Best pita bread and dips! Yes I paid $5 for an extra one and ended up so full I barely touched my main course. We got the prefix lunch menu, one with the short rib pasta dish, shockingly a miss, it was a total salt bomb! I told my friend to return it but she didn't want to bother. I spoke up and they were so kind and gave us baklava. My pork was super flavorful, I wish there was something to soak up the sauce, it was kind of stewed in lots of sauce with I think a small slather of mashed potatoes? On the bottom. I brought it home and finished it for dinner with a piece of bread. The star for me was the birthday girl's free smore dessert, that was yummy!!! I licked the plate clean.

An excellent meal marred by slow service. This second visit impressed me as much as the first (food was probably more exciting). But there were some weird waits between courses, I got appetizers quite a bit earlier than the rest of the table, drinks arrived late... It's such a busy restaurant that I understand why it happened, but it shouldn't be happening at this price point and with the kind of ambition the kitchen has.

So lucky we got reservations for a group of 6. We ordered drinks and a little bit of everything. From the breakin bread, to octopus, to beet salad, to the lamb shoulder, fish, chicken and a couple of desserts. My top favorite has to be the breaking bread, octopus and the black ink pasta. Everything was tasty and perfectly portioned for family style. The desserts were amazing, baklava, chocolate cake and the chocolate tart. Everything was perfectly sweet, meaning not too sweet. :) Got here early and got to walk around and watch the sunset after a full belly.

Second time here, came back to celebrate a friend's birthday! We had a great time and enjoyed the food. The favorites were the octopus & sujuk, and the breaking bread. Must orders in my opinion! We also liked the beet salad. We also tried the pork souvlaki and the steak which were both solid and cooked well but didn't blow us away. The lamb dishes are better in my opinion. For dessert, we got the seasonal sorbet which was raspberry rose and the layered baklava. Both were tasty but the baklava was amazing and the more unique dessert item.

My friends and I dined at Dalida on a Saturday afternoon around 1:45 p.m. and we were able to get seated without a reservation with only a short ten minute wait. We started our meal with a round of cocktails. I tried out their Bodrum Negroni -- cacao infused mezcal, miso red vermouth, satsuma cheong, ferment, saline, and it was a refreshing spin on a classic. It was boozy, but well-balanced. We started our meal with a few items off the "for the table" section of the menu, ordering the the "breaking bread" and breakfast spread". Both items come with a piece of their chubby pita, a super fluffy, thick, freshly made pita. Between these two items, there are a total of ten different dips and bites to try out. The favorites of the table included the muhammara -- a roasted red peppers dip with walnuts, the tahini and molasses spread, and the kaymak -- similar to clotted cream, with jam. If you're coming with a group, I'd definitely recommend ordering these two spreads and an extra chubby pita for $5. Along with the dips, we also got the octopus and sujuk. The knife-work and presentation on the octopus is unlike anything I've ever seen; the dish is beautifully presented and almost too pretty to eat. The octopus is cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the saltiness and brininess of the olive-caper garnish on top. By this point in the meal, we were actually becoming quite full. For our mains, we shared the Arayes kebab and the hot smoked trout. From the Arayes kebab platter, these shoe-string fries were hands down some of the best fries I've ever had. Reminiscent of McDonald's fries, the ones here are incredibly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and generously dusted with seasoning. Continuing with the pattern of beautiful presentation, the dish is also very aesthetic. The kebab meat is stuffed inside a chubby pita and is grilled to perfection. There's a nice crust on the meat, and kebab is made with with a cornucopia of herbs and spices. I was too a bit too full to try more than a bite of the trout dip, so unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to properly enjoy or evaluate the dishes. Overall, my group had a delicious meal at Dalida. The service here is fantastic, and food and beverage is solid all around. Definitely worth venturing out to the Presidio to try at least once.

Came here to celebrate a birthday and very much enjoyed the "Let us cook for you" menu! 5 courses, everything was very interesting and delicious. Only misses of the night were the date cake during dessert and the bread/ rice item that came with our entree. I was so full though, I certainly didn't need either. The meat entree itself was delicious and beautifully cooked, and the strawberry jasmine sorbet with dessert was excellent as well! My favorite dish was the short rib pasta course, delicious!

Reading reviews and considering coming here? Make sure to check Opentable to reserve a spot before locking in on this one - most popular times are booked within days of them being available. Parking is free on the Presidio after 6PM, but you do have to pay if you're coming in before then. Inside can get a little loud, and most people actually put somewhat of an effort to dress up! Service was fast and friendly, and we were seated instantly for our reserved time. We celebrated our anniversary here and left a note on the reservation, and to our surprise we were offered a glass of champagne on the house! We ordered the Octopus and Sujuk, Baking Bread, Crab Pasta, and Lamb Chops. The must orders are the octopus and baking bread, as that is their signatures and ones with the most unique flavor profile/presentation. The pastas are pretty basic, and the lamb chop was super tender and flavorful. The lamb is a little gamey, but the potatoes paired with it drowns out the flavor a little. Service was fast for the appetizers, but took a minute for the entrees. Our server was very friendly and patient with us as we asked questions regarding the menu. We felt pretty full afterwards despite the portion sizes looking a little small in the pictures. However, I do not feel like this restaurant has a "replayability" factor - the dishes were all good individually, but nothing out of the uniqueness that you can't find at other middle eastern/mediterranean or similar restaurants. The main difference is the atmosphere.

