A well kept secret of locals and an old school vibe that's truly old school no imitations here! From the well stocked bar to the superb menu of meats and seafoods everything is top cabin. Service is what you want: attentive, helpful, friendly and accommodating from valet to bartender.

Came here for a casual lunch. This place has an old school kinda vibe. From the valet, to the hostess, they are very welcoming. Sat at the bar area, had a dozen oysters on half shell, tuna sashimi on toast, and the stuffed mushrooms! Washed it down with some champagne. Service is always on point! Will be coming back for more...

We came here to celebrate my 30th birthday on March 14th and had a 7:45pm reservation. despite how busy it was, everything flowed seamlessly from start to finish. Just a heads up, they only offer valet parking for $6, but it's quick and convenient and made arrival easy. One thing that really stood out was the ambiance. it felt different from most restaurants in the best way. It had an elevated, lively energy while still feeling comfortable and welcoming, striking that perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. We started with a pomegranate margarita, a Paloma, and some delicious cheese bread that set the tone for the night. For dinner, we ordered the surf and turf with a perfectly cooked medium rare filet mignon and Chilean sea bass that truly melts in your mouth. We also had the New York pepper steak cooked medium with fries, along with sides of cream of spinach and mac and cheese. the mac and cheese was incredibly creamy and cheesy, pure comfort food. Even with the crowd, service was never neglected. Our waiter, Blake, was attentive throughout the night, and the manager stopped by our table to check in, which was a really nice touch. This place never disappoint(: the consistency and quality of the food is what makes it truly fantastic. Always a great experience.

What a wonderful dinner! We brought friends with us that had never dined at Dal Rae! What a treat to see their reactions with the experiences! The food and service waa exceptional, as it always is. What's impressive is how busy this place is afyer some many years in business! Grrat formula of quality food and service that so many appreciate! Special place that our family loves! Cocktails were great (and strong!) We ordered Dirty Martinis abd very tasty Pear Martinis (for those not driving). We all enjoyed our tableside prepared Caesar Salad. Delicious and fun to watch the preparation. Bread and great flatbread crackers are always a hit along with the garlic cheese bread! I ordered the prime rib, excellent. The rest of our party ordered pepper steaks (their specialty), filets and NY! I can't believe one of our guests actually finished the 18oz NY Steak, but so good he wanted to! We all enjoyed our tableside prepped fully loaded baked potatoes! Nothing better than lots if butter! We ordered several desserts to share including the tabkeside prepared Banana (and peaches) Foster. Steve prepared and served. What a treat! We have had Steve several times before preparing our tableside salads! He is awesome and explains the process! What a fun show! It was so delicious! Our main server was Raquel. So helpful and friendly. She did a great job. Of checking in with us and didn't rush us into ordering. Made for a very relaxing and enjoyable dinner out with friends! Dal Rae won our hearts and stomachs years ago! We will be back again and again!

They say it's the best restaurant in town and they may be right! Had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's birthday! The service was impeccable. Our reservations were made online and we checked in no problem. Many guests were dressed up classically for a steakhouse! Our waitress was kind and friendly answering all our questions about salt level of food etc. for some sensitive eaters in our group. The lighting and cleanliness of the restaurant were moody, excellent, and well kept. Now for the food, nothing disappoints! Everything was delicious. The bread for appetizers were warm and fresh. Fried calamari had two dipping sauces (with marinara)! Now the best dish in my opinion and the reason I will be coming back to Dal Rae's is for the Chilean sea bass!!! So flaky, buttery and the onions were delectable! Overall, I could not recommend Dal Rae more! Thanks for making a special event so perfect!

Heard a lot about this place and gave it a go. will not be giving it another go. reminds me of Lawry's. I get it's cultured and historical, but the love and flavor just ain't there for me. Not saying it isn't a good place, there were other folks inside enjoying their meals including the group I was with. The service was great. Parking appears to be private and or Valet. If you don't have any Cash to get your car, I'm not sure what happens.

4 star for food, and nothing else really made it go any higher. I think they've lost their edge. Will always be a meaningful, historic spot in the neighborhood. Some dishes are hit or miss. I had the lamb and it was good, not great. Same with the wedge salad - good, not great. Staff is very sweet.

I had dinner here last night and it was pointed out to me, that I didn't review this place. Now, I'm almost positive I did - but maybe I did compose one; left it as a draft and somehow deleted it. Anyway, here goes ... I was introduced to Dal Rae by a fellow Yelper who has never steered me wrong. We, along with others, had a tradition of dining here on Halloween which this year, would be the first time back, since before the pandemic. However, it was decided to dine last night (Sunday) as Friday was not only Halloween, the Dodgers were playing and traffic on Fridays is a true nightmare. Valet parking. $6. Or you can find parking on the street. Inside, it's an old school steakhouse. Host/hostess stand as soon as you enter. Straight ahead is the bar and lounge and a dining room straight back. To the left, is a private room which last night was in use. To the right is the main dining area plus a garden room, which is where we chose to sit last night. Couldn't figure out why it was so busy until we found the menu celebrating Dal Rae's 67th anniversary. We thought it was just Dodger fans out to partying the World Series win. Service was excellent. The team took care of us all the way down to boxing up our leftovers, tableside. Not that I'd worry about staff messing with my food at this place, but others, I have to admit, it's in the back of my mind. Friendly. Polite. Personable. Professional. Not arrogant, nor inattentive or cold at all. As for the food, see pics. Flavorful, juicy, tender steaks. Fresh, hearty, savory sides. Decadent and silky desserts (last night: Caesar Salad Hears of Romaine, creamy dressing; Dal Rae Pepper Filet Mignon, Pan seared with onion, bacon and peppercorn mixture and Tiramisu Expresso, mascarpone, lady fingers and creme anglaise). Other pics are from previous visits and I enjoyed them all. The full bar has an extensive selection which for me, pairs well with steak. As I've had all the Bourbon/Rye on their list, I knew which I'd enjoy with last night's filet and complimented the peppery tones (Rabbit Hole Bourbon). Anyway, I really do like this steakhouse. Love the food, service and vibe. I'll definitely be back.

