Bulgogi Bibimbap w/Banchan and Terra Beer
    Andreína R.

I loved the location of this restaurant, went alone and they sat me by a window so I had redwoods right in front of me I loved the bibimbap, they gave me the gochujang on the side which I appreciated because I am not great with spicy food and some of the banchan was a bit spicy. I ate my entire bowl of food and most of the banchan, loved the beer and the quiet ambiance and welcoming service. Next time I'm in Los Gatos I'll be visiting again

Delicious Korean spot! We ordered the meat pancake, fried rice, and tofu soup, and everything was packed with flavor. We asked for spicy, and they definitely delivered, it had a really nice kick to it. One of my favorite parts was all the banchan they give you. So many tasty side dishes to snack on while waiting for the food! It's a very casual spot that's perfect for dinner, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

This is an awesome, authentic Korean spot in downtown Los Gatos. The interior is casual & clean and the staff are super nice / polite. We tried the following: Stand Out: -Short Ribs (Galbi, $36.95) - HUGE portions, super fatty and delicious. Good: -Spicy Fried Chicken ($22.95) -Bi Bim Bap ($18.95) -Spicy Rice Cake ($16.96) The portions and banchan were great.

Everything we ordered was really good. You can't miss. They do use Korean style chopsticks so you gotta get good if you wanna eat. Waiter was really nice & accommodating to our large party.

Overall: 4.5/5 Came here during their 1 year anniversary, promos were 50% off one item per guest and 50% all drinks unlimited. Any additional is paid at regular price. Regular is pricey.... except the galbi. Complementary side dishes. Inside is very spacious, indoor/outdoor seating, good service, food came out quickly. Food: - Dwen Jang Jigae: actually not that spicy (like pepper level), wish there was more meat - Cheese Bibimbap Hot Stone: actually cheesy, good comfort food

Pleasantly surprised, I stopped in for lunch while there was a farmers market going on and got the bibimbap, reasonably priced for a lot of food and it came out fast which was great because I was starving. No complaints, it was solid.

Food was a solid 3.5 and service was okay, so rounded to 4 stars. Ordered: Spicy fried chicken Seafood pancake Beef soft tofu soup - medium spicy My friend and I are both South East Asian, but we are on the complete opposite spectrum for spiciness level. I absolutely love my food spicy, like if I'm not on the toilet the next day then it's not spicy enough- spicy, but only enough to elevate the flavor of the dish! She's a sriracha and hot Cheetos are spicy type of girly. With that being said- their "spicy" tastes like nothing. My friend highly enjoyed it, I was a little disappointed. I was expecting at least a tiiiiiiiny kick to where I could at least be like "okay, I can taste a little hint of it". I didn't get that. But like a lot of restaurants, it's most likely adjusted to the customer demographic of that area. Flavor profile for the dishes itself was pretty good. Chicken had a nice batter, meat was not dry- sauce was sweet and the pieces were a little smaller than other Korean fried chickens I've had. 3/5 Beef soft tofu soup - medium spicy, but again, spicy was nonexistent. Tasted like the standard beef soft tofu soup. I love soup, so can't complain too much- it wasn't watered down. Umami-ness was there. 3.5/5 Seafood pancake was nice and crispy around the edges (some parts were just a tad too crispy if you're picking up what I'm putting down) and it had a nice mix of the various.... toppings? Is that what the seafood inclusion would be called..? Anyway 4.5/5 Restaurant was a nice size with maybe 10 or so tables decently spread out. Tables were not cramped together. Inside was well lit with minimal decor. The waiter guy checked in on us maybe once during the meal to refill our water then again for the check and to-go container. He was nice enough.

I cannot rave enough about this place. Every time I come here the food is hot, flavorful and fresh. Our favorite items are the japache and the spicy ramen. This has become my husband and I love to come here weekly because it's so good. The service here is so nice and I love their outdoor area.

