I always come here for their free cone day! The drive-through line gets crazy long, it even extends up to the street. Sometimes it is hard to find parking, and people park at the gas station nextdoor. Even though the line is long inside, the workers are very efficient at getting the free cone orders in. You can also ask them to dip your vanilla ice cream cone in a flavor. I usually get chocolate, but they had a new flavor, which was blue colored! read more

Worst Dairy Queen in the entire world. Drive thru couldn't speak English, had no idea what I was saying, didn't say thank you after I finally got my meal. I was in line for 40 minutes!!!! No way to exit because walls on either side and cars in front and behind. AWFUL. read more

Long line midday on a Wednesday afternoon, but worth the wait. Got a Snickers blizzard for myself and a strawberry milkshake for my mom and we were both very pleased. Went through the drive-thru so I don't know what it's like inside. read more

Feel like having your order messed up AND being insulted when you ask for it to be made correctly? That's what happened to me at this location. The employee Joe Martinez absolutely insisted that my blizzard was made right, but I couldn't find any of the heath candy in it, so I asked for it to be remade. Joe proceeded to yell at me, saying I must wear glasses because I'm blind. After insulting me, he walked off & it seemed like this must happen a lot because none of the other employees seemed to care. Save yourself the expense & go somewhere else read more

Went to get a peanut brittle crunch dipped ice cream cone because DQ National is advertising it. Was told that this location isn't doing that, but that I could get the peanut butter cookie dough party blizzard which has the peanut brittle crunch topping in it. Asked why they couldn't put the topping on the ice cream cone like DQ National is advertising, was told that's not what they do. Clarissa and Abigail were very helpful Abigail took our order, made sure to get my daughter's blizzard just right for her& let me pay first then comeback for desserts. I forgot to scan my app for points so I went back to counter & Clarissa explained I had wrong app. Told me it was specifically Dairy Queen, Texas app. So downloaded the right app & when I did I got a free blizzard. Again Clarissa explained the few blizzards I asked about, she told me the French Silk was ready good so that's the one I got AND I was able to get it as a large!! yUmMy . If you are thinking of going to DQ anywhere in San Antonio drive here. I have never been to a DQ this clean, fast and hospitable. They were really good with customer service. Me and the family ordered a difference ice cream. They all came out in less than 5 mins. The gentleman actually delivered them to the table. They were constantly cleaning the tables and floors. The first time I've been to any DQ anywhere where everyone was working. So stop into the Texas stop sign and get it here. read more

So it's been a long time I came to this DQ I must say lobby very clean I received great customer service. The food was good and hot the orders well organized. They kept coming out and whipping down tables and cleaning. It was quite clean everything you want for a dining in experience. I like to let people know when they have done a great job. Me and my husband travel to San Antonio so he can be seen at the VA hospital for his doctor's appointments once a week and the day we went to his appointment we stopped at the dairy Queen on Fredericksburg road and I must say we have never been treated so great and had the most personable customer service from this young woman that work there I believe her name she said is Michelle and I must say she treated us like we were a guest in her home checked on us as if we needed anything and threw the period of us being there having dinner and then dessert she continued to check on us to see if we needed anything and and we have never been treated like that before and I want to say that she is a wonderful asset to that store we will go and stop there again every week and hope to see her :-) again thank you Mary and Jim Southerland read more

the service is insane! the lady up front was so nice and helping a spanish speaking customer, when the manager counting cash at the register. the young lady asks the manager if he knows spanish and he says in a snappy and rude tone "no, ENGLISH only. i know you can speak english" while rolling his eyes. so disrespectful took so much to not say anything to this grumpy hating old man. read more

Regret stopping here, the memories of DQ a decade ago have slowly faded. There is absolutely 0 customer service, over an hour wait for an order that came out wrong, melted ice cream and missing items. Wait another 30 minutes to speak to anyone, then there is no manager so the person didn't even attempt to apologize, when asked for the manager she said he's there, I asked can you call him or her and she walked away. Absolutely disgusted, I won't be coming back and recommend you steer clear this location. It's absolute chaos, dirty and under staffed, the staff doesn't give a damn about people waiting for hours to get a melted blizzard or the wrong flavor. It's a disgrace, DQ should be ashamed. read more

First time at this DQ. I have to say that I am quite disappointed. It looks dirty and old when you walk in. They have a big sign advertising blizzard flavors by the register and were out of the first two I requested. On top of it all, once I got the Third flavor of choice. It was practically melted. 100% Health Score. I thought about it and I realized I had not been to DQ in 20 years or more! I had a coupon book I bought from some mom for her kid's fundraiser and it had a coupon for a free Hunger Buster Combo with purchase. Even though it is the medical center there was some riff raff like a previous reviewer said, including a possible heroin addict who came in and asked for a spoon then left to a waiting vehicle. I asked if I could upgrade the coupon to a Belt Buster which has two patties. The cashier asked and the manager agreed with no fuss. It is a typical mass public franchise with pit stop feel to it but it was as clean as could be. The burger was good. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Ordered through DoorDash but it was completely wrong. Took the food back to ask for a remake or refund and manager Gino refused and blamed food made wrong on the DoorDash driver. He wouldn't even look at the food and kept saying it's DoorDash's problem. People next to me asked what happened and when I told them the manager threatened to call the cops for slander. Third time they've got the order wrong. I will not be going back to this location. read more

