Proceeded to try and book online on a Sunday and got as far as choosing a date/time (9/14 8am was the next available) but upon confirming system said it was unable to book. Tried to change to later dates and times and same results. Horrible horrible. You know I try to stay off from putting any negative comments but today is not one of them. Service center experience is the worst in 3 yrs of having my car. 1st time broke my mirror after an oil change, 2nd didn't reset my oil gauge, 3rd forgot to secure my hood and now this. 7/27, recall for the tow link, supposedly that was fixed which unfolded a deflected bolt that cause my car to sway/pull and make a sound like I was trying to burn out while driving with the smell of burnt rubber. Was able to get it down there for it to be checked out, they took got me in a rental and waited over 10 minute out front for the rental. Terrible, tried calling parts dept. Multiple Times a day, trying to see if they have certain fluids in stock. No answers no call backs AFTER leaving messages. - Why didn't I just go to the location if I wasn't helped. Well it's hard to even make time to go down and see the dealer when you're consistently having night and day shifts throughout the week. Went to cutter ford regarding an ad posted online for a preowned vehicle. After some negotiation, i was gonna buy the car and started signing paperwork. I asked some questions and the salesperson was misleading and unclear on some of the individual charges I "had" to pay for. One was the VTR, which stands for vehicle theft registration. Asked them multiple times what it was and was told all the vehicles are window etched with the VIN when they are put on the lot and it was required that I pay it. After reading the closing documents there is a form, but it is not titled VTR and seems unrelated, but this is what the VTR charge is for... a third party company which provides the theft insurance and the etching is done later. It clearly says that you dont have to buy it! On top of that, the sales person was trying to get me to bring the car in on the weekend to do complimentary service on it. Being skeptical, i checked the vehicles window and they were not etched! He lied and wanted to do sneak the etching in when I bring the vehicle in. I told him I don't want it because it wasn't done, like they said, and i'm not paying for it. Apparently it is an added product they are trying to sell but they told me it was already etched and was a required charge. These guys are sneaky and you need to read all the paperwork, don't pay for hidden fees! read more

Having recently purchased my second vehicle from Cutter Ford Mitsubishi, it is evident from my second extremely bad personal experience with poor customer service with each department (i.e. specifically Sales and Customer Service Manager) that overall, Cutter Ford Mitsubishi suffers extremely from certain severely uncaring employees and recurring poor customer service, questionable tactics, and loss of repeat business from new customers. The benefit of customer service ratings like Yelp include and is not limited to ensuring the business establishment and associated personnel can be held accountable for both good and bad customer service experiences. In 2017, after closing the purchase of my then new car, I was advised by my sales representative Gawnie, that if I could not rate him at least five stars, then I should not rate his performance at all. My sales experience was poor and I was unhappy. However, one of the Assistant Managers (Rumel Mejia) tactfully and professionally addressed my concerns with expedience and bottom-line up front excellent customer service. He even called me to provide status u po dates and notified me when my car was back from the body shop. I cannot say the same for Gawnie. In 2019, I decided to trade-in my 2017 vehicle. The sales representatives whom were tasked to help me included Dakota, Aukai, and Lance. I will provide details of my extremely poor customer service experience with each of them later. I would think twice before interacting with specific sales representatives and the customer service manager. I will elaborate further soon. Make sure you conduct a very thorough pre-inspection of the car interior and exterior areas for issues. Never drive the car off the dealership lot without the customer service manager reviewing issues addressed with the sales agent. Make sure you review quarterly APR, dealer fees, destination fees, options, discounts, etc., including costs affecting the MSRP. Compare prices with other dealerships locally and nationally. However, the departments and personnel who do excel in excellent customer service include Finance (Ernie Salazar), Service (Noel Bylaardt, Veronica Barwar, and Kellie Sue Walroth), Cashier (Vinnie), and Online Sales (T). At a later date I will explain why these personnel each deserve a Five Star Rating for customer service and professionalism. These individuals so far are the only reason I had decided to make a second purchase. Regretfully, most of the department management will repeatedly neglect returning your requests for a follow-up. While the Cutter Family Auto Group continues to dominate on Oahu, the challenge for the kind Cutter Ford Mitsubishi Vice President is with her employees and majority of her management personnel. I keep running into numerous other unhappy customers on the island. For example, today, one of my employees shared with me his family's bad experience with a Ford Explorer they had