    Chicken curry
    Johnny W.

Great hole in the wall Thai spot located in Pasadena. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered 2 orders of fried chicken dumplings, 1 chicken pad Thai , 1 chicken curry, a small bowl of shrimp tom yum, Vietnamese iced coffee, iced green tea and mango sticky rice. The total cam out to $110 with a tip. The meal was delicious and what I expect from any good Thai restaurant. The potatoes and carrots in the curry could have been cut up some because they came out in huge chunks in the bowl. Overall this a small cozy place to enjoy some good Thai food. Cheers!

I first ate at Daisy Mint in 2010 and truly enjoyed dining there and loved the food. Oddly I had not been back since. Shame on me for missing out on their delicious food for sixteen years. I seem to recall back then it was more Thai fusion than it is now. But I have consumed a lot of beer, wine, cocktails in the interim so my brain could be foggy on that account. Nevertheless the food we ate was fantastic. I would love to get bottles of their sauces to cook with at home. The summer wraps are largely lettuce and Thai mint - I prefer having a bit more carrot and cuke in them, but I'm not the boss. The spinach peanut with tofu had epic spinach and tasty tofu. The Chinese broccoli in the Pad See Ew was nice and crisp. I guess there is parking in the lot in the back of the store. Seems to be marked for specific stores. I wonder, does the Spa really get that busy they need that many spots? I didn't see anything reserved for Daisy patrons. But I figured most of the other businesses were not open in the evening. Anyway we didn't get a ticket or towed off the lot.

Pad Thai - tofu be aware they put purple onion

Found this spot nearby when I went to a local theatre-Boston Court. Good food, the staff was nice, there's parking and the vibe is cozy with charm. I've been twice already! First time I got beef pad se ew and it was yummy. I went for early dinner on a Tuesday and the place was empty. The second time I went I got tofu pad Thai and it too was yummy. This time I went for lunch (they have great lunch specials) and the place was busy and buzzing. Note that here they put sautéed purple onions in their pad Thai. I'm used to onions on the dish being green onions. I happen to hate onions so it was a bummer, but I just picked them out and it was fine. Both times I got Thai iced tea, I'm lactose intolerant so can't usually have it. They have oat milk to substitute for the milk. There's a small parking lot with a couple of designated spots and you can enter through the back. There is also street parking nearby.

Good Pad See Ew, I would rate it pretty high on my PAD SEE EW METER. I really liked the garlic string beans with chicken and the Thai iced tea tops it off nicely. I honestly would nae nae a little but I wouldn't whip too hard for this meal. I'd say it's worth its price.

Best place to get some fast Thai food. Have a lot of authentic dishes to choose from. I got the beef pad se ew, it was very flavorful, and the beef was tender. A nice amount serving that you could eat for two days. The place is very cute inside with modern furniture..it's small inside so it's very limited seating. Parking is located on the street or in the rear of resturant.

My new favorite Thai spot! Went in with a few friends around 6 on a Friday and snagged the last open table. It's a cozy spot with limited seating but doesn't feel cramped. Servers were quick and friendly, and happy to answer any questions we had. We started with the roti and curry and it was such a good appetizer. I had the Daisy Noodles and will absolutely be going back for them!

Love the food, enjoyed the cozy-with-a little-dash-of-vintage atmosphere, and always appreciate friendly service. I must have my cup of barley ginger tea when I visit. Smooth and perfectly sweetened. It's amazing, and I just have to learn how to make it!! My favorite Thai dish is pad see ew with beef, and they did not disappoint. Also got a small wonton soup and it was plenty for two. Very tasty! A sweet dining experience. We came at 6p, found plenty of parking, and were seated immediately.

Sweet like Daisy, refreshing like mint. Daisy Mint is a charming little Thai restaurant in Pasadena. My family of three came here for early dinner/ late lunch yesterday. We shared their Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Red Pork Plate. The flavors were delicious, and each plate generously & beautifully served. Their red pork plate was delicious. My one wish would be that they served more of it, as I felt it was a couple pieces on top of a lot of rice. Our noodles were delicious. Pad Thai was my favorite for the night. Service was great! Our server was friendly, and prompt. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

This restaurant is so, so cute. I was recommended this by a college professor and knew i had to come see what it's about... Their Pad thai portions are big and very sharing friendly. Their coconut chicken and shrimp noodle soup are both very good. Big bowl of soup to share. I was feeling health conscious and went for the salmon wrap and liked that they made it more tangy, but did not like the texture of the shredded salmon bits. Its a great restaurant to take people to who like aesthetics and good food altogether

Garlic green beans! Cooked perfectly with a nice crisp to them. The garlic sauce you could drink!!!!

