We originally went to David's Bridal for a wedding dress for my sister. Although we didn't find what we wanted, the service was decent and the selection was fine. We found her dress at another store. We went back to David's Bridal for bridesmaid dress shopping a day I was appalled. There was no customer service and they shoved us in the back of the store, even though we had made an appointment prior to coming. The lady assigned to help us was apparently assigned to different people as well and spent next to no time helping us. We found a couple dresses we liked but when we went to ask if we could try them in our size, there was no one to be found to help us. While we were looking for dresses, we saw other people working at the shop pointing at us and saying "let's get rid of these 'walk-ins as fast as possible, they're taking up our time." (mind you, we had an appointment and were not, in fact, walk-ins) I found my maid of honor dress on a side rack with the help of my friends rather than someone who actually worked there. I bought my dress and we went to order another bridesmaid dress in a different size and color than what we had tried on. We checked out and thought we were all set and ready to order all our dresses through their online store. After over a month of waiting to hear ANYTHING about the dress, we called to find out that the dress would not be ready until 5 DAYS before the wedding leaving no time for alterations or anything. When we asked if there was anything we could do, the lady replied very rudely that we could cancel the order or not "freak out until Monday." We immediately canceled the order and found the dress somewhere else, leaving my sister, the bride, in a panic and leaving the rest of the bridal party as VERY unsatisfied customers. read more

What an excellent place! So I showed up here with my mother and my maid of honor on a very busy Saturday. When we walked in the door, the hostess politely asked what they could help us with. I said that we needed a dress for my maid of honor, my mother and a bridal gown. The lady politely informed me that we could browse all the dresses, including bridal, but she wasn't sure we could try any bridal on as the consultants were very busy. We did not have an appointment, which I want aware I needed. I informed her that we had driven an hour, could they please try to fit us in. She said they would try. In the meantime we picked out a few bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses. A short while after arrival, Robyn came over and informed us she had a short window of tine she would love to help us out. In the interest of not wasting time, we discussed sizes and styles, and she quickly returned with a few selections for us to try. She assisted me into the bustier and every dress I tried. She was friendly, and polite and treated me as if she had nothing better to do than help me, although we both knew her next appointment was coming in the door any minute. Unfortunately, we did not buy a bridal gown that trip, but we did purchase the mother of the bride dress and a bridesmaid dress. The staff at the counter tried very hard to accommodate us on the dresses, colors and sizes we needed. Even though they were busy as can be, they still took the time to treat everyone in my party like we were the most important people in that moment. I highly recommend Robyn or this David's Bridal. In fact, they told us the bridesmaid dress would be in on March 17th and it is already in! Im so very pleased and will definitely be doing business with this David's bridal in the future. read more

A bad experience turned good. I purchased a gown at a store in Colorado but had it shipped to CT where I live. It was nothing like the sample I tried. I didn't appreciate that the staff at the Manchester told me the problems with the gown were "not that bad." I reordered the dress twice and they still didn't look good (the boning and seams were incredibly visible). I read countless reviews online about how DB does not do refunds so I became increasingly frustrated that my $1100 gown was so poorly constructed. However, I went to this store and spoke to a manger about the problem. To my complete surprise she was able to get permission from corporate to give me a full refund. This was based on the fact that I ordered the gown several times and that I could confirm that the alterations manager acknowledged that a problem existed with the gown. I am so thankful to this manager that I no longer have to be stressed out about an expensive purchase that I was unhappy with. I will buy another gown elsewhere but I wanted to acknowledge the positive thing they did for me. read more

I made an appointment for me and my bridesmaids to try on dresses with my mom. We were 20 minutes late due to traffic since we are all from out-of-state and they said they could take time out of my bridesmaids' appointment and use it for the bridal gown which was great. This, however, did not happen. We were greeted by friendly staff, and the woman assigned to us asked if I had pictures of dresses I liked, which I then gave to her and she went to pick some out. That is where the pleasant experience ended. She never asked about the venue, the exact style I was looking for or what I liked and didn't like. She also never asked if I wanted to use their undergarments which was dissapointing. We didn't have a pedestal or many seats to sit down. The dressing room was small making it difficult to try on bridal gowns. I was especially unhappy about the fact that our attendant didn't offer to help me into any of the gowns. She just said she'd be outside if I needed help, but then dissapeared. My bridesmaids and mom zipped me up most of the time because she was no where to be found. We didn't have clips to properly fit the dress and all of the styles she brought me were not what I had wanted to try on. My bridesmaids ended up going by themselves or with her to pick out dresses for me. Also, she had my bridesmaids try on dresses at the same time I was so we felt very rushed to see each other and could not fully appreciate or give advice on each one. She was not enthusiastic and didn't seem to care about helping us. Most of the dresses were in bad shape and not made very well. The prices may be less expensive due to quality, but maybe if the attendents helped the brides into the dresses like most bridal shops do, there wouldn't be as many tears in each dress. Because of this dissapointing and frustrating experience (after trying on 15 dresses), my maid of honor felt compelled to look for another bridal shop nearby and we ended up leaving halfway through our appointment to go there. This is where I fell in love with the second dress I tried on and bought it. They had much better personalized service and it's because of the terrible experience at this David's Bridal we were able to appreicate the second store more and I was able to find my dream dress. read more

