Right amount of spice for extra spicy. Just enough to make you clear your throat after the initial mix.

Food review will be in pics. Service was great. Made sure you had everything you needed. Interior decor is minimalist but just right.

I came with my mom to try this place out since we pass by it often. We tried the spicy tonkotsu and the shiso ramen. Me and my mom concluded that we both like the shoyu ramen more because it had more flavor without being that milky/thic viscosity. The service was good

Goes without saying that we always get our moneys worth as a family when we come here. Our plates and bowls are usually wiped clean because we love it so much. My son is a picky eater but yet he can inhale two orders of the chicken cutlet in one sitting. This place is my daughter's favorite ramen spot. Even when we now have moved from the area we still find ourselves coming here. We have been coming here for years and it always feels like we are eating at my grandmas house. The decor and seating is comfortable. Not to mention the great service we get!! One time the manager was there and offered my kids free ice cream. This will always be a part of our favorite restaurants to eat at.

Really enjoyed my ramen! They give PLENTY of toppings! My only issue was that I wish it was more hot. It came out a bit lukewarm. They were really fast with the food and we were one of the first ones there after they opened at 5pm. The restaurant was also really clean and welcoming! I'll definitely be back!

4 stars for tasty food, big portions, and friendly staff. Ironically, I like their other food more than their ramen, though there have been some hits and misses. *** This small restaurant is located in a quiet strip mall. My bf and I usually come here on a weeknight. Otherwise, they get quite busy with guests and take out orders. Most tables seat 2-4. I like the brightly lit wooden interior. It's casual, with TVs, One Piece figurines, and alcohol bottles decorating the walls. Service is generally good. There was one employee who was super sweet and fast. Another person who might have been the owner was also kind. We've had only one hiccup in our overall dining experience. There was one time when our table didn't receive both entrees at the same time even though every other table did. We basically didn't get to eat together. APPETIZERS ORDERED - Pork Buns ($8.95 - 2 pcs). Juicy, slightly fatty, melt-in-your-mouth ribbons of pork topped with pickled onion, green onion, and a sweet and sour sauce. Delicious! The white bun was also warm and soft. - Spam & Tamago Musubi ($4.5). This was good, but hard to eat because of the sweet soy glaze drizzled on top. It got all over my hands as I was eating, and I'm sure I looked insane. Otherwise, the egg was fluffy and juicy and the spam was not too salty. The rice was perfectly chewy. - Side Salad ($6). Neatly sliced green lettuce topped with canned yellow corn and plum tomatoes. The dressing was light, cool, and refreshing the first time we got it. It was on the blander side with a hint of sesame and herbs. When we ordered it again, the dressing was out of this world! It had smoky roasted sesame, sweetness from some sort of fruit, tanginess, and a hint of spiciness from horseradish or mustard or something. ENTREES ORDERED - Beef Curry with Rice ($14.50). The beef was good and on the thicker side compared to gyudon meat. The curry was also good: savory, slightly sweet, mildly spiced, and not too salty. I really liked the carrot and potato and wished there was more of it. The rice that day was chewy, but a little soft for me. The toppings of green onion, seaweed, and half of a marinated egg were quite generous. In fact, the portion was so massive that I took half of it to go. While the side of miso soup was sort of lacking on the miso, it had a nice umami flavor. The pickled carrot and onion were alright. - Butadon ($14.50). The meat was thicker than I would have liked for a rice bowl. I didn't like the sauce at all; it was very salty and sweet. It also could have used more onion flavor. My bf said the poached egg helped balance the salt. - Cold Original Ramen ($16.50). This was a summer special that seems to have stuck year-round. Even though I don't like cold noodles in general, I enjoyed the chewy texture of this cold ramen noodle. The cherry tomatoes were fresh. Julienned cucumber was also good choice, but the wet lettuce was not for me. I thought the broth was just okay. Something about its acidity and sweetness reminded me of Italian salad dressing without the herbs. - Tonkotsu Original Ramen ($16.95). The serving was large enough for my bf and I to share. I liked the creaminess of the broth, but it was more garlicky than porky - not what I was looking for. The toppings were generous and included 4 slices of chashu instead of only 2 like most places. The chashu had good grilled flavor with a light sweetness, but the meat was harder than I liked. We made the ramen a combo by adding 2 pieces of agedashi tofu for $4. I enjoyed the silken tofu bathing in umami dashi stock. The light fry on the tofu gave it that thin layer of chewy "skin" that I go feral for! For $2, the side of plain blanched bok choy was expensive - but at least it was cooked well.