purchased from Cutter Ford Mitsubishi. He vowed to never pruchase another vehicle from Cutter. He shared his story after noticing I had not been driving my new car for almost over a month now. On June 12, 2019 my 2019 vehicle was not found in the customer pickup area. Instead, I found my car parked in the customer parking lot. There was dried sticky residue caked on the driver-side front side panels above the wheel well. It was noticeable tire dressing and thick. There were paint scuffs on the driver-side and passenger-side roof edging located directly above the front side windows. While showing Brandy Bailey, Customer Relations Manager the car she also noticed the paint scuffs and did this: Brandy inserted her right index finger into her mouth, wet her finger with saliva, then rubbed the saliva on her finger against the paint scuff to somewhat erase the scuff. This is the third time I witnessed Brandy did this to my car. I do not appreciate anyones acidic saliva being rubbed on my cars clear coat and painted surface. It's disgusting for one. Additionally, saliva is contaminated with all sorts of bodily chemicals. This is reason bird manure droppings immediately damage car paint. Additionally, as a military service member and veteran, I feel so violated and disrespected by the extremely poor customer service and constant petty excuses by the employees. Took my F-150 in for an issue with the engine, initially they said they would have to replace components but that they don't have the parts. So instead they would do a flush and restart the system. After paying $100 deductible, the same issue started happening a couple days later. They said to take it to another Ford because they don't have the parts and it would take too long for them to get it in. When I took it there, the other Ford dealer laughed at the work they did. They said they did t do what they were supposed to and I would have to pay another $100 deductible. Spoke with Gabriel at Cutter service several times and got the run around, end result is me paying twice for something they should have fixed to begin with. I purchased our car from this dealership in 2014. At the time we bought it, the car was brand spanking new & only had 23 miles on it. Just recently our car has been giving us problems. It had trouble starting only after putting gas. Then just last week it died out on us. Luckily, we were just pulling into a shopping center and we weren't driving on the freeway when it died out. The thing that I'm most upset about is that when I called last week to schedule an appointment to get it serviced, the lady told me that their first availability wasn't until April 27th. So I tried calling around other places for price quotes but seeing as how I purchased the extended warranty through Ford, it didn't make sense for me to go through anyone else. So I called back & spoke to the same lady in the service department & she told me the same thing "first availability isn't until April 27th." Then I asked if there was any way that they can schedule my car in any sooner because I'm pregnant & could be expecting any time soon. That's when she told me "unfortunately, April 27th is our first availability. In fact it looks like that day is all booked & we won't be able to schedule anyone in until May 1st." Like, really?? I don't expect them to drop everything & push my car to the front of the line just because I'm expecting soon. In fact, I don't expect her or anyone else for that matter to have sympathy for me either. All I wanted was for her to understand my situation & realize that I couldn't wait 2 weeks just for them to do the diagnostics & then wait even longer for it to get fixed. But instead of giving me other options like possibly contacting another Ford dealership (which btw I had to figure out on my own), she basically told me that I now have to wait 3 weeks just to be seen. Words can't even express how dissapointed I am with this place and their customer service. We paid a lot of money for our car & paid an extra $1,700 on extended warranty just for it to break down on us in less than 5 years & for them to basically slap us in our face & tell us "we can't help you." I am honestly lost for words. But I do know one thing...I will NEVER do business with these guys again or any "Cutter" dealership for that matter. read more

Wasn't expecting to go home last night with a brand new car but, with all the supportive help and having a great salesman, Richie Pascua for being so professional from the moment we met him in the parking lot. only a few min in the parking lot, Richie approached my Husband and started asking him questions about what we were looking for etc. he was so patient, he wasn't forcing us to look at anything but, kept telling us "You know, it's what YOU want! Whatever you want and feel is best!" We love how comfortable he made us feel, how welcomed his demeanor was as well. He listened to all of our concerns with our previous car experiences etc and how we wanted to find something that's perfect for our little family. Yesterday was also raining but, we wanted to look around and we kept going back and forth, back and forth with the cars and we noticed how well Richie was handling our issues with wanting this and that car with no umbrella LOL he was so patient and did everything we wanted even though all the cars we went back and forth with, ended up not being the ones we wanted. When we finally chose the car, Richie was so helpful with the whole paper work processing as