I had a very good experience the last three times I had been in. The last two times were for the choosing my own bridal gown. I am no spring bride and this has not been my first time down the isle, but Jackie was extremely helpful and very supportive to my angst of having to decide what dress was deemed far to young and what dress was to conservative, giving me a helpful hand when deciding which was best. The gown chosen was a blush ball type gown that made me feel absolutely beautiful! The price was even better than I could have hoped for seeing I didn't want to make a huge investment for a gown that would only be worn for a few hours. I was very very happy...and certainly would recommend them to any age bride on a budget. read more

Extremely disappointed in Davids Bridal. I purchased my wedding dress there. That was fine. I went back with my bridesmaids and the person helping us was awful. She didn't seem to know what she was doing and completely disappeared while the bridesmaids were trying on their dresses. We literally never saw her again. Meanwhile, while she was still helping us when we first arrived, she showed us the different color swabs and we chose three colors. I wanted an ombré effect so I had all the girls wearing the same dress but 2 in each color. I chose 2 DIFFERENT shades of gray and then a lighter beige. We decided to wait to order them until they went on sale since we had gone there way before the wedding date. When I got home to look at the magazine and I found the dress my bridesmaids tried on, the colors we chose were not all available in that dress. I was so disappointed, but I quickly found two different shades of gray (according to the swatches in the magazine and in the store) and I added the rose gold since the third choice was not available in this dress. Trusting the colors were fine, my bridesmaids all ordered them and I never saw them again until my wedding day. When they all put their dresses on, the two shades of gray looked almost identical. Then, one of the bridesmaids that was supposed to be in rose gold was in a lighter beige with a metallic top. Absolutely NOT what she ordered or what I picked out. When the girls all lined up, it looked awful. I had six girls in gray and two in different colors. I am so disappointed in Davids Bridal and I will never recommend anyone to go there for so many reasons. read more

She did a great job suggesting dresses and encouraged me to try on different styles. I was looking for a prom dress for my daughter about a couple of weeks ago. We have been shopping all day and decided that our last store for the day would be David's Bridal in Manchester. We were greeted right away and was asked if we needed assistance in finding a dress. Then Ashley asked if we needed a dressing room to hang the many dresses I had draped on my arm and I said sure. She was extremely helpful in asking us what styles, color and size we were looking for and actually helped with getting the dresses for us. She did more than her job she even offered my oldest daughter a slice or two of pizza to get through the appointment as we were fading fast. She offered to get the seamstress to help us out with our questions about altering the dress. I can't say enough about Ashley - she was all that a sales person should be. Such a great experience with this David's Bridal! I came with my mom, sister and BFF to look for my wedding dress. I did not expect to find something so soon, however the second dress I tried on was the one! My appointment was with Teagan and I can not say enough about her and the amazing experience she provided for us! She spent so much time with us and really listened to what I was looking for. She pulled all my favorites to try on, plus a few selections of her own. She pulled the entire look together with an AH-mazing veil and sash that complemented an heirloom cross I had brought in. The manager also stopped by to introduce herself and helped to make the entire experience feel so special (and Julie in alterations answered my endless questions about THE dress). I am so grateful for the experience I just had at Davids. I walked in, in a panic, because my bridesmaid gown would not zip and the wedding is three weeks away. I did not have an appointment. I was received with smiles and an eager willingness to help me from the talented staff members at this location. Joy found me a gown that was a perfect size, adjusted a button that needed a little help on the gown, and sent me on my way without charging me any additional cost. I was recently at the David's Bridal a few weeks ago in Manchester CT, with my mom and my 6 bridesmaids shopping for bridesmaids dresses. Ivory was the expert who assisted us the entire time and she was professional and kind to us. She showed where to select several dresses to try on and we found one that we all loved! We ended up ordering all 6 dresses that day and already 3 has arrived! The appointment was successful and yet fun and a great experience! I made an appointment and my consultant was anything but helpful. She never asked my budget and my mom ended up pulling almost all of the dresses. Half the time I couldn't even find her and the one dress she did show me that I loved, she later told me was discontinued. So, I had to search for something else. I went with my friend to David's Bridal today for a dress try on. I'd been to other locations before and have described David's Bridal as the Walmart of bridal shops. You can find a gem, occasionally. Sadly, most of the time the low priced dresses are of poor quality and the higher quality dresses are more expensive than better bridal shops around. When we arrived we were instructed to pick out some gowns she liked and that our saleswoman would be back with us. They appeared to be short staffed because our saleswoman was with another group and took a long time to get back to us. When she finally did, we carried our own dresses over to the dressing room and our saleswoman disappeared to help another group again. We waited ten minutes before I helped my friend try on her dresses myself. It continued like this for maybe half an hour before she returned to help. She was able to devote a few minutes to us before another customer came in and required help. She also was focusing on dresses way under our budget, which is nice. We would have loved to find a dress for $99, but our budget was under $1000. Some of these $99 dresses that she kept pushing we're hideous. She focused so much on the price, but not my friends style or what she was interested in. She was a very nice woman and she was working extremely hard. I felt terrible that there was no one else there to help her. It would have been great to find an inexpensive dress today but sadly we did not. Worth the visit though to at least cross it off our list. read more