    Mi-so-hot (mild)

We tried Dashiwa Ramen and it was definitely worth it. The soups were so flavorful. I ordered the Tonkotsu with chicken, no egg, and my husband got the Mi-So-Hot mild. He didn't really care for the seaweed, but everything else was really good. I thought it was such a cute touch that the soup bowl was served on a little cutting board. For dessert, we got the mini pancake with vanilla ice cream, and it was so delicious. The pancake was stuffed with some kind of filling, which made it even better. The restaurant had a really good vibe and was clean. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. She even recommended other soups for us to try next time. We both also had the Thai milk tea, which was semi-sweet and very good. I also noticed they have lunch specials on the wall. Definitely worth trying.

Super tasty Ramen/Curry spot. First time trying out this place, the ambience was nice and clean. Loved the Studio Ghibli films playing on their TV. The wall decor was simple and cohesive, the other tv had their menu or picture of items from menu. Ordered online for pick-up. Great amount of food but small, multiple packages. Also wished there was more curry, got enough veggies but not enough sauce. They also forgot utensils but had some at home. Will def come back to try more items, the service dinning in looked good. They bring out your ramen in food cart.

No frills ramen spot that's perfect for a quick, filling meal. Their lunch specials and happy hour deals offer great value, and the staff was happy to provide chili oil on request. I tried the black garlic ramen, which was very satisfying, though the chashu pork had a surprising sweetness to it that felt a bit out of place.

    CHICKEN CUTLET CURRY
    Ren M.

This place's ramen was amazing! Girlfriend and I ordered the chicken katsu curry, tonkotsu spicy ramen, and mazesoba. The chicken katsu itself was nice and crispy and chicken was cooked perfectly. It was really delicious. The curry itself was nothing special, and we've had better. My gf really liked the mazesoba and I really enjoyed my tonkatsu ramen. The broth for my ramen was very rich and flavorful. Perfectly creamy and super tasteful. The chashu was nice and tender as well. Everything about the mazesoba was great as well and my gf had no complaints. Customer service was good and the place is nice and clean with a Japanese authentic vibe. Highly recommend!

Very cozy little spot for ramen with plenty of parking and friendly staff! Like many of my visits to restaurants, this too was recommended by social media. Good ramen with texture and flavor. Opted for their lunch special, which included their Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and Gyoza. There are other options available for their lunch special, but the gyoze and ramen combo just spoke to me. Authentic spot for some good ramen. Recommend if you are around the Monrovia/Arcadia area!

absolutely loved this ramen spot! The broth stood out right away - it has this incredible charred flavor that gives it so much depth and uniqueness. It's smoky, savory, and so different from the typical ramen I've had elsewhere. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the toppings balanced everything beautifully. You can tell a lot of care goes into crafting each bowl. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to whenever I'm craving ramen with a bold, unforgettable flavor.

    BEEF UDON
    Brigitte L.

We love going to Dashiwa Ramen for a quick ramen fix. They have an extensive menu: ramen, maze men, rice, udon. I got the classic tonkotsu, which was yummy, but the soup wasn't as rich as some of the other ramen places I've been to. The shoyu ramen was a bit salty for our taste. However, the best part about their ramen is the abundance of toppings! The beef udon was very delicious and filling. The katsu was also very well fried, without the meat getting too dry. The only thing I have to say is that the portions are on the smaller side and the food didn't come out as hot as I would've liked.

    Jessica Y.

The store is located in a Plaza with plenty of parking. They have indoor seating including booster seats for kids. I tried the tonkatsu original ramen. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were the right chewiness. It was delicious. Staff was very nice. So generous and friendly of them. I noticed the gentleman would go to tables with kids and give flavored milk. At first I was confused I'm not ordering milk and he said he wanted to give to the kids. Definitely a kid friendly restaurant for a family meal.

This restaurant is located in a small plaza but parking is plenty and the wait is not long for a Saturday afternoon. There is a boba place inside but the drinks doesn't look that great so we didn't order any. The staffs are very nice and the setup inside is pretty unique. We didn't get to sit inside one of the Hexagon pods or the lantern cage table but its ok. The ramen is actually pretty good. The broth has a deep flavor to it and the ramen itself is not bad. It is not spectacular but I would say slightly above average. We ordered Combo B so it came with a lot of extra stuff. The ramen though cannot be exchanged so I got the Sapporo Miso Ramen while my wife got the Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen. We also ordered the Yakitori Platter. While the Ramen are decent, the other dishes are subpar. I am 99% sure the Yakitori was pre-made and just reheated. It has no char flavor at all. I believe some off site kitchen prepped the food and the restaurant just reheated the food. That was the most disappointing part of the meal. The cost of the Yakitori was equivalent to actual Yakitori places so I expected decent quality Yakitori. I think the popcorn chicken is the same. It has no crunch to it at all and it is barely warm. The two desserts are decent. Those can be prepare ahead and won't affect the flavor since they are served chilled. After the meal, one of the bowls actually won a free drink so we'll claim it when we return next time. Overall the meal was decent. I just won't order the appetizers next time. Normally I would just give a 3 star since the Yakitori was a bust but the staffs are very nice so I kept it at 4 stars. The place is also very clean too so I would like to repeat to try other dishes.

