Came back in for a taco Tuesday after many years of being out of the area. There was plenty of open spaces to sit where you wanted, a little hot for the patio, but it has a ton of space. It was clean and the World Cup game was on, but it wasn't overly loud. Since it being taco day, I got a few tacos and even though they are not .50 anymore, they were still good. I was the only one at the table that ordered tacos, but everyone else enjoyed their food as well, even the kids. The waitress was super nice and was there whenever we needed something. The restaurant has new workers. A lot of them are young. Ours was quite busy yet did get us everything we asked for. The food was good when it finally came, it sure took a while. I witnessed a young worker bus tables and not even clean them nor did he sweep the floor. It stayed that way the entire time we were there. The seat I sat on had no cushion left and it actually was hard to sit on. The furniture is very run down and needs to be replaced. If you own a bar/restaurant, you should maintain it and keep it clean. This never has been clean any of the times I've been here. read more

Side salad had a strand of hair. I discreetly let the waitress know. She was apologetic and offered to replace the salad. No Thank You. Dayshift Bartender stays until close gets blitzed loud obnoxious annoying and the owners are so unprofessional they've done nothing to prevent embarrassment on their behalf. Nightshift bartenders seem cool and fun. Although they put their life on the line dealing with drunk and dangerous patrons. Homeless people hang out and threaten patrons not a safe environment at all. Good thing they have some good Bartenders to keep the peace. Well at least try to. Only so much they can do. I won't be taking my business there anymore. Food not so great and owners/mgmt do not care about the employees and they are nonexistent. Save tour money and go to a better establishment. Absolutely atrocious, the bartender was more concerned about serving and having a good time sigh his friends than with posting customers. I waited 15 minutes and got them to pass me 7 times before they took my drink order. I ordered one drink they brought something that was more alcohol than the anything else and hard to drink. The beer was flat and tasted old. I waited another 15 minutes for them to come back and take my food order which was bland tasteless and unappealing. I had mosquitos flying around my arm at one time. No wonder they had absolutely no one there. The cherry on top was the slot machines and not a single manager came to ask how we were doing. This place is sad but could have mad potential. read more

