For this area, I'd say its not a bad choice. It has a wide menu for breakfast and lunch with the typical burger items and sandwiches. That's nothing here that will blow your socks off but the prices are decent and quality is typical of the food in this area. There's plenty of seating in door and out. This used to be one of my top 3 favorite burger places in OC. The menu is huge, tons of options, and the service was top notch. We even met the owner here one day and she was super nice. The food is still very good, but the management and service level has really slipped in the last year or two. They are horribly understaffed. We came in at 7pm during dinner rush, and the place had at least 20 customers inside, but only one person working the register and two people in the kitchen. That's it. 3 people during dinner rush. The cashier was on the phone for at least 10 minutes while we stood at the counter waiting to order, and never even acknowledged us. There were 5 finished orders sitting under the warming lights for those entire 10 minutes, with the customers still waiting for their food. When the cashier finally hung up the phone, she still did not acknowledge any of us waiting to order. She finally took all the backed up orders to customers, but never once said "I'm so sorry for the wait, I'll be right with you." She never acknowledged our presence at all until she finally came over to take our order. When we finally ordered she proceeded to tell us they were out of every kind of fries on the menu. No fries at all. What kind of burger joint runs out of fries? Crazy. So we just got burgers and a drink. Unsurprisingly, it took another 15-20 minutes to get our order. So all told, more than 30 minutes after we arrived before we finally started eating. That being said, the burgers were very good. And their menu is huge. Tons of options for everyone. If they can fix their staffing and management issues, and improve their customer service, this could be 5 stars again. But right now the service is far below the food quality. read more

Good burger joint with some decent beers too. The Napa Burger is consistently great with goat cheese, grilled onions and pesto mayo. Soft bun and high quality meat. The onion rings and garlic fries are both good side items. I used to really like the peanut slaw but it does not taste the same as previous times (maybe it's just a one off), but I will try it again to be sure. A great combination of mixed vegetables for those who aren't looking for a heavy breakfast. Comes with a side dish of your choice and in my case, hash browns all day, every day. Crispy on top and soft, stringy mushiness below. The entree also comes with your choice of bread. I went with wheat bread; decision driven by calorie intake. Parking has never been an issue for me. Pretty legit food. Came in for a quick lunch today and I was satisfied with the meal I got. I got the Tuna Melt and it was good. Not my favorite but still delicious. A few too many olives which are it very salty with the capers. I like salty but I could see how some wouldn't like it. I did like the aioli sauce that the olives and capers come in. Definitely a good sandwich that tasted fresh and had a generous portion of tuna. Also got a side of fries. I'm trying not to eat too much fried foods so I'm glad it wasn't a huge portion. But for $2.95 I felt it was a little light on the portion. I also feel that sandwiches like these should come with a small side of fries or garden salad which would cost the restaurant pennies. But overall it was a good Tuna Melt. Place is pretty clean with the workers being friendly and courteous. They were sanitizing the tables and wiping them down. Perhaps the biggest joke of a restaurant in Orange County. Rude staff, crappy food, avoid at all costs. McDonald's 100 feet away is honestly better. Ordered a large take out order, several items were incorrect. We called when we got home and realized this and the called to let them know. Here is where the fun begins. The employee on the phone was argumentative saying that 1) we ordered the wrong thing, 2) even if they got it wrong, it "wasn't that big of a deal", and "well what do you want me to do about now?" We said "refund the orders you got wrong to start" and he said, yeah that's not going to happen. Sigh. Not a surprise it is empty at 7pm. read more