Kyuramen x TBaar brings together a Japanese-inspired ramen restaurant and bubble tea café under one…read moreroof, offering a menu that extends well beyond ramen. We walked into a space that stands out for its modern interior, featuring private wooden booth seating that creates a cozy, semi-private dining experience, the kind of setup that makes the meal feel more intimate than a typical ramen shop. The atmosphere feels contemporary and social, with a clean, thoughtfully designed layout that works well for both casual dinners and group outings, and the attached TBaar makes it easy to finish the meal with a specialty tea or dessert without leaving the restaurant. While ramen is the restaurant's signature, many of the menu's standout dishes are actually found elsewhere. The omurice is one of the most popular items, served with a fluffy egg and rich demi-glace or curry sauce that makes it one of the restaurant's signature comfort dishes, and the presentation, with the egg split open at the table, adds a theatrical element to the meal. Other highlights include yakitori, bao buns, katsu, takoyaki, and appetizers that give the menu plenty of variety. The ramen itself is solid, with options ranging from traditional tonkotsu to the Yin Yang Ramen that lets you sample both spicy and non-spicy broths in one bowl, though the quality of the ramen can feel less memorable than some of the restaurant's other specialties, the broth lacking the depth and complexity that defines a dedicated ramen shop. The attached TBaar also adds another layer to the experience with milk teas, fruit teas, and desserts that pair well with the meal. Matcha tiramisu, Japanese cherry blossom jelly, and other sweets help round out the menu, making it easy to stay for dessert instead of stopping somewhere else afterward, and the drinks are well prepared, with the tea flavors coming through clearly without being overly sweet. The restaurant's design is one of its biggest strengths. The wooden booths provide a semi-private dining experience, and the overall space feels clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, creating an environment that encourages lingering over a meal rather than rushing through it. Service is generally friendly and welcoming, though it can slow down during busier periods as the restaurant fills up, with the team handling the steady flow but sometimes taking longer to check in when the dining room is at capacity. The overall experience remains positive, and the pace of the meal stays comfortable even when the service stretches. Kyuramen x TBaar offers more than just ramen. The inviting atmosphere, diverse menu, and combination of savory dishes, drinks, and desserts make it a well-rounded dining destination. While the ramen may not be the strongest reason to visit compared to some dedicated ramen shops, the omurice, appetizers, desserts, and unique dining experience make it a place worth trying, especially if you are looking for variety rather than focusing on a single dish. The balance of creativity, comfort, and a polished setting makes it a versatile option for a meal that feels more like an experience than a quick stop.

I used the sesame grinder a lot! Most of the table ordered the Original King Reamen but I had the Red King and wanted to try the Chicken Karaage. The chicken was so good! Probably one of the best I've ever had. The ramen was super flavourful and the noodles were cooked perfectly QQ. This place was bustling but felt that the service was good. Love the decor. They even give you a branded bib in case of soup splashing. Food is a bit expensive than other Ramen places but I probably would be back.

AH-MA-ZING!! Brought one of our best friends from Hawaii to have lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. We…read moregot seated right away which was great bc we were all getting hangry. For appetizers we ordered the Takoyaki, chicken karage and our main dishes Deluxe Tsukemen x3. The Break down: Atmosphere: 4/5 They greet you as you walk in, which I sets the vibe. You're welcomed into a cozy apace that has some decorative elements even to the music choice. Reminds me of our trip to japan, which I MISS SO MUCH! The Food Takoyaki: $8.95. 4/5 Stars. - Comes in 5pcs with sauce and bonito flakes. I liked how the outside was a bit crunchy and inside was fluffy! Karage: $8.95. 5/5 Stars - Comes in 5pcs. The sauce was tangy sweet kind of like teriyaki sauce. It was crispy but still so juicy and soft. HANDS DOWN GET THIS! Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

I had a weekend dinner at Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle with our group of four back in March 2025. The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

We love that they do weekend lunch special, and we specifically come for that. The sushi lunch combo always includes generous, thick slices of fresh fish and a good variety. This last time, we even got a huge scallop nigiri in our combos! We also ordered a roll and an order of takoyaki to share this time around, and both hit the spot. Interior is classy, clean, and comfortable. Service can be a little slow depending on how busy it is (on a Saturday during lunch, our 3 sushi combos arrived like 15 minutes after my grandma's chicken udon), but that speaks to the made-to-order quality, so I'm not too bummed. Overall, as a sushi fanatic who doesn't like to break the bank each time we go out, this is my go-to and we'll be back every time we're in town.

From the first moments, we were impressed by the atmosphere, the beautiful menu presentation, and the great variety of dishes. When our food arrived, we were absolutely amazed The rolls and sushi were incredibly fresh, delicious, and beautifully served. You can really feel the attention to every detail and care for the guests. We will definitely come back again and recommend this place

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.
