This store isn't actually that bad. Unfortunately CVS as a company really sucks! Their website is so bad it's almost laughable. It'll want to text you a code to see if it's you. Then after you've wasted time doing that, they email you another code to really make sure it's really you. If you try to call the store, after navigating through several menus you might be lucky enough to get the AI to say "connecting you to a Pharmacy Team Member" only to be hung up on! That happened twice in a row today. The only way you can talk to a pharmacist is to try to fill a prescription online and select "message the pharmacist". They actually will call you back, eventually. Sadly, this is the way most large companies are treating their customers these days. Thank goodness we have AI so that we can waste even more time trying to get to a person who can answer questions. CVS has certainly gone downhill very quickly the last few years. read more

Lizmary the pharmacy tech was rude and dismissive. I went to pick up a prescription in the drive thru, and Sumi told me it would take 30 minutes if I waited and picked it up in store. I waited 45 minutes to be safe, and when I went inside and explained the situation, and Sumi tried to gracefully explain the next steps, but Lizmary was immediately rude with me, waving her hand to dismiss me, and whispering things under her breath because the pharmacy ultimately didn't have my prescription. She was also visibly texting on her phone in the middle of filling prescriptions. read more

Went for a vaccine appointment. I was able to schedule an appointment late Saturday afternoon for 3:15 Sunday. I arrived about 15 minutes early and had received my 2 vaccines by 3:15. Waited for 15 minutes, picked up my vaccine card, and I was on my way. Efficient. Couldn't have asked for anything more. read more

This is my go to CVS to pickup my drug subscriptions. The manager is very nice and helpful, and the store is very clean and constantly changing seasonal items. There is always nice items for sale and always pickup a few extra things when I am here. The pharmacy is great too but sometimes struggle paying using the CVS app on my phone. The staff always welcomes me entering and thank me when I leave. Right now they are getting out Valentine's Day merchandise and will browse through it the next time I return. Be careful in the parking lot where drivers will cut through here versus staying on the street to avoid a light. read more

The pharmacist, who never made eye contact with me or spoke to me for over seven minutes of me standing at the consultation counter, told the gal (who looked to him instead of answering my "quick question") that he told me he'd be with me in a minute. With a pharmacy pretty much on every corner around here, they should probably be more concerned about customer service to stand out in a sea of pharmacies. Tired of being racially profiled and followed whenever I enter the store or check out. Thought it was a coincidence the first few times, until my last visit where 2 white men where allowed to use self checkout but when it was my turn (only had a bag of candy worth less than $3) an employee (who was MIA until now), walks over, cancels my transaction and says I have to be rung up at a register. They then spend several minutes trying to sign me up for a cvs card, even after I decline Imagine making minimum wage but assuming someone will steal solely based the color of their skin. Janet the store manager is an absolute rockstar. I had a gift card issue from a card I purchased here that I spent 10+ hours trying to fix with airbnb to no avail. Janet heard me out on the situation and got to the bottom of it to troubleshoot what had happened, spending hours on the phone herself when it would have been easy to have told me they were unable to help. I've been going to this CVS for 3 years. They were great until the past 6 months or so. Today, I spent 47 minutes on hold, waiting to ask about a prescription my doctor called in 2 weeks ago. When the pharmacist finally answered, he said the drug was there and he'd fill it right away. So, the prescription just sat there for who knows how long? Sometimes, you'll get a text saying your prescription is ready, but when you show up, it hasn't even been started. I think they might lie and indicate it's ready so corporate doesn't know how long it is taking them to fill prescriptions. When I complained to the pharmacist, he said management has left them short-staffed and to just call to see if my prescription is ready. But if you call, expect to hold more than 30 minutes. My fiancé has been waiting there and watched them ignore calls and the drive-thru the entire time. He switched all his prescriptions over to H-E-B, and I think I will do the same because this place is not getting any better. I need a reliable pharmacist. I don't mind waiting a week sometimes to get a prescription if it isn't urgent, but at least tell me it will be a week and have it ready when I get there. I don't have time to wait there while it is being filled behind five other people also waiting to have their prescription filled. read more

