man back in the day this used to be that late night spot. "If you know you know" this was the "Currry Out" after the clubs let out, stayed open till 3am, steak and cheese subs $5. Four wings (fried hard) with fries and mumbo sauce. $6. The whole menu was like under $10. Then the neighbors moved in . Price went up started closing early.. the food pretty much stayed the same. The service has never really been bad or great, just is. If you hungry and want DMV food this will hit. Dont expect to much in tearms of high expectations. Bottom line I used to live off the food (Budget friendly) now its a treat to eat this food every now and again. Everything is good. Ordered carry out from here and it was delicious. Order was correct, hot, and very well packaged. They even put the beef and broccoli in its own bag to avoid it leaking out- really appreciated the thoughtfulness. Had the shrimp fried rice, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, and crab rangoon. It was swimming in grease for gravy. The rice was hard and overcooked like it was left over from the day before and refried and served again. We ordered Danny's the other day in the pouring rain upon the recommendation of the staff at the Hampton Inn at National Harbor. Very few times in your life will you find a place that sells Steak and Cheese sammiches, along with a full Chinese food menu, mozzarella sticks, and a full assortment of burgers. You will not find this many times in your life, but you will find it at Danny's. Nothing about Danny's really stands out as great, but I can see why Vineetha thinks that it is great drunk food. We got a Steak and Cheese, which my brother said "Surprisingly, this is actually pretty good," mozzarella sticks that tasted like they were straight from Costco (not a bad thing necessarily) and a huge styrofoam box of seasoned fries (HUGE! The large is definitely for two people). The downside with Danny's is that it's drunk people food. It's filling and gets the job done, but this is not date food. Unless your date is also really drunk the first time you meet her, which means you might not be on a traditional date... what are we talking about again? Ok, the real downside with Danny's is the delivery takes FOREVER. It seems like they don't have a lot of drivers. We called at 1:30AM and they said it was going to be 45 minutes to an hour for a burger and fries, then two days later, I called at 3:30PM and the food took an hour and 20 minutes to get to us after I was told that it would take 45 minutes. It was pouring down rain, but I'd definitely, definitely expect it to take an hour at least. $10 minimum for the delivery. read more

Yummy yummy carry out! Me and my bf have become super picky with Chinese carry out, rightfully so, but this one has not let us down after 3 visits. So far I've ordered: Rib tips (ask for sauce on top)- sooooo good and meaty not like some other places Shrimp Egg Foo Yung- the gravy is sooooo good 1/2 lemonade 1/2 iced tea mix- good, not as annoyingly sweet as some others I've had Steak and cheese egg rolls- steak, American cheese, and grilled onions on the inside, and crunchy on the outside! Some of the best I've had! To me Danny's is better than your average carryout, and that means a lot coming from me. Only reason they lost a star is because one time they stopped answering their phone 30 minutes before closing, but yet when I arrived I was able to still place an order therefore I had to wait. This is a carry out place. Delivery is going to take a while. We went in and ordered. Took only 10 mins to get our food. She ordered the Turkey Burger w Fries and a Coke ($7.25) and I got the "Happy Family" (Chinese food: steak, shrimp, lobster, chicken, and pork) $11. I added in a shrimp roll for $1.60. Pretty good overall, the place is sorta spacious but only a few tables. They really prefer you order ahead and pick it up to go. That's what this place is. They have burgers, Chinese food and desserts. It's a simple place, food is pretty good. Not amazing, not let's go out of our way to go there. Horrible Customer Service! DO NOT PATRONAGE CARRY OUTS THAT REFUSE TO DELIVER TO YOUR DOOR PLEASE...I just moved in the area and heard Danny's has the better chinese food available. After waiting more than an hour (delivery time was supposed to be 45 mins) The driver called and told me to come to the car. Seriously?!? I told him to come to the door and he refused, hung up on me and left. I called to ask for the supervisor who is apparently never there and the unknown worker who refused to give me the name of the driver and her name hung up on me too. They are very rude and curt. They are liars and I wouldn't trust them, not even with my food. I found out that a lot of the chinese food places there refuse to deliver the food as advertised but continue to get business because we settle for this substandard service. I can bet any amount of money they get out of there cars to service the National Harbor visitors. We shouldn't accept this. Stop allowing these places to give out less than perfect service and DON'T USE THEM. Buy a wok and you'll probably be healthier in the end. If I can give them zero stars I would. I've gotta say this is probably on my list of top drunk food places. It's sooooo great, and I'm not just saying that because I eat there when I'm intoxicated; I have had these egg rolls in a sober state of mind, and they're still so great! I have been to other Chinese restaurants in which I have experienced them having bad attitudes. My boyfriend puchased shrimp &scallops with veggies last night, the shrimp were tainted and I called to tell the store I would be bringing it back. The manager told me she completely understood but would not give me a refund. Shrimp were terribly tainted and we purchased many times before and she,would not consider a refund.
