Had a nice breakfast at Deemers in Laguna Niguel. I ordered the Denver Western omelet, a coffee, and OJ. You place your order at the counter, and staff brings it to your table. Jose and Cheeto were both professional and kind, and the place was clean and orderly. The ambiance is positive, and the background music is upbeat and soothing. Recommended.

Good burger joint with some decent beers too. The Napa Burger is consistently great with goat cheese, grilled onions and pesto mayo. Soft bun and high quality meat. The onion rings and garlic fries are both good side items. I used to really like the peanut slaw but it does not taste the same as previous times (maybe it's just a one off), but I will try it again to be sure. Beer selection is limited but good for fast casual experience. Overall good experience and I will go back for another Napa Burger.

I ordered take out on Uber eats and everything was as expected. Veggie scrammble no cheese, side of hash browns. Food was good and they remembered to pack utensils. No complaints!

I thought this restaurant was a sit-down table service, however it was a quick service restaurant. You view the extensive menu, order at the counter and they give you a number to place on your table. Staff will bring out the food to you. I didn't realize the variety of foods that are offered at Deemers, and pricing isn't too tragic. For the burgers, fries do not come with it. The burgers are delicious and cooked well. Juicy, not dry and buns were toasted.

Mediterranean omelette with artichokes, tomatoes, spinach, and topped with feta cheese. Side of hash browns.

Picked up breakfast from here this morning, but I've dined in their outdoor patio before and really loved the fact that there is shaded seating because I don't mix well with the sun. The Foods. - Mediterranean Omelet | Artichokes, tomatoes, and spinach stuffed within the confines of three eggs and sprinkled with feta cheese on top. A great combination of mixed vegetables for those who aren't looking for a heavy breakfast. Comes with a side dish of your choice and in my case, hash browns all day, every day. Crispy on top and soft, stringy mushiness below. The entree also comes with your choice of bread. I went with wheat bread; decision driven by calorie intake. Parking has never been an issue for me. Plenty of parking spaces so pick a spot and make your way over to this great diner where they serve all American classic dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Great restaurant for a quick meal in the South OC area. Fits that classic American diner vibe and the menu is huge with many items to choose from, ranging from burgers, burritos, to dinner plates. We ordered the Chicken Sandwich, Shroom burger, and a chocolate shake. The food was great and filling, however the patty could be a bit more well-seasoned on the burger. Customer service was great and the employee who attended to us was friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cheap and quick bite in South OC! Items range from $10-$20 on average.

    Tuna Melt Sandwich

Pretty legit food. Came in for a quick lunch today and I was satisfied with the meal I got. I got the Tuna Melt and it was good. Not my favorite but still delicious. A few too many olives which are it very salty with the capers. I like salty but I could see how some wouldn't like it. I did like the aioli sauce that the olives and capers come in. Definitely a good sandwich that tasted fresh and had a generous portion of tuna. Also got a side of fries. I'm trying not to eat too much fried foods so I'm glad it wasn't a huge portion. But for $2.95 I felt it was a little light on the portion. I also feel that sandwiches like these should come with a small side of fries or garden salad which would cost the restaurant pennies. But overall it was a good Tuna Melt. Place is pretty clean with the workers being friendly and courteous. They were sanitizing the tables and wiping them down. Glad they have Coke products for I hate Pepsi. Overall good place to grab a quick lunch. Will definitely try breakfast next time.

    Undercooked burger.

Deemers lost customers this evening. We've given them so many chances. They typically mess up our order every single time. Tonight it was undercooked burgers, limp undercooked fries, hard as rocks chicken nuggets. I'm cooking chicken tenders from home because the ones we ordered are inedible, and my husband is pan frying the fries. I called and asked for a refund which they did give and I appreciate but whoever I spoke to didn't offer any kind of apology and was very short with me. Maybe they need new staff, I'm not sure but unfortunately we won't be returning again. Edit in response: my husband chose medium rare for his burger. I chose medium well, you can check the receipt. Mine should not have looked like that. See the receipt pic. Please don't try and blame us for the inedible chicken tenders. Thanks for the apology.

Great lunch spot! Delicious Napa Burger with goat cheese, grilled onion and pesto cream sauce, I added bacon of course. Onion rings were delicious. My husband was super happy with the Chili Cheese Fries and Chili Cheese Dog. He described the chili as between Tommy's and The Hat. Tommy's has a deeper, richer flavor and The Hat is more tomatoey. This was in between and he declared it very good. Unlimited iced tea refills. We sat inside and there is also a huge outdoor patio.

SERVICE IS A 0 .. FOOD IS A 4 I would like to give this place 5 stars but the man that works the register is always rude and makes you feel like we're bothering him. We pass on coming here sometimes because he makes us so uncomfortable with his attitude. The owner should replace him or stick him in the back where he does not deal with customers. We we're there Sunday at 1pm 11/27/2022. My burger was yummy, I had the Gouda burger, the only issue was the arugula was a little old and yellow. My hubby had the steak sandwich with Peanut Cole Slaw which were both really good.

We've been coming to deemer's for years and we still love it. It's been a bit and I noticed that they have a massively expanded breakfast menu and have expanded their hours. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast but I'll try that next time. I went with the chicken Cobb salad which it $12 is a bargain in today's post covid hyperinflationary restaurant world. The chicken was season nicely and grilled to order big slab of avocado, bacon, blue cheese and all the other stuff you like. The lady went with the California omelette bacon, mushrooms, avocado and cheese comes with a side salad or hash browns and toast. All in all good time as usual.

