Not the best experience but because of the service I'll give them another try. We choose Danny's because the folks in the AAA office, right next door, recommended it. The service was quick and efficient but the food was very bland. I orders steak and eggs which also included a side of pancakes and bacon. The pancakes and bacon were on point while the steak and eggs were bland. It's as if someone forgot that it was ok to season it. I did not bring it to the attention of the staff, mainly because I didn't want to wait, but also I just added some salt for some semblance of flavor. I did sample the my partners creek of broccoli soup and that was fantastic. So as you can read, it was bland but due to the service I'll give them another shot because maybe they were having a bad day. Who ago us hasn't had a bad day and we we are you just want people to extend you some grace. I'm extending grace :) read more

Not bad, but a little pricey. Me and my wife ordered some sandwiches and some albondigas meatball soups (which was amazing) and our bill was about $60. The waitress was super nice and welcoming. The fact that their air conditioning was off on a hot day made it a little uncomfortable to enjoy our meal. Would definitely come back for the soup and to try something else on their menu. read more

Found this place on yelp as we were passing through going back home. The food was great, the prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They did have a variety of different types of food. Being pregnant I wanted to try it all. We will definitely come back here if we're in the area again. My husband and I came here for dinner while the munchkin was at a sleepover. Food was super tasty. People working here were nice and friendly. We splurged and had dessert...I love bread pudding. It was tasty. Place was clean. Hoping to make it back for breakfast sometime soon. They had PB and banana pancakes on the special board. Gotta try those! I found out about Dany's after my friend had them cater food for their wedding. I had them cater food for my dad's birthday and they made the drive from Gilroy all the way to Mountain View. The food was amazing. I had no idea they were in Gilroy and I have lived in Gilroy for a few years. The food is always amazing and they are always very friendly. Walking up to Dany's Restaurant, we were warmly greeted and given a seat immediately. We sat down, we're given menus and as soon as we ordered, salads were delivered. The food was delicious!! I came here for lunch and ordered the taco salad. It wasn't a total disappointment, however, there are some areas for improvement.. like, the ground beef lacked flavor (it needed seasoning).. tomatoes, green onions and olives were cut too big (My olives were literally cut in half)... and better quality of cheese. I would recommend adding guacamole to this dish. On the flip side, the beans were good, salad n veggies were fresh, and the taco shell was cooked perfectly. I also Had some onion rings that were amazing. I can definitely see why people rate this place so high. The three stars are based on one dish I had, but I'll be back to try something else. read more

We had a great experience having dinner here- we were returning from a wknd in Monterey and needed a place to grab dinner that's fairly quick, easy access off the Hwy, and kid- friendly. This place exceeded our expectations. The kids cleaned their plates (both loved the kids spaghetti), the adults both enjoyed their meals and we also cleaned their plates, the service was excellent and everything was reasonably priced. They even treated my daughter with a free mini slice of cake since we couldn't agree on which dessert to order (and of course she wanted the double chocolate cake). This is a very good restaurant, the food is absolutely delicious! You would never know how good the food is based on the look of the restaurant but it is very delicious and surprising. We stopped here on our way to the Stanford Mall. My daughter loved the chocolate chip pancakes. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito and thought it was fantastic. My older daughter ordered pasta with butter and Parmesan. She thought it was average as it was a little too buttery. I ordered the tri tip sandwich, which was pretty good.