Deemers lost customers this evening. We've given them so many chances. They typically mess up our order every single time. Tonight it was undercooked burgers, limp undercooked fries, hard as rocks chicken nuggets. I'm cooking chicken tenders from home because the ones we ordered are inedible, and my husband is pan frying the fries. I called and asked for a refund which they did give and I appreciate but whoever I spoke to didn't offer any kind of apology and was very short with me. Maybe they need new staff, I'm not sure but unfortunately we won't be returning again. Edit in response: my husband chose medium rare for his burger. I chose medium well, you can check the receipt. Great lunch spot! Delicious Napa Burger with goat cheese, grilled onion and pesto cream sauce, I added bacon of course. Onion rings were delicious. My husband was super happy with the Chili Cheese Fries and Chili Cheese Dog. He described the chili as between Tommy's and The Hat. Tommy's has a deeper, richer flavor and The Hat is more tomatoey. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast but I'll try that next time. I went with the chicken Cobb salad which it $12 is a bargain in today's post covid hyperinflationary restaurant world. The chicken was season nicely and grilled to order big slab of avocado, bacon, blue cheese and all the other stuff you like. I actually feel bamboozled by the 4 star rating for this restaurant. I don't often leave reviews, and try not to leave negative reviews, but I actually want others to not feel as scammed as I feel right now by the over-inflated star rating. Veggie Omelette: overcooked with a bad smell. I usually finish my meal even if I don't love the taste, but I almost never feel grossed out by food. It smells as if the grill hasn't been cleaned properly in weeks. Fries: the redeeming part of the meal, but still not great. I got hits of bad tasting oil...like rancid or overused oil? Kids chicken strips: they're not even strips of chicken. They are frozen pulverized chicken patties. Chick-fil-A and Raisin' Canes have better quality chicken. The best part: the people who work here are nice. This is honestly lower quality food than a fast-food restaurant. Hopefully others can avoid the trap. read more

Hickory BBQ burger is Nice, but not enough to bring me back. I did enjoy their garlic and parsley fries so delicious! Specially when you ask them to reduce cooking time by 30 secs less. I highly recommend that! Patio is lovely and quaint but it's small to hold a weekend crowd. For what they are prized at I'd expected more. Not a bad place just the burgers are not great. It was super busy on Saturday noon and they were having problems with orders. Our order came close to 30 minutes of waiting if not longer. Best huevos rancheros I have EVER had!! I make this dish at home but sometimes don't feel like cooking. It was spicy and saucy, the hidden tortilla was crunchy af, and the eggs were cooked perfectly! There was a side of hash browns perfectly crispy, as well as a side of whole wheat toast that was totally unnecessary. (I ate it anyway because the rest of the meal was sheer perfection.) Met a client here for lunch....place is located in a strip mall so plenty of parking. Went in and was impressed by the menu for a burger place. Nice selection of different items. Place is well organized and clean...the service was decent....they didn't ask how we wanted out burgers prepared (rare, medium or well done)....burgers were ok....not great....lacked flavor really....we both ordered garlic fries which were warm but not hot...also lacked flavor. I walked away thinking I would probably not be back. Place looks impressive but the food didn't match. Not bad but certainly not good. Bill for two was just under $40 so it should have been better. I brought the food baskets and trash up to the counter and the guy said oh you can just leave it on the table and we'll end up getting to it. Hmmmm how about thanks for being that up here. Love this place!!! Forget about In N Out across the street, spend a few extra bucks to get some good burgers and beer here!! Plus they have 3 TVs, 1 outside the patio seating. I tried their Hickery Smoked Burger with crispy onions and bacon in it, I really like it, love the presentation of the burger,nicely assembled and not falling apart. Their fries are pretty good too. RE: Deemer's. Let's chat, shall we? I would like to know if anyone else has been disappointed, specifically with takeout/delivery. I realize they changed ownership in 2022 and we've ordered since then, but this is ridiculous... instead of ordering online tonight (through Deemer's website, GrubHub, Postmates/Uber, etc.) my husband actually went over there to give our order to a PERSON. My "gouda burger" didn't have ANY cheese on it. My husband's "pepper jack/egg" burger had cheddar on it. My son's burger, requesting raw onion, had grilled onions. I get that if this was a first-time offense, it might not be a big deal. But they've screwed up so many times lately that I've lost track. Yeah, we can quit ordering from/going here, and we will. Inedible. The review about going to McDonalds is spot on. I don't know how you could mess up pancakes, but they've found a way. Ordered a waffle as well, and they both tasted like wet sponges. My toddler wouldn't even eat hers. We had been waiting 20+ minutes for our food. A couple sat down next to us, and they received their food within 10 minutes while we still had to wait for ours. When our food came out --without a smile from staff--, it was incomplete. Had to ask for milk for my daughter even though it's advertised as part of the meal.