Looked like they'd been boiled, and were greasy too! The best of both worlds! Recooked 6 on gas grille outside, then tried toaster oven on last 6 (bad idea). BLT was OK, waitress was nice, but Whoa Daddy! I'd stay away from their food! It's just a bar, that used to be good. Boiled & Greasy Chicken Wings, I didn't think that was even possible. Went in on Sunday beginning of Chiefs game.. Waited over 30 minutes at the bar to order food ..got tired of waiting...went to the servers station and ordered a Ruben with Mac n cheese Sat back down at the bar..2 or 3 minutes later the bar tender comes over in a huff...she asked how come I hadn't ordered from her...I said I kept holding my menu up in the air and sometimes waving it and she had never stopped entertaining people at the end of the bar...she asked what I wanted and I told her I ordered with a server already...she said I should go sit in her section then.. I said with my eye sight I needed to sit close so I could see the game She said go sit in her section or get out... I couldn't believe this skinny blond was even working as any kind of hospitable server.. Located in the Legends area this is a decent place if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat. We had the wings, house salad, and fried shrimp. The wings were ok. Not super crispy and a little too mushy for my taste. They did however have decent ranch. I did like the house salad and fried shrimp though. Both tasted fresh but the shrimp is small. Ehhh ... mediocre bar food and average service ... decent setup inside , probably would be a good spot to watch a ballgame and have a beer . Food was just ok , we had several different items ... ( 7 people) white ccq with taco meat , kinda of soupy but chips were good , had half the ccq left and couldn't get our chips refilled . Two different chicken wraps both were decent but nothing special . Mini cheeseburgers seemed to be the best item our group tried , bigger than expected and onion rings were above avg ... Danny burrito was a good size but again just avg , grilled cheese was 90% bread 10% cheese ... service was ok , young lady was pleasant and working hard , but seemed to need some help. Came here because it was on the inaugural KCK TACO TRAIL list. Thank goodness it's been removed for 2023 because it definitely doesn't deserve to be on the list! Yes, they have tacos and some "southwest " food in the menu, but it's terrible. Nothing we ordered from that part of the menu was good. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for Mexican food & margaritas. Great dinner and great service! We enjoyed the garlic cheese curds, a hand breaded pork tenderloin with tots, and a French dip with fries. Food came out super fast, and was all delicious! If you want to try this place you probably should do it soon. We found this one on-line and put a group together to go try some of the food. The menu looked pretty appetizing so we all agreed and loaded up some cars and went. There was a total of 8 of us. We understand this a quite a bit for some restaurants... but this is a family style bar and grill. This should be no problem. We were wrong about that. It took 20 minutes to get seated after our arrival. I did call to let them know to expect us. Apparently they thought of that just as a reservation that they don't take. So it was ignored. Regardless we got sat placed our order... some of us even got our food... then we were asked to move from the table that they had put us at to a very crowded booth with an extra chair put at it. This was of course due to a party coming in with 20+ people. Apparently the no reservation policy was void when they wanted it to be. That is ok... we are friendly people and didn't mind getting close to each other even with the difficulty in eating. The food was as good as you would get in any ordinary mom and pop diner anywhere. Which means just normal. Not bad... but definitely not good. And out of the eight of us... we must have missed the items that really makes this place worth eating at. I tasted from several plates and ordered two small things myself. Personally I would not refuse is someone else said they wanted to eat with me there... but they aren't on my list of places I would go to through my choices. The service - Oh boy... these kids (and I mean that) didn't know hardly anything about taking orders, circling back, customer service, timely responses, etc... Is a fairly large bar and grill. Pretty extensive menu for a bar. It's a full restaurant menu. I've been eating here for years and can't ever recall a bad meal. If there is a KU game or other big game it will be packed. Service is usually pretty good but can be spotty at time. I think that is typical for any bar wait staff. Always gonna have a few issues. Again, pretty good food with plenty of choices. Burgers, chicken tenders, sandwiches, tacos.. just a few of the options. read more

I honestly don't know how people have given such low ratings for this place. I was promptly greeted and sat down immediately. My server, Dallas, was friendly, quick, and got everything correct. Keep in mind, this was on a chiefs game day when the bar was even busy. My friend and I ordered the cheese curds and pretzels. This is where the 4 stars come in. They weren't the greatest and I don't think we'd get them again. The chicken sandwich however was TO DIE FOR. Get the build your own and add the garlic parmesan sauce and you won't regret it. I posted a photo of how large the breast was that even came on my sandwich. I took half of the meal home. Overall, I'd come back here and enjoy some more food! Hands down one of the worst experiences in recent days. Host took our drink order because we sat for 20 minutes before being acknowledged by anyone. Server showed up asked if we were ready to order, we did. My girlfriend ordered the Danny's salad with no tomatoes or onions. Salad showed up with tomato's and onions. After sitting for 20 mins she asked if we wanted the salad remade. We said yes and the salad was taken away came back within 5 mins. The chicken wouldn't cook that fast plus it was cold. Upon eating the "new" salad (it was obviously just picked through and taken off) we found a missed tomato and onion. Server was rude the entire time, food was less than ok. Tab was a good size and being in the industry I usually over tip. But this was beyond terrible and unacceptable. We were one of 5 tables in the restaurant. I live across the street and could be a regular but this is the second time it's been this way for us. read more

This was my first time at Danny's in a couple of years. I always remembered it as having pretty good food. Tonight, I met a friend there for dinner. All I wanted was a good burger and a cold beer. The burger was the worst I have ever had! It was dry (I ordered medium-rare). They must use frozen patties. Mine had no pink in the middle, no flavor (seasonings?), and it was just Yuk! The fries were also probably out of a bag and were cold and flavorless. So disappointed! I should have sent everything back, but instead, I left 3/4 of the burger and all but a couple of fries. Ugh! The "on tap" beer was good and cold, but I sure wish it was served in a cold mug instead of a plastic cup. read more
