I order lunch from Daphne's once a week. The lemon/chicken/rice soup is not exactly avgolemono from my grandmother's recipe ... but it's delicious. I could eat about a gallon ... and it's available as a side order in the combo meals. The salads (topped with your choice of protein) are big, fresh, and delicious. They also offer about a zillion ways to customize them with toppings. I am a fan of the falafel salad, but the gyro and chicken souvlaki options are just as delicious. They include warm pita wedges as well; soft, pillowy and perfect for dipping in hummus. Their hummus is good; not great, but serviceable and definitely worth the price. I recommend it for a delicious, fresh, Greek style lunch. read more

Best Mediterranean/Greek food in the IE hands down! I just had the Greek Feta Burger and it was delicious! Haven't been this impressed in awhile but Daphne's always delivers. The chicken soup was the best chicken soup I've ever had!!! It had a zesty, lemony hint to it and it was thick, not like that watery chicken soup you get in a can. The gentleman that took our order (I didn't get his name) but he was the cashier on December 13th, 2022 around 7PM, that guy took great care of my wife and I. He had recommended that I get the burger, and man was he right!! He went above and beyond to make sure the food was hot and brought it straight to our table. Throughout the time we were eating, he came to our table several times to check and see if we needed anything. Excellent customer service, and it's sad you don't see more people that care as much as he did. To the cashier, I appreciate you bro. We will definitely come back. Lastly, I have to shoutout the cook. There was one gentleman cooking and preparing our meals. It came out hot, delicious, and well-proportioned. I didn't see management around so I'm assuming he/she has trust for the cashier and cook running the place, because they didn't lack/disappoint at all! read more

the portions are now meager, the presentation is terrible for the premium price paid for fast food mediterranean food. There's a better place down the street by Haven market. I'll go there next time. I have no idea why I even came to this place, it's not what it used to be a few years ago. What mediterranean place has no garlic sauce either? And you only get half a pita bread? Come on man I know the economy is in the tank and things are more expensive but if you're going to raise prices keep the damn platter the same stop reducing the portions and yet still raise the prices. read more

Got the hummus and pita with lemon soup. I dont understan why, but the hummus was served refigerated cold with warm pita bread. Aaand tge hummus isnt good, store brand would have been far better. The lemon soup is tart, which i should have expected. Nothing wrong just not my cup of tea. Nearly burned myself after driving 10 minutes and trying a eat when going back to wotk. Which means it was served nearly boiling hot. To make matters from bad, to never coming back, the manager was interacting with staff and customers with no mask, whilst his staff was wearing masks. Well atleast one was wearing theres properly, and the other cook was "wearing" his mask below the nose. read more

I was visiting Rancho for a business meeting and could not stop my craving for Mediterranean. Since I don't know the area very well, I went straight to my trusty handbook - Yelp. Once again, Yelp, you did not disappoint. You brought me to Daphne's; a fast casual Mediterranean concept with a fresh and hip take on one of my favorite cuisines. Upon entering I was instantly greeted by a member of Daphne's friendly staff. He assured me that the most popular dish is the Classic Greek Plate, so I put trust in my peers and dove in. This plate is served with all your Mediterranean favorites, including: choice of protein (mine was chicken), a Greek salad, basmati rice, roasted vegetables, and tzatziki or garlic sauce. Absolutely fantastic meal. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the pita bread tasted freshly baked.. but the real rockstar was the roasted cauliflower and zucchini. If veggies tasted anything like this growing up I would have never complained. I was a little bummed that the dish did not come with a small side of hummus. This place is soooo delicious. Visiting Ontario for the day and ordered takeout/delivery through yelp app. I had the hummus bowl and my friend had the mixed plate. Food was fresh, expertly prepared, tasty, delivered hot. Pita was pillowy soft and perfect. Wish I could pack this place and take it home with me! Pretty good Cali Pita sandwich. Probably the best I've had in a while. meat was seasoned well, pita was soft and the sauce coMplemented it well. Sadly, it lost as star as the restaurant was grubby, old rice on the floor, unclean tables, etc. Shame. It wasn't busy, staff were just standing around. This place has gone down hill. Used to have great food and good customer service. Now they suck. Calling in an order I was put on hold over 2min. Call back and they hang up on me. Wait a bit and call back again and she pretends she can't hear me. Finally get my order in, not completely because she's acting like she can't hear anytime I ask to add on or change part of my order. Pick up my food and They didn't give me my salad dressing or taziki sauce. The spanakopita was undercooked, chewy inside and full of grease. Ordered Chicken Kabob plate. I prefer the kabobs not charred because of the carcinogenic effect. Highly recommend not to prepare as charred chicken. As someone who formerly worked for Daphnes California Greek for almost 6 or 7 years ago it says a lot for me to stick with Daphnes Greek food lol Ever since I tried their Chicken Lemon Soup, the Pita Burger and other former items they had before I left were always a delight If you have to credit someone for coming up with the fire feta fries it's me I always ate them like that as a habit and now seeing them as an actual side made my day when I came back to Cali from GA back in 2018. I've been so faithful to their foods ever since. I just wish they'd bring back the Fire feta Pita burgers and the other Falafel they had before. Hmmm don't know why my review was removed, old pictures are still up. Not really a fan of Daphne's. The flavors are not authentic, the portions pretty small and the food bland. I had the salad with falafel, my son the kids meal and my husband the wrap and none of us were really blown away. Service was nice though, our food came out in good timing and the restaurant is clean. Location is odd, tucked behind a gas station, don't thnk I'd bother to come back here. read more

