I tried Culver's for the first time and can say I likely won't be back. I heard that people recommended it so was excited to give it a try but the whole experience put a sour taste in my mouth. When we got there it was packed, really hard to navigate where I should be going but thankfully I decided to get a table first and then order. I showed my kids the menu before arriving so they knew what they wanted. I was too hungry to try experimenting with things so I decided on the butter burger. I got the value meal and added cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce tomato, mayo, ketchup. I ordered a single but despite me saying my order twice the young man taking my order still put in double. I can't eat that much so I ended up paying extra for nothing. I got a butter burger for my son with bacon and they forgot the bacon. I had to go back up and they gave me the 2 slices in the side. After double checking my receipt, I wouldn't have lied about that, but policy I guess. Also, the customer service made me feel uncomfortable. Not friendly at all and I felt like one of the young ladies at the registers was staring daggers at me. I was nothing but nice even when I went back up to ask about the bacon. I didn't mention anything about my burger being wrong and still felt weird energy. It didn't make me feel good. As for the food, it was just ok. Not much flavor on the burger. I stepped up after a few minutes and placed my glorious order. They give you a number and you go sit down and you wait for the goodness to arrive and when it does, it's like the music of the heavens is playing. My burger was perfect! Bread soft and warm, burger was thin and flavorful. Cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo... what else can you ask for? Fries were crispy and not. Curds were salty, crunchy and delicious. Pretzel bites were warm, soft and made even better with the cheese sauce!! Now on to the real show. The concretes! I didn't want mine to melt or waste it by taking bites during my meal so i waited until we were done and i went back up and ordered my perfect concrete. Located in University Drive in the Shoppes of Monterra, this Culver's has dine in and drive thru. We took advantage of the drive through on this visit. I will say this was a bit of a different drive thru experience. First off, they only take credit cards in the drive thru (I had brought cash). Ordering was fine. Then I pulled up to the window to pay and had to wait for what seemed like quite a while to pay. There was someone there filling drinks and what not, but I don't think they were the drive thru person so no one opened the window and greeted us for a bit. Once we paid, we were given a numbered sticker to place on our side view mirror but it wasn't exactly made clear. After 3 different spot attempts, I was correctly guided to the right part of the side view mirror. I waited for direction on where to go wait as this was my first time and eventually had to ask after kind of staring at the employee for a little. I was told to pull up and around the corner by the blue lid garbage can. We then waited for another amount of time that seemed a bit longer than expected (my companion had done the drive thru before and confirmed it was a quicker and smoother process last time). However the lady who finally came out with our order was very thorough and sweet. She read back our order and even described what everything had on it (better than the menu board did). She also told us to have a nice day and drive safe as it was beginning to drizzle. Now for the food. The fries were good, some were warm and some were room temp right out of the drive thru. The sandwiches are definitely elevated from traditional drive thru food and had good flavors. The spicy chicken sandwich needed some type of sauce or mayo as it was a bit dry otherwise (the sandwich as a whole, not the chicken patty). The pub burger is seasonal and I would consider getting again. Apparently all the burgers on the menu are butter burgers as it has to do with the bun being buttered and not the actual burger. This being my first time coming to any Culver's it was a good first impression. I've tried their burgers, sourdough patty melt, and fish sandwich but they also offer things like pork loin, Reuben sandwiches and pot roast, I like their burgers but I really like their fish sandwich. My boss swears on his first born that Culver's is the best fast food restaurant in the country. This past Friday we had a concert in Broward and found a location near by. We went through the drive thru and while the line looked long it went pretty fast. We ordered their butter cheeseburger, fries, Buffalo chicken tenders, and their famous cheese curds. The burger was solid the bun was very unique and I could see why they call them butter burgers. My favorite part was the fresh cut red onions it gave it a good flavor. The fries here are crinkle fries and had the right amount of crunch and saltiness. