I went here based on the Yelp reviews and they were all correct! Dr. Tran was beyond knowledgable. I have an astigmatism in both eyes and macular degeneration in one eye. She knew right off the top of her head all the options in contact lens brands available to me, the materials they are made of and the price points of each. He was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. He walked me through and helped with fitting my contacts since it was my first time. His staff was nice and professional also. This place was great from the moment my wife and eye walked in. Friendly staff, great prices, Dr. Tran did my wife's eye exam to fibd out why she wad having vision problems, and we found out she was near-sighted. Got prescription lenses, as well as a great pair of glasses for a great price. Glen helped us out with everything, answered questions, and made us feel super comfortable. FIRST experience. Called and placed on hold for 15 minutes 27 seconds. Then the call goes dead.

I purchased contacts last Wednesday 10/18 and was told they should arrive by Tuesday 10/24. When they didn't, I called in on 10/25 and was told that they STILL were not in and that they should arrive 10/26. This is already an inconvenience as I had appointments scheduled back to back on this day. But I figured I'd try and squeeze in a trip to Henderson to pick up my contacts. When I had asked for the arrival date of the contacts it was because I am flying out of state on the 26th (by 8pm) and wanted to make sure I had my contacts for my wedding. I was not contacted on the 26th so I once again had to call in around 2:15pm to ask for an update as I was running errands and live on the other side of town. I was told the shipments should have arrived by that time. I did not get an update that my contacts were in until 4:07pm. I am very disappointed and frustrated that I will not have contacts to wear for my wedding day. I had called in to see if anyone could stick around for 5 minutes so that I could drive from north Las Vegas to pick these contacts up. I was told yes but to make sure I am there by 6:35 because "the manager has somewhere to be." I feel that statement was unnecessary as it is obvious-- everyone has somewhere to be-- and it isn't my ideal situation to be rushing there across town in rush hour traffic for contacts that should have arrived 2 days ago. This whole ordeal has been an inconvenience for me. Poor follow up on your company all together. I really wish this could be remedied and that the gentleman answering the phone Saul (?) relayed my frustration regarding this situation to the manager Dave (it sounded like he could care less when I spoke to him on the phone). I have been coming to CustomEyes for the past 3 years and refer my friends and loved ones here. Very upset that you guys dropped the ball when it mattered the most for me. read more

I saved this review basically because it's a 2 parter, first going to get the exam and then getting my glasses. So I'll start with the exam, my previous doctor is not there anymore but the new doctor is exceptional, he is very personable and genuinely nice, he also did an excellent job getting my prescription spot on! I then went to get my glasses done up front and they were amazing as well, very nice and personable, not pushy or anything like that. I got my glasses in about 7 days(they said would take 10) because of the type of glasses that I was getting done but it was well worth the wait, the glasses were perfect, the prescription was spot on! These people are fantastic. Dave has set up a culture of great customer service. This is as most retailers used to be and very few are now. Professional, courteous, SMILING. For my most recent visit I needed a nylon strap repaired for one of my lenses. At my request they replaced all four on two pairs, my fear being a strap may break without warning. They did this without charge though I had offered to pay. Unfortunately I'm moving away soon and have little hope my new eyeglass provider will be as good! read more

The doctor is absolutely great, but I have great reasons NOT to trust their customer service at the front store, the information they provide on their website is deceiving and I know their products are overpriced (you can find products for 1/3 of the price online) and their employeed will still deceive u in order to make you go to their store to pay more. I will pay for my frames online and pay another business to do my lenses only because of their dishonesty marketing their products and also because of the inconsiderate employee I talked to twice who deceived me over the phone making me go to the store and didnt do a price match for my frames. I've been a returning customer for over 5 years, getting 2 new pairs of glasses each year. I've never had a problem with them before until today. One pair of my glasses started to crack in the frame just after two weeks of purchasing them. I took them back, they swapped them out no problem. However these new frames started cracking in the same place. I realized now that it was due to the poor quality of the frames. I took them back to the store, and because it was passed the 60 day warranty, the owner was gonna charge me to replace them. This is how the owner treats his good customers. After having raised my voice at the awful customer service portrayed by the owner, (the rest of the staff was great and very helpful) he ended up switching the frames at no charge. Eyeglass companies are such a saturated market, it surprises me how terrible these independent owners are at customer service. read more

