I have to say that I had a great pharmacy experience here. My health insurance changed, and so did my co-pay. I thought I knew all the changes but I didn't. I was very upset and confused by everything, and no matter how much I was upset the pharmacist who helped me stayed calm and explained what to do to help me. They stayed with the issue until I had a result that was satisfactory. I really appreciated their patience and helpful attitude. read more

This place is garbage. Tried to pick up prescriptions and had to be ringed up three times to get it right. Then there are a bunch of annoying prompts on the screen about joining a loyalty program, donating to charity, a bunch of useless steps. Today I had a simple question but they said I had to ask it at the dropoff line instead of the pickup line. I waited for a bit but had to get out of there so I tried calling them instead and after being on hold half an hour I express my disappointment and the guy hangs up on me. Obviously they aren't hurting for business but we'll be taking ours somewhere else. read more

This place is hell on earth. Forget sending people to prison. Judges should hand down punishments of standing in line to get a RX. The desk people are nice ... the main problem is the pharmacist. For some reason the won't show up to the consult window no matter how many times the coworkers remind them. Aren't they there to make sure take your RX properly. I've walked away from the window numerous times knowing that they will never come up there anyway. I prefer the pharmacist from It's A Wonderful Life over these guys. Be prepared for a wait! This pharmacy is not organized or efficient enough for the volume of people in the neighborhood. There is always a long line or some kind of mixup that will keep you waiting. The only reason why I keep going back is because of close proximity not because I want to give them my business. If you can avoid this pharmacy do yourself the favor and find another option. Final straw was the other day the girl tried to tell me insurance didn't cover one of my medications. I told her it covers name brand and she was entering generic. Wow. I have zero words. This pharmacy is RIDICULOUS. The pharmacist was hot, but TOTALLY rude. Look, we all have our bad days- i get it, but he treated me with no respect. Every time i approach the pharmacy at CVS, I know I'll have to wait at least 20 minutes before someone helps me, so that was no surprise. BUT I always approach the pharmacist with a smile on my face and a good attitude no matter how long I have to wait. I did the same thing yesterday, but in return I had a RUDE pharmacist who completely mocked me. Clearly he hates his job, so get a new one. This place is really the worst. I dread going here. The store itself is fine, but the pharmacy is abhorrent. If there was another CVS in the area with reasonable yelp reviews, I would go there instead, but it seems to be systematic. Why? Service is slow. It can take them an hour to fill a prescription that takes no preparation (literally a pack of pills shoved into a bag). It can take 20 minutes to get through to them by phone. Lines are always super long. It's dangerous. I once received someone else's prescription - this could have been super hazardous to someone who was elderly or sick and accidentally took it. I usually don't pay for my prescription, so when they asked me to pay a copay, I inquired as to why. (This should have been a cue to check they were giving me the right medication!) Instead the pharm tech said something about "insurance always changing the rules" so I shrugged of the $7.00. They aren't helpful. I once needed a prescription that wasn't covered by my insurance due to the timing of my request. The pharmacist did not explain my options (i.e. wait 3 days, fill the prescription and pay for it etc.) and just stood there as if it wasn't his problem to solve and seemed really inconvenienced when I asked him to fill it anyway so I could pay out of pocket (again, shoving a pack of pills into a bag). They're unresponsive. My doctor has called in medication to this store on two different occasions and left messages. On both occasions I drove to the store after work to find no medication under my name, and with the doctor's office closed, I'm forced to drag out the process another day. Its really too bad. Pharmacists are paid enough that they should have standards, the way there are in any other professional field. I could never get away with treating customers this way at my job. And on top of this, there is always lurkers in the parking lot and the elevator is the slowest in the city. read more

