DELICIOUS donuts! Came here very early in the morning to pickup donuts for my sister's wedding. I got a couple of maple bars, regular glazed, chocolate glazed, maple glazed, chocolate cake, and donut holes. The donuts were so airy and fluffy! The glaze was perfectly sweet on each of the donuts. It wasn't at all too greasy. You can tell they bake them fresh, it was so yummy. I bought a little too many, so it lasted us a few days after the wedding. But I will say, they still tasted awesome even after 2 days. They had such a large selection of flavors, so I want to come back to try them all! I have lived in the San Ramon Area since 1990. I have frequented Dainty Donuts every other day in the past as it was on my way to work. The donuts were always fresh and Tasty. I often bought a dozen or two for my Staff at work; they absolutely loved it. I suggest they change the name from Dainty to Tasty. I take my Grandkids there every time they come visit or stay over. All of them love the donuts and especially the sprinkles and the donut holes. The two original owners have retired recently; they passed their business onto their relatives who continued the tradition. Dainty Donut is so popular now that they run out of donuts by 11:00AM often. Like I used to, many people order dozens for work and/or for Friends and Family. I read some of the negative reviews and was very surprised to see some people describe the owners as rude, unfriendly etc. I have never experienced this in the 28 years I have been a customer. They treat me and my Grandkids with big smiles and love. If you have had a bad experience before, I urge you to visit the store again and let the owners know directly; they are looking for feedback and wish to do right by their customers. read more

We were craving donuts in COVID times, and Dainty Donuts satisfied that craving while operating safely. There were signs requiring face coverings and the door was propped open. The nice woman who helped used tongs to prepare our order of six donuts, which she packaged in a big paper bag. A half hour until closing on a Wednesday afternoon, they had lots of cake donuts, a few buttermilk old fashioneds, and some crullers left. This is a great place to pick up donuts. It is hidden, but the recent addition of the Tesla and other electric car charging stations brought me here. The staff or really friendly and the service is fast. The place is also clean and they offer all the favorite donuts. But they also bake their own items. They make a batch of these delicious croissants! They are large 4-times bigger than a donut, and if you didn't know croissants are lower in calories that a donut because they don't have as much sugar. We went here to celebrate the kids' last day of school/last day of distance learning! It's long been a favorite of ours (best doughnuts in the area!) I was so happy to see the adjustments they made for SIP - the very kind woman who helped us (I think the owner) had her mask on, and they've installed plexiglass along the length of the counter so it's between workers and customers. I have been going to Dainty Donuts for 20 years! The owners are super sweet, they always remember me and my kids...I guess that's expected after 20 years though. Most importantly, their donuts are the best. Not that I make it a habit of getting donuts later in the morning (or getting donuts at all), but the last couple times I went, it was after 10am, and they still had a fresh selection. There's nothing worse than breaking down and deciding you're going to have a donut and you arrive to a bear claw, 3 plain cake donuts, one of those frosted ones with peanuts on top and 2 custard-filled chocolate bars. They still have lots to choose from if you can't make it in before 7:30am. Their donuts never have the old grease taste and they always taste fresh out of the oven (fryer I suppose. Oven sounds better.) And they're "dainty," so there's less sugar and fewer calories....at least that's what I tell myself. Dainty Donuts is worth the occasional splurge! read more
