Ordered a macchiato with almond milk and honey, and ended up getting a half assed coffee that wasn't even complete, i literally got a cup of espresso but was charged for a more expensive cup. I AM LACTOSE INTOLERANT I CANNOT HAVE DAIRY PRODUCTS. This was my first and LAST time ordering here and everyone reading this should do the same, because they clearly don't care about our orders or our satisfaction. Latte and "The Sandwich" in the AM, Superfood Salad and Cortado in the PM. I forget what was on espresso today but I'll say it's the first time I actually enjoyed something from Greenway. Either that bean was nice or Dandelion just has the magic touch because I've never really been a fan of GW's selection until today. Food was surprisingly really good. I don't mean that offensively in any way, it's just that coffeeshops tend to fall short in the kitchen since it's not their forté. Mixed feelings about the salad being served in a big mixing bowl. Not sure if I should see it as a "hipster" thing or them just trying to be practical with minimal dishes being used. I'm not even mad tho, it was really tasty and satisfying to say the least. Professional staff was also a nice change from the norm. Not at all full of themselves like a lot of other places. Or at least that was my initial impression. We started with barista recommended coffees with almond milk. Best cup of flavorful, hot coffee. I've recently moved to a nutritarian diet while my husband is keto. We were both able to find dishes to eat and stay within our diet, but even add a semi-healthy cheat for those diets. Locally sourced, neighborhood feel in the city. Dandelion. Most adults think of it as a pesky weed that pops up in your lawn. When I was a kid, there was just something beautiful about this little flower that sprouted up in random places. I would grab them any chance I can get and blow a wish on them. To me, dandelions is hope, youthful joy, and warmth. When I was about to pull up to the parking lot, you can see the dandelions on the sign and on the windows. When I parked, I could see the dandelion-like light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. When I sat at the table, there were flowers similar to physical features as a dandelion. The dandelions on the giant, yellow mug. The dandelions on the to go cups and boxes. There was an immense amount of detail that went into making this cafe feel inviting, warm, and hopeful. I commend them at that. Now, for the food: Golden Monkey Tea: 5/5 - It came with a timer. It was a large pot of tea. It was fragrant, warm, and delightful. Veggie Scramble: 4/5 - The eggs could be fluffier. The toppings were delicious. I wish the goat cheese was more pungent. It was mild in flavor in comparison to goat cheese from other places. The poppy seed toast which was unique; it was crispy, buttery-flavor but not greasy. Roast Pork Panini: 5/5 - The focaccia bread had the most perfect crust from the press: extremely crispy without being burnt. The sliced pork was very thick cut and good portion; it was perfectly cooked. The red pepper remoulade were little bombs of flavors in your mouth. Overall, Dandelion is a five stars. The food was delicious and a lot of care was put into cooking it. The ingredients were high quality. The service was friendly and quick. It is a great place to catch up with a friend or even study. This will definitely be one of my go-to places. I just wish they have extended hours. read more

As an infrequent patron of three years, I would say the only constant is this cafe's coffee, which remains spot on. Amaya clearly knows how to roast a coffee bean, and I have never been disappointed by a cappuccino, latte, or black Americano here (despite having a general distaste for black coffee in general). The food menu has been a work in progress, but I think the management is finding out which items have really taken with the customers and which haven't. Their Bellaire Basic is a solid breakfast choice and for the most part it hasn't changed. Two eggs made up however you like, two slices of your choice of bread, two of whatever meat you choose, pan-fried potatoes, and even your choice of spread. What more could you want? I will say, however, that the taste of this item depends on who is making it and when. The first time I had the Bellaire Basic, the potatoes were spiced with a happy balance of salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme but I had been the only patron at the time, and now that the place gets a lot busier I've gotten anywhere from bland potatoes to salty potatoes. Their sandwiches are nice as well and the first thing that impressed me when I ordered a club sandwich is the place gives you a separate little container of housemate pickles. I don't know the exact spices, but I imagine they use cinnamon or possibly ginger to give the sweet and salty brine a welcome kick. Love the pickles, and I'm glad they're here to stay. Another one of the sandwiches (which I am relieved is no longer on the menu) is the Bellaire Banh Mi. I had so many mixed feelings about this item as a Vietnamese-American because I truly believed Dandelion Cafe had the makings for a killer banh mi (considering pickled carrots and radishes are an essential component of any well put-together banh mi). However, instead of grilled beef/chicken/pork on a toasted french baguette, I was greeted with a braised pork more typically common in thit kho (a braised pork and egg dish meant to be served with rice) and on a hoagie bun. Again, so relieved it's not on the menu, but I would like to see it come back with revisions. As for their smoothies, I whole-heartedly recommend the Percolator for that coffee-chocolately banana taste it has going on and the honey berry for the sweet-tooths out there. Although I don't get these as often as their coffee drinks, the smoothies have also been here and are here to stay. Love the decor, by the way. I still remember when this place was sparsely decorated and it's been a blast seeing this place grow and bloom. Finally, a work place NOT in the montrose area!! As much as I love montrose coffee shops, that area is SATURATED with them, so it was actually pretty refreshing to me when my friend suggested I try this place for some studying. My friend told me about it initially, when I told her I was wanting to find some study spots in Houston, since I am planning on spending part of my med school exam study time here. (She knows that parking and space are two of my pet peeves about coffee places), so she def knew what she was talking about when she recommended this place! I had also seen their menu at a local brunch event where I tried their homemade chai, and decided I definitely had to give this place a try! Their homemade chai is delicious, it has an extra depth of spice that I really appreciated. I have yet to have their food items, so cannot comment on that quite yet, but they seem to have a good range of food options! I like that it's a combination of food and drinks. They have a combination of outdoor/indoor seating, bar seating, regular tables, etc. I do not remember if there were an abundance of outlets? There may be a few, but I wasn't particularly looking. They are located right next to Bernie's burger bus, so if you're familiar with that area off of Holcombe/Bellaire, you know that there's some good things in that area. They share a parking lot with the other stores in the complex. It's not the most abundant, but I don't think it's ever been full to the point where I've had to look elsewhere. I like this place b/c it's light, cute, quaint, and QUIET. I will definitely be coming here on future visits to Houston and for my study days. read more

If you are looking for a place where to relax, study, chill with friends or whatever, this coffee shop would be the best. This shop's ambiance was extremely calming, and the staff was extremely knowledgeable. This place is amazing! They offer a variety of coffee, teas, juices, smoothies, mimosas and cocktails, and a variety of breakfast! They have the best chai tea ever! I am literally a chai tea lover, and their chai tea is delicious! Its taste is way better than Starbucks' chai teas. The service was excellent, and the selection of coffee served in the ambiance was delightful. They showed the best attitude to its customers. Internet connection is very fast. Like I said, this coffee shop is indeed a great place to kill your time, do business, and to study as well. It is a unique coffee shop, the decorations were so cute and very original, they have dandelion lights all around, and I think it gives the shop an amazing environment, especially if you love flowers. We tried an assortment of cheese & jalapeno, cinnamon & raisin, and the kitchen sink. They are a really good appetizer option when you are waiting on the main breakfast! Price: 3 for $2 or $0.75 each. Rating: 5 - Special* Strawberry Cream infused French Toast Brioche: This was heavenly. The two slices of brioche were huge and a nice pairing with everything. The dish was served up with a strawberry syrup and the brioche was covered in a strawberry cream cheese, fresh cut strawberries and powdered sugar. Huge serving and well worth the price! Price: $15 Rating: 5+ - The Sandwich: This is the ultimate bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a pretzel bun, literally a pretzel-shaped bun! The bread was delicious, the bacon was crispy, and the eggs and cheese were a perfect flavor and consistency. I will say that they sandwich is actually in need of a fork and knife for consumption though. The pretzel shape tends to fall apart when you pick it up. If you want water, you can grab some for yourself via the water dispenser at the front of the restaurant. While this is a very cute water dispenser, I recommend a easier one to use. This thing poured water too slowly! The ATMOSPHERE: It's a small little café, which I like. It's slightly modern and the flower-like lighting fixtures are adorable. I do think they can stand to have a few more tables and chairs in there though. I felt like there was a huge open space right in the middle of everything and it made dining in feel a little strange. The good news is their toilet didn't flush which is good for conserving water. They slapped a napkin on my plate underneath my bowl of fruit. ‍ I see this place has many great reviews.
