What a niche coffee/tea and non-alcoholic bar! They specialize in enhancing drinks with various types of mushrooms that have unique health benefits. I tried the Lychee Martini ($15) which consisted of lychee, pear, lime juice, non-alcoholic gin and infused with chaga, kava root, kratom, and lion's mane. I tasted mostly lychee, but it wasn't too sweet. Towards the bottom of the drink, I could taste more of the concentrated mushrooms and it gave me a tingly sensation on my lips for a bit. The kava and lion's mane were relaxing. From Thursday through Saturday, they're open till 12am and it's pretty poppin when there's a DJ playing chill tunes or good beats to dance to on their small dance floor. The staff are very knowledgeable about their products and happy to explain any and all of it with recommendations. Their small bites menu is limited to nuts, olives, guac, chips and mushroom jerky, but they might have a pop-up outside. There was a really good pizza vendor when I was there last Saturday. Considering that we're at the lowest drinking rate among adults in 90 years, we may start seeing more spots like Culture Shrooms in the near future! read more

Words cant explain this place. They host cool events and the staff is second to none. It was my first time going and I was not familar with Mocktails. The owner explained how each product worked throughly I have subtle sleep issues. One of their great Mocktails not only made me feel great, but I was able to have a great night of sleep. Furthemrore, unlike alchohol I was able wake up refreshed without a hangover In additon, to their top level service, the customers are very friendly. It's silly that I've now, several times since they've opened, been walking by and thought, "I could use some mushroom cold brew", but still haven't written them a review. Well, that happened again yesterday, so I'm getting off my butt and writing them one! They have a bunch of teas and elixirs and stuff, but I always just go for their basic cold brew for $6. It's delicious *and* feels extra healthy with the mushrooms in it, and they don't charge extra for non-dairy milk! They also don't charge extra for alternative sweeteners - either a zero-calorie option if you care about that sort of thing, or if you like cold brew that's just lightly sweetened, and like less traditional sweeteners, birch sap! (I always go for oat milk and birch sap. It's honestly pretty tasty by itself, too, though. We have a lot of great options for caffeine around, but this is the only one with an in-house-grown mushroom blend!) You can also get their cold brew bottled, for the same price (but minus the oat milk and birch sap, obviously.) Everyone I've talked to there has been super knowledgeable about their products, and super excited about mushrooms in general (I guess you have to be, to work at a mushroom shop, haha.) In addition to the "mushroom bar" (nonalcoholic but caffeinated) drink menu, they also sell a wide array of different pre-bottled tinctures and things - but I've mainly just been there for the cold brew. They don't sell fresh mushrooms, but I did learn, you can buy mushroom grow kits from them, and for no extra cost, they'll grow them for you! (Just sadly not *those* mushrooms, I'm sure nobody is surprised to hear. I'm sure they get that joke from every single new customer that walks in, so I apologize retroactively to them that I made it as well, even though I definitely knew the answer!) read more

I found this gem when I was walking in Long Beach. From the outside it looks like some stranger things mushroom sci-fi vibe. When you step in, it's a cute cozy, personal mushroom theme shop.