Recommended by locals. The food was amazing! The staff was friendly and we were immediately seated. The ambience is clearly a local's favorite and feels like you are in the living room of the cook! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We ordered so much food, a beer and a glass of wine. Subtotal was $68!!!!! I gave an 18% tip.

Came in for Sunday lunch with a friend. We found 1-hour street parking with no hassle. Inside is bright, clean, plenty of tables for small and medium sized groups. We were greeted and seated right away. There were a few tables with customers there already. The menu seemed small but I didn't mind it since they seemed to have a lot of main dishes. They do have some lunch specials but we opted for the full menu since we were sharing. We ordered the pad see ew with chicken and the papaya salad. It didn't take long for us to get our food. Pad See Ew. This was amazing. Great flavor, good amount of chicken, perfectly cooked veggies. We did order this medium spice but it didn't seem to have any spice at all. Papaya Salad. A generous portion. Great taste. I do think it needed to be a little saltier but it was pretty fresh and light. The menu specified that this was a spicy dish but it didn't have a hint of spice at all. I really enjoyed trying this place out and I will keep coming back to try more menu items. I hear the eggplant here is one of their must haves. I had to knock down a star because once the food came out, they forgot about us. We had to get up about 3-4x to ask for drink refills, to ask for the table spices, to ask for to-go containers, etc. But when we were ordering we had multiple people ask if we were ready to order, even though we had already put in our order. So maybe it was just an oversight and they thought someone else had already helped us. Either way it's not a deal breaker this time.

Of course, I went in because I already know the quality of their food. I always find their noodles fresh and chewy, and the dishes are rich in texture and flavor. But this time, since I was by myself, I didn't order a noodle dish because I was just by myself. So, I ordered the beef roll, which is also to die for! Just really enjoy their food overall. If you've never tried Noodle Street before, definitely check out their menu and give their noodles a try. This particular location was clean, the staff was nice, and the wait wasn't long when I arrived. I would definitely come back again! I'd like to add one more detail. While I was waiting for my food, one of the staff members, possibly the manager, Justin, came over and asked if I'd like to have a small bowl of broth on the side. I said yes and was impressed by that offer. Why? This young man understood that I had ordered only the beef roll, which is a dry dish. Having a little warm broth on the side made it much easier and more enjoyable to eat. I had water, though, but I personally never drink water before or after my meal, so the broth was definitely a perfect complement to the beef roll. This is the first time in my Noodle Street eating history that I've been offered something simple to enhance my dining experience. A small gesture that I think is worth mentioning, as it showed that he was attentive and had very good common sense when it comes to customer service. Thumbs up to him, and an extra star from me for this location.

While I was staring at the menu deciding whether I wanted to get anything, several people came and went with their orders and everyone told me to get the fried chicken. So, I went inside and got the fried chicken with macaroni salad. A few mintues later, I added a katsu musubi to the order. This is not fast-food. The wait is real. About 12 minutes. I then had probably about 10 minutes of driving before I sat down to eat. The fried chicken is delicious and has a great crispy/crunchy skin. There is a faint sweetness that coats the chicken. The meat was not super plump like some national-chain places (I think those places brine-injected the chicken). Depending on your preference, this might feel too dry to you. Their dipping sauce for the chicken is very tasty. If they just sold that in bottles, I'd come just to buy that for use at home! Speaking of preferences, the macaroni salad is also well made, but it's simple and might be disappointing if you're expecting some kind of flavor kick. I liked it very much, because it is in the style of the basic macaroni salad -- someone described it as going home to Hawaii for them -- and I think that's what it is. Portions were enough to split into two meals. So I had half of my chicken and the mac salad. I had planned to also only eat half of the musubi. But it was delicious and had a nice crunch which I'm sure would not have held up being kept in the fridge. I really enjoyed the musubi on its own, but also enjoyed taking turns with bites with that sauce added on. I stored the rest of the chicken and mac salad in the fridge and then had them for dinner 6 hours later. Despite being in the fridge, the chicken still had a bit of a crunchy bite to it - it wasn't a mushy soggy mess. Very friendly service. This is not a sit-down place you go to for a dining experience - just a solid place to get food to go that will be delicious. A special thank you to our server, Eric, who took care of our family. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. He also recommended the Dan Dan noodles with the pork chop which we had not tried before and my family raved about. Unfortunately, our experience with the host was the complete opposite. When we asked if we could be seated in a booth, he responded with a sour expression and unnecessary attitude, as though having the booth cleaned was a personal inconvenience. Even after we thanked him for accommodating our request, his response remained cold and dismissive. That interaction is the reason we're deducting one star, because customer service matters just as much as good food. Our family frequently visits the Sawtelle Japantown location, where we've always been welcomed with outstanding hospitality. We hope this location can provide that same level of warmth and professionalism in the future.