Elevators are normally out of use. Just one person at the register. Will take you up to half an hour for a simple purchase. Attendants and pharmacists are mostly annoyed and reluctant to help with the exception of one older lady who works the late shift. Here is my experience with them. You be the judge. Thursday 4:30 PM - Handed in 2 prescriptions for a relatively common antibiotic. I was told they were a bit busy and would take one hour to get them ready Friday 11AM - Went to pick up medication. One was ready. The other was out of stock. No one had told me and neither ordered them. They said they could order that night. I asked them to check other CVS's around. A pharmacy employee told me it would take 20-30 min to call other CVS's and was going to call me back instead of me waiting there. Friday 3:30PM - Called them back after not hearing back from them in 4.5 hours. Spent 20 minutes on the phone. 8 minutes for them to answer in the first place. Another 8 minutes for them to check what is going on. After 8 minutes of silence, the response I got was that person was on lunch break (took them 8 minutes to figure that out) and they had no clue on what happened. The person on the phone told me he'll check himself. I said I'll stay on the line. In 5 minutes, he was able to locate a store that has it. I could have had the exact same outcome 24 hours earlier if these people did their jobs right. Then I found out the medication that they gave me was supposed to be mixed by a pharmacist and it wasn't. Had to go back and tell them to prepare it. read more

Let's be honest going to the pharmacy in general is the worst. CVS specifically has a pretty bad system of automatically texting you that your prescription is ready when it isn't. But, the people here are nice and they do their best. As far as pharmacies go this one is local and has a good selection of other stuff if you need to pick up something else. read more

This is the worst CVS/Drugstore I have ever been to! It's ridiculous the store put so much money into remodeling and making it nice and it is the worst service I have ever received. I have been here about 4 times in the last month because it is convenient to where I live and every time I leave pissed off! No one is ever around to help and everyone that works there is a complete moron! I have stood in-line waiting to checkout before for over 10 minutes because we can't find an associate to ring us up. I have asked questions about products and the associates say they will be right back and never come back. This store has lost my photos, screwed up my prescription, and wasted too much of my time! They are often out of whatever I seem to need... the parking lot is a nightmare... and the service always seems a bit forced. Is there an option to give this CVS -1 star? Came here on my lunch break to grab a couple of things. Needed an iPhone cable which they keep in a locked glass cabinet. Pushed the service button so an associate could help me. Waited there patiently for a few mins, the pharmacist standing a few feet asked if I needed help and he offered to call someone, I told him there was no need as I already pushed the service button. Well 10 mins later, still no one shows up. So I go to the front counter. The woman offers to call someone, but I told her I just pushed the button. Why have a service button if I have to go to the front desk after I've been waiting for 10 mins to then ask for help? Doesn't make sense or isn't efficient. Anyway, went back to the cabinet to wait for another 5 mins.. Still a no show. Long story cut short... 30 mins and I finally check out with the iPhone cable to get quoted the wrong price... Anyway, all the associates were rude and should not have been working there. Worst location ever. read more

In-store pharmacy staff has no idea what they're doing. Smit wanted to charge me for my prescriptions without applying my insurance, and was shocked when I asked him what the total was. Two women on the phone verifying prescriptions on the phone were deliberately not helpful, and when couldn't answer my question, she hung up on me and pretended like we were disconnected twice. I have a lot of issues with a lot of CVS Pharmacies in LA, they are understaffed and the employees are overworked. I used to go to the CVS down at 3rd and Fairfax until I moved, where the staff was so busy and drained my prescriptions were almost never filled right but up in Weho some of the staff is rude. One pharmacist in particular has made it DIFFICULT to get my medications, not ordering them when they say they have, and making me go over a week without medicine I need and only doing so after my insurance company got involved. I understand this is a busy area and I would not want to be doing that job, but when it come to the health of others someone who WANTS TO BE THERE should be doing it otherwise people could get hurt. read more