I was very disappointed by my visit here. I made my appointment online, and thankfully, when I walked in with my mother and two bridesmaids, they did have my appointment on record. I met my consultant a few minutes later, who led us to the "Clearance" section and told me to pick out up to 2 gowns, and then left. After picking two gowns to try on, we waited for another 5 minutes before she arrived to find out what kind of dress I was looking for. I attempted to show her several pictures and explain what I wanted. Unfortunately though, my consultant kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain what I had in mind. Once we had been set up in a dressing room with the two clearance dresses, the attendant left to get more dresses. She returned each time when I had walked out of the dressing room, and asked what I thought of the dress. When I tried to explain my "pros and cons" list, she seemed to become very defensive of the dresses, and stated at one point that she "couldn't believe I thought the dress was "busy", because it was one of the simpler ones in that style". Isn't it my opinion that matters? She was generally quite rude, and even made comments about me (while I was in the dressing room) to another bride that she was helping at the same time. Many of the gowns seemed to be cheaply made, and I was disappointed by all of the "rules" they had about tailoring their gowns. I am glad I got to try on dresses in different styles, but I was not pleased about the attendant or the experience as a whole. I made an appointment later at Corrine Weddings, where I had a MUCH better experience. read more

Beware filling out any forms in this shop. While they say that your information will be kept private, I have gotten phone calls, text messages, and emails from solicitors that got my information from this David's Bridal location. I am beyond sickened and annoyed at this company for causing me unwanted harassment from a variety of wedding service providers. I specifically asked the people working here if they would be sharing my information AND I checked the apparently useless boxes indicating I did NOT want my information shared. Be sure to provide fake information to this company or be prepared for an onslaught of unwanted communications. My next stop will be the BBB and FTC to file any complaints possible. read more

Horrible tailoring. So bad Davids Bridal ruined their own $700 dress. It was a pretty dress with an embroidered tulle layer on top when I got it back from the tailor it looked like a 5 yr old was trying to learn how to use scissors. Jagged uneven edges, the hemline of the bottom layer was totally uneven waving up and down with hanging threads with spots unsewn. Absolute disaster. I can't believe they even brought the dress out like that! Did they think no one would notice it?! And the tailor supervisor guy had the gaul to say it was just fine at first until he realized we weren't putting up with such a hack job that was beyond repair. No one protested when I asked for a full refund. That should explain it all. After all the commotion they did offer to deliver a new dress later that day but at that point I was unwilling to give this place any of my business. I will say beyond the tailoring fiasco the girl helping me find the dress was lovely. But I'm still never going back there and will not recommend them to other brides to be. read more

