Didnt even know they had opened one in Alhambra til I drove by and saw it! I ordered 4 drinks online for pickup; parking was pretty full in that plaza so I had to park on the street but it was a short walk still. My drinks were ready upon arrival: 2 Banana lattes, (one 30% sweet and one half sweet), a Lychee Jasmine Green tea and one Coconut slush. The coconut slush was really good; I ordered it half sweet and it was perfect. It had some coconut flakes in the drink as well which added some texture. The jasmine lychee was pretty standard as other boba places, but they do add whole lychees in the tea which is nice. The banana latte was also really good; this one is one of those drinks you drink without a straw cause the banana cream was so thick, perfect for sipping from the cup. I started liking their Einspanner Cream Coffee cold brewed. Creamy and Bold flavors. This is their new location and it looks pretty nice inside with chairs and tables. Plenty of parking at the front. Was excited to try this place since I heard great reviews about it! I got the sesame matcha latte since I've never had it before and I love both of them separately. The sesame cold foam was delicious and the matcha was good, but more on the bitter side. I prefer my matcha to be more on the sweet side so I enjoyed it but didn't love the drink. I have been drinking Da Vien since the Rosemead location opened and was mostly driving there every Monday - Friday before work to get coffee for myself and / or the office. Then the Alhambra location opened this year and I decided to give it a shot. Literally, I only come here because of Mikko. He is so pleasant and friendly that he makes you feel like family. He makes sure that my drinks are accurate and ensures that they are packaged well either in the cup holder with bag or in the 2 bag carrier. (One time the Rosemead location did not provide the plastic bag around the drink carrier and sure enough the drinks spilled on my white seats.) The Alhambra location will ALWAYS put the drink carriers in plastic bags. I have told my coworkers about Mikko and this location so this is now the only Da Vien we go to, literally because of Mikko. I don't even live nearby but sometimes on the weekends if I am craving a delicious marble drip 30% with einspanner cream or a coconut matcha sub ube cream, I will do the drive just to get it. Came here for the Grand Opening at around 11isham and of course there were no more goodie bags but they still handed out a free drink voucher but you can't redeem it that day. New location in Alhambra! I loved the matcha latte (I got it 30% sweet with whole milk) for a pick me up before work. It was a pleasant experience as it is a new location and the interior is brand new. You can order through the cashier or the kiosk. They also have breakfast options such as a breakfast croissant (deal going on right now) and variety of drinks. The staff was friendly and although it's a new location, there were plenty of customers in the morning. The matcha itself tasted like more of a uji type of profile - more vegetal, grassy and although this is not my go to matcha style, I was impressed at how they got their proportions right. Usually in a standard cup of matcha, proportions can be off (I.e. too much milk/less matcha powder used), but for a standard cup for $6, it was the perfect proportion for me and they did not cheap out on the matcha powder at all. I love going to the Da Vien on Bolsa and was very hesitant to try a new store that just opened down the street from my house, but I finally decided to give the store a try a week or two after grand opening and I can say I love the drinks it was made perfectly and the store is clean. I was volunteering at the school, and it was cold so I got my drink without ice, so I understand not all coffee places are like 7 Leaves and able to fill the drink to the top, but not only was my drink only about 70% full, there were no layers, and it didn't look like the photo at all.