New Korean spot in Los Gatos. Food, service, and ambiance were all great, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The place really gave off the vibe of being in Korea. We ordered the spicy fried chicken, budae jjigae (army stew), and osam bulgogi (octopus and pork stir fry). Everything was delicious and hit the spot on a rainy fall night. I'm not drinking right now, but the dishes would've paired perfectly with a bottle of soju. They also had a nice selection of local Asian craft beers and other drinks that I'll check out next time. Overall, a solid Korean option without having to drive all the way to El Camino.

The more distance I get from eating here, the more fondly I remember it and it was good the first time we went. Danbi is a great new Korean restaurant in Los Gatos. The selection is great and the service is even better. While this isn't an AYCE Korean BBQ, it's quality and quantity are worthwhile. FOOD: We tried the spicy pork and the bulgogi and I had to have the mandu and all of it was terrific. Great flavor all around. The banchan (little plates of mostly pickled veggies) were all tasty and fresh. They weren't sitting around endlessly as some places have them. The flavor of each dish was nice (hopefully they took our advice and added more of their yummy sauce). SERVICE: Exceptional! They were so friendly and the portions were really nice. Very clean surroundings. The ambiance was spacious and stylish. COST: Really good! For what you get, it was worth it.

Rare Korean gem in downtown Los Gatos. Good food but on the pricey side for the portion Food Quality Mandu: Excellent fillings with crispy (not overfried) skin Spicy Fried Chicken: Absolute hit! Flavorful and addictive Beef Short Ribs: Good flavor but quite fatty Kimchi & Pork Soft Tofu: Average, nothing special Side dishes could be more generous for the price point Service Experience Friendly and attentive staff Got complimentary seafood pancake samples! Value for Money Definitely on the pricey side. Likely reflects the prime downtown Los Gatos location Cleanliness & Atmosphere Very clean and family-friendly environment

This Korean place had a very nice modern and causal feel to it. And at first I thought because of how trendy it looked that it was going to be more Korean fusion-y type of flavors. But I was surprised that the Korean dishes and flavors were still very much not fusion. The food was solid and the portions were also quite good for the price. They have plenty of seating and it was not a wait at all to get seated even for a weekend (Friday night) so service was very quick and efficient. Would come again to try more in the future!

Danbi is a decently authentic Korean restaurant in downtown Los Gatos. The location is great as it's peaceful and overlooks the park. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. The service is friendly and quick. They acknowledged the spicy food wasn't very spicy at all. You can order here without any "dragon ball" concerns. Anyway the food was good. We got the KFC (Korean fried chicken) with the soy glaze which was delicious. The meat was perfectly tender and flavorful. It was fried but not overly breaded. The Mandu tofu soup was good. We ordered medium and it was really really mild. There were plenty of ingredients including the beef, tofu and dumplings. The banchan was fine. It seemed like it came straight from H-mart but I don't have any complaints.

Immediately impressed by the other clientele when we arrived. There was a crowd outside waiting to order, and when we were pondering the menu outside and telling another customer it was our first time there, he explained what his favorites were and we really appreciated that! My partner and I were craving brisket so we both ordered the same thing! Now usually we get two different things to share when we dine out, but we both didn't want to give up our brisket cravings, so alas - two LARGE orders of brisket were what we got! The brisket was delicious and tender. The end piece was too salty though, but the rest of it was tasty and had just the right amount of fat. There were about 6 small slices of brisket in the LARGE portion ($27.50) and it included 2 sides and a slice of bread. We got mac & cheese (yum), coleslaw (unique in that it didn't have much liquid but it was good!) and potato salad (also delicious!) to try. The cashier was pleasant, but otherwise there wasn't any extra service provided. We had to get our own utensils and napkins, and we had to pick up our own food when it was ready after our name was called, and we also had to get our own takeout containers and bus our own tables when we were finished! Food pricing was on the higher side. So tipping generously on a high priced meal seemed to be a little much for what we got, just sayin'! At least the food was prepared quickly. There was lots of seating both indoors and outdoors, and a full bar with a lot of draft beers and TVs - a good place to watch those sport games!

All of us had a good experience and much appreciated the service, so I have to give this place a 5/5. They also haven't made us feel rushed when they were about to close, which was very courteous of them. Despite their ratings on Yelp, I think you should give this place a shot.
