I visit Culver's on occasion. I don't write home about it, but they have a decent burger, chicken or fish sandwich and fries. I like the frozen custard concrete too. Their coffee is okay and a couple friends and I sat and had some coffee on our last visit. I also had a north Atlantic cod sandwich which was fine for a fast food restaurant. They have a military discount if you are qualified. The dining room is nice and clean with plenty of private booths. They sometimes will bring the food to your table if not ready immediately when ordered at the counter. It appears to have friendly, courteous, young people serving the customers which is nice. What you need to know about Culver's is my kids love Culver's. As for me, it's not love, it's more of a crush. The burgers and chicken fingers are both done well. I don't ever look forward to the fries, however, once I start eating them, I can't stop! The "take a number and we'll bring the food to your table when it's ready" works well for the dinning room, this format does not translate well to the drive-thru in my opinion. What is implied about the drive-thru is that it will be faster than going inside and ordering. This doesn't seem to be the case with Culver's. Almost every time we get our food to-go via the drive-thru we instantly regret the wait. Maybe increasing the priority of drive-thru orders would solve the problem? Maybe our Culver's drive-thru experiences are outliers and others have a more streamlined experience? Who knows. What I do know is that we will be back and my kids will be looking forward to it everyday until then. read more

Culver's is absolutely amazing. Their ice cream is hard to resist considering they use real cream and it's all fine and dandy until you start counting calories and fat grams. Which in the long run the ice cream is worth it in flavor! I made it out of there without any of that magnificent cream or other sweet treats today. I just got the Bacon Butter Burger and I subbed french fries for cheese curds (because who doesn't want cheese dropped in a deep fryer?!?!). I'm sure subbing the curds cost me some extra cash but how can you put a price on flavor? Really? Ya just can't do it! Their cheese curds are always hot and fresh, dip those into some marinara sauce and you're instantly transported to this wonderland where the trees are made of cheese and the rivers are red with that sauce! So so good! The butter burger was only barely warm when I got around to eating it (which was not their fault, it's the fact that I was working and eating at my desk, plus those cheese curds just had to go first!) so I didn't get the full magical goodness that it usually is, but it was still very good. Plenty of lettuce, onions, pickles and sauce (would have been some tomatoes too but I wasn't feeling like I wanted them). The ratio of condiments and veggies on a burger can get out of hand at some places but it was on fleek at Culver's! The bacon was crispy but still kinda floppy which to me is the perfect marriage. The food (and those dangerous sweet ice creams and shakes) are killer! The wait for my food was a little long in my opinion, however they were busy and it was during lunch hour so I can let it go considering the food came out hot and all the employees had a smile on their face while being patient while I squinted at the menu for a few minutes because I left my glasses back on my desk. The location is fantastic as well! Here are just a few reasons why: 1. It's super close to my job so I can drive there in a couple of minutes. 2. It's easy to access from either behind the building or if you are coming off of Veteran's Parkway. 3. It's right there on Veteran's Parkway which is (finally) gaining quite a bit of business on the Jeffersonville side. 4. They have a cute little outdoor seating area where you can sit and enjoy your food or ice cream that, unfortunately I haven't been able to sit at yet, but when I have more time (like after work one day maybe?) I am for sure going to enjoy one of those dangerous treats they serve! Visit for the butterburgers, but for sure stay for the cheese curds and ice cream! read more

This place is miles ahead of the rest of the fast food competition. Its bright, clean, FRESH and has high quality ingredients for fair prices. A few of my favorite things from this quick service restaurant is anything with their fresh Wisconsin cheddar cheese, their side salads with crisp cucumbers, croutons, cheddar, carrots and tomatoes, deluxe butter burgers with all the fixins', their amazing Culver's root beer, and their delicious, thick, flavorful chocolate custard. Forget DQ's Blizzards, get a Concrete Mixer, in fact, forget any restaurant's poor excuse for an ice cream treat and get a custard sundae with your choice of over 20 toppings (fresh fruits, peanut butter, butter scotch, four different types of nuts, hot fudge, whipped cream to name just a few). And burgers? Ha! forgetaboutit, their fresh, made to order burgers with Wisconsin cheddar on a buttery bun with fresh veggies is about as good as it gets fast food wise and always leaves me busting at the seams. They also offer vegetarian options, such as a veggie burger, which my bosses rave about at work. Their sides are the best in their category, fresh onion rings, cheese curds with marinara, crinkle cut fries, side salads, soups and chilis. All excellent choices (albeit, not the best for your heart). This store is very clean, quick and friendly. The food is brought to one's table when its ready with the number system. Overall: If you can't stand the thought of another Big Mac and cold fries, or less than fresh Whopper and watery coke, do yourself a huge flavor (ha! get it?) and stop by here, take a seat, order a burger with everything that you could want on it, some Wisconsin cheese curds, custard and root beer and be satisfied with fast food for once. Just know that your heart and arteries are going to be taking one for the team. *The only reason for four stars -- their classic crinkle cut fries are typically overdone or a little too old. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by Culver's. I wasn't expecting much, but found the food and service to be very good. I had the traditional Culver's Deluxe, which is two hamburger patties, cheese and toppings like lettuce, tomato, etc. The patties are thin, but with a great charred taste; similar to steak burgers. The sandwich tasted very fresh. I was apprehensive about the fries, because crinkle fries are often delivered soggy or not uniformly cooked. Culver's nails it though, with hot fries that are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and had a great taste. The restaurant is clean and well kept. The service, for what it is of taking your order and bringing your tray of food to the table was brisk but friendly. The prices are south of 5 Guys, but more expensive than your typical fast food joint. You get better quality for your dollar, though. read more

