Okayish service. Not the best in town. I was here for a quick pedicure since I was in a rush to get somewhere. The nail colors they use are not the best quality, they will last you 3-4 days tops. On thing that set me off was that, the lady doing my pedicure had a cold and she would repeatedly take out her already overused paper napkin and wipe her nose and with those same dirty hands she would get back to touching my feet. I shop at this WalMart all the time, but this is the first time I tried the nail salon. I was lazy and decided to do my shopping and get a pedicure in case things shutdown again. Let's just say I regret being lazy (go figure right lol). I hate places that don't use the plastic liner for the pedi bowl. Whether it protects well or not, it gives me a peace of mind and indicates the level of thought the salon has. This place doesn't use liners and I was squirmy, praying I'm overreacting. I asked the lady to wipe down my chair. She didn't, reasoning that they always wipe after each client. Okay so you don't use pedi bowl liners and your staff don't wear gloves. C'mooooon. How am I supposed to trust that? The plastic divider that is supposed to be a barrier between the technician and customer also seems a little too high. Their sign in sheet also has a column labeled "Temperature." Indicating that they take client temps before they enter. No they didn't take my temperature. Unfortunately for me I'm one of those people that after I commit, I have to finish...even if I don't like it. So my lady isn't wearing gloves. Doesn't say hello. And she doesn't offer any packages. I had intended to get a nice package with callus remover. Let's be real...COVID feet are no bueno. But I don't request any additional service info because... well, at this point I just want to get out of here. This place is cash only. I pay for the basic pedi and even tip. No one says 'thank you, have a good day.' .....Yeah I'm not coming back here. I'll probably go to my usual place at the end of this week and get a proper callus remover. For now, I'm going home to shower and disinfect my feet. And maybe burn my clothes. Hah! read more

Anne was such a great technician but it was the formula they used that was flawed. My nails cracked and had so many air bubbles!! IN LESS THAN A DAY. You get what you pay for...$14 and I tipped $5. I would've gladly paid for more to have it done better.. I might have to go back and ask them to take it off.. that's how ugly they look or I'll just take them off. Back in the days, in my early 20s, I used to shop at Wal-mart. And to make things easy, I would come here and get a pedi. Now, I always thought I had a good job, since the lady who cut my nails always paid attention to details, cut all the cuticles properly. Since then, I've gone for comfort and relaxation as well as a good cut, and therefore have moved on to greener pastures. But when greener pastures is closed for the night and you're badly in need of a pedicure, bam! I came here 7:30PM, asked if they didn't mind taking a late customer. Not only did they take me, but they did a great job for being late. She cut all my cuticles, removed sooooo much grossness from my calloused feet (she had to use two scrub rocks both sides!), and she did the prettiest design on my toes. Only two nail techs know what they are doing. I went today and had to use a different girl. She was rushing so much that she cut 2 of my fingers. She didn't clean up the excess product, nail polish was placed unevenly and messy. I asked several times for them to clean it up. She would clean up a small area then say ok done. They also made my toes bleed during the pedicure. If you're going use the lady that is in the corner or the lady straight in front of her. The other ladies are awful. read more

Da-Vi nails is located in the Wal-Mart on Shawline. I can't say much for their nail care (I do my mani/pedis myself), but it looks pretty standard for a basic nail shop, run by Vietnamese techs. They have the big chairs with whirlpool tubs for your pedicures, and do acrylics. I am a regular customer for their eyebrow waxing -- there is only one lady on staff that does it (I believe she is the owner?) -- and she is fantastic. For only $9 you get a great waxing -- she pays close attention to giving you an attractive eyebrow shape, and is always very careful with the post-wax tweezer clean-up. Since I found her (on a friend's recommendation) in 2008, I haven't seen anyone else! One star less for some inconvenience and lack of a really relaxing atmosphere (it is in the entrance of a Wal-Mart, after all) -- although they take reservations, I've never tried -- usually just stopping by and seeing if she can fit me in. read more

It was definitely an amazing job on my nails. I took off a star though because the nail artist who was working on me originally put on the wrong color. It wasn't until she was putting on the final coat of clear gel polish that she asked her coworker if she used the right color. Turns out, she didn't, which I knew, but she still thought it was right. So I was going to just deal with it. However, I told her I wanted the pink to be more present, so she ended up finding the right one. Other than starting off on the wrong foot, everything was great. I'm definitely going to go back when I need a change of color or a fill. Their prices are pretty decent too, for the outstanding quality service they give. read more

I've stopped by here as a "oh shit walmart PLUS nail place in one spot? hell yea convenience!" I've gotten a spa manicure+pedicure for I forget how much, but I remember it was pretty cheap. Probably to be consistent with all the Walmart shoppers ha ha no offense intended The chairs and water bath is not as comfortable as some of the other salons, but i mean you get what you pay for. Its not bad, just mediocre. I like how they do my nails and my french manicure actually stayed on for about a week straight with no chips. Pretty good! Theres one guy that works there and hes kinda rough - so just wait for a lady to do it. Nowadays ever since my new gel craze I've been only coming here to get my eyebrows waxed. The VERY nice lady Jenny here is extremely good at waxing your eyebrows. She is also very nice and seems to always ask me if I'm Vietnamese (hopefully she doesn't talk shit when I say no) since she doesn't remember me. But I love the way she does my eyebrows and she is very quick and professional with it. It didnt hurt at all! I won't say names but this place is a rip off. The lady who did my nails was pregnant (not a good look) she kept having to stop to pee. One of her trips she did NOT wash her hands I had to request that she did so before going back to work on my nails. First everything was going good until the actual powder process started (besides me asking her to clip and push back my cuticles and her completely ignoring the request..) she will not place powder all the way to the top of the nail bed. Nor did she go to the top or completely placing nail polish on the sides of my nails. Now the design was half ass done and rushed and the other part of the design did not resemble the zebra pattern at all (it was diagonal lines). The cheetahs design was on point. Lastly we come to the gel part....AGAIN she did not put the gel all the way to the top of my nail bed... so basically since I've spoken to others who have come here and refuse to come back due to all the craziness, they Make your nails look nice but like you already need a fill even tho you just got them done. eyebrow wax - 5 stars! For just $9 you can get a great eyebrow wax. I forgot the name of the lady who did mine but she was the younger one out of the two women there. She pays close attention to detail and really takes her time with tweezers at the end. It's definitely a no-frills kind of salon-they seat you in a corner of the salon in an office chair. I really don't mind it though, especially because she does such a great job! nails - 3 stars The reason why I give 3 stars is because the facilities are not as clean as other salons Ive been to, like Nails 2000 plus(my usual place). I paid $28 for Shellac and a little after a week I began seeing air bubbles under some portions of my nails which usually means that they will chip! Shellac usually lasts me at least a solid two weeks. I think I'll be back again for eyebrows but might consider other salons for my nails. read more
