We used to love coming here, so when we saw it was under new management, we knew we had to give it a shot. I'm so glad we did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It still carries a lot of the same charm and menu that made the original spot so great, but there is a definitely a refreshed look and feel to the space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They've also expanded the menu, adding some great new options alongside the classics. Everything looked so good. We jumped in so quick we didn't get great pictures but the presentation was lovely! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and the service was fantastic--attentive and welcoming throughout the meal. We will definitely be back again soon!

The main sushi chef is such a kind and friendly gentleman! He was extremely generous and gave my friend and I extra little compliments. The sushi rolls are always fresh and presented well. Supporting small local businesses is always a priority when I try and eat out. If you are hankering for some sushi come and try this place! You can find parking easily in one of the public lots. We will be coming back very soon! Enjoy my friends!

We thought just one more chance. Nope! Not a chance of going back again. Whatever you do, do not order the $18.95 Rainbow Poke salad. Menu reads it comes with Spring Mix. Not even close. It was straight iceberg lettuce. Barely any fish. Total waste of money. Regretfully I didn't take a picture. Take my word for it. After I mentioned the lettuce, we were given the cold shoulder and treated accordingly.

Delicious restaurant in downtown Los Gatos. The service was friendly and helpful too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We asked to sit in the outdoor area and found it to be lovely with the string lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For dinner we had ikura nigiri, the California roll, the salmon teriyaki plate and the crazy roll -- the were all very tasty and fresh. Plus the price was great too! Highly recommend and will be back.

Delicious sushi in downtown Los Gatos at adorable prices. The service is always great and quick with orders.

We've been here many times & it's always good. There are many menu choices, our fav's are the Spicy Salmon Roll with green onion substituted for the lettuce and the Tijuana Roll with it's jalapeno & dab of Sriracha on top. There is indoor & outdoor seating plus service is quick and friendly.with background music of different types. It's a casual space with a mix of age groups, families, dates, & friends meeting up. If street parking happens to be limited you'll find parking in back or a huge parking lot two streets behind.

Sunday night, empty restaurant, I was the only customer besides some pick up and DoorDash orders. Service was not friendly, it took the waitress about four minutes to realize that anyone had even come in. The chef was focused on the meals he was preparing & chatted with the other employees in another language. I don't know, they didn't seem happy to have a dine-in customer and it showed in their interactions. The food was old, definitely not fresh, except for the lemon that came with the cucumber salad. However, on that salad, I found three hairs that did not belong to me. I ordered the taste of heaven and the red dragon roll. Both of which the fish did not taste fresh, slimey with an unnatural texture, and there was significantly more rice than anything else on the sushi rolls. It took considerable chewing to get through the taste of heaven. I was unable to finish the red dragon because I was starting to get a gag reflex from the taste of the fish and old or expired fillings and toppings. The role was falling apart on itself, rice had to have been old because it had lost all of its stickiness. The ambience definitely felt like it was a to go restaurant, but pricey. $55 for the food pictured including a small Sapporo and miso soup. Miso soup came at the very end of the meal, not what I'm used to as far as Japanese dining goes. The tofu in the soup was falling apart and slightly brown. This is the only time in recent memory that I have left a sushi roll un eaten. It might be better when the restaurant is busier, but I doubt it if they are leaving hairs in their cucumber salad with only one customer to tend to. Little attention to detail. Definitely wasn't from me because I had a hat on and I don't have black hair. Gross... 1/5

We stumbled upon this spot in Los Gatos and we're so glad we did! It's now our second time going and I can't speak highly enough of the service from all the workers, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the warm ambiance[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and fresh fish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We love sitting at the bar and the interactions we've had with the chefs have always been pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They make you feel at home and welcome. Yokohama is definitely my new favorite spot now!

    Bob's Brother Roll
    Katie R.

I might've just found my new go-to sushi spot! From traditional rolls to specialty rolls, the sushi options were plentiful. So plentiful that it was pretty difficult to decide what to order. I ended up going with the Bob's Brother Roll, and what a great decision that was. This roll was HUGE and absolutely delicious. After eating it and some edamame I was stuffed. The fish was fresh and the roll was full of flavor. Came to dine in on a weekday evening and there was plenty of seating available both it and outside. We opted for inside due to the wind, but would definitely sit on the patio on a nice night. It wasn't crowded so the sushi came up in what felt like minutes. But the rolls were not hastily put together, everything was presented nicely and the rolls really stick together. Excited to come back here and try some more rolls!

Salmon Teriyaki Bento, scallop hand roll, Los Gatos hand roll

BEST PLACE EVER TO EAT!! All the food tasted really fresh, the fish didn't have any fishy after taste to it, tasted very clean and easy on the palette. I would 1000% recommend this place. The service was also very good. They were very friendly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the place was very cozy and calm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Their Sushi Combo is now $31.95 (outrageous)
    Elena C.