It was awful and I am going to share my review so everyone can read it. First, I spent a lot of money on my dress.. like a lot.. it probably was one of your most expensive dresses there. It had to be hemmed up, the straps had to be taken in, the bustling and there was no eyelit buckle in the back. The first alteration appt was great.. the lady seemed like she was very confident in what she was doing. When I came back for my 2nd fitting my dress looked like trash.. like my 7 year old took scissors to it. They had to take part the lining from the lace to bustle it, I get, but why wouldnt they know that when you do that the lace will no longer be with the lining and it looks horrific when I moved.. it was like someone forgot to remove the lining and make it shorter.. the lady than argued with me about how thats the way it looks.. no thank you... there was also two other girls in the other rooms crying about how their dress is ruined and not what they wanted... they also forgot to the straps and the buckle.. as well as still have pins all in my dress.. so I come back a third time.. the lining is ok at most.. they did what they had to do to make it not show anymore.. there was no buckle and the straps still weren't done.. talk about fed up.. I cant believe they honestly still charged me almost 500 dollars to have a crap job done and then have to fix it again... never again will I come here and I will tell everyone I know to not go there.. its a completely waste of time and a joke.. My best friend is getting married in September so back in March we went to this location with our rather large bridal party and the place was literally a MAD HOUSE. Since there were a lot of brides and teenagers alike (prom season..stay away if possible) the entire place was literally flooded with people. We had an appointment and were put in the corner somewhere and were left to our own basically- we grabbed dresses and began to just try them on. Halfway through a very nice young girl who worked there helped us find exactly what the groom was looking for- and we ended up buying it. She was very helpful. My only complaint is how crammed everything was, hectic and literally the place look like a bomb went off inside- dresses scattered everywhere. I then picked up my gown, only to notice the hook and eye was missing. Their only solution was that I could leave the dress there (I live 45 mins from the store) and they will fix it with their own tailor. Um no thanks- I am not making 2 trips. I will have to now pay out of pocket to fix it at my own tailor. I then found out that the dress I bought (for $110.00 w tax) was purchased at a later time from another brides maid for only 50......so I called back and got a refund for the price difference. The girl named Julie was helpful with refunding my money. Overall not a great experience...only good thing is that they refunded me my money but had I not had a convo with the other bridesmaid, I would have never knew the price dropped, since they aren't going to tell you that..... read more

terrible service all 3 times i went- the 3 different "consultants" we all brand new, had no idea what they were doing, and werent helpful at all. my mom picked out my dress i chose in the end because none of the consultant took any initiaive to find me what i was looking for. After I picked it, I went back with my bridesmaids to pick a dress. I wanted to see what the dresses would look like next to mine, but non of the consultants would let me try on my dress I choose because it wasnt the orignial that i bought and because "of the risk of ruining the dress when i get it on" - i was stunned that the girl made up that excuse - I already bought the dress and they said i couldnt try it on again?! She kept making up reason on the spot - this pleace does not tailor to their customers, they really made it a bad experience - if you do choose to go with them - just order your dress online, it'll make for a better shopping experience. read more

I went to db to find a dress for a very important event. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by a pleasant woman. She asked what I was looking for and instructed me to browse and let her know if I needed anything. Once I found the dress I wanted to try on, the same woman paged a consultant to help me to the dressing room. Her name is Erica and she was amazing. She made me feel very relaxed, listened to what I wanted and liked, and even threw in a few suggestions. I am very self conscious and she handled it delicately. Erica is awesome, top notch customer service. I wouldn't be surprised if she was a manager. If I do decide on purchasing that dress I will make sure her upper management knows how great she was. read more

I had the worst the experience at David Bridal at this location in Manchester, CT 06040. The customer service was terrible. The worst thing was the store manager who was so unprofessional (her name was Liz) when speaks to customer. She had an attitude and was very rude. I called on the phone for the price of the item they supposed to honor me the discount price for the day I was there. I didn't purchase the item on that day but I was told I could come back and WOULD gave me the same discount price. I'm just a customer and this is how I was told for the item I was interested in. How am I supposed to know your store/or the account system works when you didn't get the memo on this? the store manager (Liz) made me feel such a fool and I felt such embarrassed walking in the store thinking they should have the same communications or on the same page regardless if the employee wasn't on the shift that day. Liz didn't honor me the price and asked :"you want it or not?" WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMERS SERVICE IS THAT?! DAVID BRIDAL SHOULD HAVE HIRE PEOPLE WITH MORE PROFESSIONAL!!! Now that I have picked up my dress...I feel it's safe to take my complaints to yelp. In January myself, another brides maid and the bride went shopping for our bridesmaids dresses. We weren't sold on anything that day so the other bridesmaid and I went again on valentine's day. We both found the same dress we loved and told our sales associate. After we paid (all sales final) we were told the dresses might now be in until june 1st. The wedding is june 6th, and with hemming a necessity we were nervous. They assured they have never missed a wedding. We left very worried ( and annoyed we would have to pay a rush alteration fee since it was such a short turnover time). Keep in mind, our sales associate told us that the 20 dollars was the ONLY fee we would have to pay. Flash forward a few months...I go in for an alterations appointment on a Saturday. Service was nice and fast...until it came time to "check out ". I was told a one inch hem was going to cost 60 dollars! After asking to speak to the manager, the girl at the desk went to the back with my dress. After 10 minutes, I asked another girl to just get my dress because I had to leave. When the original front desk girl came out (with no manager) the pins were taken off my dress!! Since it was only an inch I paid out of anger and being in a rush and was told they would call me the day it was ready. 2 weeks ago I called to check up on the status (the other bridesmaid had alterations a week after mine but had her dress altered and returned already!) The lady assured me it was in the que to be done and my pick up day will be june 1st. June 1st...I call in the morning to double...triple check that it will be ready. The lady tells me it is in the que but since there are no pins....it is against the rules to alter it.....WHAT? The wedding is 5 days away! No one can explain to me how my dress took so long and then she mentioned all alterations are extra....Yes I KNOW. I already paid. What really bugs me is that if I didn't call AGAIN this morning, I would have shown up expecting a dress/alterations that was paid for months ago and got nothing. No one called/emailed/messaged me about the issue with no pins. Were they just going to let it sit there past the wedding date (this weekend)?? One call to davids bridal from the bride directly and within minutes the manager calls and says "when can you come from your dress today!?" No sorry, no wanting to hear where her people went wrong....nothing. I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