This was my first attempt on searching for a bridal gown and I can gladly say it was an amazing experience. I was there on the dot for my 11 o'clock appointment and greeted at the door as I walked in with my mom. I ended up filling out the profile papers and automatically was given a tour of the store after which we started to talk about what I wanted for my gown. I had no idea! I had done research at home but the way a dress looks on a picture will look completely different when tried on. There are so many beautiful gown out there and I had no idea what style would look best on me. Kristin, who was helping me during the appointment, has given me all the attention and opinions I wanted. Although, I was undecided on style of the dress from the beginning, she helped me narrow down styles to four dresses! Meanwhile she was doing this she has helped three other ladies, one trying on a bridal gown and the others bridesmaid dresses! She was great! Even though my appointment ended up being much longer than intended, Kristin and the manager offered option after option to add in sash, veil, tiara, and/or hair comb to complete the look. When I asked for a different type veil with a little sparkle, Kristin was right there to have it ready for me. I can gladly recommend this place to anyone! read more

We went to David's Bridal in Manchester on a Thursday morning for a wedding that is less than 3 weeks away (very quick planning needed!) and never thought to make an appointment! My daughter was looking for her wedding gown; we needed a bridesmaids dress for my youngest daughter and I needed a Mother of the Bride dress. When we walked in and said we didn't have an appointment, the receptionist said it would be a few minutes and we could walk around and look at dresses. During our wait time, we were approached a number of times to thank us for waiting and that our consultant would be with us shortly - no problem, as we knew that would happen if we didn't book ahead. Teagan was our consultant and she was nothing short of wonderful! We explained our situation and, after asking what our budget was, she took the bride around and found 6-8 dresses for her to try one - Teagan was extremely patient and accommodating during this process! My daughter found the perfect gown - pretty close to budget - and then Teagan proceeded to find the veil and shoes to match; and then was able to find the exact bridesmaid dress for our youngest, after we were prepared to order it online - my oldest daughter ordered the same bridesmaid dress from the store in NYC, so the fact that they have stores across different states is great! I then found the exact MOB dress that my daughter wanted, and I'm a very picky shopper! My daughter has to go back for a few alterations on her dress; however, all in all, it was a great experience for us. The staff was very pleasant and Teagan went above and beyond. read more

