Warm inviting and laid back the staff here is very very nice. I found a nice table by the window and connected to the strong wifi with a great big orange cup of coffee. You can't help but notice this place getting off the freeway on Monterey Blvd: there's a giant CUP coming out of the wall! I love fun art. (And yes this was designed by the same artist as the famous legs on Haight.) It's nice to have somewhere good to grab coffee and a little pick-me-up when my work shuttle drops off at the Glen Park BART station. The regular coffee (Mr. Espresso, not Blue Bottle) is really good and at $2 for a medium is a-ok with me. i havent been here in awhile but when i was there i wanted a white chocolate mocha. The guy said they didnt have white chocolate but they make something called a havana. to make my story short. i had an iced havana, which was ammazing! its sweet which i love and it had the coffee flavor which i also love! First you must acknowledge the couple that owns this restaurant. They are warm, welcoming and make you feel right at home. I ordered there house coffee which is amazing! I also ordered an egg and ham bagel which had freshly sliced deli meat which was refreshing. They take their time and their presentation is beautiful. The vibe of the place is amazing too. The best of Glen Park! Not gonna lie; I get really tired of the SF obsession with local places. Not that I mind in particular, just miss the consistency of socal chains which I find on average leagues better than most local places in SF. But Cup Cafe in particular is fantastic. The roast beef, and it pains me to say this since it already runs out too fast already, is easily the best sandwich! The bread and roast beef are great and hits the spot. You certainly get what you pay for here. The turkey sandwiches, avocado toast and Sunset sandwiches are also great. For coffee I go for the Havana every time, it is delicious. Finally the owner is extremely polite and courteous. Love this place! read more

There's nothing spectacular about this place but it's very convenient and along your route to the Bart station. They have quick service and a reliable list of coffee options. I've only had their iced coffee a couple times but it seems like they have a stead flow of customers. I haven't spent much time in the shop but it looks like there's lots of regulars and if you need to spend some time catching up on an email or do some homework, they have some tables ready for your use. I see the potential for this place to become a regular go-to but honestly, it "lacks" in my world and I actually can't even place what it is. For now it stays on my A-OK list but hopefully the place will grow on me since I'm always supportive of the local neighborhood hang-outs. Love the bagels, they're excellent. Fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside without being too doughy. The drip coffee is also excellent. Didn't love the mocha I got, the body was kind of thin and didn't taste much like chocolate or coffee. One of the most delightful and friendly neighborhood coffee shops I have encountered in SF! I usually drip my own black @ home & add just a tiny amount of soy milk. So I do not regularly buy coffee from shops. Had the latte...pretty good...medium strong taste...for $3.50. The shop just opened so it is clean with an mod Italian decor. In Glen Park, Bello's is also very good...Higher Grounds & Pebbles while good, are really more eating places than coffee houses. Smaller cafe but that's probably better because-less distractions. Customer service is on point, sweet sweet man who makes his espresso strong and with love.
