Group average is 4 Nice calzone options and some combinations were new for us. My mac and cheese with chicken was pretty good. No seating area, so its all carry out. Suggestions: go to the Scioto Mile near the river side/park area for a nice view (just 8 minutes away).

Thursday, April 27. Just ordered from D.P. For the first time I'm not that pleased. Tots were a complete mess, cold and closely stale. Smashed and mashed like an angry miserable restaurant owner. Also. Tots were dryer than my dryer sheets. Tasteless. Try harder.

Ordered pretty late at night around 2am for some post-bar food. It was ready in ~15-20 min which isn't bad! We ordered on our walk there. The price was a bit much for me .... $15 for the chicken parm calzone ? I believe thats what I ordered. The food definitely served its purpose in the sense that it was food I needed at that time and filled me up. The chicken was just okay! Ive had DP dough before and it was really great so this experience was so-so. Again, it did the job, I was full after, but nothing too special with my meal. I'd be open to trying again and seeing but not super impressed as of now

This is the only DP Dough location I've ever visited. And I don't think they've ever really disappointed me. Calzones are always consistently tasty. And HUGE. I mean typically I'd probably only eat one half unless I'm pretty buzzed. I love their bbq chicken calzone. It's typically my go to. For this most recent visit however I tried the chicken and bacon calzone and it was still so good. I usually get delivery so I don't worry about a wait. I have gone in on a late night/early morning though when they were have had quite the wait. But this is expected. The staff seems pretty calm and professional. I'd definitely recommend this place for your calzone fix.

D.P. Dough has come to Columbus. I used to love this shit. They're most common in smaller college towns. It's not far from the OSU campus. They deliver real late too. I like calzones so D.P. Dough is the shit. It seriously has over 50 kinds. There's meat and vegetable varieties. It ranges from the sloppy meaty ones covered in thick sauces to more healthier vegetarian options. The calzones are about $5 to $7. It's best ones all seem to be with the pizza sauce. There's also the build your own option where you can choose a few toppings. I would get something delivered from D.P. Dough. It's kind of small to eat in. The delivery is fucking fast so that's good to take care of emergency munchies.

So the calzones at this place are very delicious & each have their own unique flavors. They're reasonably priced & are filling. The apple pie calzone for dessert is absolutely splendid & yummy in the tummy. However; my biggest gripe as of now is that I ordered a small order of tater tot's for $3 and the portion size was very underwhelming. The picture below is basically the portion size I got minus the 2 tots I ate before taking this pic.

Ordered Cheese Tots and there was hair in them also the service is horrible smells like shit in here and there is no bathroom and the tots where cold

Dp dough was a good choice for some late night grub. My girlfriend and I visited and tried a few items to see what flavors were being talked about. We started with the traditional calzone, the dough was fresh and tasty and the ingredients were cooked through. We also got a small order of their buffalo wings which had a good spice, simple Frank's red hot flavor and tons of sauce over them. Then got their cheesy tater tots, they satisfy the craving but nothing too exciting. The calzone is definitely the highlight as to why we came in the first place. We sat inside at one of the high tops facing the street, the order took a bit longer than expected so that was annoying. The place was clean and we walked here so I don't know about parking, but there are definitely street spots available.

Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... At the very least the pizza should have been hot.

The sandwich was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was delicious, and the pizza dough as the bread was such a unique touch that you really don't find at many Italian sandwich spots around Columbus. The pizza itself was just okay. As you can see from the picture, the toppings weren't distributed very evenly, so some slices had mostly sauce with barely any cheese while others had way more toppings and cheese but less sauce. I also wish the pizza had been cooked a little longer overall because it was pretty floppy and doughy. One thing that makes it tough is that once the movie starts, it's hard to go back and ask for changes or anything since the theater is packed and getting in and out of the seats feels disruptive. We'll definitely be back to Grandview Theater because we love the experience overall, but next time I'll probably stick to the sandwiches and popcorn and skip the pizza.

The kind of spot where you expect a solid beer and maybe some decent bar food. What you don't expect? One of the best Detroit-style pizzas of your life hiding behind a window in the back like some carb-based speakeasy. And when I say hidden, I mean hidden. No flashy signage. No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth. And that crust... that beautiful Detroit crust. Crispy edges with that caramelized cheese halo, but still chewy and pillowy inside. The textural contrast is what separates amateurs from legends -- and this? This was legend-level execution. Easily top 3 Detroit-style pizzas I've had. And that's not a casual statement. If you don't understand the life-altering power of true Detroit-style pizza, I regret to inform you... you have not been living. Go find the window in the back. Trust me.

This, Oval, Catfish Biff's, Ohio State, Tommy's, and I'm sure there were many more. We tried them all. Oval and Ohio State stick in the memory as not great. I liked Tommy's, but couldn't afford to go there (so had visiting family pay...) Don't remember anything about Adriatico's. But it turns out it opened towards the end of my days here, or maybe it was on the higher end price wise, so we didn't go often. Had time and was in the neighborhood so I came here. Not busy at one on a weekday. But, a steady stream. Service was excellent. The place is dark and warm and cozy. I wasn't in the mood for a sub and didn't see much love for it amongst the reviews. It happened to be Wednesday, Wings Wednesday, so I got 10 spicy garlic wings. And I got a personal pizza. They only do the thin crust with that. I got pepperoni and sausage, which seemed to be favorites. And the pepperoni and sausage were indeed very good. As was the pizza, although they advertise themselves as New York style and the crust was far too thick for that. It says thin crust, but maybe the extra thin is their New York? Didn't have a choice on a personal anyway. But the crust was good, the cheese was excellent. And had a great pull, which I should've taken a picture of since "cheese pull" seems to be trending right now. The sauce was good. And the meats were excellent. Large, thin pepperonis, perfectly cooked chunks of sausage. Arranged nicely on the pizza. They've clearly done this before. I polished it off. The wings were good, not great. They are big and meaty, and the sauce was good and just a touch spicy. But they weren't anything amazing. Definitely good enough if I were still a student. And reasonably priced. I would definitely come back for pizza, and maybe to try a sub. Parking can be rough, but wasn't bad on a weekday when school was in session. A certifiable, and well deserved, local classic.