I'm a fan. I live within walking distance from this DQ (but I still drive because I am lazy) and whether it's drive through or eating there in person, it's always fast and convenient. I always get something with chili and cheese on it, whether it's the hot dog or the fries. If I've been feeling extra bad, I'll get a small blizzard or an Oreo shake. These are the things I grew up eating, so it's nice to enjoy that nostalgia, though I try not to eat here often because it's fast food and I want to try to eat better most of the time. Service is usually pretty good. They tend to do better in person than through drive-thru. If I need a super inexpensive meal, I have no qualms stopping by here for a good deal. read more

I've had dairy queen all over Texas and I have to say that this location has NEVER messed up my order. They are pretty busy so I would avoid if you're in a hurry. Also the drive-thru is next to a gas station so it can be hard to get in line or or Fredericksburg road. But overall, the food is good. read more

It is not worth the time, or energy, to buy food from this store. When they mess up your order you are stuck with it. At least when dealing with Edward. I bought a burger later in the evening. When i got home I found out that my order was wrong. I called and spoke with Edward. I told him it would be the next day to bring the receipt by for a corrected order. He told me to bring the receipt when I came in the next day. I did just that on my way home from work. He told me that without some part of the order (in addition to the receipt) there was nothing he would/could do. The moral of the story is:1) either stand at the counter and make sure that they did not screw up your order; or 2) save yourself the hassle and time AND GO TO ANY OTHER RESTAURANT, of which there are many in the area to this store. Edward lost my business and anyone else's that I can affect. read more

I don't live in the area, but this DQ is slightly closer to me than the other. So I frequent for my fix of Steak Fingers. I'll probably start going to the other one. After telling a management that there was a man next to the drive through panhandling they just shrugged it off. He even had a baby and was trying to sell candy, soda, and various items from the convenience store next door. He was clearly half out of it with drugs. This was more than just intoxication. read more

Great food at this location, although I can say in my opinion I think the food here got smaller over the years or I grew up. Other than that, the lobby is very clean and I feel so comfortable eating there the staff here does a fantastic job every single time I roll through. Just recently went for a blizzard and the cashier even flipped the cup upside down which was a neat little showboat of a trick at the end, I wasn't expecting that which kind of made me chuckle and I never really do at a drive-thru. I was craving a milkshake and Dairy Queen is on my way home. It was a mistake. The blizzard, Strawberry with chocolate flakes, had no strawberry flavor. It taste like a very sweet vanilla milkshake with chocolate flakes. I also ordered a hamburger, the patties were okay, but what ruined it for me was that the bun was covered with raw, powered flour. It gave the bun a dry, powdery, sour taste that spread over the meat and lettuce, also covered my fingers then the fries and onion rings. After two bites, I douldn't eat anymore. It was a waste of time and money. I spent over $17 and the only thing I ate was the milkshake after I washed my hands. This experience tells me why the place was empty on a very hot Sunday afernoon. read more

I was expecting the normal experience. Come in, order, eat. We received much better. Staff was friendly and not in a rush, even though the drive threw was packed. Went to DQ tonight for a treat and noticed a long line but still wanted to wait! I also noticed a new huge sign stating "Now Hiring," which could've explained the slow moving line. The line was taking a while which bothered some people (some cars left), but if you haven't been to this location, just know it gets packed at peak hours like after dinner. So be considerate of the workers during this time as they are currently short staffed. I am leaving a 5 star review because both my Choco Brownie Extreme blizzards were PERFECT and mixed very well! That's all I ask for when I go to DQ. Kudos to the crew working tonight. read more

The associate was friendly, the menu was clear, and the store was clean with plenty of seating. After ordering, you're given a number and your food is delivered right to your table. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes. The burger tasted great, though I felt like it was missing something (maybe a sauce). Overall, it was a good experience, and I definitely plan to visit again!

As a fellow citizen of H-town, we have a vibrant taco scene and I would put this place up there with some of my favorite spots I frequented in HOU. Each time I've been here, I've ordered between 8-9 tacos as they are each $2.50. I've gotten a combination of pastor, barbacoa, lengua, bistec, and cabeza. I can't really select a favorite cause they're all so delicious with the meats tender and juicy with a heaping sprinkle of onions and cilantro. Make sure you squeeze the lime on it and mix it with the radish/cucumber garnish they'll throw in there. And don't forget to throw on that green/red salsa they provide. Either eat there or get it to go (which is what I did). Fortunately the tacos travel well as they were still hot when I posted up at my hotel to grub. Don't be discouraged of the long line if you see one as it moves quick. You walk up and place your order, then pay afterwards. It's somewhat of an honor system but there is security present when I went there so that eased my concerns. For drinks, it's either soft drinks, water, or mineral water. No alcohol is served here so if you want margaritas/micheladas/beer, you'll have to go elsewhere for that. No doubt I'm returning next time I'm in SA. Viva Taquitos West SIDE!

I popped into the restroom, CLEAN AS ALWAYS, and as soon as I came out Gus recognized me again and let me know my shake was ready. In the only minute more I had to wait for my food I observed Gus kindly explaining the menu to a middle eastern family with a partial language barrier.