We have been engaged for awhile now waiting to save money for the wedding we wanted even though it was going to be small cheap and simple we were not impressed with davids bridal in west springfield ma so we decided to travel to the davids bridal near Buckland hills mall in ct and I was sooooo happy we did although I was skeptical we had a amazinggggg! Consultant Melissa who said she was brand new she was amazing and we were there so long and being difficult and picky with no idea what we were looking for she was super support of me as a bride my tricky bridesmaids price range and so much more we shared opinions stories laughs and I left feeling like she was a best friend! I had the best experience at This David Bridal because of Consultant "Matt" I am apart of a wedding party of just 3 but finding bridesmaid dresses to fit everyones body type is always a struggle and getting everyone to compromise is even a bigger one. We tried on so many differnet dresses and two would agree and 1 would not. As maid of honor my dress did not have to match the two bridesmaid but it had to flow but we could not find ones that went together that we all liked. After trying serval dresses on we were all ready to call it quits, but "Matt" was not giving up. He kept pulling dresses that would fit our body type that we may over looked or just missed and he did it he was able to make everyone happy and we walked away with purchasing our dresses for the upcoming wedding. He was amazing, he was not pushy like most consultant's who are just worried about making the sale but he was patient and very thoughful, reassuring, and had a positive attitude, that made all of us not want to give up. I absolutely LOVED my experience at David's Bridal. I never write reviews, but, I loved my consultant, Teagan, so much that I wanted to make sure she received recognition! From the very beginning, the experience was great. I, of course couldn't find the store but the wonderful young lady who answers the phone and greets you upon arrival patiently led me to the store from my location! Once I arrived, I did feel overwhelmed, there is a lot to choose from and wasn't sure what would flatter me. I'm also getting married in about a month and knew that would be a challenge with alterations and ordering,but it wasn't, at all. When I met Teagan, I knew everything would be just perfect! She is truly an incredible young woman and wonderful at her job! I don't think I would have been able to pick a dress if it weren't her. I felt important and she helped me to make the decision that was best for me. Honestly, I just loved her! she is so accommodating and reassuring. I knew going into David's bridal it was not going to be the bridal boutique experience but having a realistic budget in mind I gave it a shot. My bridal specialist, Felicita, was nothing short of amazing! She made sure to stay within budget and pulled dresses that I saw online and even pulled some she thought would look best on me. Needless to say the dress I chose was one of her recommendations and I could not be happier. Even though the store was extra busy she made sure I had what I needed and helped me in and out of my dress with no problem! I was told to expect my dress in a month and a week later I got a call that it was already in. Alterations were a breeze, I did not have an appointment but the manager made sure they got done that same day. Overall I am very pleased and grateful I was paired up with Felicita. I had an appointment to try on bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses as well. I got to the store and the woman who was assigned to me came and found me and right off the bat acted like she couldn't be bothered with me. I told her the type of dress I was interested in and she didn't even pull any dresses for me. Instead she kept walking away and didn't help at all. My bridesmaids had to pull dresses for me. When it came to trying them on she gave me a fitting room and told me to let her know if I needed help and once again went M.I.A. So once again my bridesmaids had to help me get into the dresses. After trying on three dresses that weren't the style I wanted at all I was all set with the horrible service I received. I'm not usually one to complain or write a bad review but I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs if you are looking for a dress. I bought my dress at David's Bridal in Manchester. The experience was an absolute disaster. Here's what happened. The first time I went to David's Bridal I was with some friends and my mom. We did not have an appointment. I told the lady at the desk this and she said that's fine just go have a look but you can only pull 3 dresses at a time. We found a few dresses and then a lady asked us what we were doing. She said we needed to leave and could not look at wedding dresses alone. The lady at the desk said she thought we were looking for prom dresses even though she never asked us. We set up another appointment for a different day and left. The next time I went back my mom was the only one that could make it. I found a dress I LOVED! For some reason the consultants I worked with had me put the dresses on over my head instead of stepping into them. I found this extremely weird and uncomfortable. The lady was very pleasant helping us until I said I wanted to bring my bridal party back to show them the dress for another opinion before I bought it. The day I actually bought the dress was chaos. The store was under staffed and over crowded. Everyone was so stressed and unpleasant. They did not ring the bell for me. When they rung me up nothing was explained. I felt like I was buying a pair of jeans and not MY WEDDING DRESS. The only saving grace of the experience was the alterations man who was WONDERFUL! He was so kind, patient and pleasant. I had to order my dress so when it came in I got my alterations done and was asked if I wanted to come before my wedding to get it steamed. I said yes and went to the front desk to set up an appointment. They told me to come in a few days before the wedding. I came in 4 days prior. Obviously there was a ton going on during this time. When I came in they said "YOU ARE JUST COMING IN NOW?!?!" even though I was instructed to do so. Urgh. They told me to come back in two days. I came back two days before my wedding. I stood at the counter and waited about 20 minutes and the girl informed me they had lost my dress. I didn't freak out. I waited about 40 more minutes and no one communicated with me what was going on. Finally after an hour I asked what was going on. They said they had found it. After about an hour and a half they brought me my dress. It was in a plastic garment bag. I said I wanted to try it on. The lady at the counter said well we can't do anything about it if it doesn't meet your satisfaction. I said I still wanted to try it on. THANK GOD I did because it had never even been steamed. As soon as I tried it on the alterations people in the back said they would steam it. We waited another hour. I tried my dress on again and it was better but made the mistake of not undoing the bustle. On my wedding day right before I walked down the aisle my mom took my bustle down and found there were black marks all over it. She didn't tell me so I wouldn't worry but it was awful. David's Bridal did compensate me for the problem but it was not worth it. I do LOVE my dress but I really wish I found it at another store. read more

I had a great experience at David's Bridal! For starters, I went wedding dress shopping on Black Friday with my mom and sister/MOH, and we tried a few different places, with David's Bridal being the only one we had scheduled an appointment at. After trying a trunk show/attic sale at a bridal boutique with absolutely no luck, and another bridal boutique with some luck but price tags that gave me a heart attack, we came to David's Bridal for our appointment. We were meet immediately by Teagan, who greeted us enthusiastically and said she'd be helping me during my visit. I showed her a few pictures of what I was looking for and the budget I was hoping to stick to, and she got right to it and started picking out some great choices for me. In the end, I found my dress and had my "this is the one!" moment, and couldn't be happier. They offer a wide variety of styles and sizes, so there was much more to choose from than any of the other places I had visited. Teagan was super friendly and helpful, and was a pleasure to work with. Overall, I'm really happy with my experience, and that I found my dress, all while staying within my modest budget! I had all my Bridesmaid purchase there dresses at this location ,At our first visit the girl that was assign to us was not very pleasant ,she did not ask us any questions or anything pretty much left us alone 'so no good customer service' We where so turn off by this service we left ,Second time around the Gal who help us very nice and pleasant At that time with the service she gave us they bought the dresses, made us feel very welcome YAYY to her .Now my Made of honor was the last one to order her dress ,Something happen that her order got cancelled stating reason they did not have her size ,The reason why I am upset is its a month an half to my wedding they tell her they have her size take her money then like that cancelled her order .Now she called they tell they don't have this dress they cant do nothing for her ,So pretty much we would have to look for another dress ,every one she spoke to and I spoke to no help rude sounded like they hated there job .They are in the Bridal business they are there to help us not stress us out ,,Long story short the one person that did help me was JOY from this location in Manchester good Job ,Some how she located two dresses for my Made of honor .Strange we where told that nobody had that dress But JOY somehow found this dress for us Again Kuddos to her Great job JOY Bravo to her this is what you do for your Guest above and beyond for your guest ...They are other things that happened to long to type .MY suggestion would be coming from Retail Backround as myself these people need to get retrained .except for JOY SHE WAS AMAZING . read more