well. We felt so happy with what we chose because, it was something we wanted for so long and Richie just made the process so smooth, so easy for us and we cannot thank him enough! Not only that but, the staff was so nice too! we had to bring our kids and our kids were just going crazy all day there but, they didn't make us feel bad and as parents, that's what we need so, not only professional but very family oriented type of people! The manager was so nice too! I bought a ford escape from Cutter 3 years ago, with a service contract. Recently both back tail lights were not working properly. My service rep, Dino, said that he would order both tail light assemblies, and they would put them in and I would only have to pay the $100 deductable. So I brought my car in and paid the $100. When I got home, I saw that the left tail light was still not working properly. I checked my invoice and saw that they had only replaced the right tail light. Early the next day, I got an email from Dino asking me to give him a 5-star review. I texted back to say I couldn't give him a 5-star review because the problem wasn't fixed, and they hadn't done what he had promised me. I didn't get a reply back, so I emailed Dino twice to ask when they could fix the problem. He never replied, so I called and left a message on his recorder. No reply. I guess once he doesn't get his 5 stars he's not interested in helping. So I scheduled a service on my own. Now I am told by Noell that the left tail light can't be covered by my service contract because rain caused the damage. I asked her if that is normal for a 3 year old Ford to have the tail light go out because of rain. Couldn't answer. So I was told that it would be $600 plus to order a new tail light assembly. I said OK. She said they have the tail light in stock, but have to bring in the connection. which would take a few days and that I could bring my car back in a week. So today I called to confirm the appointment. I am told that the connector part had to be ordered from the factory and they have no idea when it's coming in. I asked why don't they just bring it in from another Ford warehouse on the mainland and Noell said "well, that would take 5 days", So I'm waiting for the factory part, which we have no idea when that will be, and in the mean time I am missing one of my tail lights at night. My awesome Ford Escape recently broke down...so much so that she could not be fixed, which started the car search. I was super comfortable with that SUV and decided to look for another Ford Escape. After searching and searching the internet, Cutter Ford Aiea (nka Cutter Mitsubishi) was the only place that currently had a previously-owned Ford Escape with good mileage at a good price. I was contacted immediately by their internet sales person Brian Okamura, who was friendly and made my appointment for later that evening. When we got to the lot, we were greeted by Christopher Tam, who was assigned by Brian as our salesperson. Now about Christopher Tam - if I could, I would give this person five stars. Completely professional, extremely knowledgeable, and best of all - DOES NOT HOVER!! He was able to explain the features of the car and suggested other cars that were similar to the Escape (really really loved the Ford Edge). Once we chose the car we wanted, we were taken to the infamous glass room and started signing away, but there was one gigantic problem - I had already secured a loan from another bank and had no plans to sign any financing papers with them - because of this, we had to wait an additional 40 minutes until we got to meet with their finance manager. Thank GOD my mom helped me out by watching my 3-year-old son, or else I would have signed ANYTHING they gave me just to get out of there. On a side note, I think it totally pissed them off that my husband and I just talked and laughed (A LOT) while we waited - plus we were able to make our own plans when we met with the financial manager. Now, I'm going to mention a name that I want you all to remember - MARK MERRITHEW This man is a complete DICK and was furious with us because he was unable to get us to sign financial documents with him, so much so that he question our integrity, wanted to show us how bad Ford products were, and then ended the conversation by calling our decisions "asinine" all because we would not take his offer, which by the way would have been a higher monthly payment along with a long list of warranties that we weren't interested in. I was unable to take the car off the lot that night because of insurance issues, which of course freaked them out, but I reassured Chris that we would be back to pick up the car. The next day I got a call from their customer service representative, Leinani Pickard, to ask how things went the night before. Told her all about the incident with Mark and asked that a manager call me to follow up. Also - not only did Mark be a complete ass to us, he also did not follow through with the documents needed for my bank to complete the loan. The loan officer called him at 8:15am to get the paperwork since we were coming in to sign the loan at 4pm. It took a call from me to Leilani at 4:30p for Mark to move on getting the paperwork done. And as usual, he made a lame-ass excuse on why he did not complete the simple paperwork. Have a received a call from their manager? No and it's been more than a week. Will I ever receive a call from their manager? Probably not. Would I recommend someone to Cutter Mitsubishi? No - unless they're absolutely desperate. I would also offer to go with them so that when they're made to wait for 40 minutes in the infamous glass room, I can at least run out and get them some dinner. Am I happy with the car? Yes. But...will I take my complaint all the way up to the Ford Motor Company? HELL YEAH!!! read more

