I come here often for the shrimp combo but today I had gotten bad ice cream. It had a random yellow lump in it and I'm so confused as to what it could be. Got to just say this Culver's on Sunset in Waukesha is the best Culver's, staff if polite and try to do a good job. Wish I knew how they teach these young people how to do such a good job. I'm not a fan of Culvers burgers over cooked dry and to the point of being burnt. Hamburger meat shouldn't be crunchy. But I defiantly like many of the other options including plated dinners fish, roast beef Rubin sandwiches fries. The Custards is also good. I will not say the best but I enjoy it. Like most places the prices are on the high side but at least it's always been clean very seldom have I had a miss order and if I did they took care of it. And I'm Alway impressed on the staff. Now that being said. The other Culver's in the area need to take notice as my experience at them has not been very reliable as the Sunset location. Mukgonago location I would give a strong 2nd place too. I find the problem here is very inconsistent on the portions of Custard and inconsistent toppings on Sundaes. Don't go past 8:30pm, being so close to closing time the staff is constantly rushing to get your food out. More than likely your order will be wrong or even handled to the wrong customer as they fail to give you an order number, again rushing. Manager is trained to tell customers that the owner "doesn't take calls from customers" and "probably won't call you back" when you give them contact info. What type of "businessman" isn't trying to improve their business/income. Half the boys that work there look like they just rolled out of bed with their hair everywhere. Just imagine the cooks. After asking for more lettuce on my double butterburger, I was given an even fresher piece of (fast food) protein, with a walloping amount of precut, shredded greens, straight from a newly-sliced-open bag from the walk-in fridge. A kind younger female attendant handled the deliciousness with care through that all-encompassing provisionary window as she expressed thanks for my patience, and with a silent wink of Mr. Culver's third eye, the buttery burger, and all of its lettuce, became my first course of the evening. We only frequent this location since it is close to home. We normally LOVE Culver's, but this location has no standards and that is evident by the sloppy exterior containers they serve custard in and the burgers ALWAYS being burnt. Let's start with the simplicity of a custard only order. Shakes aren't mixed. I can see all the mint at the top and when I point it out to the kid at the window he says "Oh you just can't see it because we don't squirt it on the sides of the cup because it will all sink to the bottom". Uhhh... it isn't mixed at all! Then EVERY time there is custard on the exterior part of the container. This gives us the joy of being melted on in the car all without napkins because they never hand out napkins unless you have food. Spots on clothing and custard stained seat belts certainly make for a happy customer (insert sarcasm). Let's not forget about the overcooked / burnt burger patties that are swimming in grease. Sometimes it's only a little crispy on the edges and other times you get blackened edges. Management was made aware of our consistent unpleasant experiences and while apologetic, it apparently fell on deaf ears since these same issues are still occurring. This location is absolutely the worst one we have been to. Consistently the worst. Looks as though the Main Street location gets our business from now on when we have a Culver's hankering. Going out of my way is better than being annoyed and disappointed again. Get it together Sunset! read more

Awesome Experience!!! I went in about a week ago and I ordered a butter burger and for some reason it tasted better than all the culvers burgers I've had. I don't know if this culvers makes them a little bit differently (I'm from out of town and visiting family) but I can tell you if I didn't go right before they closed I would've ordered another one. The lady and the drive thru was super nice but did mess up my order a little bit but the man at the window was super friendly and helped me fix it right away I don't think it really mattered. I couldn't catch the girls name and the man wasn't wearing a name tag or else they would've been listed here. Overall 9/10 experience. When I'm in town again I'll make sure to stop by here again! read more

Tonight around 8:40pm my boyfriend and i came to grab some custard. we were put into a parking spot while waiting for them to complete our order. It took nearly 15 minutes for a float and a concrete mixer to be brought out. when it was brought out and handed to us the float that was over flowing and over flowed into my lap and in my purse. And we would have to pay a charge. My boys must have said cones 10 times each. And these young girls had a good time talking about us. We could hear it in the dining room. This chain is one of the biggest things I miss about living in the Midwest. The custard is superb (I like getting custard shakes - vanilla custard with banana and either strawberries or raspberries) and their butterburgers are out of this world. Every time I stop here whoever is at the window is super friendly and when they bring my food out, always friendly...no matter what the weather is like. The food is good, I did have one fish sandwich that was very sloppy and soggy, but everything else I have had here has been good. My favorite sandwich is the Pot Roast. Every Culver's I have been to has been a very positive experience, but this particular one on West Sunset Drive in Waukesha has always been exceptional. The food is a step above other fast food, but that can be said of all Culver's restaurants. What sets this one at a higher standard is the exceptional staff. They know how to treat customers. Customers are made to feel welcome from the moment they enter. The restaurant is always clean and service is always friendly and efficient. The staff pays attention to things like making sure the tables are kept clean. I've never had to search for a clean table there. They also make the rounds of the dining room to make sure every customer is completely satisfied with the food and the service. The general manager at this Culver's restaurant is one of the nicest most professional workers I have ever encountered! He waited on us and gave us great customer service and was also extremely kind and friendly. On top of all of this he came to us at the end of our meal and cleaned up our trash for us without us asking him to, even though Culver's doesn't normally use waiters or waitresses to do a job like this.