I went there to get a Covid test and waited in line for over a hour and that wasn't the problem it was the pharmacist who was super rude to start off with instead of explaining to me that I was at the wrong location she started telling me everyone's name that has appointment which I believe breaks confidentiality. I don't think the other people need me to know that they had appointments. Also, what really upset me was one of the names was a ethnic name and she looked at me and said "well that's definitely not you". That blew me way out of the water. The worst pharmacy. After I pick up my meds today, I'm moving everything to HEB. Have been sitting in the drive-thru for 25 minutes bc the one car ahead has been sitting at the window for 25 minutes. They are clearing filling his prescription vs simply picking up one that is ready. Good customer service would have them pull forward so the 5 cars waiting could be helped. They don't care about your health, time or safety. I waited 40 minutes in drive thru line even though I had an appointment. When I finally got to the window the pharmacist was very rude. When I told her my reason for being there they threw her arms up in frustration and walked away from phone. 15 minutes later she finally came back annoyed and asked what my confirmation code was. Another 10 minutes went by and she finally gave me my Covid test and walked away. There's no way to tell if this test was performed correctly because I had never done the test before. She is putting people's life at risk because she can't not conduct herself in a safe a professional manner. Another time I made an appointment at the minute clinic and was waiting outside like they suggested I do. But I missed the call to come inside building for appointment and immediately called back a few seconds later. But there was no answer. I called back several time and waited on hold but they still did not answer. I rescheduled at another location where I had no issues. They don't want your business here. Please don't waste your time. In this case he denied my girl friend a CoVid vaccine as a walk in BUT took the guy who also didn't have an appointment as a walk in immediately after us. Then when on to say if we would have an appointment he would take us. But he would be wasting 15 doses. I made the point that regardless of reservations he would be wasting the 15 doses. Photo department service is unbelievably bad. Went here for Black Friday sale on Saturday night. Two girls working were basically like "yeah ummm the computer is frozen so 8x10 is not going to work." No effort to resolve it, nothing. Also photos were suppose to be 50% off with card according to photo screen but they just said "nah". Will be going to other CVS on Wm Cannon from now on. read more

Today, October 25, 2021, I saw an online marketing ad from CVS saying that all of their thousands of pharmaciests were screened and highly regarded and could be trusted. Well, hold on. In October 07, 2021, I went to CVS on Bee Caves Roadin Austin, Texas, for my flu shot. I was told to sit in a chair in a very small space. A man in a white coat came in. His white coat was dingy and dirty and he was unkempt. Immediately, the first words he said to me were "I always planned to be a gynecologist, but they told me at medical school that my hands were too big, what do you think?" I was very shocked and did not know to do or say. I left the CVS immediately. When I got home, I called CVS and spoke with the Operations Mgr. He took my information and said he would have someone in the corporate office called the NEXT day. Days passed and I called again. The Operations Mgr. had forgotten to make the connection for me and I asked to speak with the Mgr. onboard at that time. She too took my information, said she was appalled as well, and said she would have the District office call me the next day. Well, I did not get that call, so I called the District office myself. I spoke with someone named Bill Snyder and he said he would call me back on Monday. So, on TUESDAY he called me back and said he met with this "pharmacist"/SEXUAL HARRASSER and that, after checking CVS records, they had received two other complaints on this guy. Mr. Snyder told me that he was fired that very day. I am not over this, it was the first time I had ever encountered a sexual harrasser like this guy and I understand how others feel now. It was obvious when I first saw this creep that something was wrong here. CVS should have taken action much sooner and their employees need to learn how to respond to their customers and for the employees to actually do what they say. I will not go into a CVS again, and if you have been victimized by this pervert that you speak up as well. I am sure I was not the first victim, or the second or even the third. read more

