Da Vien Coffee is known for its high-quality coffee beans imported from Vietnam and brewed using traditional slow-dripped methods. Signature drinks we tried were: Egg Cream Iced Coffee, Ube Iced Coffee, Banana Cream Iced Coffee. ALL ARE EXCELLENT DRINKS! It's hard to pick a favorite drink to recommend. I was kind of sort of near the area early morning. Found this spot and was immediately drawn to the matcha cream coffee. Stopped by and ordered precisely that. Service was great. Interior is lovely, almost looks like a spa (haha). There was also a very small area where there were couches, making it look even more like a spa. Only thing missing was magazines on the table lol. HOWEVER, i was hungry and the ham and cheese croissant was around 4-5 dollars... for a croissant the size of 3/4 of my HAND.. and i have a small hand! Ever since Da Vien opened less than 2 months ago, I always pass by and see a bunch of people inside and outside of the store. Even though I am not a coffee person, I felt like I had to check this place out. I have already been multiple times to try different drinks. I like that the menu has both coffee and non-coffee options. Some of the drinks are pretty good, but I did not find anything to be mindblowing. My main critique is that they put way too much ice in the cups. Even when asking for less ice, it seems that they still add a lot of ice. In addition, I am not a fan of the open lids. I would prefer if the lids for the cups could be fully sealed. From my favorite to least favorite drinks: Banana Matcha Latte - The banana cream is surprisingly nice and velvety and works well with the matcha blend. Peach Tea - This peach green tea is quite refreshing. I like the peach slices and peach bits included in the drink. Matcha Cream Coffee - The Vietnamese coffee tasted pretty strong and overpowered the matcha cream in my opinion. I wish I tasted more of the matcha. Egg Cream Coffee - Maybe it is just not my personal preference, but I wasn't a fan of their signature, velvety egg cream. To avoid any waiting, I would suggest ordering on the app ahead of time. Atmosphere was okay but the hype of this new coffee shop kinda dampened it. I came on a hot afternoon and it was bloody packed like sardines by young female students of Asian decent. I perused their menu and decided to try their Da Vien Coffee (iced) @$6 usd with cream on top. It was strong, sweet and smooth. However, my drink was disappointing because it was riddled with 70% cubed baby ice than the actual coffee liquid itself. Basically, after five sips of my drink it was utterly gone quickly. I feel like it didn't even reached my tummy. Parking lot is limited but plenty of street parking. Staff were affable and competent. Prices were fair. Quality was good. On the way back from the mall, I still wanted to try Da Vien, so we returned at 6:00pm. We rush inside the coffee shop and order our drinks because there is no waiting. While I was taking photos around the shop, our drinks were ready in less than 5 minutes! Most coffee places that serve Egg Cream Coffee have only one size and do not allow you to customize the sweetness. But Da Vien Coffee may modify the sweetness and even the size of the cup. I've passed by Da Vien plenty of times every week and I always see tons of people so I had to give it a try. Parking is free and plentiful, it's in a pretty busy plaza so watch out for space. Alternatively, there's street parking and neighboring plazas to accommodate. My partner and I got the matcha banana latte & the peach tea. As a huge matcha fan, the matcha banana latte disappointed me, the drink itself is a solid 3/5. Most matcha drinks are pretty good when it comes to the duration state of the matcha, but for Da Vien, the oxidation of the matcha made my drink a lot more bitter than usual. Flavor wise, it's very sweet despite a lower sweetness option, the bitterness overpowered the rest of the ingredients but I would definitely try it again with other adjustments. The Peach tea is also a hit or miss. Similar to the matcha banana latte, it was also very sweet despite the sweetness level adjusted. However, it's pretty refreshing especially on a hot day so that's a plus for the drink. Wait times was about 20 minutes which is understandable because it's pretty busy. Staff was pretty fast & professional, a plus on my end. A plus to Da Vien is the online ordering, perfect to order ahead & pickup to avoid longer wait times ordering in person. Their hours are 6am-10pm now Placed my online order at 6:45am and picking it up was so easy and convenient! Arrived at 7am and it was completely empty and my drinks were ready! Got the Egg Coffee ($6) with less ice & 30% sweet. The egg cream was so creamy and not too sweet. The coffee was so strong but not too bitter!
