We were just looking for a place to grab a quick bite. Danny's restaurant is an amazing place to grab a bite to eat! We got there and immediately got a server at our table. I can't remember the servers name but he did an excellent job of making sure we had everything we needed. He got our order exactly right and boy oh boy was the food good! I got the ham and egg scramble and it comes with 3 eggs. I usually don't eat that much but I ate almost all of it! It's was just that good! Can't wait to eat there again. read more

I decided to try a new place on my way to Carmel since I live in Morgan Hill. The staff was super friendly when I got there to pick up the food! We had just shopped at the outlet Mall and were looking to eat. I'd read about this place on Yelp, so we tried it. It's just American fare, but a whole lot better than Big Bear(which is OK). Conrad tried liver&onions, and it was great. Felicia had chicken fried steak, which was also outstanding. I took a flier on fish & chips. It was made with tilapia instead of cod on pollock, whish I wasn't at all sure about. Superb. Plenty of substance; breaded just right with spectacular fries. Found this place when a yelp notafaction showed up on my phone. I was hungery and lazy so I went. GREAT MOVE!! The food was great and so were the people who work there. Had country fried steak w/mashed potatoes, chickennoodle soup. Best soup I've ever had. The country steak was very tasty and the gravy was off the chart. Went back for breakfast the next morning and was very happy again. Pancakes were great, which is hard to find. I've been back four more times, twice with friends and they agreed the food and the help are greet. If your hungry for breakfast, lunch, or dinner anywhere Gilroy, check it out. This place has good food and a good atmosphere!! My boyfriend and I had breakfast here and everything was delicious. I had a breakfast sandwich and he had the ham scramble with sausage and bacon. To begin with, its with great sadness and dissapointment that we write this review. On Sunday January 19th, my parents went to Dany's restaurant for sunday morning breakfast. They have been eating at Dany's for breakfast several times a month since their opening. Up until now, they have had nothing but good things to say When they arrived there was no wait, and two tables availabe. One sat two people located directly across from the restroom, and the other sat four located away from the restroom. Although they were a party of two, the chose the table for four away from the bathroom as they did not wish to dine next to a restroom (this is a seat yourself establishment) When they sat down, to their surprise they were asked to move to the table for two, located next to the bathroom. When my mother explained her reasoning for choosing the larger table, they server said she would "check to see if that was okay with the waitress". A few minutes later, the waitress showed up and continued to insist they move tables. My family decided if they going to be forced to dine next to the bathroom, they would not be dining at Dany's any more. Furthermore, there was no one else waiting and multiple other parties of 2 were seated at larger tables. Unless you want to be forced to dine next to the bathroom, avoid this place. read more

We went to Dany's restaurant the first time it opened up and the food was awful we order chicken enchiladas and when we got the food it was burned. So after that visit we said we wouldn't go back. But then we heard from friends of ours and they said the food was A lot better. So we tried it again today and the food was so bad we had to send it back twice. I was taking my daughter clothes shopping last Sunday and we got hungry. I remember somebody mentioning this hole in the wall restaurant called Dany's by Wal-Mart. We got there about noon and it was very busy. We chose to sit at this small table instead of waiting. All the staff seemed friendly and had smiles on their faces. There must be a lot of regulars as everybody was saying hi and city chatting to eachother and the manager was stopping by tables and shaking hands and giving hugs to people. I browsed through their menu nor knowing if I wanted lunch or breakfast. Their prices were reasonable and the menu looked good. They had some Mexican dishes on the menu and also serve Menudo on Saturdays and Sundays. If you go on Sunday and want Menudo, you need to go early. We were there at noon and they ran out. I had asked about it when we say down. I guess they had enough for one more bowl. The waitress came by and asked if I was going to order the Menudo since I had asked about it, because another customer was asking too. She said I had first priority since I asked first. I told her I was really curious to see how it tasted as I asked if they had a small bowl instead of the regular bowl. I told her to let the other customer have it. She said I'll bring you a little sample so you can taste it. The flavor was good, but I'm a little biased as I'm use to the way my aunt and my ex make Menudo. Instead I ordered the chorizo omelette and asked them to add cilantro and onions. It also came with country potatoes and pancakes. My daughter ordered a ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and pancakes. She also ordered some mozzarella sticks. The food was very good and service was great. We will be coming back to this restaurant and exploring the menu more. Happy Eating !!!! read more

Went in to get a dinner to go for the first time. The top of the dinner page said choice of baked potatoes or mash potatoes and Soup or salad. So I ordered the spaghetti with mash potatoes and salad. I was told that the spaghetti didn't come with baked potatoes​ or mash potatoes only soup or salad. I asked the server if the spaghetti was a dinner, she said yes. Then it should come with a baked potatoes or mashed potatoes. She then pointed out about 4 items out of at least 15 items on the dinner page that comes with a baked potatoes or mashed potatoes. The other dinner items did not. More disappointed then pissed. Don't advertise something thats not true. Won't be going back, to many other restaurants in Gilroy. read more

The scrambled eggs with cheese are perfect and the best I have ever had. All of the food was very fresh, and the potatoes in hash brown and country style were delicious. Yesterday was the second time my family ate at this place. Again, we were not disappointed! My husband ordered the Prime Rib (which they have on Friday and Saturday) I shared a bit with him and it was delicious! Flavor was on point. Great service, great food and big portions. After seeing the new business signs my husband and I decided to check out the new restaurant. I loved the variety and availability of breakfast all day. The prices were reasonable for the portions. I chose the baked lasagne dinner special and my husband opted for a chicken salad. I will start out by saying some of the food was delicious and the service was excellent. My husband and I went for breakfast. The eggs were perfect, the hash browns were delicious although a bit greasy. The bacon was very salty, the sausage was good. The biscuits and gravy had a very strange flavor. Not sure if the gravy was bad or just something they put in their recipe, but it wasn't good. The reason this place gets only one star is due to the cockroach that scurried across the floor while we were eating. The waiter quietly picked it up with a napkin, but that was it for us. Super underwhelming food. Random menu. Came here for dinner because my family wanted to try it since they heard it was new. The first thing that struck me was the décor- all the paint and wall adornments of the old Mexican place that used to be here were still up so it was kind of a weird vibe. I ordered the California burger, my mom ordered a pasta dish, and my sister got the French toast. We all agreed that the food was pretty bland. Not terrible but just not the best. Their breakfast menu did look good though, so maybe I'll update this review if I come back and try it. However, will not be returning for lunch or dinner. Always great and speedy service. Never an issue with my orders or bill. I was a bit anxious about the self seating part as I wasn't sure anyone would notice that we arrived.