My daughter scheduled an apt with them to look for a wedding gown and when we got there the attendant was helping a bridesmaid party of 5 along with my daughter. They double book. This girl was absolutely NO help to us. She dragged the dresses to the fitting room and then we never saw her again until we went looking for her. They didn't have a pedestal to stand on to view the dress. My daughter is petite and the dresses were so long you couldn't even try to imagine the dress on her. The selection was very limited. I don't even know where to begin with my disappointment. My daughter was getting married, so I tried to support her in her decisions. We had the appointment for her dress, we gave the sales clerk the price range for her dress and wouldn't you know she didn't abide by it. She slipped in many more priced higher. Okay, it's my daughter, so yeah we can spend a bit more. And so we did! Appointment for the bridesmaids...they couldn't get the same color in many styles because they couldn't accommodate all the sizes. Mind you, none was bigger than a 16. So finally them did the blue family and one mint green for five dresses, not even a big wedding party. My biggest disappointment was alteration cost. My grand daughters dress was $135 and the alterations were $155. My daughters alterations were simple ones, hem and bring the straps up, over $300. So if you can walk in and a dress fits good...your lucky. I've had better luck at Kohls and JC Penny. read more

Hi Everybody!! So, let me just start off by saying not every David's Bridal is the same. I've been to a few different locations now; some in MA and the Manchester, CT location. I've noticed that there are too many Bridal Consultants that are either not well trained, or just don't care. It seems like some consultants forget that they are there for the Brides, and they should be excited to make the Bride's life a little easier. I've had a lot of headache with certain David's Bridal locations in MA, but the Manchester, CT location was very helpful. Let me be more specific - Rob, the Alterations Manager, went above and beyond for me. I walked into this David's Bridal location feeling stressed and worried that I would not be able to find the style I was looking for regarding my Bridesmaids dresses for my girls. When we were at one of the locations in MA, the lady from the alterations department was extremely rude. Instead of putting in a little extra effort and using some creativity, she chose to throw outrages prices and negativity in my face. When I explained to Rob what I was looking for, within seconds he came up with two possibilities that I had never even considered. I immediately felt at ease. Because of Rob, my girls are going to look absolutely perfect, and it didn't cost them an arm and a leg to make it happen. Unfortunately, Rob isn't a consultant, he works in Alterations, but he deserves to be recognized because he did more than any of the David's Bridal Consultants did for me, and he did it with a great attitude. He was so accommodating and helpful. He even made sure that all of the ordering information was in the computer correctly under my "wish list," to make it fool proof, so none of the other consultant could possibly screw anything up. I left there feeling confident that no matter which location my girls visited to order their dresses and accessories, they could do it without any hassle thanks to Rob. He should give a few lessons to the consultants on how to treat their customers...they might learn a thing or two. Just saying!! read more

