Dany's serves rubbery pancakes and the forks are weirdly small but who cares because this place is IMMACULATELY CLEAN. Clean tables, clean chairs, clean floor. The salt and pepper shaker tops are kept clean. Who does that any more? Even the syrup bottle they keep on the table isn't sticky. I HAD to find something wrong, so I wiped my fingers across the top of a picture frame in the men's room. Guess what? I didn't find a hint of dust. I wept with joy as angels sang. Seriously, these folks go above and beyond on cleanliness. I don't really care about picture frame dust, but it's a good sign these people care about their facility. I always wonder how clean the kitchen can be in places with filthy restrooms. My waitress was a bit slow to take my order, but once placed my breakfast arrived fresh and hot. I loved that even the bussing staff kept my water glass full, and ask patrons if we need anything. Atmosphere was great and had a mom & pop family owned business feel. Staff was super friendly and welcoming! My Gilroy friend recommended Dany's. When you enter, seat yourself at a choice of small booths or tables. There is a sandwich board that details the daily specials at the entrance. We opted for a BLT sandwich w/onion rings, $10.50, Philly Cheesesteak w/onion rings ($11.50), and Chile Colorado ($13.00). Food was plentiful and delicious. Service was very friendly and genuine. Sometimes you can just tell that folks running the place are nice people. This is one of those places. I ordered one of their scramble egg dishes via doordash. The app required me to pick either hash brown or potatoes. I don't like either one of them in general. So I picked one of them in the app and left a note saying "please no potatoes". When I received my order, I noticed they put a nice fruit bowl/cup in there for me. I thought that was very nice. Thank you. The food was decent, and the bacon was great! This is a great place for branch, the beef omelette suit for my Asian tough, especially the potatoes tastes great, and it include two pan cakes, really too much for one person. The eggs for omelette need to go with some spicy source, the same for two eggs with waffles. Suggest two person share one beef omelette. The food is outstanding! Excellent salsa, that tastes homemade. I love their biscuits and gravy breakfast. It is served with eggs, potatoes and delicious biscuits and gravy, plus bacon or sausage. The home fries are made with red potatoes and are nicely cooked and spiced. The coffee is good, would prefer half and half to the artificial creamer. Service is excellent, friendly and welcoming. Came here with my wife for a nice Saturday night dinner. We got the mozzarella sticks, soup of the day (seafood chowder), tri tip dinner, and chicken Jerusalem. The mozzarella sticks were a bit undercooked, not melted in the middle but still good. The soup was very flavorful and the entrees were great. We stopped onto this restaurant for a late lunch as we passed through Gilroy and could not have been more please. The little family owned restaurant was maybe not the fanciest establishment, with what looked like storage being utilized in any corner available, but the couple who owned it were most hospitable and courteous. The restrooms clean and the food, delicious! My husband ordered the Dany burger prepared with cheese, onion and jalapeño and it was very good! Moist and cooked well! The onion rings were crisp and not at all greasy. I ordered the chilaquiles with Chile verde and over easy eggs. These were delicious! The sauce was absolutely delectable and you can tell it was prepared with love! The home made flavor came across and the tender chunks of pork were delicious! Usually great place with excellent service. Today the server seemed disinterested in us. Ordered Taco Salad and Linguica Skillet. Coffee never refilled, tortillas never arrived, waitress never returned. I don't know if we upset her somehow. Currently sharing my tortilla crust with husband as he isn't getting paid attention to at all. I'm not sure if we'll be back, which is a shame cos I usually love it here. Someone had recommended this place to my family so we decided to give it a try. The Chile verde chilaquiles were really good and the kids pancakes were okay. I would have given it 4 stars but the service was a little mediocre. They're actually friendly and make you feel welcome, but they lack order and communication. We ordered two coffees and after more than 5 minutes of receiving our food, we asked for the coffees and the waitress came back to our table with a notepad and asked what we wanted to drink again. I thought she wrote it down the first time we ordered? I also asked for some sour cream and it seemed that the waitress wasn't sure what they had or not. She looked a little confused. Last-minute decision to eat here because it was close to a place we we're doing business at. Upon entering there were only two other customers. The restaurant had a very old and dingy feel to it. The gentleman who waited on us was very nice. The food arrived within 15 minutes. I ordered the Chile Relleno with rice and beans. My chili relleno was so greasy that I could barely eat it. The rice had too much tomato sauce and was sticky. My husband had the chili Verde. He took a few bites- he did not like it. It didn't taste right. He loves Chile Verde and this was disappointing. Ok so the food is ok, but what really makes this a bad experience is the service, dirty dishes, and that they allow customers to use the phones on speaker so everyone can hear their conversations, I mean can anyone just enjoy going out to a nice meal and enjoy real human conversation. My wife and I sat in our booth this morning and two girls behind us put their school class on speak (loud) and this was ok with employees. My coffee came in that traditional dinner mug but in off white and you could clearly see the old coffee ring. I was able to rub it off partially so I know dishes are not washed properly. Later a male adult came in and in the booth behind my wife and he started a conversation over the phone on speaker phone, WTF? We committed to not eating there again.