"Cars Cost WAY MORE at Cutter." (Read all for discount information.) (PART 1) Don't fall for the Cutter scams. Cutter adds a fictitious "adjusted market value" (which is purely profit added to the sticker price), usually between $2000 and $4000. Again, this is PURE PROFIT for Cutter, not including the profit of MSRP over Invoice. There is NO PRECEDENCE in Hawaii for increasing the cost of a car this much other than being a sucker for paying it. When negotiating a price for a new car, a reasonable person starts with the INVOICE price and the dealer negotiates up, but Cutter already has marked it way above MSRP based on some obscure "AMV" which Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds doesn't even acknowledge. Don't accept it. Then, they slip in after-market paint protection and some "anti-theft" engraving which simply prints the VIN on the glass of the car. All new cars already come with VIN etching in many places (including the engine), and paint is already engineered to last 10 years or more. The worst part is they've already added it to most cars sitting on their lot, so watch out if you're in a hurry to buy a car -- you're a prime target. Tell them to remove ALL of these mark-ups before you even start to discuss buying a new car. If you're financing, don't use Cutter -- go to credit unions first, they can pre-approve you fast. I recommend USAA or Pentagon Federal for Federal or Military employees. The sticker price (get it off the internet) plus destination charges, document fees, and tax should be the maximum you EVER pay, preferably lower, unless you're buying a rare or uniquely custom vehicle. Then, minus any rebates, incentives, and discounts. They pretend like all these mark-ups are "normal" or "unavoidable" so as to be low-pressure sales. I call BULL-SH*T. Don't be a sucker. Walk away when they try to ream you. (PART 2 Update) Pretty sly, Cutter Ford, that you posted a 5-star review of yourself. Just goes to show your honesty (user "malia n"). DISCOUNT DISCOUNT DISCOUNT! I am amazed at the poor service I received here. I'm just going to bullet point it for ease of reading. 1) I called up to make a service appointment for my 15 year old, brand new to me vehicle. I explained I had a hesitation from a full stop to acceleration in first gear. I also was only getting 16mpg on a 4 cylinder, and I felt those two might be related. I asked them to dagnose the issue, but I wanted to fix it myself. No problem, we charge $65 for that. 2) I showed up to my appointment one hour and 45 minutes early. My service advisor came out and showed me what they had written down as my issue. "Problem shifting from 1st gear to 2nd, won't shift and go." Not really sure what that meant but It's not what I told them. So I re-explained twice, but left without her actually repeating the problem back to me correctly, and I definitely felt she didn't understand it. I also tried to explain twice what I had previously done to diagnose the issue: MAF clean, Throttle Body clean, replace hoses, replace sparks and wires, vacuum test, compression test, etc. both times I was talked over and gave up. 2) She also informed me that the MPG issue would be a separate $65 charge. I explained I was told it would be $65 total, and she insisted. Well, fine, Don't look into it. But please note it so the tech knows there may be a related issue? Not sure if this was done. 3) I had asked for a shuttle to Town where I work. I was told I was on the list for the 8:15 shuttle. 8:15 came and went... 8:20 came and went... at 8:25 I asked the lady at the front desk where the customer lounge is when the shuttle was leaving and was told "Oh I don't have that information. You should try going to the service desk." Which I did. When I walked in, my service advisor greeted me with "Good morning, welcome to Cutter ford, how can I help you." Wow, less than an hour later and you don't remember me? Oh, and then I find out you also forgot to put my name on the shuttle list, so the shuttle left without me. I was told the next shuttle would leave in an hour. To be fair, before my face could even go full red, another service advisor stepped in and said they would send me out immediately in a different shuttle. Thank you! 4) I called later that day to make sure that I was not also forgotten for my 3pm shuttle pick up. I was told I couldn't schedule that until my advisor called me about my truck. I asked for her to do so, and got a call back in about 30 minutes. She informed me the vehicle wasn't throwing any codes, so they were having trouble diagnosing it... We had discussed the lack of throwing codes when I dropped the vehicle off! I asked if they had at least tried to reproduce the issue yet. I did not get an answer. I asked again, and was told "well the problem is that the engine isn't giving us any codes, yeah?" Again, not an answer. They asked to keep the truck over night. I agreed, but asked her to tell the technician a few things... and basically started FROM THE BEGINNING what the issue was. I don't know that she wrote anything down or talked to the tech. The shuttle did pick me up that day at 3. 5) I waited until 1pm the following day to call. 1.5 hours later I was finally able to talk to my advisor. 