This place is my go to place to get my nails done! They're all so nice and sweet over there. They take you in right away and always do exactly what you want. Tino always does my nails and she always takes care of me. She always make sure to take time to pamper you but won't take too long. The location is very convenient because it's inside walmart and they always take walk ins. This place is very nice and very clean. I got a pedicure, asked for acrylics. She added length and didn't file anything down even after I asked, and to top it off within two days, seven of the nails fell off! Will not ever be going back to this place, definitely don't recommend. read more

Don't remember who my nail tech was but she was an older lady. She started filing down my nails and destroyed my shape and left me with no length. She never asked me what shape I wanted and never said she was going to take down the length, "only file a little bit". After filing my nails were uneven and afterwards when I asked her to fix them she said my nails were too short so she couldn't file them anymore. *i wonder why they're so short. Her hands were unsteady throughout and the sides of my gel polish were on my finger and she didn't even bother to correct it. Needless to say, this establishment is a wasted of both my time and my money. Don't bother coming here just out of convenience. read more

I think there horrible at there job especially the lady that did my nails she was being very harsh, didn't do what I had showed her and she made me bleed on the side of my nail. There nail polish quality sucks, its not the best quality, they also have bad customer service, very rude and not gentle with nails. My nails didn't even last a week until right now one of them had a crack and it just fell off. don't recommend on going there. theres a better place near called angel nails read more

Got my nails done here and paid $50 for a full set. Ok customer service and reasonable prices but literally 1 week later all the nails just popped off! They must be using really low quality products. I walk into this place during lunch time okay it's busy I get it. I waited till they acknowledged or at least greeted me didn't get a peep. So I kindly had to get the first technicians attention to ask how long it would be I was told 15 minutes. I grabbed a few items from Walmart. Well 15 minutes later sitting on the bench there turned into 25 minutes. No sorry we will be right with you nothing. This place sucked they weren't friendly to me but they sure we're with their regular that apparently had an appointment. Thanks for wasting my time! Love Tea!!!! My friends recommended her to me and after my first visit with her, I'll def be going back to her! It's not the best place to get your nails done, but if you're a college kid on a budget then you should def come here bc their prices are so affordable! Tea was really great with meeting my expectations and she tries her best to give you the results you want. I also went back to her after a day bc I needed to have my nails reshaped (I was going to see my mom and she doesn't like coffin shape acrylics) so Tea filed them down into natural almond shapes --free of charge! Who would've thought there would be such a nice nail salon located inside of a Wal-Mart? Da Vi Nails has to be one of my favorite nail salons in San Diego. They take their time to pamper you without being too long. Most of the other nail salons that I have been to the polish will chip in a matter of days, with this nail salon I can go easily a month and still look good! Would definitely recommend checking this place out, especially if you're already on your way to Wal-Mart! read more

I have been looking forward to getting my nails done, had been two weeks. Called ahead to make sure if I needed an appointment or not, told to come on in. I got Tea who seemed pleasant at first but there were problems. She told me she is too short to do hand manicure sitting, so I said fine. Out of 10 nails 6 did not get cuticle cut like I requested. I had to redo them when I got home. On pedicure it was ok not bad or great but ok. If you want anything outside of just water in the container you have to pay extra. Never ran into that before. They get you with lots of charges, if you ask for what is normal at other salons. Nail color selection is not great, would suggest bring your own color in. She had asked me about my background and then kept interrupting me to tell me about her brothers job which he did not like, his boss telling him to do jobs that are not part of his job, blah, blah, blah, and ramdon topics that are not appropriate unless she is with her pals. I am just there to get nails done and relax. I don't think she knows how to make small talk and wants to get into it with customers, I did not notice anyone being disrespectful at the salon, and most just there to get nails done and go about their day. Seems more focused on her topics, watching the clock and pushing higher services even if you state you are there for basic manicure and pedicure. Would think about going back but not to her. Maybe someone else there can be more pleasant. Might go back and retry this place in time. read more

I always thought when you got a manicure they did little things like clean under your nail & put lotion on your hands. Not here. I paid $30 for a manicure with the gel polish. It took the guy & 75 min to remove polish, cut nails & cuticles, file, and polish. That's it no hand massage or lotion. I still have gel polish on my cuticles & the skin around it as well as under my nails. Aside from asking if it was my first time he did not say to words at me but grunted when he wanted me to change hands. On top of this the place was not clean. As I set I noticed all kinds of finger nail clippings on the ground around. Piles of dust (from grinding nails) under the surrounding stations. It would be one thing if the place had been crazy busy however all 4 workers were sitting talking (no customers should have been my first warning). I for sure will not be back. read more

