My husband was craving Thai food one night and I had to oblige. Daisy Mint was recommended to me by a close friend, this is her go to place to satisfy her Thai craving. We ordered the chicken satay, drunken noodles with chicken, pad thai and steak salad. Pickup was simple and convenient and the employees were friendly! My only grievances with the food were that the chicken satay was a bit dry and tough to eat and the steak salad was bland. Steak salad from other Thai restaurants have cucumbers, red onions and tomatoes but this was just lettuce with steak on top. The sauce was good but it just didn't hit the spot. Tasted ok but sweet is all I tasted and they didn't give us lime on the side. Phad Thai usually tasted a little bit sour, but not this one for sure. - Daisy Noodle: 4/5. Tasted so good. It's basically medium size rice noodle with ground chicken red curry. Wouldn't hurt to get more chicken in it lol. We ordered to go and the soup was really really hot, which was excellent to mix with the noodle. I wish I had a slice of lime to squeeze a bit into my noodle, then it would be perfection. - Pineapple Fried Rice: 5/5. Very very good. Wouldn't change anything about this dish. - Honey Pork: 4/5. I ordered this because of other Yelpers' recommendation. Pork was tender and sweet. Would be great to eat with rice. Food is yummy, the place is cute, and on the main street of Pasadena (yet on the easier-to-park side of town). Pad Thai was delicious with chewy noodles and one of my favorites in town. We also tried Daisy Noodles -- rice noodles with red curry. I loved the creaminess of the curry! But there a strong herb or spice that was a bit off-putting to me. We prefer chicken, a white tasteless meat that allows us to flavor it any way we choose. In trying to describe duck meat two words keep coming to my mind "smooth mahogany." But today, I was craving the duck noodle soup and after having eaten it, it has given me the strength to craft this review. The duck noodle soup has 3 main ingredients in it, Chinese broccoli, noodles, and duck. It's simple in it's construction, but it's flavor is complex. Salty but sweet, oily but refreshing, meaty but light. What keeps it all together is the ever present flavor of duck. Located just a short walk from my condo is, what I think, the best Thai food restaurant in Pasadena. The restaurant may be small but it sure is big on flavorful food. Our geology department at Caltech has ordered many a catered lunch of student or faculty events for over 8+ years and they have always delivered on their food taste and quality. This time I treated myself. A friend gave me a $50 gift card so I decided on using it. So what did I order. The spice Daisy Wings, Chilies and Basil with Beef, Fried brown rice with Chicken and Pad Thai with Pork. I phoned in my order after I got off work on a Friday night. I was told that it would be ready in about 25 minutes. After waiting and then walking into the restaurant I was told my order will be out in about 10 minutes. There were about 4 other people waiting for their to-go orders. When my name was called all I had to pay out of pocket, with my gift card, was $12 plus tip. My order was heavy. This was a lot of food for the money. When I got to my condo I made myself a plate with a little of everything I ordered. I had never had their wings so I dug right into them first. The wing were juicy with the right amount of heat. Another item I had never ordered was their Chilies and Basil with Beef. Excellent. The beef was very tender and overall the whole dish was perfect with the peppers and basil. I've had their Pad Thai with chicken but I had never had it with pork and it was great. The pork was tender and flavorful. I think I like it better then with chicken but that just me. Finally the fried rice. I've had their fried rice but never with brown rice. It was perfect and so was the chicken that I ordered with the rice. So in my over then 8 years of happily eating and ordering their food I have never had a bad experience. The one and only thing I have never done is sit and eat in the restaurant and that will be next. I can hardly wait. So if you are planning to have them cater food at your party, event or you just want to come in for lunch or dinner, give them a call or walk in. This was the absolute worst Thai food I have ever had. Ordered two entrees and one soup. I hesitate to give negative reviews but the food was inedible. The only thing my husband and I were able to eat was some of the plain brown rice. So disappointing especially since this restaurant gets many good review. read more

I stopped by after a long drive from Valencia on a Saturday. The place was small and cozy. The service was efficient and professional. Waiters ensured our water cups were filled and did light table touches. I ordered the green curry with chicken, the drunken noodles with beef, and some sides of rice. The curry was well seasoned, good consistency, not watery, and had some of the freshest, crispest vegetables. The chicken was just ok, it relied on the curry and vegetables and just served as a protein in the dish. The drunken noodles with beef is great. I typically expect very low quality & unseasoned meat, but this one blew my mind. The beef was tender, perfectly seasoned, and went well with the drunken noodles veggies and spice. Oh yes, I ordered the noodles spicy and they definitely packed the heat. The drunken noodles also had some fresh, crispy vegetables which really satisfied my palate. Typically with curries, you may expect wilted, soft veggies, so just be mindful of this if you have an elderly person or you yourself cannot tolerate crispy, crunchy veggies. I was craving thai food pretty hardcore, and I realized that Daisy