I have been using this CVS on and off for many years now. Just in the last few months I have had to go in to fill prescriptions. I found the pharmacist to be one of the most helpful I have ever encountered. She runs a tight ship, seems to know what's going on with all the register folks, listens quite well, and has saved me hundreds of dollars in co-pays by suggesting various ways to get discounts that I had never heard of before. All, beware of CVS pharmacies! I was enrolled in their discount generic drug program, Health Savings Pass, mainly because my medical insurance doesn't cover meds. They have just ended the program without warning; a pharmacist alleges that letters were sent out, but I never received one. So, now I (and others in the same boat) have to pay full price or find another generic plan elsewhere. I just found out why: there is a class action lawsuit against CVS which alleges they were over-charging insurance companies for generic meds. The insurance companies, in turn, were increasing co-pays to insured consumers. Somehow, CVS was using the Health Savings Pass to hide the actual prices of generic drugs from insurance companies. Google them: there are other class action suits for additional disreputable practices. Just another greedy corporation screwing consumers, so be forewarned! read more

I have had it with this place. After several years of being bullied, talked down to, etc. Trent the previous Pharmacy Manager has left. We are now stuck with David (the great HIPPA violator; what you consume will be shown to whole public in this facility due to their negligence or lack of regard for their "patients") I say patients because verbatim from a Jessica Kim "I don't have to fill anything if I don't agree, and I don't agree with XYZ prescription." Further Jessica Kim's negative attitude is reinforced by her boss David at the Pharmacy here. Also, there is a Joann that is PART of the problem. David knows what to say, but he rolls his eyes and you can see by his body language, he doesn't care. They have a new policy in violation of many health related laws; for the sake of convenience, I fill all of medicines up to three days early and have done so in the past three years or even more. My life can't revolve around their inability to communicate or DO THEIR JOBS; I actually learned to REFILL EARLY BECAUSE THEY NEVER FILLED ON TIME EVER, and I do mean NEVER ON TIME for ANYTHING! Since David became the Pharm Manager, he now thinks he can freely exercise as a Medical Doctor/PCP. NONE OF THE PHARMACISTS HERE HAVE COMPASSION. SOCIOPATHIC individuals. If he took the Hippocratic Oath, why is he treating his "patients" so poorly? Whether you are dying, late to work, don't wanna deal with them on the weekend, the last few months have resulted in a policy that will only allow you to refill one day early even though LAW says you may fill when 90% of your prescription at the directions of your ACTUAL PCP has been consumed. read more

Been a long time patient here at Care Plus, the service along with the staff just took a [poo] nose dive downhill. When I began with them about 6 years ago they were the usual friendly neighborhood pharmacy. WHO CARED. The last draw was trying to order a few medications that I absolutely cannot go without. They almost seemed as tho they enjoyed saying no without any type of sympathy whatsoever because I was not 3, not 2, but 1 count them ONE day early. Along with the creepy looks when I would come in and pick up my pain medication. Looking at me like I am a criminal. I will say that Matthew along with being a cutie, he was the only one who was helpful there. Along with Lydia the best. I went to another true neighborhood pharmacy and I was floored how much better they were. Maybe I was so used to being treated like dirt that any kind of real service was so totally appreciated. This CVS has great parking and the lines are not bad for the pharmacy. The building however is next to a self made homeless village. Often times the sidewalks are impassable with clutter, trash, tents and shopping carts. They also do not allow bathroom use claiming it is always "out of order" read more