Great food and even better customer service. I placed an order online for my family, went to pick it up and was advised that the order got lost somehow and wasn't ready. I'm not sure if the man who helped me was the owner or manager but since our food was not ready he gave us 20% off our order and threw in some complimentary baklava. On top of that, they were able to prepare my food very quickly. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. We've ordered from here three times since COVID and each time the food has been great. Definitely recommend this place. read more

The food tasted unclean. I noticed a long black hair strand in my food towards the end. The cooks had short hair so not sure how that got there. About 20 minutes after eating I had the runs. Massive diarrhea! Years ago I got sick from a daphnes located in San Diego. I tried to give these folks another try but never again. Food waay over priced and dirty. My gut is totally off now. Worse part is I am pregnant so both me and my baby are at risk. read more

I really like Daphne's man. I'm not a huge fan of the entire menu but, I have my go-to's here. I love that I never leave feeling icky. There's absolutely nothing greasy on the menu. My favorites are simple, chicken street pita with a lemon chicken soup. I smother everything in their tzatziki sauce. Ah man, that sauce is good! I honestly could just dip pita in the sauce all day and just eat that as a meal. The customer service isn't bad, the place is clean, and although it does get crazy busy at lunch time on weekdays, the wait still isn't too long. You can always call your order in if you're in a rush. It's a good place to go for lunch. read more

Food portion is really small. My friend got the surf and turf plate. The kabob had two pieces of steak and a bunch of veggies. They don't give a whole pita. Again portions are small and the plates are pretty pricey but every bite was delicious! The service was excellent. The ambiance was good. This place is my go-to for Mediterranean eats. I've tried the spicy chicken pita sandwich and the spicy gyro pita sandwich--both were incredibly tasty and bursting with flavor. I've also had the lemon chicken soup with the fire pita and I highly recommend everything mentioned. After the drive to get there, I ordered the Ahi salad that comes with cucumber, mango, oranges, wonton chips and a vinagrette. It was good, but I probably wouldn't order that particular salad again. I do really want to go back and order a do it yourself salad as they have a ton of ingredients that I think would make a perfect me salad. That all said, what I really loved is that they will give you the salad so it looks like the picture, OR they will chop it all up and mix it together with or without the dressing! I LOVED that part. I HATE having to cut up my salad and try to mix everything together in a bowl that is always too small, so that was great. Overall, I like the concept, the ingredients were fresh and I will go back and try some more.

Salmon was okay, Mediterranean salad was decent, but their grape leaves weren't great. I ate 1 out of 3 pieces. Should have gotten their hummus. I also didn't get any olives and pickled veggies with my order and I usually enjoy those. I also got a small piece of baklava which was a very small portion compared to what they had on their display. It was quite oily so I didn't finish it. Given that there were only 2 customers in person at the time including myself, my order still took 25 minutes. I would also advise them to clean their soda fountain. Liquid that collects at the bottom of the tray seems to be very dirty. Anywho, I would give the food 3 stars. It's so-so.

When I said "Danielle" he said "oh that was yours, the guy just left." He kind of looked at me like it was my problem to fix, so I took off after the guy and the employee followed me. $50 for less than a pound of meat? What.A.Rip.Off. We will not be returning. We've been customers…read moreof PKG for a number of years, and it was great (while it lasted). It started going downhill when they got rid of the PKG Rewards. We stopped going soon after that. For some reason, we decided to give a chance one more time a couple of days ago. Big mistake. We ordered to-go, and got the "Family Kabob Combo", 2 skewers. Since we're not big fans of their chicken, we subbed one of the chicken skewers for two Koobideh (with an upcharge of $6) and one Salmon skewer (with another upcharge of $5). The total was $45.97 + Tax ($3.56), grand total of $49.53. This would have been OK, if they gave you a reasonable amount of food for what you pay. Instead, we got a large container of rice, and two small containers of meat and vegetables. Unfortunately, as you can see from the photos, what you get meat-wise is basically extremely skimpy. The two Koobideh skewers weighed a total of 10 OZ. That's TWO of them together (see photo), not one, they weighed only 5 OZ each - barely more than a quarter pound hamburger. The Salmon "skewer" had a total of 5 pieces of salmon, each weighing only 0.8 OZ each, a total of 4 OZ! So what we got for the princely sum of $50 was 14 OZ of meat total - less than a pound, and a whole lot of rice, which costs them next to nothing. If you look at a lot of the older photos of the Koobideh skewers here on Yelp, you can see how much they have shrunk in just a few short years. My guesstimate is they're 50% smaller than they used to be, I know for sure since I bought them in the past that they used to be much larger. The price has increased 35% since we last ate here a couple of years ago, and you get 50% less food for that money, losing on both ends of the transaction. We feel cheated, to say the least. It's too bad, since we do like the taste of the food itself, it hasn't changed - what has changed is the value for what you pay. It isn't worth what they're charging for such a little bit of food (many other restaurants have gone the same way, sad to say). We won't be eating there ever again after this experience, it's impossible to enjoy a meal when you know you're being ripped off.
