I always get the ube cream coffee and it's everything you could want - super strong, sweet, and good ube flavor. Recently I discovered the coconut matcha and it's my new favorite thing! It's matcha foam on top of fresh coconut water. It's surprisingly a very refreshing and delicious combo when the flavors mix together. I was originally apprehensive at first but don't worry, it tastes nothing like the artificial sunscreen coconut flavor. Such a popular coffee shop from the OC that is now in 626. It wasn't busy in the afternoon and I made a short stop for a pick me up. I ordered the Coconut Matcha ($6.50) and the husband got the Marble Drip ($5.50). I love the flavor combinations, which worked so well together. Da Vien is right next door to Bake & Che. I have been wanting to try both shops since their soft opening this past June 2025. Both were open on Thanksgiving Day 2025 so here I am. My curiosity always gets me asking questions. This time is no different. So what does "Da Vien" mean and how is it pronounced? Well, it is a Vietnamese term for "ice cube" and it is prounouced as how it is spelled. Now we know. Thanks! I came here around 4 PMish. They were extremely super busy even on a holiday. It was very crowded. Nice and comfy setting. Some inside seating with no specific outside seating unless they share the outside seating that are right in front of Bake & Che. There is some empty outside space in front of Da Vien that could be used for potential seating. Two all gender restrooms for use which is convenient. No key code required which is great. There is one self-ordering kiosk and one counter. I chose the counter because I wanted to ask some questions about their coffee LOL. Young gentleman who took my order was pleasant and very helpful. Thank you kiddo! They are a coffee shop so there are more coffee drink variations than other types. Matcha and ube are in the mix somehow. Limited fruit drinks. I understand the hype with Da Vien! I've been twice now and tried both their black sesame and banana matcha drinks and both were delicious and made with quality ingredients. The flavors were rich without being overly sweet, which I really appreciate. The atmosphere is super clean and inviting, and the team was really nice. Sip it or drink it thru a straw, either way, you won't be disappointed. Small strip mall parking or parking on side streets is usually available. A few tables outside if you want to drink outside and people watch as the foot traffic is high. Quick and efficient service as you can order at the kiosk or with the person at the counter. Da Vien Coffee is HYPED! It's hyped for all the good reasons. This is the closest location outside of Orange County. The drink selections all look amazing from everyone's pictures. Da Vien Coffee was soo good we made the trip to come by two days in row! The location has a self serve kiosk and you can also order at the counter. There's a decent amount of tables to hang out. The location can get pretty busy pending the time of day. The staff were welcoming and cordial and very knowledgeable on the menu items. Da Vien has an app for rewards which I would recommend since you can accumulate points. I have tried the Ube Matcha Latte and the Sesame Matcha Latte. They only come in one size. My wife usually gets the Sesame Latte. Quick note: oat milk subs are .50¢. One major positive is they serve the drinks fast. The drinks are vibrant and colorful. The sesame latte is quite nice, with a strong black sesame flavor and is also sweet and goes well with the coffee flavor. It's hard to find a place that dos a good black sesame latte as usually they just put black sesame and milk and call it a day. Walking in, the store is pretty small. There is like only one large table and a few small tables. I wanted to study there so it was a little disappointing. I sat at the large table near the door. This is important to note for later. I got their egg drop coffee. It was pretty good, but the coffee is definitely strong. The top was salty and had a good flavor. I mixed it together, but the coffee was definitely too strong for me. I would probably ask for less shots of coffee next time. It is a terrible place to go study. Especially at the one big table. Don't do it. Every time someone walks in, the AC above the door blasts. It would be fine if like it was a few seconds for each customer. But no. The customer leaves the door open so the AC just keeps on loudly blasting. Its so loud that the workers would try to call out orders and people can't hear. Honestly it was annoying to keep going to the door and closing it. Right when you close it someone else walks in and it is just left wide open. An endless suffering cycle. Great place for strong coffee. They were kind enough to let me try the egg foam they make before i ordered their egg coffee over cold brew. The egg foam is sweetened light and fluffy. Ive gone to other places where it's super thick and ends up on the bottom of the cup. Theirs stays afloat and makes the coffee lighter when you mix it in.