After seeing some of the other reviews on here I went into my appointment a couple of weeks ago with low expectations. I was definitely pleasantly surprised! I arrived with my mom, dad, grandma and little sister about 10 minutes early for my appointment scheduled for late Saturday morning. The girl at the front podium greeted us and had me confirm the info I had filled out online and then told me we could start browsing the bridal gowns while my consultant finished up with her other bride. My consultant Jasmine came over and introduced herself and we started talking about what I was looking for and what my venue was like. I tried on several gowns from my online favorites list and loved the 3rd one I tried on! I ended up trying on a couple others and Jasmine was great about helping me in and out of all the gowns and finding some new ones to try on. I ended up asking to put the 3rd one on again and I knew it was the one! The fabrics were very high quality and I felt beautiful! I ended up ordering it and a bra and a slip that day. I wasn't expecting to buy anything that day but I knew that this dress was perfect. I never felt rushed or pushed into a dress or accessories that I didn't want. I was told that my dress would come into the store by June 10th but it actually came in this week, two+ weeks early! A total plus! We are going to try to get Jasmine again when we go for our bridesmaids dresses. I'll update again with that experience and the alterations experience but so far this David's Bridal has definitely exceeded my expectations. read more

I did not end up getting my dress here just because they didn't carry the one I really wanted, but I did have a pleasant experience at my appointment. It was a Saturday afternoon, but they took me for my appointment on time. I had 3 people with me and they had seats for all of them. I thought it was cute that they put your name on your dressing room door. My consultant was Sandra, and was SO NICE. She did have to take another appointment about 15 minutes after working with me, but she was apologetic about it and explained they were busy (which they were). They only had 1 out of the 5 dresses that I had printed pictures of from their website, which was kind of disappointing although I did like the other ones she pulled. I tried on 4 total in a one-hour appointment, though 2 of them I tried on twice. If they had a dress close to the one I really wanted I probably would've purchased from them. I could tell Sandra was disappointed I didn't want to buy...she had me set up another appointment to come back, although I ended up canceling after finding a dress somewhere else. About a week later she called to ask how it going (I didn't pick up), and they called about 3 months later to ask again. It's not a pushy telemarketer-type call, they just ask how your dress shopping is going and I'm sure if I picked up and told them I already had one the calls would stop. It's nice that they have all different sizes so they actually fit you when you put them on. Most places only carry one sample size and you have to imagine how it really look. Their best quality dresses are in the Vera Wang collection, although those are never on sale. Their selection isn't great, but you definitely can't beat their prices. Honestly, I don't know how people can complain about the quality of the dress when they're only spending $500! You get what you pay for, and for what it is, I think David's Bridal is a decent value. I have no complaints about the service, I just wish the selection had more variety. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Two of my bridesmaids were leaving a boutique in West Hartford and decided to call Davids to see if we can look at dresses there while we were around the area. They were kind enough to take us in when we called ahead of time. So, I guess that could be the reason for their receiving of one star. Actually, I take that back. My cousin called and asked if we had to make an appointment, the girl said "yes" and hung up. So, she called back and asked to make one. We got there and I had the most horrific experience. They told us to look at dresses and our consultant would be with us shortly, which was as fine. She joined us and asked what I was looking for and if I had any favorite. Well, I showed her the one dress I liked and I'd be open to try anything similar. She said that they didn't carry that one, but if I really wanted it, she could see if other stores had it. Why wouldn't you just offer to call other stores? She pulled ONE dress and said that it was the only one similar to the photo and they didn't have anything else. That one dress looked nothing like it. We walked around and pulled other dresses. While I asked her about a few dresses, she just told me "no, that's a size 4." Obviously, I'm not a 4 and the dresses she gave me were a size 14, which I was swimming in!!!! She threw me and my two girls in a tiny fitting room. We discussed how unhappy I was, didn't even try on any other dresses and just walked out. She didn't even check on us when we were in the fitting room debating what to do. While we looked young and weren't dressed to the nines, she didn't even ask what my budget was or anything about the wedding. I didn't really have a budget. I just wanted to love a dress. We went back to West Hartford. Davids is too corporate, the two employees I dealt with felt like they were only there for a paycheck. read more