I watched almost every customer have some sort of prescription struggle throughout the process. The staff was kind but seemed super stressed. I went in for the minuteclinic as it was the going to be best option bc otherwise I couldn't get an apt at ARC for my pink for four days. That was fine. The PA I saw was great. However, afterwards I went to the pharmacy to see how long it was going to take to get my script after being seen at the minute clinic. They took my paperwork back to the Pharmacist, to which he replied they would call my name over the intercom. I then replied, "yes but how LONG will it take?" & the pharmacist said about 15 minutes. Ok, great. I sit down at the pharm waiting area, no one is in line, only one other woman was waiting for her drugs. Slowly but surely about 45 min pass by. & then the pharmacist comes over to me & asked me my name...again. Come to find out that the script was never even sent over from the minuteclinic in the first place! So even though he knew I was waiting, & he had my paperwork in hand for about 5-10 min before I finally asked it back (the paperwork had my name/birth date on it w the script), he still hadn't made any headway on it.... & they were eyedrops. EYEDROPS! It's not like he needed to count out any pills or anything, just find & package the drops. That's it. & while I was sitting & waiting w the one other woman who was waiting w me, a man came in & picked up his drugs & the pharmacist checked him out & they shot the shit for about 15 min while the techs were just standing around doing nothing..not like they really could do anything if the pharmacist wasn't doing his job, so not really their fault anyways. So after he asked me my name after I had been sitting & waiting, which I waited an additional 15 min after that (so an hour total) I finally told him, ya know what I'll just come back, my parent's house is around the corner & I would rather wait there than here, since I had been there about 2.5 hours already (waited about 45 min for the minute clinic & then was in the appointment room for about 45 min - 1 hr). So I went over to my parents & waited just over an hour & hadn't received a phone call about my drops & the pharm was going to close in a couple of hours, so I went on over there & waited in line for about 20 minutes, along w a bunch of other unhappy people also waiting for their medication, & when I finally go to the front of the line, guess what? MY DROPS S T I L L WERE NOT READY! The poor tech told me, "oh you're not going to be very happy w me..." & I said, "you're kidding me...they're STILL not ready?" No. They still weren't ready. So, in the most polite way possible, I kind of went off on them, staring at the pharmacist, bc it was HIS fault not the tech's. & sure enough, after I had to blow up at these people, approx 5 minutes later, my drops were ready. This was on Jan 6, 2020. I am only just now writing a review bc my mom just went there, she has been trying to pick up our dog's medication for weeks now, but every time she has gone to do so, at allll different hours throughout the day, & when the pharmacy is actually open, but the line has been so damn long she didn't want to wait. It got to the point where the pharmacy said that they were going to send BACK the medication in 8 days if she didn't come and get it. & my poor dog has been suffering bc this medication is for her hips, & she has been in pain bc we haven't been able to pick it up. So just now she went, & the lady in front of her in line said she had already been waiting for 2 HOURS!! I told my mom before she went it might be worth it to wait in the drive thru bc at least she could sit down and wait in the comfort of her car. But she went in bc she needed to purchase some things from store. But after being told the woman in front of her had been waiting for 2 hours, she left & got in her car & waited about half an hour for the drugs. It has gotten absolutely ridiculous how terrible the service is. I don't even typically get my drugs at CVS, I prefer Walgreens, but since I went to the MinuteClinic I figured, why not? it's right here a stone's throw away. I probably could've avoided all that had I just sent them to my regular Walgreens. I was told that they had a huge change over in the pharm staff, except only w the techs? The pharmacist is still the same... so honestly I am unclear how the service can be THIS terrible when the burden to get things done is really on the pharmacist bc it's not like the techs can count out or distribute the meds. They help w the organization & ring up the drugs... Anyways, I called CVS customer service & filed a formal complaint. I figured since this has been going on for months, ppl have been so pissed about having to wait, the last thing they wanted to do was wait some more on hold to file a complaint. So I bit the bullet & did it. Hopefully this can get taken care of bc it is absolutely awful. Edit: After reading reviews, this has been going on LONG before they 'cut' the pharm. staff..so I don't even see how they can use that excuse of being short staffed read more