6) Eventually we connected and I was told the tech could not reproduce the issue. I told her I was amazed, has he driven it at all? Yes. outside the lot? yes. I asked him to drive it like he was late to work and see if he sees anything. She said they might need to keep it another day. I asked her to let me know. 7) While on the bus home, my advisor called and told me the tech still couldn't reproduce the issue. She offered to have me show the tech the next day, but I had no way of getting there so I decided to give up and get my truck back. I got off the bus in front of cutter and headed to the service desk. 8) The cashier handed me a bill for $71.53, so I asked what the extra charge was for. Apparently, they tack on a fee for hazardous materials disposal. No one told me about this, and according to the tech log, the only thing he did was plug in a code reader and try driving my truck 3 times. No fluids or parts of any kind used. 9) Another service advisor came over and inquired what had been done to my truck, and he looked at my paperwork while I explained the whole fiasco, glanced up at me, said "ok." and walked away. The fact that they didn't diagnose the issue isn't the reason for the 1 star rating. The really terrible customer service, the fact that someone whose job it is to deal with broken vehicles couldn't understand or even repeat the issue back to me, and general sense of "not my problem" from everyone on I saw on staff... that's the reason. Misleading me on pricing TWICE... that's the reason. Will never try them again. (Ran out of room - have more issues with them too...) read more

We've been on a hunt for a truck for a month. Ford was not our first choice but we wanted to keep all options open so we found a used one at their lot. It was listed online and I didn't want to waste time going down there if it was gone. So, I called to inquire. Of COURSE, no one is available to talk to me so they ask for my number. I was hesitant to give it because I know how sales people are. So, I gave them a work number. Well, we decide to stop by late one night since we were in the area. Thankfully, we were assisted by an old friend who didn't pressure us to buy at that time. The truck was nice and within our budget but for that price, I'd rather invest in a Toyota. Plus, I wanted to buy direct from the seller. Dealerships charge taxes, fees, blah blah. So you're paying at least $2K over the vehicle price. Well, we found the Toyota we wanted and got a great deal. In the meantime, the receptionist AND sales guy continued to hound me on my phone every day for a week! UGH. I finally got in touch w/ the sales guy and told him that Ford was not my first option. We are JUST LOOKING. He was fine with that and left me alone. Apparently, the right hand doesn't talk to the left cause the receptionist continued to call me every day. I finally called her back and explained I already spoke to the sales man and told him we were just looking and this isn't the truck we want. She goes on to say, 'WELL IM JUST TRYING TO SEE IF YOURE STILL INTERESTED SO WE CAN SET UP AN APPOINTMENT." She sounded annoyed. Not half as annoyed as ME. It almost felt like harassment. Obviously, if you leave a voicemail every day for a week and the person doesn't call back, they probably found another vehicle. ONE follow up call a week is understandable. Every day? It's overkill. We bought a car from them a year ago, and it was like a time machine. A time machine back to car dealer hell! We have not had to deal with that 'Let me see if my manager will approve that monthly payment' baloney in 15 years. While we were sitting in the showroom, waiting for the salesperson to finish smoking his cigarette and coffee in the manager's den (pretending to be negotiating a deal on our behalf), we started talking about the last time we had to go thru this kind of 9 hour day wasting ordeal, just to give someone our money, and lo and behold, it was Cutter VW. Another Cutter dealership. What a coincidence! Good to see that Cutter dealers are still living in the pre-Internet era of car salesmanship. And we even asked them to cancel the loan application submission when we didn't buy, and they submitted it anyway, triggering a credit check, and lowering our credit score, when you have too many credit inquiries! I want to SCREAM! The reason I decided to write this review now is because I happened to speak to someone yesterday who just experienced a similar nightmare while trying to buy a car from Cutter Mitsubishi. First I want to preface this review by stating that Mario (Sales) and Mark (Finance) were pleasant if nothing more. This review is more reflective of their business philosophy than the individuals I worked with. I've bought a car from Mario before and this was supposed to be my fourth car from Cutter. I was hot on the trail for the new F150. So much so that I was the one calling my sales person every time a new one arrived. I would check their website and let him know that new inventory was available. In all fairness, he's a very popular sales person so it's safe to say he's a busy guy. I finally found the truck with the package I wanted so I rushed over with a check and my title in hand. I was told I couldn't test drive it because it was fresh off the boat. No big deal as I own a F150. I thought it was kind of funny that I knew much more about the truck than the people there. But maybe it's because I own one and read dozens of reviews. So the reason for the