I came here as a new patient last week and absolutely love Custom Eyes and Dr. Tran! I went to a doctor before who was not able to correct my prescription in my right eye but Dr. Tran was able to with no problem. She also was able to get me to wear a normal prescription and not the toric contact lense that the stigmatism in my eye calls for as it is such a minor stigmatism. This saved me money on the exam and my contacts will be cheaper. What GREAT NEWS! Everyone in the office was very friendly. The only negative was that their phone lines were down and so their credit/debit cards weren't going through and I didn't have cash on me so I had to go drive to an ATM and get cash and then bring it back to pay them. They didn't offer to bill me but that's ok, issues like that happen and I'm sure it won't happen again. If you're looking for a new Eye Doctor who is genuine and is truly looking out for the patient come here! You won't be disappointed. read more

In the past, I have had a difficult time finding an optometrist that can effectively prescribe the right contacts for my astigmatism. It seemed like the prescription was always off and I had so much difficulty seeing that my only option was to wear my glasses. Dr. Tran nailed my prescription on the first try! I was so excited. They immediately gave me a trial pair and it was such a relief to me to finally be able to see again. It means more to me than I can explain. Thank you so much. Also, I was seen for my appointment very promptly with no waiting. The front desk staff in both the front desk and the desk near the back of the office are so friendly and accommodating. They always communicate with me and follow up with me whenever I have a question. I was also very enthused to find out that they have some sort of digital dilation that has no down time, instead of using the uncomfortable liquid that leaves your eyes dilated for hours. I was very impressed with the modern technology they have available. Overall, I will definitely continue to go to this practice and will refer my family and friends to them! read more

I love the glasses that I got from this place although they took forever to come in. I originally got an eye exam and ordered my glasses on 12/26/16. They wee oversized so I had to have them sent off to be coated and cut. The glasses did not arrive until a month later at which point I tried to get a retest with Dr. Tran. She was really pushing me to wear the glasses for a couple days, but I didn't like her answer so I talked to the people up front and they saw that the people who made my lenses made them even stronger than my already too strong prescription. We had to send the glasses off again. In the meantime​, they did accommodate me with a complimentary pair of glasses. Wonderful customer service! David finally got me a retest with Dr. Tran and we got my lenses fixed pretty quickly​ after getting the right prescription, but messing around with Dr. Tran almost had me sending my glasses off for a third time because she was trying hard not to retest. I got my glasses mid March of 2017 by no fault of David or the front crew. All in all *Great service with David and his crew up front. *Dr. Tran is super nice and great at her job, but I was disappointed in the fact that she didn't want to retest. It was such an unnecessary hassle. *The selection of frames is huge. *They have great frames for every, and I mean every, price range. read more

Dr. Tran is very attentive and knowledgeable and cares that you get the eye care needed for you...no cookie cutter here. Today was my second time at Custom Eyes. As Arnold says "I'll be back"...again. On both visits price and service were top notch. After my original visit I had to return to swap out a lens on my glasses. She simply adjusted my script to better match my left eye which as slight astigmatism. On this current visit, Dr. Tran was honest informing me that I was able to be fitted with a "normal" contact lens vs. Toric (much more expensive). She saved me the time of waiting another year (I was well short of funds for Toric lenses) to get contacts with that timely advice. Thanks Dr. Tran! The front staff folks were pleasant too. They have name brand as well as reasonably priced frames/lens for your budget needs. Consistently fair priced with great value. read more

This Dr was amazing ! She really took a lot of time with me & my son . My son is 11 and has Autism , she was great with him & didn't make him do any unnecessary testing. She got our prescriptions right on . The Custom Eyes part was great also , everybody was super nice & professional. The prices were excellent compared to other places I've been to. I came in for a contact lens fitting. I came out a happy patient. I had expected to walk in and be greeted with, "Hi. Sign in. Sit down. Wait. The doctor will be with you." In and out. No personality. Nope! I must admit I was taken by surprise when I was greeted with a warm smile and an associate led me to the back to sign in and fill out some paperwork. After some chit-chat with the associate, Dr. Tran appeared shortly after and took me in for my eye exam. What set Dr. Tran apart from optometrists I had seen before was her personality and her genuine willingness to explain and educate me through every step of my eye exam. This definitely put me in a comfortable position and gave me confidence to be in her care. Dr. Tran was very personable and offered me advice when it came to purchasing contact lenses and brands she would personally recommend. I had a positive experience here. Service is fast. Staff is nice, patient and friendly. Doctor is knowledgeable and explained things and give advices. She isnt in a hurry just like any other doctors. They have frames for cheaper price and they look nice and durable. Just be careful in choosing frames coz people drop it and it and may damage it. I just wish they have more designer frames. Never been to an eye place as good as this. Frames are less expensive than other place I've been to and they are stylish. They have safety glasses that decent and professional (safety glasses are rarely in fashion...). The eye doctor is extremely knowledgeable and understanding, and they have quick turn around in terms of getting glasses and/or contacts. I wish they were everywhere. read more