mint was open for takeout. I only got one order, but it was spectacular and hit my craving just right. I got pad see ewe, which was made very quickly and tied all nice and ready by the time I got there. It was a very nicely sized portion, enough for two of us, and the noodles were seasoned just right, texture was pillowy soft yet with the slightest chew, and the beef was nice and tender. I've been trying to look for a nice, almost smoky type of pad see ewe and this was exactly that. I'm so glad that I was able to find this spot, especially during a pandemic. I absolutely can't wait to try the other goodies at this place, and I look forward to the next time I order food from here! My absolute favorite Thai place! I came across this place on Yelp and gave it a try. When I first walked by, I wasn't sure if I was in the right place since it looks like a place for brunch, but don't be fooled. They have the best food! My boyfriend and I have 2 go-to dishes; pad see ew and Daisy Mint fried rice which is tom-yum flavored (as you can see, I get it EVERY time I go!) The fried rice has me craving it literally the next day! I love the sour tom-yum taste with the mushrooms. I've also tried the Spicy Spaghetti and Drunken Noodle (pad kee mao), which were both really delicious. I really have to say that this place has such amazing service. There were a few times that we waited about 15-20 minutes due to limited seating, but you're never really aware of that cause their service is so great. No matter how busy they are, they always greet you with a smile and your food is always out within 20 minutes! They are open during Covid times, so check them out! Stopped by Daisy Mint to try out their Thai food based on all of the other yelp reviews we had seen and Yelp did not lead us astray! It's a super cute little restaurant with a nice patio out back. Food: The food was good. We ordered the Thai iced tea and the milky green tea (milky green tea was surprisingly good -- it tastes like a blend of matcha and sweetened jasmine tea with half and half) as well as the cashew nut beef and the honey pork plate lunch specials. Both dishes were well done but we preferred the beef. Service: Our server was efficient and really nice about serving us even though they were closing for lunch in half an hour. Food came out quickly as well! Parking: There's a smaller lot in the back, so we were able to find parking (granted, we did go at 2:30 on a Saturday). Weeeee looooveeeeee daiiiisyyyyy miiiiiinnntttt!!!! :-) my guy and I recently got daisy mint and were so so taken by: -the tastiness of the pad Thai -the tenderness of the beef (pad see ew) -the portions (always have leftovers) -the deliciousness of the yellow curry (albeit, very garlicy which is my favorite as well as the bane of my gut's existence) -and the staff have been very good about safety precautions, their own safety gear, and having everything clean and easy to be picked up! They even have a sign on the door asking 1 person per party (i came with my guy) enter to do the pick up to best ensure there aren't more bodies inside than need be. After a long day of driving, the soul searched for some heart warming food and we landed at the doorsteps of Daisy Mint where we were met by nice smiling lady presumably the owner and she told us a table for 2 should be available soon. After waiting for 2 mins, she walked us to the table and we were determined to eat some lip-smackingly good Thai food. The ambience was serene with a lot of chatter and people really enjoying the food, we got excited. The food though was pretty average. I found the Mussaman curry to be a bit too sour for my taste but the Pad Kee Mow was above average. All in all it was decent experience. 3.5 stars for me! read more

This place used to be my favorite Thai spot before Pandemic but when u recently tried it again the quality and taste of their food has been deteriorated. Their green curry was very watery and tasted like water and their pad Thai was very ordinary in taste and texture. It's sad that they have chosen to sacrifice quality over profit! Yes this place is totally worth the drive to Pasadena. It's charming and inviting from the minute you step through the door. They have very limited parking.. only 3 spots or you can pay $5 to park. I parked on the street and they are serious about the 1 hour parking. I have a $51 parking ticket to prove it. Spend the $5! The food is excellent. Everything was delicious! I especially loved the crying tiger steak with sticky rice special and beef pad see ew. The Tom yum chicken soup was great. Garlic string beans were really crunchy .. cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself is really cute and I made the decision before eating a morsel that I had to come back and dine in. Pad see ew was mentioned 350+ times - it was a no brainer for my choice. My husband was coming down from a cold and wanted something warm and comforty - duck noodle soup for him. I usually associate thai cuisine portion to be on a smaller scale - I was surprised how large my pad see ew came in! Definitely enough to be split into two meals. Not overwhelming greasy and perfectly seasoned - loved the texture of the beautifully cooked flat noodles. In addition, they gave a lot of chicken and veggies! The chicken was a little on the dry side but still delicious! Wished they threw in another egg for more contrast in texture and flavor too. Nevertheless - one of the best pad see ews I've had to date. My husband kept comparing the duck noodle soup to his fav Thai noodle soup from his college days. He loved loved loved this dish. It was everything he was looking for. Perfectly cooked everything - the duck was tender, the noodles were chewy, and soup was flavorful.