lukewarm review is that when it came to negotiating the price, it never happened. They basically tried to charge me over $6000 than the price that was on their website. They said that the price shown on THEIR website is the "mainland" price, and that this holds the same premium as limited, high end cars. To paraphrase, "you would pay a dealer markup on a Corvette. This is just like a Corvette." Whaaaa? I was born at night but I wasn't born yesterday. Anyway, our meeting ended with me being told that they understand that I'm not going to pay the markup, but someone else will. I loved the truck and could afford it. But I've never in my life paid an "adjusted market value" on a BMW, AMG, Cadillac, Honda, Mazda, Chevrolet, F150, Mustangs, or any other car I've owned. I own a retail business so I completely understand supply/demand and basic economics. They want to get top dollar for their product, makes perfect sense. I don't pay their rent so I'm not going to tell them how to run their business. However, I feel like they could have used a little more tact when dealing with a lifelong client and not some babooze off the street. In the end, I ended up buying a Tundra and I absolutely love it. I probably would have been just as happy with the Ford, but I feel like I got more bang for my buck with the Toyota. Fully loaded 1794 edition for $8000 less, with a higher residual value. Every time I go there I write a yelp review and add to my previous post. Another update DO NOT GO HERE! On June 18th I got a call saying that they got the parts in for my vehicle and they can finally start working on it. They told me they could not give me a estimated time of when it would be finished. After my car has been in the shop since June 9th I got not one but two calls today June 22nd informing me that my vehicle was ready to be picked up and to come before 6pm. Well I showed up to let them know I was here to pick up my vehicle, I had just dropped off my rental. They told me to wait outside that someone was going to bring my vehicle to me. I waited...15 minutes had past so I went to go in and ask where my car was and she said that someone was trying to find it. Finally about 20 minutes kellie comes out to tell me that my vehicle is not ready and that they were still waiting for a part and it was still on the lift! So they basically didn't even touch my transmission to fix it at all. I drove all the way from Kaneohe bay, dropped off my rental just to be told there was some miscommunication and to be put back into a rental! I have tried giving these people multiple chances to get their unorganized s*** together and every time I have been let down! Last time when I voiced my concern about them giving me my vehicle in worst condition than when I left it, they didn't even care they told me I could pay $30+ a day to drop off my vehicle and they would get to it when they could and I could get their special discount for the rental. It wasn't until I wrote a bad yelp review that they wanted to help. Yes they paid for me to be in the rental finally, however they have just completely been a waste of my time. Buying from cutter ford was the biggest mistake, I'm paying for a vehicle that I can't even drive! After writing these reviews, I got a message from Pat who was very determined to get to the bottom of all my problems. He went to the manager Eric who were both very helpful and offered to put my in a rental car for free until they can get the chemical needed to fix my transmission. Unfortunately they do not know when it will come in but have said they will try to speed up the process as much as they can. Now it's just time to wait and see how things go. UPDATE REVIEW I bought a 2014 Ford Escape back in December with 500 miles on it! After a lot of back and forth we didn't get our registration until almost 2 months later when we were first told we would receive it in the mail in 3 days! After it had been two weeks of waiting we were told by Dominique he would personally bring it to us on a certain day, I texted him that day to see if he was still coming, he told us no that he mailed it out. After it had been a week from him mailing it out we still had not got it. We were also told he was going to call us so we could get the door code, it is now June and we still have not got it. My passenger side window control doesn't work either. When we purchased our vehicle we bought a warranty that we pay so much more a month to have free 6 month check ups, we took it in for its 6 month check up to find out the transmission is bad, they said that they had two parts that needed to ordered but couldn't tell us when they would be in. Also in our plan it supply's us up to 10 days with a rental, however the rental they wanted to give us was to small for my sons car seat to fit properly in the vehicle along with his stroller or anything else I would need so I had to do a upgrade for an extra $10 a day. I will say they were very nice and and covered that $10 extra dollars a day. But thy were also back and forth about it because one person said I had to pay it and another person said I didn't. It was very unorganized. But I was at day 9 with the rental and they said either they would pay the overage days or the upgrade fee. They told me at day 9 that I could drive my vehicle again. When I picked it up they told me that they still have not got the part but they would call me when they got it. I'm still waiting and my car is still slipping/jumping and the rpm will randomly go crazy. They