Surprised to read all the negative reviews. I've received multiple prescriptions filled by this location over a week period (4/20/20 thru 4/27/20) where time was a major consideration. Prescriptions were filled within an hour after leaving the doctors office each time. Pharmacist even left me voice message clarifying the relationship between medication received earlier in the week and the new medication I was going to receive. Medicine picked up with no issues other than the pandemic social distancing stuff. We've used this pharmacy for quite some time - thru raising all our our kids, etc. Never had any experiences like I've read in these reviews. Maybe just lucky. We'll keep using them until they give me reason not to do. read more

Woefully understaffed. Wanted to get a flu shot and was told that there would be a 30 minute wait. After waiting for 45 minutes, had to leave. Came back early a few days later and still had to wait 30 minutes before receiving my flu shot. Poor Pharmacist says they have cut staffing to bare bones. It's really hard to dislike CVS. I mean, the place is always immaculate looking and the people are always pretty nice and helpful. My first experience here wasn't that great because they LOST my insurance card! I asked for my insurance card back after dropping off my prescription and the guy who helped me out said that he gave it back to me. I have a pretty decent memory but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and checked my car, my purse, and my wallet. Guess what? No insurance card. I told him I didn't find it and he basically said that he KNEW he gave it back to me and that I needed to keep looking. The manager was informed of my missing card and they appeared to look around the space only to not find it. I kindly ask the manager to give me a call when they DO find it. I never got that call. Drive thru service for Pharmacy is the S-L-O-W-E-S-T ever. If it wasn't the closest location to my home (that accepts my employer's insurance), I would avoid at all costs. I go inside to set up my account, drop off some scripts, and the wait at the drive thru is STILL incredibly slow (30-40 minutes on two occasions). It really makes me miss the folks at Walgreen's at Slaughter @ Mopac! read more

Highly recommend not making plans based on appointment times for shots/prescriptions at this pharmacy. They move at a glacial pace. I've even had them ask me to come back days later (despite making an appointment) in the past. I'd be more empathetic if I ever experienced a long line here or saw a crowded pharmacy area, but I never have. It seems like you really have to ask/push to get the pharmacy staff to mobilize in any way, shape, or form. Maybe it's a reflection of the past year or so or maybe it's the staff in this location. Either way, this is an incredibly slow and inefficient pharmacy. Don't plan your day around a visit here. You're probably better off just going somewhere else. read more

The Pharmacist, Steven, is the best I have ever used. When my daughter contracted the flu and was prescribed thamaflu, which she could not stomach, Steven was patient with me on all of my panicked calls to reassess how the dosing should be handled. Also, when I needed a flu shot he was able to administer it (keeping me from the super long wait for the minute clinic). Lastly, when I inquired about the Thamaflu availability, I learned that this particular pharmacist is very careful to keep enough on hand to avoid a shortage, so important for a mom of three. read more

On top of tracking every purchase with the "Rewards Card", you are rewarded with 20 questions from the tactless, over-her-head, little cashier girl, regardless of what you purchase. Today, I asked for some OTC Soap. "What's your name?", she blurted. On top of that, (after answering 20 questions) I had ordered a box of OTC supplies for a medical condition several weeks ago, and asked to pick them up. In spite of the fact I was ALREADY ASKED the 20 questions when I ordered the supplies, she insisted "she was required by law" to ask, which is UTTER B.S. CVS - IT's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, and now you have NONE OF MY BUSINESS, my families, and friends business. Everyone reading this needs to follow suit. I had a very bad experience here trying to get passport pictures for my son. She started to help us first, because I figure it's a first come first serve basis. However the woman stopped helping us even though we told her that we were in a rush to get to the passport agency because the line started to become long at the cash register. Instead of calling someone else to take care of the line she stopped helping us and went to the cash register, we waited for 10 minutes and left the store. This is a commonsense thing that it's first come first serve. I will never go back to the store again! read more

I've recently started shopping at CVS more for an easy place to grab household essentials. I buy a lot of my nail polish there because they are always running some type of sale and you can usually get a good price! The best thing is signing up for an Extra Care card and downloading the CVS app. They run specials and you can earn cash back on your purchases! Without the specials and cash back it can sometimes be expensive though. The employees at this location are always so nice too! read more