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened in Margate before the pandemic. They just opened a new location not too far from where I live in Cooper City. Let's start with the parking lot. It's tight, a bit of a maze to get through, and there's not enough space for the cars in the drive-through. I found it very difficult to pull in and out of the handicap parking spaces. The restaurant. It's new, it's clean, at least for now. They have plenty of help working, but they are not taking care of the things that need to be done. The garbage cans were over stuffed and needing to be emptied. There was no one walking around cleaning the tables or the restaurant. They also needed to have someone to maintain the soda fountain machine area. One of the napkin dispensers was stuck just beyond reach. The ketchup dispenser was all but empty, and so was one of the straw dispensers. What did we have? My daughter had a spicy chicken sandwich. Other than she thought it was a little bit too spicy, she said she liked it. My wife likes her Cod sandwich too. As for what I thought about the double butter cheese burger. It was just ok. Just another greasy glorified fast food smash burger. Now George's chili. It was way better than Wendy's chili. I think it was better than some of the chili I've had in other restaurants. The only thing I wish is that it came with a no beans option and something on the side to kick the heat up. We also had fries and pretzel bits. OMG! Was so excited for Culver's to open up near me but last night was bad. We ordered our food (no ice cream) at 7:05pm and at 7:23pm we still didn't have it. We went up twice and they said it would be soon. Finally our food came around 7:30 and it was literally ice cold. I took the tray back up and explained and the employees offered no apology and acted as I was a huge inconvenience. A guy with glasses who seemed like he was a manager went over and grabbed one burger to throw out. There was a bunch of back and forth but finally the chef from the back confirmed they were cold and gladly remade. Got our food and they gave me two fries instead of 1 fry and 1 curd. I explained and the staff member wanted to take a fry away to give me the curd when another employee told him to just give the curd. it was good - typical Culver's. Yummy fries and butterburgers. we also ordered a 4 pack of pint ice cream to take home so after we ate I asked for a bag for them and it was a whole ordeal. luckily I had the receipt so i could show them we already paid for the ice cream. We tried Culver's drive through... Not realizing how long it would take. I get the concept so the time makes sense, it just didn't work for us in this situation. Straight to the point: burgers and fries were good. I'd say worth the wait if you have time but there are other places (shake shack) that are comparable. The operations though needed some work. Where we had to wait seemed odd and if there were an emergency it would be a risk. Also having staff walk all the way around the building for each car made the process even longer. My boyfriend and I finally decided to visit the much anticipated Culver's that just recently opened! We're not big fast foodies but can definitely appreciate the more welcoming and true restaurant experience Culver's has, the interior feels like a typical sit down restaurant and they even bring the food to your table. To begin with, we tried the pretzel bites and chili cheese fries and they were both pretty good. The pretzel was soft and chewy and was great with their signature cheese sauce that I thought wasn't too cheesy and strong, same goes for the fries that had a nice rich flavor from the chili and cheese. This was also my first time trying a smash patty, it was juicy and packed full of flavor! I loved the amount of onions they give you (we both ordered our burgers with the 'works' option) and nothing was dry nor too greasy (super surprising for fast food!). My only say was that I thought the mushroom swiss burger lacked some flavor and couldn't really taste the cheese itself but the burger patty and fillings saved it nonetheless. To end our meal we ordered their flavor of the day custard which was oreo cheesecake. I've heard great things about Culver's from friends from the Midwest, so I was excited when one finally opened in South Florida! I was immediately impressed by how clean it is and how nice the staff are compared to most fast food places. The menu is super customizable, which is great. I got a meal with two chicken strips (perfect size to save room for dessert), the famous cheese curds, and a fountain drink. The tenders were just okay. The cheese curds were amazing! Some were a white cheese and some were a yellow cheese, which added to the flavor. They were perfectly warm and gooey. For the fountain drinks, they have their own Culver's root beer, which my husband loved. I also love the variety available for the concrete frozen custard.