never answer their phones and it's very hard to get in touch with them! A lot of the numbers online do not work. They also never fixed my window when I had picked up the vehicle. My car sounds and acts worse now then when I dropped it off. When I called to let them know sherry did not seem to care at all, she's said I could bring the car in and they would put me in a rental for $30+ a day. I don't feel it should be my responsibility to pay for a rental when my car was given back to me in worse condition than it was dropped off in. They told me it was safe to drive but it feels anything other than safe. We love our Ford Escape! However we weren't given all of our paperwork sucks as the safety inspection checklist, or the registration. We needed both to register our vehicle on base. This place totally reminded me of all the bad jokes they make about car salesmen. After locating a vehicle online, we came down here to see if we could test drive it. When we pulled up, there were about five or six salesmen standing out front in the parking lot who literally began shaking their heads and nodding and practically licking their lips in the excitement of "new meat" entering the lot. It was pure comedic genius. When we met with our sales person and gave him the vehicle info he advised us that the vehicle we had info on was in fact a mystical vehicle that did not exist, but he then offered to show us 10 other vehicles that we were not in fact interested in. I called to get an airbag changed for my son. They couldn't accommodate me in having a serious problem taking care of immediately. All they need is the letter of notice to do their job by the U.S Department of Transportation. Ownership what not rules they make up can not over ride a letter of NHTSA. My owner's are not on the island. They work on the mainland. The notices are coming in weekly. Why is it so hard to do what a letter states to do. Why do we need an act if congress to have people move and get things done on this stinking island. People losing jobs left and right or even worst leaving the islands to find work. While the ones left behind to take care if things like fixing a "recall". I guessing a letter from the NHTSA has nothing but words to to these employees that schedule these appointment at this facility. Safe driving and caring for a vehicle is not their concern or priorities. Watching and knowing that someone died from a little rule that they make up in their office is more if a standard then fixing a problem that the NHTSA said to change now. Well I will send you the funeral bill when and if the owner gets behind the wheel and passes away cause you have rule your office made up and a letter from the NHTSA means nothing. I can't not stress enough to NEVER buy a car from this dealership. The finance manager, Ernie Salazar, is an absolute crook! I bought a car with GAP insurance and refinanced it. I have been trying for over a week to get a hold of the finance manager AFTER submitting my paperwork 2 MONTHS AGO. These people prey on customers and try and upsell and even try to scam you. The car I bought was advertised as $26,000 on line, but when I went in to look at it, the kept pushing the original sticker price of $31,000. Absolute shame that this is how they treat first time customers and so I guess trying to get a refund for cancellation of my GAP starting July 2nd, 2018 is out of the question. I hade 44 months left on my loan so I just want to make sure that it's publicly known about how I was robbed out of my money. read more

We bought 3 new trucks from Cutter Ford recently. Cutter Ford has a GM by the name of PAT, who actually answers his phone and solves any issues you might have. This is exemplary. Thanks Rey Suenaga and PAT who both went out of their way to help us on these purchases. BTW, Our new Fords are FAR and away better vehicles than the Chevys were. Used car salesmen at best. Their finance guy is a snake. Tried to sneak in a few extra charges like window etching, thinking I wouldn't catch him. Watch yourself because I heard he got promoted to management. Slow closing too because he didn't know what he was doing. Ripping off military members because I'm pretty sure they aren't suppose to have a CAC card reader hooked to every computer in their office specifically for military to log in and get their LES. I have been going to another dealership for service in town, and I had a couple of negative experiences. We purchased our first Transit wagon from that dealership, and a service agreement. Because of the aforementioned incidents, I decided to give Cutter Ford Aiea's commercial service department a try. Initially, scheduling an appointment online was a little misleading. The online appointment site is for their noncommercial vehicles. Consequently, I was directed to their commercial service center across the street. I was told by Shelby that oil service did not require an appointment and that they open at 0800. I prefer making appointments however. Service was completed in a reasonable amount of time. The people were nice and polite. The only drawback is that the waiting room is sparse. No TV, but icy cold AC is what all I need anyway. Bring something to read, or a mobile device and your all good. Things are so far so good. I'm having a second vehicle serviced right now. The location is closer to our business, so I'm willing to stick with Cutter's service. read more

