A regular-sized fry and a cup of Cheez Whiz is my new go-to order. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach and something about this combo is just right for me. It's the perfect snack/small meal for when I'm on the go and I just need a little something to hold me over. The fry to cheese ratio is perfect and it hits the spot every time. I'm still partial to the flavor of the day as well. Service isn't fast, because things are made to order, but the fries are always fresh, and they usually deliver your ice cream at the window. This is the worst Culver's I've ever visited. The young man taking my order was confused when I requested no onions and tomato on my Butterburger cheese (seems a pretty standard request); the food took 15-20 minutes to reach us, by far the slowest I've experienced at this chain; and the ice cream never even came out. In fact, I had to go to the counter to request the ice cream, which the worker said was not entered correctly in the system. I have no idea what this means. The only positive was the food. It was hot and tasted good. But, again, the service was a train wreck, so I can't assign more than two stars. read more

Went here once with my niece. Food was fast, but my cheese on my burger wasn't melted. I was upset about that. The inside of the restaurant was clean, so we sat inside. This is the Culver's location closest to my home, but it isn't my favorite. It takes longer to get food here, and it doesn't seem to be as good as other locations. For example, today I waited over 15 minutes for a carry out meal I ordered at the counter. I had ordered a cod sandwich basket, and the sandwich was very good. The cheese curds, though, were small-ish and hard, more breading than cheese. The restaurant was very clean inside. read more

Other cars around me were literally leaving without their food because they were so frustrated. People were getting out of their cars and talking to each other about how long the wait was. The food and service at this Culvers on Gray Road and 146th has been very good until today 7/30/23 I ordered carry out food (butter burger, veggie garden burger, fries , cheese curds and diet cokes. And in addition as is our habit, 2 single vanilla custard cups with strawberries on top). The hot foods were great just like normal. But the custard cup portions were much too small. I questioned the boy when he brought the food to my car His reply was that management had told them that they were over dipping and asked them to cut back. I was quite surprised. I told him we have been ordering these same items from this location and other locations in the Indy and Midwest and never had such a small portion. He said sorry. But that management had told them to do it. I called the store on my way home and asked for a manager. A young man got on the phone. I asked him about the situation. And he repeated what the boy had said. I then asked if the lead manager was there. He said yes. And so I asked for the head manager The head manager came on the phone. And repeated what the other 2 had said. I questioned it. Because we hadn't experienced this at other locations. She said it was that they were over dipping and needed to adjust back. I asked "adjust to what". And said the prior portions were consistent around this entire area until today at this store. She pushed back. I was starting to feel my blood pressure I then asked if I could text her the photo of my cups. She said yes. So I sent her the attached photo (see below). She admitted that this was a smaller than expected portion. She offered to give us 2 free cups on our next visit, which I appreciated. However, I think the kids working there were doing exactly what they were told to do by management. I don't know if this is being dictated by the owners or the managers. But I let her know we can't come back unless this is corrected I hope it improves. The ketchup packages had changed too, to smaller / cheaper packages I'd like the owners to know that making portions smaller and cheaper is not a winning idea. Sue, the manager, may run a tight ship; but she is so rude about everything she does. First, she yells at every employee. I cannot believe they take it. My family love's Culver's, but this location has quality control issues. 4 of 6 times I've brought supper home for the family and the order was short. It's so disappointing for someone not to get what they asked for. I feel silly for letting this happen, but I thought it was just startup issues. We will not go through the drive through anymore, because if you go in you can kind of see them pack your order. The food is great, but their website says it's proudly owned by 3 local people, they need to go to their restaurant and straighten it out. read more

We all know what to expect here. It's no secret that the butter burger and cheese curds are the bomb. A nice desert to cool you off is always a plus too right now. Both W-field locations are nearly the same distance, but tonight will be the last time visiting. After placing a sticky note number on my side mirror without asking and nearly 10-minute wait for two, one scoop custard dishes, the Tournament Trail location will be our go-to Culver's. Every other location uses a recyclable blue number tent, but this one uses a paper sticky note that leaves residue on your rear view mirror. I'd prefer a dry erase marker to this! read more

This place is literally 'rocking'. Went for the 1st time one warm night last week. So close to home. Didn't have to 'pull ahead' & wait! Long lines in drivethru. We ordered sandwiches & custard.