Veggie Omelette: overcooked and smells disgusting...tastes like it smells sadly
    Charlotte L.

I actually feel bamboozled by the 4 star rating for this restaurant. I don't often leave reviews, and try not to leave negative reviews, but I actually want others to not feel as scammed as I feel right now by the over-inflated star rating. Veggie Omelette: overcooked with a bad smell. I usually finish my meal even if I don't love the taste, but I almost never feel grossed out by food. It smells as if the grill hasn't been cleaned properly in weeks. Fries: the redeeming part of the meal, but still not great. I got hits of bad tasting oil...like rancid or overused oil? Kids chicken strips: they're not even strips of chicken. They are frozen pulverized chicken patties. Chick-fil-A and Raisin' Canes have better quality chicken. The best part: the people who work here are nice. This is honestly lower quality food than a fast-food restaurant. Hopefully others can avoid the trap.

    Yvette B.

Sadly, I agree with the recent review that Deemer's is going downhill. We regularly ordered from here as prices were reasonable compared to other options. Today we received BURNT bacon and eggs that were ordered "over easy" way overcooked. Sadly this may be our last time ordering from Deemer's.

Ted's doesn't bother with any of that nonsense. Ted's just delivers the goods. I've been going there for years, long enough that the rhythm of the place feels like an old blues song you know by heart. I'm the guy who orders the Denver omelette with salsa on the side. Every single time. And every single time it comes out exactly the way it should: fluffy eggs, just the right hit of peppers and ham, the salsa bright and honest, like someone in the kitchen actually gives a damn. No drama. No surprises. Just competence, the rarest ingredient in the restaurant business. Now let's get one thing straight: I'm no pushover. I'm a hardened chowhound, the kind of guy who's eaten enough questionable meals in enough questionable places to know the difference between real food and the kind of grease-slicked heartbreak they sling at certain fast-food counters. You know the type, where the cook is juggling a cigarette, a spatula, and what appears to be a deep philosophical relationship with his own nostrils while your breakfast slowly becomes a medical event. Ted's is not that place. The chicken club, hold the Thousand Island, thank you very much, is a beautiful, no-nonsense stack of poultry and bread that understands its job. The carne asada burrito comes wrapped like a promise and delivers on it with gusto. And the steak sandwich? That one deserves a small standing ovation. They buy good steaks, real steaks, and cook them the way steaks were meant to be cooked: hot, fast, and with respect. In a world full of culinary pretenders and Instagram food that looks better than it tastes, Ted's is rock solid. The kind of place that doesn't need a story, because the food tells it for them.

The service was excellent and can see that staff takes great care and attention to making sure everything is taken care of. We very much appreciated all the amenities this inn had to offer such as the welcome drink, evening cookies (delicious!), sauna, sunblock at the pool, towels, lovely breakfast.. all complimentary (breakfast with resort fee). We also appreciated the 10% military discount. We stayed in room 23 which was a standard queen bed with garden view and liked that spot because it felt central, private, and quiet. The room is on the smaller side but it was fine. It does not have a fridge but they provide an ice bucket. We ended up putting our bottled waters on top of the AC box and that kept it cool. Being that the inn is beautifully historic, there weren't many outlets inside the room. The bath robes were very plush. Both lamp shade knobs didn't seem to turn properly but we made it work somehow. Otherwise, we felt well taken care of throughout our stay and so glad we came. Aside from the inn, there is a walk to get to Victoria Beach. We walked south along Coast Highway to Victoria Place and found the underpass from there. We also took the free trolley outside of the hotel to get around town. It could be quite a wait for the trolley as we waited 30 mins. There is a QR code on the sign to track the trolley locations.

Casa Laguna Failed on the Basics: No Power, No Hot Water, No Peace…read moreWe chose Casa Laguna expecting a relaxing and memorable getaway, but unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was a dog left unattended in a guest room that barked throughout the day and night. We emailed the property that evening to report the issue, but did not receive a response until approximately 12 hours later. By then, our ability to relax and enjoy our stay had already been greatly affected by the constant barking and lack of sleep. The power outage was another major problem. We understand that a citywide outage may be beyond the hotel's control, but the entire property lost power with no backup generator or emergency power available. There was no hot water for showers, and basic comfort and services were unavailable. The outage also created a safety issue. Because the outdoor areas and steps were completely dark, my wife could not see where she was walking and struck her toe on the steps, resulting in a large blood blister and a cracked toenail. Because of this injury, she was unable to go on the hikes we had planned during our trip. There were several other issues that added to the disappointment: The flashlight provided in the room was not working during the outage. The room lighting was extremely dim, making it difficult to see comfortably. The air conditioning was very loud and did not appear to be working properly. The bench area outside our room had a strong urine odor, making the outdoor space unpleasant. Highway noise was constant and loud, even inside the room, making it difficult to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere we expected. Despite the location, there is no easy beach access. Guests must drive, hope to find available parking, and then take a long walk to reach the beach. Casa Laguna is a beautiful property, but a beautiful setting cannot make up for poor comfort, noise issues, lack of basic services, and how problems are handled during a guest's stay.