I only needed an oil change and so I dropped in on a Saturday morning without an appointment - Will and his team jumped into action, got me in for service, and smiled the entire time. No up-sell, no hidden costs, just simple, professional, complete service. Will's team took the time to explain future needs, but got me out the door in about an hour. We are a second time customer here at this location..We recently got a New 2016 Flex.. We were the last customer to process and finalize the sale (1 a.m) ..so it was late and didn't really wanted to keep the staff waiting so our sales guys did a walk through around the car, but the lighting wasn't that good, and wanted to just leave. The next day I examine the car and saw a few moldings inside and outside of the car was popping out ( the weather strip)was not properly intact..so I called my sales guy and mentioned the issue..the same week I was able to bring my car in, not knowing it was only to get check and examined. I had to come in again when the parts becomes available, which came in the same week,and when I picked up the car our advisor told us that I have to bring it one more time because they didn't have the other parts and that they could only fix some. A few days after the visit. I noticed a squicking sound coming from the car when I make a left turn..I called my sales guy again mentioning this issue. (I had my Flex less then 2 weeks) when this mechanical issue Took the car in again.. Then I received a call from the advisor, thinking that it's just minor...but No she slammed me by assuming that I had ran over a major pot hole and it damaged a metal in the tire axel and needed a wheel alignment etc..I was like "What I barely drove the car and it's F-#!! NEW first of all you don't say that to a customer assuming when you don't know what the cause..instead you should've asked "IF" I drove accidentally and hit a pot hole.. I was so stressed over this issue that I asked to be transferred to a manager instead she transfer me to their automatic answering machine..I'm like WTF! I was so pissed off that I didn't wanted to yell at someone because of all this frustrations with her telling me that it warranty won't not cover it and that I'll have to pay out of pocket which she estimated $220.00. It made me question about how weak (metal) the Ford body is..tell me if I'm wrong..how in the heck I cause that much damage without hitting or running into a "major pot hole as she calls it" and the rims has no dents or crank.??? Finally I was able to vent and express my concerns/complaints to my sales guy and the sales manager later that day when I went to get my Flex (which I had to keep it in the garage the whole entire week cause of that squicking noise) kind of embarrassing to drive a "NEW" car around with that squicking sounds..didn't want to make Ford Company look bad. The outcome of it all..they fixed it and was able to finally speak with the SM-ERIC.. which he took care of the issue. I just hope that I won't have to deal with this much issue with this car since I'll be or hopefully will still be a long term customer with them for future services..... With this mixed up reviews I hope this negative problems will help them improve and excel to much greater stars to gain more customers and sales.. not affect the good workers and the other departments.. This review pertains to the service department only. I came in to have an oil change for my mustang. Decided to go with "The Works", which was advertised to have "Fluid Top-Off" and "Tire Rotation and Pressure Check". I upgraded to full synthetic though for the engine oil instead of synthetic blend. Upon retrieving the car, I noticed that the windshield fluid was not top off but Will Soong, my service adviser, came to top it off in front of me, which was great, after I requested. I like Will, he is friendly, the fault below is not on him, it is probably due to the technicians' error. However, I missed checking the psi on all four tires and when I checked the psi from the small display in the car, the psi were not adjusted to Ford's recommendation on the small sticker near the driver's door. It was off by 5 psi on all four tires. Of course I can always go back to the dealership or adjust it myself at the gas station but it made me wonder about the quality of the service. If I have to request the fluid to be top off and that they missed adjusting the psi, then what are the chances the lot technicians might have mistakenly put the synthetic blend oil instead of the full synthetic like I requested? One star only for the shuttle service. read more

I brought my car here to diagnose a sound coming from the front end. After a few hours, they called me saying the mechanics couldn't replicate the sound I was hearing when I was driving, so I had to go back to Cutter just to replicate the sound. After that, the mechanics "located" the sound coming from the steering column, which they said had to be replaced. This was estimated to cost about $3000 for parts/labor. I wasn't confident with their diagnosis, so I eventually took my car to another mechanic for a diagnosis. There, I was told that three of my motor mounts had failed, and there was nothing wrong with my steering column. The three motor mounts cost less than $100 total. Cutter Ford was completely ready to scam me out of almost $3000 without even fixing the actual problem because of their useless mechanics. I wasted over $100 on a bad diagnosis and 5 Ubers just to show their incompetent mechanics what was actually wrong with my car. I could never recommend this place to anyone in good conscience.