Our visit to Dal Rae was nothing short of an incredible experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. This is one of those places that truly understands what it means to deliver a full dining experience, not just a meal. Starting with valet, the service was smooth, fast, and welcoming. It immediately set the tone for the night. You could tell right away that this place values hospitality and making guests feel taken care of from the very beginning. Once seated, the ambiance really stood out. Dim lighting, warm tones, classic steakhouse feel, it creates that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. It feels intimate, relaxed, and just the right setting for a date night or family dinner. The candlelight, the energy of the room, and the overall vibe made it feel like a special occasion even without trying. Our server, Raquel, was absolutely amazing. From the start, she was welcoming, attentive, and full of personality. She really knows the menu inside and out, which made a huge difference. Whether it was helping us decide on drinks or guiding us through the food options, she made everything feel easy and enjoyable. She checked in at the right times, never felt intrusive, and genuinely made us feel at home. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows in every interaction. The food was outstanding across the board. Every dish that came out was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The appetizers set the tone right away, from the rich and savory mushrooms to the crispy calamari that had the perfect crunch without being greasy. The bread and starters felt classic and comforting, but still elevated. The drinks were just as impressive. From the cocktails to the presentation, everything felt thoughtfully made. Whether it was a classic old fashioned or a smooth martini, everything paired perfectly with the meal and added to the overall experience. For the main course, the steak was cooked exactly how it should be, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Paired with the sides like broccoli and rice, it balanced out perfectly. Even the plating felt clean and intentional, nothing overdone, just quality food done right. And we can't forget dessert. That final touch really brought everything together. Rich, satisfying, and the perfect way to end the night without feeling overwhelming. What really stands out about Dal Rae is consistency. Service, food, atmosphere, everything aligns. It feels like a place that has been doing things the right way for a long time, and it shows in every detail. Huge thank you to Raquel and the entire team for making our night so enjoyable. This is definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.

This is one of those places that withstands the test of time. Trends don't exist here. This place has never been an instagrammable spot, and it never will be because its not the cool spot that takes a good picture. This place is an institution. It probably hasn't been remodeled since it opened and we are all happy it hasn't been or it would have lost its charm. Step in here and you'll get taken back to the days that Northrup Grumman used to be across the street, and the b2 was still top secret. Some old timers come here for weekly dinners, but some of us come to celebrate anniversary's and special occasions. The service here is immaculate. You will never not come here and not get treated like family. The workers all remember to come and have a conversation with you and make you feel at home. The pepper steak is what everyone comes for. The table side Caesar is a requirement as well. It's hard to put into words what this place represents but aside from that, the food is delicious. The food and cocktails are on the expensive side, but sometimes you just gotta live a little. Make sure you dress up here too, you'll kill the vibe if you come in a T-shirt and maybe get kicked out. Cheers.

Dal Rae is a must dinning experience for a throwback to classic dishes and attentive service. My work team celebrated the holidays with an intimate luncheon. We were served a crudité of fresh and pickled veggies with dipping sauces on ice, bread basket and butter. I enjoyed the Chilean sea bass served with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli. The fish was cooked to perfection with grilled onions on top and a creamy sauce...hearty portion as well. My coworkers raved over the peppercorn beef and chowder. We enjoyed dessert as well, but sadly no pics. The tiramisu and lemon tart were divine. Of course, the attentive staff were on point, water/drinks served and constant check-ins. The decor for the holidays set the right tone to celebrate.

But I've learned that if I order my steaks rare or even blue rare at a place not known for their steaks, it comes out to the desired medium rare I wanted all along. Such was the case tonight. I asked for rare but it came out closer to medium rare--maybe even dipping into medium. No big whoop. The baseball steak was still juicy and delicious. The fries were still great shoestring. And I can live with a chimichurri sauce instead of the preferable hollandaise or bearnaise these usually come with. I just wish I could actually ask for a medium rare and get medium at a food joint other than where it costs me $60 or $70 a cut. The service was good. She was pleasant and quick on her feet. The ambience was good. It was a quaint space and had a lot of charm. I can't say it was too full but I attribute that more to the day being full of sporting events like the World Cup and some silly NBA thing than an actually critique of the restaurant. Subsequently, I found this a good place for dinner but not superb and I found myself wondering when the next like fate might bring me here.

We then decided to eat the burrito (she had half and I had half) and save the sandwich for dinner later that day. The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I would say 8/10. It was a good size as well which is why we shared it. Now, when we had the sandwich (shared as well) later for dinner OMG it was delicious!! Every ingredient mixed well together. So much flavor!
