Bagels were very large and soft but almost more bread consistency rather than bagel (denser). The people seemed nice when ordering and was in/out fairly quickly on a Saturday. Sadly, will not rank in my top bagel spots in NYC.

Solid bagel, nice crispy and taste to the dough. Got a whole wheat everything with scallion cream cheese and some OJ, for just $8. Good find!

Basic spot. $4.60 for a small-ish bagel. Good value. The olive cream cheese was terrific. Didn't wow me. There was a line, surprisingly.

Arrived at 11 am on a Saturday to a long line and an average bagel. The line moved fairly quickly to order my everything with cream cheese. The slow down was the cashier who was also making the coffee at the same time. Place is a little small with very few places to sit. Overall a place you can have a conversation if you were able to sit down. As far as the hand rolled everything bagel, seasonings only on 1 side with poppy and sesame prevailing. No salt or anything else. see my bagel reviews on IG @bagelmavennyc

Had to get a bagel while traversing the villages by myself on a Tuesday morning and stopped into David's because I heard that it was one of the best. It was certainly a little chaotic inside. As soon as I stepped in it felt like they were trying to rush me out! Ma'am I live in LA I will take my time looking at every bagel and cream cheese combination possible, TYVM. I went for the classic everything with cream cheese and it only took a moment to make. The bagel was toasted, maybe not enough for me, but still fluffy. Really good and a whole lot of cream cheese. I almost couldn't finish the whole thing. It was nice, maybe not the best bagel I've EVER had, but still very good nonetheless.

0.5/1 Ambience; 3/3 Food; 0.5/1 Value David's Bagels very much gives a mom and pop-shop vibe where the food is first and foremost. There is limited seating, and most customers took their food to go. While the we were not expecting a lot in terms of decor, the seating area was not very clean with scattered crumbs and food stains. The counter service was fast despite a rather busy morning with many patrons and delivery orders. I had a pumpernickel bagel with cream cheese and lox that came to $11.50 + tax. The bagel was delicious with a crisp exterior, but a fluffy and chewy interior. While the lox was fresh and this was overall a tasty meal, I can't justify the price versus the amount of lox. The smear of cream cheese, on the other hand, was generous and perfect relative to the bagel. Despite the few setbacks, David's is a perfect example of why NYC is famous for its bagels!

Outstanding! Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle. Very generous portions of spread all at a reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend David's!

One of the best bagels I've had in NY. Super fluffy and soft. The egg was cooked perfectly as well. Way better than a lot of the popular spots like Ess a bagel.

I got an everything bagel with egg and cheese to go. The service was quick and the cashier was pleasant. The bagel itself was pretty tasty, the egg was fluffy and it had ample cheese. My only complaint is that the top was a bit too toasted for my liking... the seeds on the top of the bagel tasted a little burnt. But I would go again for the price point and the overall quality of food. The shop itself is a little small and does not have much seating. Their selection and variety of bagels and cream cheese is also not as vast as other bagel shops but their price is definitely the most reasonable in the neighborhood imo.

Best bagel place in nyc.. fastest service never a bad line and best deal. Truly nyc gem. I'm a bagel snob and this is my favorite by far

Quick Service. Small Shop. Seats To Eat. Quality Bagel. Not Expensive. I Would Stop By Again.

Cinnamon raisin. A bit burnt and cold. Good schmear of cream cheese at least

Huge bagels, not chewy. Edible but as far as bagels go - go to Ess or further south down 1st, Black Seed, in the hood.

Best bagels in the area!! Tuna salad is good. Prices are fair. Avoid lunch time on school days.

Don't bother...the bagels aren't that good and the staff is rude. Not worth the time, headache or attitude.

The service was very friendly, the food was even more so. I was absolutely blown away with the amount of fresh, hand-made cream cheese / butter / spread selections - some of the ones that were available when I came were: Brown Sugar Cinnamon Butter, Garlic Parsley Butter, Walnut Raisin Cream Cheese, Strawberry Cream Cheese, Cinnamon Roll Cream Cheese, Olive Cream Cheese, Nutella Chip Cream Cheese, Lemon Poppy Cream Cheese, Jalapeno Cheddar Cream Cheese, Garlic Herb Cream Cheese, Bacon Cheddar, Chili Crisp, Basil Pesto... I mean seriously the options are ENDLESS. Sweet, salty, savory, you name it. I will admit, it's a bit overwhelming because you want to try it all especially because they're all beautifully displayed. Even after you pick the spread, you still have to choose from one of the many different bagel options too so.. that's the hard part - making choices! There is seating available both in and outside. It's within a great walking distance and easily visible / accessible. Love, love, love!! I'm not from NYC, I was visiting so I will be missing this place whole heartedly - until next time!

When we got there, although there was a line, it looked like it was moving fairly quick! Still, our order was ready for us at the pick-up station so we walked in and found a corner spot. It's pretty snug inside, and although there are a few tables and some standing areas, most people got their food and left.
