Don't go to Daisy's Nail and Spa off Peter's and University. I went in last Monday and got the dips and a pedicure and spent 88 dollars total. I had 1 nail break by Wednesday and I went to get it fixed Thursday. After I went on Thursday, I had another one break the same day and went back and got it repaired. In the rain. Same day, I had a third nail break. At this point I wanted them off, but I had to work the next days so I waited until Sunday. Saturday night I had a fourth nail break. I came in today and had them taken off and got a clear coat manicure so that my nails wouldn't break, and they charged me for this too and refused to refund me from my last visit. I left crying. Don't waste your money here. There's still blue in my normal manicure because I guess they couldn't fix that either. I spent 112 dollars total for a crappy job and crappy customer service. read more

Lisa was my tech - excellent customer service! Daisy's makes sure you are satisfied. I had a mood-changing gel manicure done, but was not satisfied with the finished product of the gel. They quickly and happily repainted my nails with an alternative gel. They even Thanked me for coming back so I would be happy with my nails. They do care about keeping their customers happy! Never saw her again. Smh. Anyway, I've always given them the benefit of the doubt to try different techs. The work looks beautiful when I leave but the next day, gel is peeling. Yes, GEL POLISH IS PEELING LIKE A BANANA! Even the gel acrylic the use to do my overall is horrible. Chips and cracks nonstop. That's unheard of!!! I had never heard of this place before I have been going to nail trix in tower shops for years, but my nail tech Tony moved so of course I followed. He is awesome. And not to mention the place is very relaxing not yelling people and very professional. Can't wait to go back . Two different people. Originally I have a lady I like, prior to finding her I had a bad experience, and now when she wasn't available I had ANOTHER bad experience. THESE ARE MY REAL NAILS. For some reason one nail was cut shorter than the rest????? All my nails were strong and long as I was growing them. I was crying when I left because I asked her if she could fix them so many times because they were so bad all around and I was told it was her nail file that was wrong??? She actually only did one hand and then neglected the other one and told me she already did it when she CLEARLY did not. She tried to put gel polish ON MY NAILS that I am posting. I had to tell her no... just put clear polish because I'm going somewhere else. HORRIBLE. Bad service. SO RUDE. She did not care I was upset. I had just lost my dad a week before, I needed my nails done before I went to his service. My life is spiraling and I wanted to do something nice for myself but they just made everything SO MUCH WORSE. Davie nails is the place to go. Not here. I have been coming here for years and I am now looking for a new place to go to. Last time I went, I brought my little sister,she's 10 years old. She got a regular pedi nothing serious, and their menu said that she would be 18$. When I go to the front desk to pay, I'm being charged almost 30$. Their excuse was that they haven't updated the menu and that my sister is "too big" to be considered a child. It is extremely insulting to tell a little girl that they are big. Yesterday was my third time going to Daisy's for a pedicure and a gel manicure. My first experience was absolutely wonderful but I didn't want to leave a review right away because I wanted to go back a couple more times so that my review would be accurate and not based on just one experience. I often feel like some people have one bad experience somewhere than go on a rant and bash a decent establishment just because one experience (kind of like what one person did on Daisy's Yelp page). Every time I go I always make an appointment with Taylor. She is very good and always very nice and speaks good English. The first time I went I had her by chance and loved it so much that I always just ask for her now. She frequently asks me if everything is okay, she really cares about what she is doing. I used to go to Venetian Nail Spa off of Pine Island. I went there every two weeks for a couple years, but than I realized that I never really left that place completely satisfied. They are always so busy and it is very crowded there, and even though I considered myself a regular I never felt like one. The people there never treated me like a good returning customer. After the last two times when I went to Venetian for a pedicure the technician cut me and I got an infection..both times!! I decided that was it....I need to find another place. Boy, am I glad that I did. Now back to Daisy's. Daisy's is so much cleaner, more spacious, and the people are nicer and more customer service oriented. The chairs that customers sit in for manicures are super comfortable. They have a good selection of colors (gel and regular polish). It was never busy and there was never a wait when I went all three times. I seriously think it is a hidden gem. I am so happy I found this place. There are TV's in the pedicure rooms, and the music selection varies. It is usually like pop/R&B/today's hits kind of music. read more

I went in for a mani pedi as a last resort because all other salons were full or closed. I got an acrylic full set and the man who did them was very aggressive and did a terrible job. Hairs and bubbles were left in my nails as well as the nail polish peeled off by itself within a week. When the nails did come off a permanent indentation was left on my nail. As for the toes the lady was also very aggressive and made me bleed. She left me with a smudged nail and wouldn't fix it. When I tried taking it off it would not come off no matter how hard I tried, I ended up going to another salon to get it off and even The nail tech struggled to get it off. Under the polish my nails were left yellow. This place is also extremely expensive for such bad quality. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more