Their pharmacy has the worst customer service ever! So here's what went down: I dropped off a prescription for Vicodin yesterday around 5pm. Two long lines-one for drop-off, one for pick-up. The woman who waited on me (who I later found out was the manager) looked at my prescrip and gave me a pained look like she had terminal diarrhea. She informed me they only had five pills in stock and that a shipment would arrive the next afternoon and that I should come back around 8pm to pick up. 'Why so late?' I inquired. She informed me that due to Vicodin being a Class 3 drug, it takes them longer to process the drug once it is delivered, then to fill the prescriptions. That made no sense to me, but chalked it up to my ignorance and to attending Ball State University. Flash forward to the next day. It's a little after 5pm and as I'm driving home from work, decide to phone CVS and see if by chance my prescrip is ready. I called and got the pharmacy and a woman told me to hold. I waited. And waited. 10 minutes went by, then 20. As I drove, I got closer and closer to the CVS. I thought about parking and walking into the store and seeing what was going on that they could not take my call. I decided to head home. I parked, entered my apartment and put the call on speaker phone. 25 minutes on hold. It now became a battle of wills. Who would give out first? Me or them? At 27 minutes, someone finally picked up the line. 27 MINUTES! WTF? I made mention of the fact I'd been on hold almost a half hour. She brusquely moved on to the purpose of my call. I asked if my prescrip was ready. She puts me back on hold. Noooo! Back on the line a few minutes later. "When did you drop this off?" I told her. She tells me that they have no Vicodin. I tell her that someone informed me otherwise. She asked who it was and I described her. "That would be my manager and I don't know why she told you that." Hell, neither did I. She went on to tell me they weren't sure when they would be restocked. Meanwhile, my pain in my arm is becoming more intolerable. "Well, can you call Pavilions in WeHo and see if they have it?" I asked. She told me she can't call a competing business. (Oddly, Pavilions recently called this CVS for me when they were out of stock of a prescrip I needed. Guess it doesn't flow both ways.) "Well, can you call another CVS?!" I demanded. She said she could and for me to come and pick up the paper prescrip. About 30 minutes later, I showed up. There's 4-5 employees behind the counter and two customers in line to pick up and one in line to drop off. When finally waited upon, I gave them my name. A woman behind the counter told me again that it was her manager who misinformed me. I told her 'well, she should be written up'. She said, 'that's my manager' to which I replied, 'I don't care. Write her ass up'. They handed me back my unfilled prescrip. I asked if they called any other CVS. "Yes, we called 4 or 5 and no one has any Vicodin.' I left, drove to Pavilions in WeHo and miracle of miracles, they have it in stock. Filled in 15 minutes. Pain subsiding. Lesson learned? This CVS is a poor, pathetic excuse of a pharmacy. I'd fire every one of them, starting with that so-called manager. Worthless. read more

WORST. WORST. WORST PHARMACY EVER! My husband and I were each on hold here for 50 minutes. No joke. The wait times are ridiculous. It's understaffed. The people that work here are rude and don't have enough knowledge to be working in the pharmacy business. They need a complete overhaul. I finally spoke to Mariam the pharmacist. She is apparently brand new there for only 2 weeks. She was brought it in the attempt to make some changes. First off she was having 5 other multiple conversations while on the phone with me. Second, she was absolutely rude in her tone. You can tell she wanted to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. After waiting near an hour I expected complete attention and for my questions to be answered. After absolute frustration I said I wanted to speak to a manager. She said "ok" and then hung up on me! GET QUALIFIED AND BETTER EMPLOYEES PLEASE. I've now started going to Walgreen Community Pharmacy. Never a wait!!! read more

Excellent sqervice. We are snowbirds so I use this store when here and a store in Portland when there. They handle all the prior authorization for the insurance company, they call to schedule delivery as the prescription needs refrigeration. They do it all with kindness and a smile. This CVS went through a remodel recently that put items in very strange places. This used to be one of my favorite CVS stores but now it's just....well....confusing. Maybe I'm just not used to it but I'll have to give it time and then re-rate it if I need to. The good news is that they have a pretty good selection of goodies. The self-check out lanes are a great addition. The pharmacy....well....I'd stay away from this pharmacy if you can. They are very busy and for whatever reason seem to be very grumpy all the time. It's not always pleasant when dealing with sick people and their insurance plans but I am not a stranger to pharmacies. This one just doesn't seem to care or take much of an interest in helping their patients out. read more

I've been going here for years and finally had my prescriptions transferred. Every time I go it is a very painful experience. They have the worst customer service on the planet and are generally just unpleasant to everyone. I wouldn't mind I they could at least get my prescriptions right, but they can't even seen to do that. They call me to tell me my prescriptions are ready when i don't even ask for them to be refilled, and when i do request a refill they are never ready when i go pick them up and I sit around waiting EVERYTIME!!. I like this location- inside is always clean and shelves well stocked, good customer service. Only neg is yes- bottom 2 parking floors sometimes smell gross from homeless people and you might encounter a scary looking homeless person. Never had this experience parking on the roof though and ample parking in general. read more