I went to David's Bridal in February to look at dresses with my sister who is getting married. She had an appointment but my mother and I did all the work. From pulling dresses off the racks to re-bagging them, we worked up a sweat running around the place. We had to flag down our assistant several times because she was double booked. I was under the impression that a bride to be should be pampered a little but that was not the case at David's. Luckily my sister did find a dress that she loves for a great price but that was the only positive. A week after she bought her dress, we went back to look at bridesmaids dresses. It was even more crowded and even more understaffed. Again we had to wander around to get assistance. I found a dress and ordered it that night and was told I should schedule a fitting which I did for the end of April. I ended up having to call to reschedule the fitting because my dress had not arrived to which I was told it would be here by mid May. I am still waiting for my dress despite the fact that everyone else has received theirs and I was the first to pay and place my order. My mother received a phone call that my sister was emailed "days ago" about her dress being ready for pick up but when my sister checked her emails she had only received notice the same day my mother was called. As it turns out, there are two brides with the same name so when my mom went to get her dress they had trouble finding it. Every step of the process has been aggravating. I walked into David's Bridal without an appointment and I had just asked if I could look around because I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted/needed. I started to look around and unsure of how they sorted their dresses I asked an employee that didn't look like she was attending another customer and I'm glad I did . Her name was Lily and she was very very nice to me, not only did she help me find the dress that I needed , being a bigger girl - we all dress that horrible question what size do you wear - and she didn't even have to ask me she just knew just by looking at me the size that I wore. She took me right into a fitting room that was available even without an appointment and helped me find a dress that fit me really well. she was very smart and informative about looks and even the type of wedding my sister was having. If you want the best experience possible at this store ASK FOR TEAGAN!!! When I walked in for my first appointment, it was crazy busy, I was called by the wrong name twice, and the appointment started 30 minutes late BUT as soon as I was working with Teagan, I felt great. She had like 3 other brides at the exact same time and I could tell that the others were connecting with her just as much as I was, she has a way of making you feel like you are the only bride there. I fell in love with a dress unexpectedly on my first go, but went back for another appointment to show my family before buying. My go back appointment was just as personal and I found the dress of my dreams. Throughout the experience, Teagan was recommending places to eat on our honeymoon, grabbing different veils and sashes immediately when I didn't love one, and helping to make sure I could sit, spin, and dance in my gown. I know a lot of girls don't have great experiences at this store, but I can guarantee you that if you have an appointment with Teagan, you will feel completely different and you will love the whole thing. I purchased my gown at the Davids Bridal in nj. However, I spent months questioning my choice and decided to stop in at Davids in Manchester to see if they had time to see me and if my dress happened to be in the store. They took me right away and not only let me try on the dress, also pulled up my file and found all the accessories I had also purchased at the store in NJ to try on everything together. Thanks to this, I realized I am very happy with my choice. They were kind, understanding, and motivational and NEVER acted annoyed or bothered that I was randomly stopping in without an appointment or having actually bought my dress at that sight in the first place. Every store is just the same. Only one girl out of my whole bridal party was helped the way she should be. When you go to get a wedding dress or a bridesmaids dress you think the girls there would do their job and help you. When I got my wedding dress my sister mostly helped me. I completely understand they help another client as well but to barely see her was hard when there were so many dresses we needed help with. As for bridesmaids dresses we barely got helped! Two of my girls who we made appointments for never had a single person come over and help them. That's where I stepped in. Such poor service. Should of gone else where read more

Customer service was horrible when I went with my daughter. The employees were rude and did not help, I ended up having to find dresses for my daughter to try on. My other brides maids complained of the same thing. I decided not to get my wedding dress at David's because of this. Very disappointed. read more

I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know about my experience with your alterations department at the David's Bridal in Manchester, CT. I purchased my dress from your store in September for a December wedding. At that time I scheduled alterations for my dress to be completed in November. The initial appointment with the alterations team seemed to go very well. I felt like I was listened to and everything was pinned based upon my needs. I picked up the dress 4 weeks later and was able to try on the dress in the fitting room. Immediately I noticed that something did not seem right and the girl who was helping me assured me that the dress "looked the way it was supposed to look". Not being a tailor/seamstress I took her work on this as she is the professional. Another thing that was immediately apparent was that the boning I had paid for was not in the dress. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes while she sewed that in while I waited. I then purchased a decorative belt from your establishment for $60 as I felt like that would help the dress as again something did not seem "right" with it. A few days later I tried the dress on again since something about it was still bothering me. I showed it to my Mother and she agreed that it was because the dress looked too big. I do not live near Manchester and frankly did not trust your alterations department by this point and took it to my local tailor. While at the tailor's she had me stand on a raised pedestal where it was now apparent that the dress was also never hemmed. The tailor let me know that the dress did look too big and that was not in fact "how it was supposed to look". She then re-pinned the dress and showed me exactly how it should fit. The amount of fabric she was taking in was incredible. Upon the altering of the dress for this second time the tailor let me know that the top of the dress was never in fact altered AT ALL. I paid $135 for my dress to be altered by your staff at David's Bridal. I then had to spend another $110 to have it re-done by a local tailor. To say that I am dissatisfied by your service would be a huge understatement. The stress that I had to endure to get my dress fixed in the several days before my wedding was incredible and I would never wish that on another bride. That being said, I will never recommend your company to any future bride. Furthermore, I already contacted your so-called CS department at DBCares@dbi.com and spoke with Ms. Beard who told me that because I did not take pictures showing the lack of alternation work from your company before having it re-altered there was nothing she could do. I had 5 days before I left the country to get married. I was upset, stressed out, and by this point had wasted a lot of money. The last thought the crossed my mind was to take pictures. I let Ms. Beard know that I could provide a receipt from the tailor that completed the additional work but that still wasn't good enough. Her "hands were tied", she couldn't do anything to help me. I will continue to share my story will every future bride I meet and will make sure to put my experience in writing where ever I can to make sure that no other bride has to experience what I went through. read more

