When my friend approached me with this I thought to myself no thank I'm not craving that and though about eating next door I went and look at their menu. During twenty minutes of waiting for my food to be done, I kept thinking this it I became "hangry" and decided I would never get here again. My fave go to spot whenever I'm around this restaurant for work. I been eating a clean diet and their salads are on point. The Cajun chicken salad and shrimp salad are good and a decent amount for what you pay. They also have tea and i normally get honey green tea or no sugar green tea. I really like their sizes that they offer. Parking shouldn't be an issue here because it's shared in a big plaza where the Ontario Mills is. I'm a teppanyaki lover so I decided to give this place another try. I actually cooked this style of food for myself so I can say I'm no expert but I'm a little familiar with what I'm rating. I was called back in half the time that I was told. Picked up my food and I was good to go . Once I started to eat the food it started to go down hill. To be fair, I believe this place has a lot of potential. The type of food one is getting with the price is being offered is spot on. The flavors are actually there, but the cooking of the food is where it all went wrong. The fried rice ( which is a $1.99 upgraded from steam rice) tasted like steam rice bathed in teriyaki sauce. It wasn't horrible but not what I'm use to getting with fried rice. I think both meats may be cooked together or pre-cooked then warmed. That seems to be the only thing I could think of as to why they were so overcooked. The only little piece of steak that was edible( the rest was so overcooked that it was hart to bite into) actually tasted like it was seasoned well. The same was to ge said of the chicken . The vegetables were the upside to this meal. They tasted good. I may think about trying this spot one more time since the service was good. If you are on a time crunch, you're better off going somewhere else. My husband and I came here at 11:30am on a Friday and ordered their Chicken/Steak & Shrimp w/ Rice and Veggies; I got the chicken and he got the steak. It came out to about $25 for both plates. After we paid, the cashier said our food would be ready in 20 minutes. To us, that was already a long wait as we had an appointment to be at, and in our minds, stir-fry shouldn't take that long. We sat down and 30 minutes went by and still no sign of our food. So my husband went up and asked if our food would be out soon and they said that it would be another 10-15 minutes. On top of that, we saw several people that came in after us get their food so they likely prioritize take-out orders over real-time orders. At this point, we were not happy. We got our food after 45 minutes, and unfortunately, both the steak and chicken were dry and not flavored so we had to add soy sauce to our plates. Very disappointing. We had to scarf our food down because the wait was so long and we were gong to be late for our next appointment. Long story short, the wait time is extremely long here and the food was below average, especially for the price. We were confused because this place got good reviews. I would definitely say food is okay not the best ever, but still good. The fried rice is worth the extra money. I think the grilled chicken needed a little bit more seasoning and it would have been perfect. I'm actually surprised I ate my veggies this time lol, they were good. Now, I'm very picky when it comes to my food, I ordered it super crispy and also said that if it was some burn was alright; since I like it well done. Surprisingly, they managed to cook it the way I like it without burning it at all. I was very impressed. Everything was DELICIOUS and fresh.
