Love this place! There's about 5 other coffee shops in the area but the Cup is in a perfect location for those in the neighborhood. Close to Bart. The couple who runs the coffee shop are really sweet. I no longer live in the Glen park area but I really do miss it. I always ordered an iced coffee and they would allow me to pour my own soy milk. They close in the afternoon so about an hour before they close they sell the pastries for a $1 or sometimes just give them away. Can't wait to find myself in the area again. The coffee is pretty good and the service is great. I know you can get a premium cup of coffee anywhere else in SF but the service is what I remember the most. read more

Cute place. Seems to be family owned, which I like. I went back and forth on 3 or 4 stars. I'm giving it 4 stars because they make a decent latte, which is hard to find in the world of Starbucks. I could actually taste the coffee, and it was not quite as strong as Peet's. The service was also very good. They were playing classic Motown and other 60's music, which was a plus for me. So why did I consider 3 stars. The interior design was interesting. I guess I'm indifferent about the bright orange and gray walls. The pastry and snack selections were also not great. It looks like much of it came from Costco. I would return for the coffee. I think this is a good alternative for Peet's people like myself who appreciate what Starbucks fans call "bitter", read more

We miss it already! During our stay in SF we discovered this adorable little café that to us is worth crossing the city for! The owners put in their smiling soul into everything they make. Everything is made fresh and with love and you feel happy as soon as you enter and no matter what mood you are in when you arrive, you will always leave with a smile. We stayed in the area for a week and came by every day. Sam and his wife treated us like family and it felt so sad to leave. We wish we could bring him and the café with us :-) Our 2 year old daughter was spoiled with meals and treats everytime we came. If you miss this café you missed something special. Extra info: Open till 2pm! Great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Lots choices for everyone, and since everything is made fresh it can be adapted. Nothing is complicated for them. They can make anything from fancy cereal breakfast, bagels & sandwiches with several toppings, fresh juices, rice & chicken, avocado toast, sweet or salty treats and the way you like it. Almost Italian Quality Coffee that weaks you up like Crazy! I was new to the area, really sleepy and wondering on Monterey Blvd for some good quality coffee. Did not know about any of the reviews. The invitation to come in was more than obvious. So, I discovered a family driven coffee Bistro, with very good Espressos, yummy sandwiches and a cozy, happy atmosphere. The owners are very sweet and professional. I like that you can choose some delicious sandwiches and see how they are done. WI-FI works great and the Radio Stream was awesome, I even Shazamed some songs. All in all, I totally recommend this place! It does not matter if you are in the area or not, if you want an excellent coffee, accompanied by a delicious sandwich plus a creative, happy atmosphere...just go there and try it! Ahhh! This is the sweetest mom and pop shop ever!! The coffee is good and so is the food. I usually get the ice coffee and have recently tried the chicken with artichoke sandwich. Not only was it really tasty but what made it better was it being made by the most pleasant man (the owner) who is always smiling. Him and his wife are #goals, they're so kind. My roommate and I always bring her dog and leave him tied near the door while we go in. Cup is a wonderful addition to Glen Park. It's clean, much more modern than the other two coffe shops in GP, the owner (I think he's the owner) is quite enjoyable to chat with, they play reggae music quietly in the background, and the iced tea (all I've had) is good. It's very close to the 23/36 bus stop, so if you have time to kill, it's a great place to sit. It's the kind of place that won't kick you out until closing time. I will update my review after trying the espresso, but even without knowing how good the coffee is, I can say that this is a great place to just be. read more

Whenever my friends and I find ourselves getting off at the Glen Park BART Station, we always come here. The owners are absolutely adorable and treat their customers so great. The first time my friends and I came here, one of the owners saw us group of teenagers sitting there and went into the back and grabbed us free bags of pretzels. It was so sweet!
