Skip this business if you want lenses that will last more than a month, or a correct prescription. My new lenses from here had big spider cracks on them within a week of picking them up. I took them back & the owner seems a bit put out but sent them back to be replaced. I picked up the replacement lenses and they gave me a huge migraine for two weeks straight. I took the glasses back in to see what could be done. I had to go back to wearing glasses from 2020 & instantly my migraine went away. Dave compared the prescription on my old glasses to the script I received at his store & stated there was a large different in the Rx. He stated nothing he could do about the glasses giving me a huge migraine and that the lenses were already "warrantied out" from the lenses having huge spider cracks in them. The cracks were not my fault and the lenses also had gigantic scratch marks on them. I'm not even sure how they possibly got so scratched since I'm very careful with glasses and use a clean cleaning cloth to wash and dry the lenses with every time. I keep the glasses in a container when not in use. When I took the spider cracked glasses back they were so scratched up I could barely see through them. Again, Dave acted like this was no big deal the lenses were scratched up like crazy. The quality of the lenses is absolute garbage here and I paid for lenses I cannot wear. Part of the price was ran through my insurance company so I cannot go get glasses somewhere else and have my insurance help pay for them. What a huge waste of money and the customer service blows here with Dave putting the blame of his faulty products back on the customer. 0 stars rating if I could. read more

I wish zero stars was an option. All I needed was a box of contacts to last me one month. Originally I had an appointment scheduled for May 30. Unfortunately I had to cancel due to work. I have crazy hours until school starts back up again. I went in this Monday and asked if there was a cancellation that I could squeeze into someday this week, turns out I can!! Boom. We schedule my appointment for Thursday @ 2 pm.. And I bought some trial contacts to last me until Thursday. So Wednesday I call and i see if there is something sooner than 2 pm on Thursday because I'm afraid I wouldn't make it to work in time if they're running late. David hands the phone to the girl and she says, "I was going to call you in a moment, but looks like your insurance doesn't renew until saturday of this week so you will have to pay out of pocket or schedule something different." I'm on an extremely crazy schedule until school starts so I won't be able to make an appointment until sometime next month. This lady has the phone to the eye doctor himself, and he's trying to argue with me about why I'm so busy and he'll come in on a day they're not open just to make me happy because I'm soooo busy . I felt like I was being gas lighted at this point. Me (a returning customer) I say, "you know. How about I buy a box of contacts to last me until next month so I have a bit of wiggle room. And will book my appointment next month when I have sometime to breathe" (my prescription is not yet expired. It will expire on Saturday) they denied me. They told me they cannot sell me contacts because my prescription expires in 3 days. So I guess my glasses won't work after my prescription expires too, right? So I went to location, had them print out my prescription that is not expired. And took it elsewhere to buy contacts. Not helpful at all. I will not be returning! read more

Dr. Stubbs is the best eye doctor I've ever seen. He was enthusiastic about helping my astigmatism, which a lot of optometrists have struggled to treat in the past. He fitted me for contacts and I was reading at 20/20 vision. This is the best contact prescription I've ever had! The staff here clearly love their jobs. David, who works at the front desk, is simply wonderful. I called today to get my prescription e-mailed over and he and Lex were so friendly and happy to help. After my exam, David didn't pressure me to order my contacts from the store, but did offer me a good discount if I wanted to. Not only were my frames adjusted, but they added new nose pads which solved my issue completely! Another top notch experience at Custom Eyes with David and his staff! This time I was purchasing contact lenses for my nephew and getting my glasses adjusted. The staff is truly wonderful, and they always eager to help make sure your optical needs are met. They are adhering to COVID standards - every employee is wearing a mask, all customers are also required to wear a mask, and hand sanitizer is available for all as they step through the door. Trays are handed to each customer to use while shopping for glasses with the verbal instructions to place any frame they are interested in in the tray; the frames that are not purchased are removed from the trays, and the trays and frames are sanitized by the staff; the frames are then placed back on the displays. Social distancing is also being maintained. Many insurances are accepted, great prices, wonderful staff, and always the best experiences. I have said it before, and I will say it again, regardless of what part of town you live in, or even if you live just outside of town, it is worth the time it takes to drive to Custom Eyes. I came in today for and eye exam, glasses, and contacts. From the moment I walked in the entire staff was warm and welcoming. Doctor Stubbs was great! We talked baseball during the exam and he showed me a picture of the inside of my eyeball. Afterwards the friendly staff helped my pick out lenses. This place is unethical. They were out of network for my insurance. I wasn't aware. They opened an out of network claim which cost me lots of money for features that would have been free. They did not tell me they were opening an out of network claim fraudulently. My insurance was the one who notified me after I already paid for the glasses. The location is conveniently next to my apartment complex, but I would travel a decent amount of time to come and have them manage my contact lense and glasses examinations. Why you may ask? CUSTOMER SERVICE. This office knows the importance of customer service compared to other big name companies AND their prices are VERY reasonable for glasses. I loved my doctor. She was very informative, straight to the point and thorough. Then I went outside to pick out my glasses. The gentleman did not breathe down my neck, try to upsell me, was very informative and gave his opinion if I asked for it and was honest. I picked out my glasses in 5 minutes, ordered the glasses in 10 minutes and was out of there after the appointment within 45 minutes. YES PLEASE! Plus, I walked out spending $300 less on equal-quality glasses and lenses compared to the damage and utter bank account destruction I received after walking out of Lenscrafters. Nobody will complain about that, plus, the service absolutely justified the prices in every way. I will come here until the day we leave this wonderful desert. I LOVE offices that focus on customer satisfaction because they know that we Yelp and refer our friends.