This salon is inside of WalMart. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and was greeted immediately. I waited less than 5 minutes for a mani/pedi. Salon was very clean and the staff were all friendly. Prices were straight forward and I was not pressured for "extras". The technician took her time and did a great job. To be honest, I had very low expectations of this place being. This place sucks! It does not even deserve a 1 star! I've been here twice; the first time I had a pedicure done, and thought the quality and service deserved an "ok", I walked away thinking it was a bit pricey compared to others...yet, I returned a 2nd time for a peducre and full set...this time, I left the place FURIOUS!! Two ppl worked on me, one for the pedi and one for the full set. The lady that did the full set was fine (but the line was LONG!!). I've never had to wait that long and find no place to sit and let my nails dry afterwards cuz it was so packed. Now, this is what ticked me off...the lady that did my pedi...she was an older lady...very slow and gentle with everything...she didn't scrub the heels like others would, but gently "patted" them...didn't do the leg massage, wouldn't cut my in-grown nails like I told her to (kept telling me not to cut it, even after I INSIST...she finally chipped a bit off only to show that she did some work). THEN when all is done, she couldn't even put the nail polish on!! She had to call the lady that did my fullset to come and put the polish on my toes! WTF?! She made me wait for that lady to finish someone else's nails to come back and paint my toes...I was so pissed sitting there waiting...I didn't give her any tips...and I told the owner afterwards how horrible the experience was...naturally the owner wasn't too happy and just brushed me off...I'm never going back to this place again, ever! read more

Worse place- EVER to get your nails done. I never intended to try out this place but it always seem so busy every time I went to Walmart to pick up something. So, stupid of me to even think for a second to try out this place, i DID. Totally regret it. The guy who helped me had no idea of what he was doing. He rushed through it, clipped my nails too deep, nails came out uneven, and kept insisting that I get a design or powder for the french tips when I kindly told him that I didn't want it, multiple times. (So rude, and So desperate for more money). To those who posted before me, I'm glad they're taking care of you (or hopefully they are still). But my experience was pretty recent, perhaps just about a month ago. My advice, if you aren't a long term customer of theirs, do not waste your time and money here. They will not welcome you with a genuine service, but try to milk you until you get a pedi with what you came for, or something they could think of. read more

I have been going there for years. Tino always does a great job on the nails, and is willing to do the crazy and special "each nail is different" designs for me anytime. The prices are more than fair. My nails and hands require extra effort, since I do work on my own cars (yes, a female works on cars) and they can be pretty rough. But they always look great when Tino gets finished. I have recommended this place to many perple with confidence. read more

I love this Nail Salon! The people who work at the salon always have smiles that greet you and make you feel welcome. I have referred my family and friends to Da-Vi Nails and they have become regulars too! I'm a clean freak and I love that the pedi spas are so luxurious and CLEAN! It's refreshing to go to a salon that doesn't have back -stabbing where one person is trying to steal a client from another. It's refreshing to relax and talk without any vicious gossiping. I'd like to respond to the negative comment made on 3/19/14. If you ever get pregnant, you will find out how difficult it is when your baby is putting pressure on your bladder. In addition, how would you know if she washed her hands in the Walmart restroom? Did you follow her? I ask you this because she has always practiced sanitary habits when I've been at the salon. Disgusting is the only suitable word. The girl doing my pedicure started doing my toes with dirty gloves on! I didn't notice at first because I was having my nails worked on as well. When I looked down I realized she had one yellow glove on and one with red polish on. The nail tech tried to say it was from my toe nail polish. Mind you I had grey toe polish on. I asked her to change her gloves out and she replaced the one with the polish and tried to keep the dirty yellow one on. I had to ask her to replace both. She reluctantly did so. I went through with the pedicure only because she had already started but I won't be stepping foot in this dirty place again! read more

I go here every month. The workers are delightful people. Of course they want you to buy more--they probably work on commission. They always take great care of me. I get mani/pedi regularly. I am planning to visit Vietnam and taking language lessons and Tino tests me every time. Lovely flowers on your toes and a flag for 4th of July. My friends have come back after trying it once. Some of the ladies are still learning English but there is always someone to help and they try very hard. read more

I started going here (Da-Vi Nails at Walmart on Shawline) because I read a great review about it here on Yelp over 2 years ago! I loved it the first time I went & still love it there now! The review I read recommended John as a good nail technician. I've always been very choosy & meticulous about my nails! I had been going to another fairly adequate salon for years but felt like I needed a change. And I'm sooooo glad I went to Da-Vi Nails! John is an absolutely fantastic nail tech! I always love how my nails look & feel! His technique is excellent! Now my nails look so much better than they did at my old salon where they were always breaking & chipping! I seriously ALWAYS get compliments from people I don't know at all!! I always get a pedicure when I'm there & all the girls do a great job & are very friendly.