Extremely disappointed with the Sushi Combo I got here for the hubby and I. First off, they seem to have significantly raised their prices. 10 Months ago, the Sushi Combo was $5 less than what they charged me today ($31.95). I know cost of living is going up, but that's a steep dump. Second, I was sad to see that they gave me two pieces of salmon. While the fish was good, I was sad to see the lack of variety. Lastly, virtually everything that came with the combo (with the exception of the miso soup) had an issue. The lettuce used for their salad was not fresh; the avocado in their Cali rolls was brown; some of the fish tasted old, and the tuna left an odd pink stain on the rice (I love tuna and have never seen this before). The worst part is their Sushi rice: it has zero flavor and falls apart when you pick it up. Very sad. I would have loved to support this local shop (prefer to shop small), but this was so bad, I won't be back.

    Gypsy Roll
    Ansley I.

Lived in Los Gatos my life and never came here. What a mistake! The service was quick and very nice. We got seated right away at a nice table and helped almost immediately. I ordered the Gypsy Roll and it was fabulous!!! The macadamia nuts are such a good add in the roll. My boyfriend got the Logan Roll with Hamachi inside instead of Salmon and the Hamachi Kamikaze roll. He loved both of them.

    Sunomono
    Elisa G.

I was in desperate need of sushi so I asked if they were open and came in and sat at the sushi bar. I ordered a sunomono salad with real crab and a salmon hand roll. The sushi chef made it perfectly and threw in extra bonito flakes.

Orange blossom - why is the salmon pink?

One drawback is their seaweed salad. It isn't worth one bite. They used to have it perfect, but not the last few years. A very short wait and my order arrived, nicely presented. The rolls tasted fresh and were nicely constructed. I know veggie rolls are not a thorough reflection of a Japanese restaurant but sometimes places get these simple things wrong. The only thing I didn't prefer was that the rice vinegar taste leaned a little more sweet than I prefer. Despite that I had no problem with the meal. But next time I'll order something different. Service was excellent and very prompt. Prices were reasonable. $15 total for my two rolls. The ambiance is no frills/casual and I was fine with that. You can dine inside or outside. Dog friendly on the outside patio! I sat inside as it was pretty warm outside. Since they're on the main strip in downtown LG, you'll need to park on the street or elsewhere nearby as they don't have their own parking lot. If presented with the opportunity I would come back to try some other dishes.

But after weighing the price of the all-you-can-eat vs ordering exactly what we were craving a la carte, we decided to just order off the menu, which was the smart move since it was much less expensive and we ended up full. The place is casual and a little not-fancy decor or ambiance wise. You wouldn't bring anyone here you wanted to impress. . .but the food is what's important, right? The sushi was good! The rolls were large, the options were creative, and everything was tasty and met expectations. I wouldn't say it's elevated sushi, where there are layers to the flavors and you go "wow". But you get your sushi and see the portions are a good size and are happy that you get to dig in and eat satisfying sushi. I'd come back here again, especially for casual sushi where you want good value. Service was good as well - again, nothing fancy or overly attentive, but perfectly adequate for the level of restaurant. Also, it came pretty quickly, which was a plus as well (it wasn't that crowded when we went).

We grabbed the menus ourselves from a nearby table. We originally wanted to try their AYCE, but since the whole table had to participate, and one of us wasn't that hungry, we decided to order a la carte. We're glad we did. The 3 of us were already stuffed after sharing an appetizer and 4 signature rolls. The sweet potato tempura came out piping hot; the batter wasn't too thick. While the dipping sauce lacked flavor, the dish was still ok, and not too oily. We're impressed by the number of signature rolls they offered, and tried to pick something we hadn't seen at other sushi restaurants. My favorite was the lobster tail tempura that came with the Boujee rolls. It was tasty with a light batter. The plating was beautiful. The torched salmon, shrimp tempura and spicy tuna were good as well, but I didn't really see any real crab inside. The Skittles roll was pretty delicious, too. I liked that it had unagi, crab, tobiko, and avocado among other things. The Umami roll also had unagi and carb, but the salmon skin and bonito flakes were what made the roll special. My daughter didn't care for the salmon skin, though. The Black Mamba was interesting if you liked softshell crab. I didn't care for the macadamia nuts, though. Portion size was huge. However, their rolls weren't rolled very tightly nor cut evenly, and their rice was on the sweeter side as other Yelpers had mentioned. Since most of the rolls had similar sauces, they kind of tasted very similar, despite the different ingredients. I wouldn't mind coming back again to try other items on their menu when I'm in the area.