What is there not to like? I had a butter burger, onion rings, and my favorite custard flavor bonfire smores. They only have that flavor about once a month...so you have to plan ahead and make sure you are there on the day that they have it...but if you are there...get it! I was less than impressed with my first ever Culver's experience last week. Several people have told me over the years I needed to try it so I was eager! The cheddar butter burger was less appealing than steak and shakes steak burgers, in my opinion but were large. Krinkle fries were ok - not my fave type of french fry. I had a turtle sundae which was good but I did expect the ice cream to be a bit thicker or more rich/dense since they make concretes here. Tried to order a strawberry cheesecake concrete but unfortunately they did not have cheesecake bites at this time. The line in the drive thru moved smoothly and employee's were nice enough. If Culver's could work out its problem with getting people prepared to get in line and not get backed upped out the door, it would be near to being the perfect fast-food burger place. Good burgers. Good custard. OK service. Enough choices for those who don't want burgers. Too few table choices and arrangements. Gets crowded fast. Loud. Chicken strips are terrible -- greasy and tough. Bathrooms are small for the number of customers. For some reason, kids think that's the play area. Drive thru makes it a practice of making you pull forward and wait, even if you just order shakes. It was my first time at a culver's and I was pretty happy with my visit! I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the mashed potatoes and gravy. Sandwich was pretty good, I knew it would be quite as good as what I really wanted but I was trying to eat healthy.... Mashed potatoes and gravy were very tasty! Best mashed potatoes from a fast food restaurant I've had. Others in my party had the Atlantic cod sandwich, and a cheeseburger. No complaints! For dessert I got a custom frozen custard - vanilla with bananas and peaches. This was so good! The custard was the perfect amount of sweet. Bananas were fresh, peaches were tasty. Culver's has been absolutely packed since they opened a couple of months ago, so my boyfriend and I finally decided that we should stop in and try it ourselves. This is a fast food restaurant where you order at the counter and then they deliver your order to your table. The food is slightly above average for fast food. The burger, while very thin and flimsy, had a char grilled taste and crisp edges. The grilled chicken sandwich came on a soft bun and had a hint of seasoning. However it didn't come with any kind of sauce. I had to hunt down mayo packets near the drink station. Their crinkle fries were crispy on the outside, soft in the inside and very salty. We paid a $1 upcharge to add cheese curds to one of our value meals and they were slightly disappointing. Had they been served hot they probably would have been incredible, but they were only lukewarm when they arrived at the table. Overall though, the food is much better than most other fast food options. On our way out we decided to grab an ice cream to go. We were both fairly disappointed to realize that they only carry three flavors; vanilla, chocolate, and the "flavor of the day". If you want something other than just those three flavors you have to pay 2-3 times the cost of a scoop of ice cream to have them make their version of a blizzard or a sundae. We opted to get the flavor of the day which was a banana, chocolate, peanut butter concoction. The actual ice cream was extremely rich and creamy with a very pleasant mouth feel. I honestly can't compare the velvety mouth feel to any other ice cream in the greater Louisville area. However, the banana base was extremely artificial tasting, like a cheap candy. Hopefully their other daily flavors have higher quality flavorings. Ultimately Culver's is a fun new addition to the Jeffersonville food scene but I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat there. read more

Good comfort food....old fashioned style hamburger...freshly made. cheese curds with marina sauce are good as well and I cannot ever finish them all, burger, fries, chicken salad sandwich, cheese curds and sweet tea all good, never a disappointment. Saw fried chicken on menu and tried it, not happy with it, it was like broaster fried chicken, they rushed the process I think just for us, they should stick with burgers and frozen custard menu. By the way, the frozen custard is OMG Great. My friend bought the kid's burger meal and her burger was the same size as mine although her frozen custard was very small (like a sample), but for the budget minded consumer she saved two dollars. probably my most favorite of all burger chains to date, burgers are always fresh and hot, the cheese curds are highly addictive and staff are attentive to customer needs. they've only messed up one order in all our visits, but after discovering the problem and contacting the location, they quickly replaced the entire order upon arrival. we've tried the reuben sandwich and shrimp basket also, was very pleased. my favorite is the mushroom & swiss, Papa always went for the Dbl cheese butter burger and crinkle cut fries. we would always split another basket to try out something else, always pleased.. hope this trend continues at this location, nothing but great memories in the company of good people, great job guys! read more

I love Culver"s thier food is always great however, we stopped at on in Jeffersonville IN. and I have to say I was not very impressed by the staff. We walked in and one young man was taking orders while 3 others were standing talking. When they finally separated the ome on the register never offered to help anyone he just stood there. We also were amazed whe a young girl came out carrying 4 or 5 cups of icecream and instead of putting them on a tray she had the crradled up against her clothing. But probably the best was as we left the mam at the food window with his body resting on the food counter. Probably won't go back to that one till a manager starts paying attention to the way his staff present them selves which effects the quality of food. read more

We have been to many Culver's between Louisville and Wisconsin but none have had as poor of service as this one did tonight. My boyfriend and I had pretty simple orders that were messed up 4 times and when we nicely asked them to fix their mistakes we were fussed at and had eyes rolled at us. Granted, Culver's is fast food, but they do their particular version well. You will see the usual glitches and carelessness caused by all the high school kids working there. However we go there regularly, try not to expect too much and usually enjoy ourselves. The fish dinner is the high point and everything else is solid. My wife enjoys the ice cream flavor of the day.