I've had this restaurant saved for several years and last night I finally tried it with no reservations for the three of us, we were able to eat at the bar. We ordered many dishes to share and enjoyed all of it, maybe too much. I'm actually glad we were seated at the bar because the cocktails coming from here were so beautiful I decided to order one, even though I had come in saying I wouldn't drink tonight, it was delicious. The atmosphere is minimal sheik, and nice service.

Love this place! It's a hot commodity too because of its proximity to the Tunnel Tops and the lawn. So make reservations especially during the weekend. Sayat, the head chef, is a friend of a friend and he's always so welcoming. The food is always on point and the service never fails. Not to mention that the restaurant itself is beautiful and inside of a beautiful building and park. For dishes I recommend pretty much everything. But my personal favorite is their Arayes Kebab (which I still call the Arayes Burger from the early days). Seating outside is only for brunch/lunch so just be prepared.

"Breaking Bread with its accompaniments."

My girlfriend and I met for lunch at Dalida and it was both our first time to try it. We ordered their "Breaking Bread" to start. It was delicious and came with several accompaniments. My favorite was the hummus which I enjoyed with the bread. For our entrée, we had the "Black Cod" and "Short Ribs." The cod was flavorful and fresh! The short ribs were okay. We did share a "Chocolate Torte" served with a tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. Well, the ice cream was good but not the chocolate torte as the bottom crust was too hard and almost inedible. It was a nice lunch after all since my girlfriend and I absolutely enjoyed catching up and the service was excellent! Sonia was exceptional and Sly was attentive!

Came with a big party and got a bunch of items to share. Everything turned out delicious and parking was easy to find outside. Was surprised the lamb came out like a ground ball they put back together on the bone, but it was still yummy. The octopus appetizer was pretty good too.

Aleppo half chicken

Came with a large party and was able to try a ton of dishes on the menu. Highlights included: Smoked yogurt in Breaking Bread Octopus & sujuk Pork cheek souvlaki Solid, beautifully cooked: Tahdig Lamb shoulder tandoor Aleppo chicken Dry aged NY strip Also solid but maybe lil less interesting given all the bold flavors here Fattoush salad Broiled cauliflower Skip: Anatolian erishte Date cake (saffron ice cream was great!) Kayseri manti, Dungeness crab hilopides and galieh black cod sound really good - high on list to try next. The "let us cook for you" prix fixe sounds like a great deal. Cocktails were amazing - super fun flavors and combinations. Pasha was a crowd fave - feel like tomato water is everywhere now and this was a good one. Jane meets the devil was nice, and Saturnalia was good though on sweeter side for me. Family style private dining was an experience. You will not leave hungry. Was pretty full after apps. They asked if we wanted more food after all the mains were served and we were a little shocked. The food is really heavy though. They packed up tons of leftovers, which fed us for days. Service was lovely. Restaurant is beautiful. The private room ran really hot even with windows open, and folks were pretty uncomfortable.. especially those on other side of windows. Super easy parking right outside.

Arayes kebab
Alyson C.

Came here because we love the breaking bread! It's a delicious chubby pita with various hummus/yogurt dips to accompany it. This was the first time we came here for dinner and we really enjoyed the arayes kebab and black cod. The pork cheek was also good but I'd rank it last out of the four items we had. Service is always great here and ambiance inside is nice, just a little noisy at times.

Is the meat/lamb/chicken you're serving halal?

How many courses was the tasting menu?

The NYE tasting menu was a 4 course dinner, but the first course had 3 separate dishes for the table to share. It was a lot of food and it was all so incredible.

What we ordered: + Meze Combo [5/5]: A bit overpriced for the portion but the diversity of spreads and dips was worth it IMO. The hummus and ezme were very classically flavored. The portion size, flavor, and texture of this is amazing! The veggies and herbs are incredibly fresh. This is my favorite and I would 100% order this again. + Beyti [5/5]: Very impressive dish. The beef/lamb meat in this is pretty tender and a thick cut. The tomatoes add a nice sweetness throughout the dish, and the cheese is super fluffy and light pairing. Yummy! With the herbs and the lemon, it was such a lovely bright and savory contrast of textures. The shalgam though was decidedly not our jam - salty earthy pickle brine-y, served room temp. No thank you. The kunefe was also a bit of a letdown - quite small, not very cheesy or crispy. Should have stopped at the apps and mains. We were able to walk in and snag a table for 4 easily at 6:30pm on a Friday, but it definitely filled up shortly after. Space inside was cute and the sidewalk dining still a vibe on a busy strip of Valencia. Very friendly service.

We finished with the walnut baklava and it was easily some of the best baklava I've had. It was nutty and not overly sweet. The staff was incredibly kind. The staff were super attentive, friendly, and helpful. They were willing to accommodate the fact that we were in a bit of a rush and met our requests quickly and efficiently. The interior was curated well, bright, and airy, with views into the kitchen from across the restaurant. We started by ordering delightful, cocktails, and the trio of dips, which were very tasty. When we asked for extra pita bread on the side, the waiter provided us their wood fired flower bread on the house, which proved to be a highlight of the meal. The soft interior of the bread contrasted excellently with the crunchier exterior. I won't forget that bread anytime soon. The dips themselves were excellent, though the muhammara was a stand out. The crispy shrimp appetizer was great, providing an uncomplicated but fun bite which allowed the soft shrimp to work well with the crunchy exterior and sweet sauce. The shish kebab was praised by the birthday girl for its seasoning and consistency. For the main entree, we got the bronzino, which came with sardine rice, mustard, and some delightful greens, which were another standout on the meal. While the price is high for the Bronzino entree given how much fish was served, we did feel that the quality of execution balanced out the price point. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and, believe that it's worth going out for if they are in a different neighborhood and want a delightful Turkish meal.

The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers.
