He does great work, plus you can really trust Dave and he is extremely honest. I had a couple of minor issues with my car, Dave took the time to check out my vehicle and let me know what the problem was but because it was so minor, he didn't even charge me. When solutions are outside your wheelhouse you want to take your need to someone who will take care of you. Not take advantage of your lack of knowledge. If you know Las Vegas, then you also know that scammers are everywhere - especially in the auto repair business. That's why it was so great to find Dave's shop, at the corner of S. Jones Blvd. and W. Spring Mountain Rd. I just returned from having an oil change there, and was truly impressed: both with Dave, and his mechanics, Fred and Joel. They are friendly, decent people who run a clean, orderly shop. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and at an excellent price too. Fred even topped off my brake fluid, power steering fluid, checked the other fluid levels, AND put air in the tires, ALL for no extra charge. Amazing. Let me just tell you a little about Dave's head mechanic, Bill Birk. He's the BEST mechanic I've EVER found in this town and I was born and raised here! I've known him for about 15 years now and I won't take any of my vehicles anywhere else! If you need a wonderful honest mechanic, look NO further! Dave the owner is a stand up guy and provides his customers with excellent work at more than fair prices! He stands behind everything he does and I know for a fact there have been situations where a desperate customer with no financial resources has come in unable to pay for everything and he's fixed the vehicle anyway. My daughter moved to Las Vegas last year with her 1995 Dodge Neon. It started to overheat, she took it to a different mechanic shop that told her it was the head gasket. Had it towed back to her place while I figure out what I was going to do. Decided to take it to Dave's and it's the best decision I ever made. He let me know that it wasn't the head gasket, it was the thermostat. Costs went from $900 to under $200 just like that. Fair and honest. A very good mechanic. he really took away a lot of stress of my mind when he fixed my 2012 Volkswagen Passat for a very cheap price. Even my friend who is a mechanic in CA said "WOW" for the price Dave charged me. the one thing all mechanics here in town don't have and that is going A LOT of extra mile of excellent customer service which Dave I think his work signature. My tires were really worn and I was trying to find a good deal round town . I couldn't believe how expensive it is for my new car. I had no clue how I could pay for it . My friend told me about this place and I looked on yelp. As I called around the tire places were a lot but these guys cut down on the labor and smog check to incentivize me probably. I came down and they did the work within 2 hours . I just wish they would've not made the inside of my car dirty... so for the next review I'm giving this a 4. Thanks though! read more

Highly, highly recommend you bring your business to Dave! I had just had an oil change at and brought my car over for the tires to be rotated at Dave's. His superb employees immediately noticed that the plug had not been screwed in and oil was seeping out. If I had not gone to Dave I could well have had a seized engine. Wow! I was beginning to give up on finding a honest car fixer in this town. Then I stopped by this little shop. Dave and his crew, Frank and Joel, make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The way they talk to you is very profesional yet you can understand them. They have never sold me a bunch of extra repairs. They fix what needs fixen and fix it right. I took my car to get my timing belt and water pump replaced and my car was finished in less than 4 hours!! I asked Dave to check my brakes and he said they are fine. A few months ago I took my car to Big O tires for an oil change and was told that I needed new brakes AND rotors!!! I took my car to Just Brakes and they said that my brakes were 50%and rotors are fine. I was very pleased when Dave confirmed what Just Brakes said. I love Dave, I never thought I could come by an honest mechanic but I did! Daves does the job done right the first time and always makes sure you understand what and why they are doing to your vehicle, they also go out of their way to unsure the cost doesn't get too outrageous.
