the arugula, but just wow! So bomb! So bomb, we wanted to go back the next day, but we didn't have time! So we also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast burrito, also sporting the provolone fondue, so I got what I came for, for sure! The kids both raved about the banana bread french toast, especially the chantilly! So the food was a complete success and so were their drinks! For my wife's birthday she wanted to try out Culinary Dropout as she's never been but I've had the pleasure of the experience at the Birmingham location. We went on a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn't to busy as we got there just before the lunch rush. We sat at the bar and we ordered our food. I ordered the chicken nachos and my wife ordered the steak and fries. Her steak came out a little warm as she wanted it hot so they did recooked it and she was fine afterwards. Always wondered bout this place finally tried and came back the VERY NEXT week! It's that tasty! It's big and eclectic but sophisticated all at once so you can dress up or down and fit right in! I'm not the biggest fan of chain restaurants but this one is pretty good. The validate parking when you park in the garage so don't let that scare you off. I've been here a few times and sometimes the service is good and sometimes not so good, the last time our server must have been super high because he had no idea what was going on. Fantastic! I read a review that had me skeptical about going here as they said it was loud, however they had live music and it wasn't loud at all. The space is super spacious plenty of seating and can handle any size party. The appetizers were amazing! We had the pretzel bites with foundue cheese as well as the spicy shrimp crispy rice. Both were good, however the crispy rice was the star! My table ordered 2 Peking duck and shrimp fried rice dinners and 2 Mongolian short rib dinners. The fried rice was eaten until the plate was clean! Fantastic! The short rib was drowning in sauce and was super salty. I definitely recommend less sauce if possible. This time I tried the brunch menu starting with the soft pretzels and provolone fondue. Since I couldn't decide on my brunch item, I actually opted for two meals. I enjoyed the fried chicken and buttermilk biscuit and decided to take the smokehouse hash to go. My friend opted for something from the regular menu and decided on the steak frites. On a recent date night, where we were going to see a show afterwards we stopped in for an early meal right at 5 o'clock. We started with the pretzel appetizer and it really was very tasty but way too much for two people, and because my wife is a sucker for this kind of thing, she tried the shrimp toast which she loved. She said that she would like to go back and just get that for her meal with a salad or something like that. For our meal, we had a pizza and the meatloaf. The meatloaf was actually just OK even though it was supposed to be brought back by popular demand, I don't think I would get it again. The pizza was OK, but it was all bread and not enough toppings. Good flavor, but the balance was just a little bit off. I like a thick crust pizza with good flavor, but you still have to have enough toppings so it's not just a dry piece of bread. Overall, the menu looked good and we would definitely come back. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly and the restaurant itself is well decorated and inviting. But things took a turn early on when I ordered the Shaved Prime Rib Dip and was told they were out... insert eye roll here. I pivoted and went with the Steak Frites, while my friend ordered the Korean Style Ribeye Cap. When our food finally arrived, mine was cold not lukewarm, not even warm just room temperature. I'm not someone who sends food back often, but this time I had to especially because I order my steak medium. A manager (or someone in that role) came over and explained that the likely issue was poor timing with our orders. He was polite, apologized, and brought me some fries while I waited for a fresh plate. By the time my food came, my friend had already finished eating... and I was mostly full from fries and sneaking bites of his meal. And honestly? It wasn't worth the wait. The presentation was nice, but the flavor was just okay. Not bad, not great just... basic. That applied to both dishes I tasted. There was no standout moment or wow factor, which was disappointing given the menu descriptions. I did see a few plates of chicken go by that looked pretty good, so maybe I'd try that if I ever go back. But right now, I'm not in a hurry to return.