Let me preface this review with 3 points: I was ONLY going to look at wedding gowns, had NO intention of purchasing, I had no idea what style of gown I wand AND this is the first time that I have felt the need to write a review on ANYONE OR ANYTHING!!! I arrived with my sister for my appointment at David's Bridal 20 minutes early and was greeted by the most pleasant and welcoming young lady. She took our information, signed us in and told us that our consultant, Sandra, who has been with David's Bridal for nearly 2 decades, would be right with us and that we were free to look around. it wasn't even a minute later when up walks this tiny lady with a huge smile on her face. She appeared to be so calm and friendly, which I really needed after the day that I had. She seemed to really pay attention to what I wanted and needed in my wedding gown and tried, almost without effort to accommodate me and make my wishes come to fruition. This too was something else that I appreciated about Sandra and her disposition because at that appointment there were several family members and friends who had very strong opinions about what I should/should not wear. However, Sandra, was ALL ABOUT ME. Although I had tried on several gowns that were "pretty enough", when I tried on "THE ONE", strangely enough, Sandra and I knew it before I even stepped out of the dressing room...I never said a word to Sandra about how I felt, but she said she knew because she saw how my body changed once I had the gown on and how that specific gown seemed to be tailor made for me! I agreed because the other gowns didn't make me feel the way that this one did. It was this reason why I FOUND MY GOWN and said YES TO THE DRESS!!! LOL! What a great experience. A week before prom we show up and Matt takes the worry out of situation and gives us FUN attention filled session. He has patience and truly customer centric attitude. I'm from California and this particular David's Bridal did wonders for me. You see, I was searching for a particular dress for my cousin, for her funeral to be exact. I called the online order customer service to see if I can get this dress in time. At first, she told me that they need at least some to process the online order. In other words, it won't make it in time. A wonderful David's Bridal online rep, LaToya, to be exact did the extra mile to find this dress in Manchester, CT. She assured me that the dress will be delivered the next day. She took the initiative to have the dress on hold for me. Kudos to her (is there a yelp page for david's bridal online?). She asked me to call Manchester David's Bridal and ask for Grace or Joy. I did what I was told. These ladies were the sweethearts of sweethearts. Grace is awesome. She made sure that the dress made it my way in time for the funeral. Grace, thank you for the sweet note. These gals didn't know how much they have touched my inner awe in this terrible time. I am not one to leave a negative comment , and also not one to fall for all the negative post as well , since each person deals with different matters, BUT I for one will leave a comment as I was HIGHLY disappointed on how my conversation was handle. I am not the bride to be , I wanted to surprise my BFF to David's Bridal so she can try on dresses and get her spirits up ,as she been looking forward to getting married for a long time , and since I will not be here for the whole process I wanted to get her started , she hasn't decided a dress yet as she was in the process of losing some pounds, I call the store to set up an appointment and the female on the other line , from the begin of saying Hello the attitude was as if I'm wasting her time , I explain the situation and she insist I would be better off coming when my friend is in better spirit , and that weekends are too busy only two people can be in a room, I carry on and felt as if she didn't want to be bother with us and we are interrupting her day, I explain I didn't like how she was coming out of her face with this , she try to apologize but it wasn't sincere , She decides to take down the information and that someone will call to confirm the appointment I told her its a surprise its best to contact me , she took my number but never my name , Bottom line I never got the call, I explain to my BFF the situation and she was happy I was doing this for her but sad how the REP handle the service , SO we took our business else where read more

I went in within the last week and was treated fantastic. I paid more than I wanted to for alterations, but it was so worth it. The staff took the time to take care of me and listen to my needs. I was very happy, and I will recommend this store to all of my friends. read more
